I was duped into coming here, a carnivore invited to what I thought was a standard Indian restaurant. I thought I'd be noshing on fish pakora, butter chicken, and goat curry.
Instead, I discovered I had been invited to a vegan/vegetarian only establishment, and didn't know until it I sat down and looked at the menu.
That being said, even though I wanted meat... What I got wasn't bad. Tasty, in fact.
The restaurant also has a cool vibe to it, and in fact had ANOTHER restaurant inside sharing the space.... But also vegan.
I can't for the life of me remember the names of the little pillow things I got that were served with three different sauces, but it was delicious. The pillow things had a great texture, very cloud like, but nice to chew. It soaked up the various sauce nicely, as well.
The samosas were.... different. They had some sort of sweet sauce on them, and had been cut open/exploded, and some of them were missing filling. Still, for the most part delicious. The potatoes and veggies it was stuffed with had a great texture, and the shell was crispy. The naan was... Naan. Perfect textbook example of garlic naan. Nothing bad to say.
But I will say this... It takes a loooong time to get your food here. Came for lunch, and took a solid hour for everybody at the table to get their food.
And so, this carnivore gives a VEGAN/VEGETARIAN restaurant a 4 out of 5. One star off for taking a long while to get the food, and for the exploded samosas missing filling.
Still, if you're vegetarian person, I could see this place being absolutely delectable. You should definitely check it out, as everything is seasoned very well.
As for myself, I probably won't return (just being honest) because while delicious, this place REALLY made me miss the meats.
