Thamel NYC

The bar is not too obvious from the outside. Nice decor on the inside. Good vibe. Found out about this place since I attended a daytime event held here. They have a small stage with lights. You wouldn’t think the place exists in the area. Give it a try when you’re along Roosevelt Avenue.

Great atmosphere. Great design. Awesome selection of drinks. We were lucky to be in the Friday night when Raju lama performed. They have live music. Only thing is they are not big to accommodate a lot of folks. Overall, one will really enjoy their weekend night at this place.

A great spot to hangout and have some drinks with your friends. My beers were served in a chilled glass like the way I like it. The bartenders and servers were super courteous from the very beginning till the end of each nights I have been there. The bottle services for my friend’s Birthday Party were exceptional and well worth in his experience. Most importantly, the place stands up well to its name “Thamel” and it is the closest that resembles the “Thamel” experience in NYC. I suggest people to try check-in before 7PM to make sure you get your entry as the place starts to really fill up past 7PM and you want to avoid standing in the line. The reason why I keep going back to Thamel is the the great people, employees, great live music and the DJ…. I love the playlist with the DJ and live music.. although the weekends are the best time to come here and meet a lot of people ages 21-35.. Personally My I love their Mellow Mondays nights.. the employees are great and always want to make sure you are taken care of… I always feel like I m welcomed here

The best Nepalese bar at this point is in New York City. I have been here on different occasions with my friends and this comfortable bar has had the best effects! Probably the best bartenders and hosts, lovely show of the verity of beverages and their delectable bites. Their feel gives an energy of the genuine Thamel of Kathmandu Nepal. The ambience is chill and cool and the staffs are likewise truly cordial. I would like to recommend everybody to visit this nice and beautiful bar.

Exotic Nepalese Lounge. Finally a decent hangout place in New York which reminds us real Thamel. Each and every details perfectly resemble the Thamel in Kathamndu. Choose to come for my birthday all the way from Baltimore and Thamel you didn't disappoint us, You were above and beyond expectation. Jimmy and our servers for both days , you guys are phenomenal, amazing hospitality.

As soon as you walk in you feel the great energy of this hidden gem. It was my first time two nights ago. Not only was I blown away by the esthetics of the bar, the interior decor & live band that was lucky playing on this night. But the drinks were amazing! Had a great conversation with the bartender. Ankit Jung, which took care of me with a 5 star service. Will be back next week. Highly recommend Thames Bar.

Definitely the best bar in town. The servers are very welcoming, courteous as well as chill and their service is best I've seen around here. They serve varieties of drink and love the drink specials. They have a pleasant environment and good choice of music.Be sure to be there early and don't miss the fun time as this place stays busy since they are best in town. Its also a great place for birthday bash and any kind of party events. Highly recommended for a good time and drinks.

I had an amazing experience at Thamel before leaving for India! The server I think his name is Luis, he provided exceptional service, ensuring our needs were met with a warm response . DJ Tyapes, seamlessly blending tracks that kept the energy alive all night. Kudos to the team for making it an unforgettable night for me and my friends. Live music playlist was great. If you are into Bollywood Music this is the place where you can enjoy both live music and DJ.

Went with friends on a Friday night. Very expensive drinks but mediocre service. We do not intend to patronize this establishment in the future.
