The Korean Restaurants to Try Around Atlanta

"Head up to Duluth for Korean fried chicken at Thank U Chicken. It’s totally worth the trek north. While Thank U offers traditional batter-fried chicken on its menu, the standout stars include the soy sauce marinated and the spicy sauce fried birds. An entire chicken here averages around $25. Beer and wine are also available." - Eater Staff

I tried out Thank U Chicken and overall it was decent Korean fried chicken. However, they ran out of jumbo wings which was a bit of a disappointment. The decor was cute, but the waitress was very cold and unwelcoming. I might do takeout from here again, but dining in is not happening again.

The food is amazing. So good! The best fried chicken I have ever had. The staff was helpful and attentive and the location was comfortable and clean. For the amount of food the price was very reasonable. I will definitely be stopping here more often.

Thank U Chicken is a pretty great place! I come fairly often, and the service is never bad. Always smiling and ready to help. Only thing is that platter one (can order with the chicken) always seems to come out when we are almost done with our meal. No biggie. Overall, I think that the only improvement this place could have would be the timing of the dishes. As far as tips, I highly recommend going past the normal chicken menu and ordering the thighs and gizzards as well. The gizzard has a special taste to it that I don’t really find many places.

Tasty enough chicken but you can tell they're understaffed. Like everywhere else in the GA, they need waiters for faster service. Prices may be too high for most. Best to go in a group. Get the whole chicken & couple sides to share. $19 for half chicken with Galbi Sauce and doesn't come with sides. $7 for fries

Really enjoyed the chicken. Next time will try the gizzards, they looked good. This place fries a whole chicken. There are different flavors. We ordered the half and half, I had the thank u chicken and sweet chili chicken. It was so good. Also had the house fried rice, I will just stick to steam rice next time. When you are ready to order you just press the button on the wall, service is fast. Will definitely be back, so I can try the gizzards and spicy noodles.

Came here for lunch on Sunday and it wasn't busy at all. The service was so amazing but our server didn't know anything about the menu nor did he have any good recommendations. I can eat very spicy foods so I got the spicy chicken waffle (extreme hot). The spice level was an 8/10 but still tolerable. If you think Sriracha is spicy, you won't be able to eat this. The dish is gigantic and there's so much food!! Unfortunately, not everything on the dish was good. They had this radish side that was absolutely disgusting and the cream corn was okay but tasted like it was mixed with just mayo. My friend had the kimchi rice balls and the beef rice balls and he liked it. I definitely would come back again and try something new.

Thank U Chicken for the fried chicken. Now that's out of the way, let's talk chicken. Located in Duluth with plenty of other places to eat and drink, Thank U Chicken brings a Korean style fried chicken to the plate. You can either order the traditional wings or stirps, but the mainstay of the restaurant is the whole fried chicken. Come hungry, leave belly full. Personally, I didn't order and don't see myself ordering the whole fried chicken. It does look very appealing when I saw other people ordering it though. Buttery crisp and super crunchy. Picture that for a moment, definitely not KFC or Popeye's, but still good. Plenty of sides to choose from and other desserts, so it's safe to say that there's pretty much something for everyone. Even a nice bowl of noodles, because why not and it tastes good. If you're in the area and have decided against all the other places to eat at, come try Thank U Chicken. Good for casual outings or even groups.

Thank U Chicken serves the real KFC! We ordered the sweet and spicy fried chicken and it was absolutely phenomenal. We got it to go and the lady at the counter was super friendly and polite. It was well packed, came with pickled radish and dipping sauces. I will definitely be going back to try their seafood soup and kimchi rice balls and of course to eat more chicken!! I think it's my favorite place for KFC after Harue.
