"While many restaurants are having trouble getting fish at all, this Hellenic favorite in Ft Lauderdale is still serving up local catches, as well as sweet oversized tiger shrimp, wood-grilled lamb chops, marinated chicken breast skewered on rosemary, and NY strip. Sides include roasted fingerling potatoes or Brussles sprouts, and salads, from Greek to fennel and arugula with orange, are bountiful. The restaurant itself is so beautiful, make sure to return when it fully reopens." - Beth Landman

We are going to this restaurant every couple of months. I love the fact that the menu slightly changes. We always pleasantly surprised by the freshness and quality of the food , as the restaurant is never too busy. Ordered salad , lamb chops and sea bas , all was superb. One of the reasons I love this place is that , as a interior designer , I can't get enough of this restaurant's design. Someone did an great job there, catching the essence of Greece's traditional elements but elevating them to the level of sophistication, which creates the unique high-end atmosphere. The smart and elegant light design is the best part of the experience. Just perfect .

Been going there for over 12 years and it is a five-star experience every single time. Most importantly the food is always consistent and tasteful. The service is great, the ambiance is magnificent and the live music elevates the entire experience to the next level.

Excellent service from the staff! Drinks were outstanding. Started with crab cakes fresh and tasty! She had sea bass and risotto omg excellent! I had the NY strip cooked perfectly medium rare. The most tender strip I probably ever had. The blueberry cheesecake was divine! Made from greek yogurt instead of cream cheese so good! Highly recommend this restaurant we will definitely be back!

SLOPPY SLOPPY SLOPPY SERVICE!!!! Used to be my fave restaurant in town I will no longer go. I was shocked at the sloppy service. Left with multiple dirty plates and menus still on the table. We decided to leave after the entrees. We felt like an afterthought. I will enjoy discovering better restaurants in town.

Had an incredible experience at Thanos Greek Restaurant! We arrived a bit late, just before closing, but our server, Michael, made sure to take our order before the kitchen closed, and he welcomed us with such warmth. His service truly stood out-he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, especially for my sister's birthday. The food was delicious, but Michael's exceptional service made the night even more memorable. Highly recommend this place for both the great food and outstanding service!

Google
Excellent traditional upscale Greek restaurant. When you arrive the owner Sophia greets you with a friendly smile and is so hospitable throughout your dinning experience. We had a choice of where we would like to sit within the restaurant which was a nice change of pace. Live music was the perfect touch to the evening. We enjoyed the calamari, branzino, lamb chops, and a bottle of white Greek wine with ekmek katain for dessert for around $220. We will definitely be back 😃 I will also add all their fish are fresh on ice and not frozen!

Wonderful experience dining at Thasos, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was amazing with live music and the service offered by Valentino was great. Highly recommended!

Google
The decor is lovely; a serene blend of white, beige, and wood accents. I enjoyed the live music playing softly in the background. Our server was attentive and provided excellent service. While the food was a bit bland, I believe the flavor profile would benefit from additional seasoning and spices. The ambiance won this time around!

Yelp
Prior to my first visit to Thasos, I walked by it on a daily basis and was convinced it was a spa. It has that comforting cocoon vibe-- which as it turns out is accurate, just in restaurant form. Now that I've had the pleasure of eating here, I highly recommend it. The service is that perfect blend of always available yet never obtrusive. My scallops were perfectly perpared. My friends both had the branzino and raved about it. The salad was large enough for the table to share. The dessert was the same. It was one of the nicest meals I've had in a while. So I am confused why Thasos was nearly empty at 7pm on a Thursday. It should have been packed. If, like me, you pass by this building at Oakland Park & A1A wondering what it is, maybe pop in and give it a try. I'm adding it in my regular rotation.

Yelp
Long drive for me to meet up a friend for dinner, but she recommended it, so we gave it a swirl, and boy, did we pick well! Ambiance is a bit boxy, but you can't help it since the restaurant sits at an intersection and has its own parking lot, which is a plus. Inside is contemporary and well lit; however, it maintained a warm atmosphere. We sat at the bar for a drink, then had dinner at one of the booths. Bartender's mixology was on point and the food was really good. Food: The branzino was very special, and it really reminded me of home - I know this is a Greek restaurant and I am Italian, there are similarities. We also shared the roasted eggplant, very very good. Service was attentive and friendly - admittedly it seemed a slow night and it was a Wednesday so we had the staff's full attention. If in the area, I will definitely go back and try other menu items.

Yelp
So-the food was so good I forgot to take pics! Cant believe i havent checked them out sooner. The restaurant is beautiful - you feel like you are in Greece. Def a great date night spot or spot for a special occasion. Ordered the tzatziki and the saganaki- both were delicious. For my meal I ordered the scallops - honestly best scallops I have ever had. They were cooked to perfection. Staff was attentive and friendly. I cannot wait to go back!

Yelp
WOW! We recently had the pleasure of dining at this incredible Greek restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolute culinary tasteful experience. One dish that truly stole the show was their mouthwatering lamb chops. Cooked to perfection, each bite was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. But the lamb chops were just the beginning of the dining experience. They offered many types of fish, chicken, steak... The restaurant's ambiance was warm and inviting, with a touch of Greek charm. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to provide recommendations or answer any questions we had. Our waiter Etaf recommended the best options for every course of our meals. The overall atmosphere, was relaxed/laid back vibe. Whether you're looking for a cozy dinner for two or a fun gathering with friends, this restaurant caters to all. If you're a fan of Greek cuisine and are craving remarkable lamb chops, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

Yelp
Went there last night for dinner--what a great time! The vibe, decor, music and service were all great. Our party of 4 enjoyed some unique cocktails and a good bottle of Albariño. We shared some tasty small plates including grapes leaves, octopus fritters, keptedes & octopus salad. The only bland app was the calamari. We shared two entrees which were a very flavorful whole fish as well as lamp chops. The lamb chops were delicious. The blueberry yogurt cheesecake was great! We will be back.

Yelp
It's official, this place is amazing. My wife and I went back a second time last night. From the service to the drinks and their amazing food, once again everything was excellent. Started with a couple of their Cucumber Coolers and had the Octopus and Calamari as appetizers. The drink are so good. The Octopus just like last time was truly the best we ever had. The Calamari was perfectly cook. Tender with a light and flaky breading. The best part of everything so far is it tasted exactly like it did the first we went. There is nothing worse then going to a restaurant and expecting one thing and then the flavor is totally different. For dinner I had the Scallops and my wife had the Red Snapper. I will say my Scallop dish was so delicious. For my wife Red Snapper, hands down the best snapper dish we have ever tried. Super fresh and the seasonings they use and the how it's served is tremendous. We are already planning our next trip back. I'll say it again. By far the best Greek food we have had.

Rick C.

Yelp
Horrible service food and attitude. Never go there. I never will again. Go to Greek Isle instead. Food and service is so much better. Sorry the owner passed because the wife needs to retire.

Pat D.

Yelp
March 2023, came here because friends told us how much they really enjoy the food, and service. The inside is huge and beautifully decorated, with a large bar area. We arrived for Happy Hour and sat at the bar. The server was wonderful she brought us out bread with a delicious eggplant dip on the side. We ordered the Zucchini Chips that came with a tahini sauce. These chips were crunchy and delicious, so delicious we ordered two. I do have to make a commitment on the Bar and Dinner Menu, there is NO Description of what each dish was. It was like a guessing game, I had to Google everything listed. This to me is annoying, I am wasting my time looking up each item. All and all, not a bad place for Happy Hour and not sure i would have dinner there since it is a little too pricey.

Adry G.

Yelp
Came all the way from Miami to try this amazing restaurant. Yes the decor is beautiful, but what stood out the most was the food. You can never go wrong with the saganaki - as always the crispy parts are the best. My branzino was fresh and mouthwatering. Such a simple dish but extremely well executed. & the desert - ekmek kataif - hard to pronounce but a great way to end the night. Very light and perfectly crunchy. The waiter was very nice and very patient with us - we didn't have a reservation but came at opening time so we were seated immediately.

Macoisinha M.

Yelp
We had a great dinner here. I'm a lil bias because Greek is one of my favorite cuisines, but not every Greek restaurant is a good one. Service was spectacular and the variety of vegetarian dishes were great. Food was very tasty n generous portions. The Ambiance was also great. Planning to go back soon.

Natalie S.

Yelp
What a great atmosphere, loved the live music and the modern, relaxing decor. They have a great cocktail list. I had a blueberry bellini and my friend had an espresso martini, both were great. We did a lot of appetizers rather than entrees. They all were delicious! We had saganaki cheese, fresh bread with olive tapenade, green hummus with pita, brussel sprouts, grilled octopus. The service was good.

Cliff L.

Yelp
Had dinner for two last night. Venue is beautiful, food was quite delicious. Very big problem was, that there was a huge party with over 200 people!! We weren't warned about the party when our reservation was made through "Open Table" !! Not sure who's responsible, but there should be some sort of communication between the restaurant and "Open Table", so that customers are made aware of the situation... I do commend the restaurant for accommodating us with proper services. We were seated in a separate dining area (no other diners were there), although the noise from the party was still overwhelming, our waiter - Stanley, was very nice and attentive, in the midst of the party he was able to check on us every 10 minutes or so... Timing of the service and quality of the food were not effected by the party. I would return there again, but next time I might call the restaurant directly rather than relying on "Open Table" for the reservation.

Yelp
Thasos, undoubtedly represents an upscale quaint Greek dining experience. The ambiance and decor exudes tasteful elegance. There is plenty of seating choices to include a full service bar and the live music is always so delightful. The owner, is so very welcoming and he always ensures your dining experience is enjoyable. The lamb chops were prepared as requested and the blueberry cheesecake was also very good. This restaurant is a must enjoy whether you are a local or just visiting the fort lauderdale beach area.

Sabrina P.

Yelp
First time visiting Thasos, and probably the last. The ambiance and interior was lovely although the food was very mediocre. The bill was also very very expensive and we were left with upset tummies :(

Skylar S.

Yelp
Great service, AMAZING food, I will definitely be going again when I'm in Florida. The food came fast, but they were honestly some of the best dishes I've ever had, it was my first time having Greek food and it left a great impression on me. I definitely recommend this place for a fancy night out or date night or even just a casual lunch/dinner. My fav thing had to be the dolmas, def recommend those, but yeah 10/10 recommended going here

Yelp
Thasos is an upscale Greek restaurant located off A1A. There is a well lit parking lot and a fair amount of self parking. When you enter you are met by the hostess who was quite pleasant. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The server was quick to come to our table and place items, take a water order and return to get our drink order and appetizer order. We ordered fried zucchini chips and watermelon with feta salad. The fried zucchini chips were amazing and will transport you back to a small Greek village. Crisp and tasty. The watermelon and feta was also delicious and refreshing. For entrees we ordered scallops and red snapper with a side of forbidden rice. The scallops were cooked perfectly and seared to perfection. They cut like a hot knife through butter and melted in your mouth. You couldn't have asked for better scallops. The red snapper however, was about 2-3 minutes over cooked. The fish was dry and rather unremarkable. The bed of spinach under the snapper was delicious. The forbidden rice was not what I was expecting, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't my take on what was coming. Even with the miss on the fish, Thasos is a solid 4 stars, 5 had the snapper been cooked properly. They serve a crispy bread with olive tapenade that is delicious, and the service and atmosphere is outstanding. We did observe what we think was branzino being served at the table next to us. I would definitely try that on a second visit, it looked awesome and the table side preparation was a delight to observe.

Yelp
We had a 645pm reservation and arrived on time. they quickly sat us, environment and atmosphere looked inviting so we were excited. We sat inside and the seat was standard. random waiters stopped by with water, bread however it was until 7:05 the waiter stopped over to take our drink order. We didn't get our drinks until 7:15. we have been sitting for 30 mins, this is unacceptable from fine dining restaurant. I got an extra dirty martini which was not that good and my wife received the wrong drink. Mind you our waiter could careless we were there. never stopped by to check in on bread, drinks anything. He Seemed pretty arrogant like how I felt the rest of the staff was. We ordered our food right away due to the waiting. Spicy feta and Greek salad were good. tough to mess those up. We received our dinner, timing was ok here. Wife got red snapper which was pretty much raw on the inside. I ordered the chicken because honestly I was so annoyed I just wanted to leave. Waiter still has not stopped by to ask how the meal was. We complained to the waiter and he removed the fish dinner. we let him know he needs to check on his customer more etc. Whatever, let a reasonable tip based on the shit service. For me, if a restaurant wants to charge over $40 for a single piece of fish and $60+ for some lamb chops, I'm expecting very good service to match those prices. That didn't happen here..food ok, service sucked, drinks ok. I'll never go to this or another Greek restaurant again honestly. There's so many better restaurants in Fort Lauderdale, don't waste your time and money on this place.

Michael B.

Yelp
Had a mixed experience of visiting this place with a party of five. 1) Positives: the interior is nice and expensive, but that is probably all 2) Negatives: - the restaurant is called 'Greek', however, we could find only 3 really Greek items on the menu, and the gyro was not good at all - the waiter was arrogant if not contemptuous, with silly jokes and offering the most expensive choices on the menu; when we told him we didn't like his service and asked to call the manager he simply disappeared, while the service fee was automatically added to our check - finally, we faced the manager when exiting the place and gave him our feedback, but what we had from him was only an insincere apology We travel quite much overseas and know what real Greek hospitality and real Greek food are, so, in case you are looking for these in the Miami area, Thasos is definitely not an option.

Jerry C.

Yelp
Thasos Greek restaurant has one of the most beautiful dining atmospheres in Fort Lauderdale. With stunning chandeliers and floor art, the interior looks like modern Greece, all light wood and soft white linen textures. We took advantage of Dine Out Lauderdale which offered a 3-course dinner for $45 ($55 for lamb chops). There were plenty of appetizers and entrees to select from. Six of us shared appetizers. The fried calamari was lightly battered and delicious! The octopus was perfectly grilled and tasty. The saganaki came out dramatically flaming in a pan. We all agreed that the appetizers were very good, but unfortunately our entrees were less successful. My medium rare lamb chops came out almost well done and lacked seasoning. The filet mignon skewers were 'overcooked and tough.' The seafood risotto was 'just ok.' The Greek desserts were interesting, especially the Ekmek Kataifi with vanilla custard and chantilly cream. Our server was awesome and friendly. He always had a smile and made sure we were having a good time. Ditto the busboy. Service was 5 stars and made the night (ambience = 5 stars, appetizers = 5 stars, entrees = 3 stars).

Adalberto M.

Yelp
Phenomenal. This place has been on our radar quite some time. On a whim, was able to grab a reservation and off we go. Valet parking is available and definitely recommended. When we entered, we thought we were transported to modern South Beach. The decor of this place is absolutely crisp and elegant. We sat and ordered our drinks and food. The seabass I ordered was truly amazing. Nice, thick piece of fish perfectly cooked and flavorful. My wife ordered the lamb chops also cooked perfectly (which isn't easy to do!). Yes, the food and decor of this place is amazing. But also the ambiance. There was a live band playing nice mellow greek music, then at 8.30 the singer arrived singing greek songs. Definitely a date place or intimate gathering with friends. Highly recommend!

Yelp
A beautiful restaurant hidden alongside the bridge. A first for us and would definitely go again. We made a 6pm reservation and we're seated immediately in a basically empty restaurant on a Friday night. We discovered guests began arriving closer to 7pm. Our server was very nice and greeted us warmly. We ordered a cocktail from the list offered. My was supposed to be special concoction of blanco tequila with ginger and cilantro but came out brown. My husband ordered honey & the bees which was whisky but his came out clear. Wrong!! I questioned the waiter and he said no it's correct. Honestly I'm pretty sure white whiskey doesn't exist!! Since it was not corrected I set mine aside and didn't drink it nor did we pay for it. Red wine was a delicious choice instead!! We started with a meze of the octopus grilled- which was excellent! Tender & delicious. Also the saganaki (flaming cheese- a signature dish ) for fun. It was tasty and my husband loved the display. I requested the lamb chops medium - thank goodness bc they came out medium rare. Hmmm. My husband enjoyed the moussaka which was excellent!! One of the best I have ever tasted. The flavors were superb. Our waiter treated us to dessert which was very nice of him bc I would not have ordered it although tempting. It was the ekmek katamifi. Fluffy cloud of yummy deliciousness. Honestly worth the calories. I was too relaxed to take photos. We very much enjoyed our meal and the mistakes were corrected. The service was attentive and responsive , ambiance is lovely and the food is excellent. A trio played live guitar music and was delightful!! I look forward to going again. A delightful evening. Thanks!

Anne S.

Yelp
Was thrilled to sip some retsina upon arriving, only to be told by a stroppy waiter that "they aren't THAT Greek." When I asked about some traditional Greek dishes, he curtly said I should get those at Greek Islands across street--and I certainly will, with pleasure from now on--because Thasos only serves specialty dishes. We all have bad days, so I was willing to ignore his bad attitude. The ultimate nail in the evening's coffin, however, was discovering some items were stolen from my center console thanks to the valet parkers. Don't bother coming here!! It is not a pleasant night out. Good and ambiance is nice, but all ruined by above happenings.

Marian M.

Yelp
Very trendy greek place where you can find nice and creative flavors! A bit expensive though. Un lugar griego muy moderno donde se pueden encontrar sabores agradables y creativos! Aunque es un poco caro.

Donald A.

Yelp
Having been to this spot under previous iterations I was excited to see what has happened since the 5 years I had last been there. The bar was crowded with a very well dressed crowd who apparently were here for the Boat Show. We got a table in the far room , thankfully away from the noise. I had one of thier whiskey drinks, not bad. We started with 2 of the hummus apps, a green one and an eggplant one. The green one was okay the second over powered by red peppers and inedible. Taste aside they come with dental challenging baked pita chips that could penetrate steel. Has management ever tried to chew on one of these? I had the lamb chops which were fine but they came with roasted potatoes( OK) and string beans straight from a cruise ship buffet. For $60 could they not do better? The real reason for 2 stars is the disgraceful pasta that looked two days old and tasted like it. My partner who is a vegetarian order this as it was his only option. Having eaten 6 pieces and left the rest I commented to the waiter how terrible it was. A place with standards would have immediately asked what was wrong and tried to make amends, but alas , Florida. Again for $26.00 this Chef Boyardee dish deserved to be throw over board. It will be another eon before return here. But maybe with a new concept, 4th time a charm?

Anastasia Z.

Yelp
Greek restaurant, fancy, live music, good food, reservation required :) Thasos is probably the best Greek food I had outside Tarpon Springs and Greece of course. We were there couple times. I had branzino and octopus. Both were really good. Greek salad was very tasty. My friend insists they put some special olive oil. Could be. Haven't tried the desserts. Yet Valet parking. Which is very helpful. I recommend the place for a night out. Very pleasant atmosphere, good food, service is professional.

Ana M.

Yelp
This is definitely a place that I will come back to! My sister had been wanting to go here for the longest time, and we finally made it on a Friday night! The place is beautiful, nicely decorated Greece style, modern vibes and amazing food and service. I got there first and sat at the bar. While waiting for my sister I ordered a Watermelon Basil vodka drink and enjoyed the music and atmosphere. My sister was held back at work so I say there for a good our before she got there. I wanted to try one of each drinks because they all sounded so delicious but I loved my Watermelon Basil drink so much that I ended up sticking with it all night. When my sister finally got there, we ordered the zucchini chips with tzaziki dip, the grill octopus and the saganaki. Everything was so delicious and perfect. Then we ordered our entrees. I got the branzino and my sister got the seabass. They were both fantastic! My sister let me try her seabass and it was honestly the flakiest and most flavorful fish I've had in a really long time. My branzino was also unbelievable!! We were there for a good 4 hours so we also watched the live music, which is awesome, typical Greek music, all the musicians obviously super talented!! This is definitely a place I will go back to and try everything else in the menu!!!

Tony P.

Yelp
I came here for a friend's birthday. I looked at the menu and reviews and I had reservations. I decided, based on the online menu, to get the fish and chips. To my surprise, it wasn't on the menu at the restaurant. I ended up ordering the filet mignon, medium rare. My steak was not medium rare. My server, Peter, decided to tell me I was wrong and that it was fine. He said it would take 20 minutes to get a new one. At this point it was almost 9 and I was hungry so I dealt with it. The mashed potatoes were fine. The asparagus was not good. It was soggy. Overall, the complaint from almost everyone was that the food was too salty. The scallops, the calamari, the carrot puree, the crab cakes, and other dishes were too salty. One of our party ended up getting a headache from all the salt. Also, the carrot ginger puree seemed to be missing the ginger. This place is not worth the money. For that price you're better off a almost any other restaurant. You'll have better options, better execution, and probably better service. Also they have real candles on the table. Why? One almost fell over into the cloth napkin. The side items are all very boring and not well executed. For the price point, I expected more. There was also a horrible smell coming from the bathroom area, that didn't have doors.

GIUSEPPE D.

Yelp
Excellent service Great food What a pleasure classy all the way Relaxing music too

Roni L.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant. The decor is very pretty. Food and service were amazing. The Greek music was very nice. We'll definitely go back.

Benjamin L.

Yelp
Four of us went to Thasos for the Crave Fort Lauderdale special menu. For me it was a return to an older favorite that did not disappoint. For my 3 friends it was a great first impression, especially since this is one of the prettiest restaurants in Ft. Lauderdale. To their credit, Thasos offers a very generous number of choices, and everyone had a fantastic meal. Not every participating restaurant does. The Greek salad and calamari appetizers were excellent and large. The spanikopita and grape leaves delicious. Two of us had the shrimp scampi and it was really good with a sauce that added fresh cherry tomatoes to a regular scampi. The salmon was really terrific, as were the filet mignonette kebabs. The desserts were all good enough that no one wanted to share. As always the service was warm and friendly

Melissa R.

Yelp
This was my first restaurant that I attended for dine out Lauderdale and man did I pick the right one to start. The restaurant had amazing ambiance and the staff were super friendly with great food to back it up. We were given the regular menu but had to ask for the Lauderdale dine out menu from the waiter. He provided it with no hesitation. We started off with appetizers and decided to share a variety for the table. We ordered the trio dip, calamari, and saganaki. Great start to our meal. The cheese came out flaming which was great fun for pic opportunities, the calamari wasn't over fried and was nice and tender on the inside with a great crunch on the outside. The trio dip also good and came along with pita chips, whipped feta spread, eggplant and green chick pea hummus. For the entree my daughter ordered the lamb chops for an up charge, my cousin ordered the branzino and I had the salmon. All great entree dishes. The fish were amazing and the lamb chops were cooked to perfection. For dessert, we had the Ekmek Kataifi vanilla custard, chantilly cream, pistachios, sliced almonds. It was a nice tasting dessert. All in all, it was a great night with great food.

Cheyenne R.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my experience at Thasos! The response so stunning! It will probably become your home decor inspo. It's so bright inside and has lots of seating. I decided to try their Lauderdale Dine Out Menu which did not disappoint. I ordered the calamari, lamb chops and vanilla cream dessert. It was all so delicious that I have to come back again! Thank you for awesome customer service and fresh food!

Candace M.

Yelp
Always such a pleasant experience. From the front door until your exit, your entire meal is a pleasure. The food is top notch. The service is friendly and professional. This is the best Greek restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

Ayesha R.

Yelp
First time at this establishment. The decor was such a vibe felt like I was eating outside the bright white colors and natural touches were calming. The fresh flowers on the table I loved. The service was great our waiter was very knowledgeable and recommended great bottles for the table. For the food it was good size portions. For appitetizers the hummus and chips were good calamari was crunchy and fresh and you can never go wrong with some fried cheese. As for the entrées.The branzio was cooked perfectly the lamb was tasty the salmon flakey and juicy and my daughter loved her filet mignon screwers. They have a private room available as well which I love. We went on a Wednesday which was a little quiet but looks like they also have a live performance on the weekends. Such a cute spot try them out.

Spencer L.

Yelp
Thasos is a lively and exciting modern Greek restaurant with live music and a menu that can cater to everyone! Service was efficient for a party of 8 people everyone was able to get a different cocktail and entree

Lan T.

Yelp
Food is very good seafood fresh drink strong service excellent back to check on your table beautiful place very clean will definitely come back

Scott Y.

Yelp
What a beautiful restaurant. A lot of thought went into the design of this restaurant. Two private dining rooms, a beautiful bar area & a welcoming dining room great you as you walk into Thasos. The menu is authentic Greek with a fantastic wine list, cocktail & beer selection. We started with the Greek Salad which was fresh and had a delicious vinaigrette to compliment the tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, feta & olives. Then the grilled octopus over fennel salad was such a nice surprise compared to the usual presentations. The "medium" branzino with mixed vegetables & an extra side of grilled asparagus were perfectly prepared and so enjoyable to eat. Our service was seamless and well paced. However, it should be noted that towards the end of our evening the owners & bartender were maskless even though there are signs on the front door and host stand that clearly state that "Broward County requires masks". When we spoke with the female owner about this she was quick to point out that "we are all vaccinated & today Stanford released a study saying masks are not good". Thanks for the amazing meal. We won't be back. Follow the rules or don't open for the shift.

Emi B.

Yelp
Ok.... Second visit as my first visit was so great. Ordered the same thing- Grilled Octopus - soggy not as fresh Tiger Shrimp - overcooked Cheese - cheesy SAD quality is not consistent

Olivia S.

Yelp
I have a few other Mediterranean/Greek restaurants I Love, since these are probably among my favorite kinds of foods, but this tops the list now! Of course, this is more upscale and expensive than the average place, but I found the food fantastic. Among other things, they have a grilled lobster that was great. All the usual things, like the hummus, Greek salad, etc., all Good! They also had fried smelts and grilled octopus, which I Love!

Sofia P.

Yelp
Had dinner here last night with friends. What a great evening with live music, great service and food. We started with a bunch of appetizers including saganaki, Greek salad, grilled octopus, meatballs and zucchini chips. I can't say enough about the quality and flavors. For dinner we had the lavraki and sea bass. Both cooked perfectly and delicious. Also need to mention the extensive Greek wine selection. Will be back for sure!

Gary S.

Yelp
Finally got around to it. We loved it. The food, the music, the service and the drinks. We will be back.

Food was amazing; service from Alexande (552) was beyond horrible let alone with a cocky, sarcastic disrespectful attitude. Then he came up to me and try to tell me where I needed to go in my weight class.

Yelp
Thank you Thasos for transporting us back to Greece and the Greek Islands. For years we admired your beautifully lit building from the outside. What took us so long to enter inside and experience your fantastic atmosphere, food, MUSIC, and service I don't know. I'm so glad we did. What a beautiful space! The food was fantastic (red snapper, green beans, moussaka, baklavas)! Thank you for a beautiful evening and we will return!

Yelp
Thasos is a Fort Lauderdale hidden Gem. It has great ambiance, excellent food, and warm and personable staff. I had the filet of grouper with a caper sauce and spinach there recently and it was delightful! I will definitely be headed back!!!!

Yelp
Update...As loyal patrons we decided to give Thasos another try and again we were disappointed. My husband's salmon was over cooked again after my husband specifically asked for rare salmon because of previous salmon mishap. My snapper was so fishy tasting I couldn't eat it and they left the potatoes off my dinner plate as well. To be fair my son said his pasta and prawns were good. Staff was pleasant enough but our waiter was not really on top of it and the restaurant was far from busy. Not sure what is going on there, but if we decide to ever go back, it won't be for a long time. What happened to the original Thasos, we miss that one. I hope they can get back on track as we used to love going there.

Yelp
I came here for Mother's Day of this year and it was a really great experience. The staff is absolutely amazing, as soon as we came in we were greeted with warmth and kindness. The food here is excellent and the drinks are really good as well. It's a great restaurant if you want to spoil yourself and if you have extra money to spend. The inside is decorated very beautifully, as soon as you walk in you feel like you're in the Mediterranean on vacation. I love the vibes. Can't wait to come back soon.

Yelp
I decided to try Thasos after I found it on the Lauderdale website. Which listed it as a participating restaurant within "Dine out Lauderdale" which is similiar to Miami Spice. With a 3 course menu. I had reviewed the menu online and was surprised to find the one provided at the restaurant was missing some items from the one I had seen online. Thus the missing star. We ordered zucchini chips & calamari as our appetizer. My husband settled on the filet mignon skewer and I had the grilled whole branzino. The fish was absolutely delicious! I'm typically the one who tends to go for steak, however I'm so glad I took my servers advise. We finished our meal with the chocolate mousse cake and the Ekmek Kataifi. I'm not a big fan of sweets so the Elmek was perfect, it had sliced almonds atop a pudding with whipped cream. The service was outstanding and the decor of the restaurant is lovely. Live music was playing and the ambiance was perfect for a date night. I highly recommend it, and will definitely be returning!

Yelp
Excellent Greek restaurant! We went to Thasos with a couple of friends last night. As always, the quality of the food and service is outstanding. Our friends were very happy with the ambiance and the Greek music, giving the place a magic touch. Although is a bit noisy, it is a typical noise for a Friday night where the people love to enjoy great food and wants to have a good time. For those people who are complaining about noise and are aware of the conversations of others, I recommend that they go to church or a park. Try to enjoy life! Thasos is a piece of Greece in Ft. Lauderdale! Cheers!

Yelp
Poor service and overpriced food. Restrooms stunk. Not impressed at all. Definitely not worth it. You can go across A1A and find a much better restaurant.
