THAT Burger Spot! #1

SOOOO GOOOD!! Food was top tier!! I was craving a burger… a REAL burger and googled near me at the time and this soothed up so I pulled in and boy was I glad I did. Tavon and his colleague ( can’t remember her name) was on point with customer service! Fries were delish too! Go here frfr!

This place is the ONLY spot to get a great burger‼️ been coming here at least 2-3 times a week honestly 🤣 great vibes, great food, great experience. The staff is all good people and they care about the quality of their food. Even have the music on point. Y’all gotta try it at least once, guaranteed to come back. 💯

Just got my Grubhub order. Ordered the Just Wakin Up turkey burger! Not only did I not get the fried egg, mayo. The burger patties were the size of breakfast sausages!!! I've been trying to call, left a voicemail, still waiting to hear back. Have been to this location twice, TRUST this will be the LAST time if there is no resolution!!! UPDATE: So, after adding this review, someone responded asking that I email my contact information to office@hrinvestments-georgia.com. Well, I emailed and guess what??? Got ABSOLUTELY NO response back! Even checked Spam. Just sad! THAT Burger Spot, go ahead and keep my money. But know that it's the principle!

The food and the atmosphere was great. I had the just waking up and my wife had the chicken cheese steak which were both cooked to perfection by I believe her name is ayesha. Very professional. Her Co worker was very polite as well but didn't get his name. I will be be telling my family and ffriends about this place. Oh, the music a little loud but love the music. It's a vibe

Me and Hubby tried this place for the 1st time yesterday. It wasn't the BEST, but it was good! We enjoyed it ALOT. The restaurant was inviting. The 2 ppl working were pleasant. They paid attention to the notes/details! He had a freestyle burger with his choice of makings. Only thing I'd suggest is not cooking the patties too long. Change the oil a bit more frequently for the fries/add some seasoning! Great taste! The chicken Philly I had was BOMB! Prices were very reasonable. Their SLUSHEE was very tasty! Definitely a 4/5, WILL EAT AGAIN ! THANK YOU, THAT BURGER SPOT #1 ! GOOD JOB

First time going and I absolutely loved This location. The all female crew were amazing!!! Even though they were pretty busy one came out and showed us how to place our orders on the ordering stand. The burger I ordered was amazing! Quite juicy. And no complaints! I ordered Cajun fries to go with it. The fries were good but my only feedback was not to just have Cajun seasoning but it needed salt as well. I highly recommend this location! I will be back.

We visited this location after driving through Riverdale and googling “Wings near me”. Once entering the restaurant, orders are taken and paid via kiosk. The process was simple & quick. Once you enter your phone number after paying for your order, you can receive a text message confirming that your order is ready. Our order was fresh and hot and the wait was not long. The only issue that we had was the wings. They were not cooked long enough and had more of a baked chicken texture vs. a fried, hot wing texture. The skin on the chicken had no crisp at all which was disappointing because they had nice-sized wings. If we ever return, we will have to ask for extra, extra crispy. On the other hand, the staff were friendly and the fries were great!

I usually don’t do this, but I came to this spot because it was black owned! We placed our order at 9:00pm , we didn’t get our order until 10 pm. It’s completely understandable that the burgers are made to order, but when I have waited an hour for the food for the fries to be cold and so damn oily that I had to go home and squeeze the fries with a paper towel so my stomach doesn’t hurt from all the oil, and I had to put them in my air fryer, and the fact that I went out of my way to add the fries cause they don’t come with the burger… Also, they didn’t change their oil so they came so brown, they were not fresh… The slushie literally tasted like faucet water, like literally. The burger was good but I bit it and my stomach started bubbling… I don’t know man… maybe I’ll try a different location because this one wasn’t it… then I don’t want to get started on these non customer service ass young people… this is just so disappointing cause I could of went somewhere else…

I wanted a burger so bad like it was calling my full name. Went to visit my friend and she suggested this local spot near her home. We arrived, parked right in front of the door, hopped inside (literal skipping doing the hungry dance), and was greeted. The rep showed us how to order from the kiosk which were pretty detailed and it sent us a text letting us know when are food was ready. Everything was perfect! I thought I took a photo of the meal but apparently I was some kind of hungry man this day and devoured it before I could! For reference, I got a double turkey burger with fried egg and with Cajun fries. This will be a go to anytime I'm in the area! The food was amazing!

So it took us an hour trying to decide if we should order this because we couldn't find anything about if fries were included in the price and no one answered the phone. No one had any reviews/comments about whether they were included or not so we assumed it was. Because $24 for a burger and no fries just didn't sound right and surely SOMEONE would have said SOMETHING if it wasn't included, Right?...So we get it. Annnd nothing. No fries... We were bamboozled. Overall, the food was pretty good! Would recommend. Well...everything except the fries, since we never got them!

Wow. I can't believe I took so long to visit this spot. Let me start by saying... this is one of the best burgers I have ever had. EVER. I had been saying that I was going to check out one of their locations forever now, but was finally in the Riverdale area after visiting my mechanic and knew it was time. I was starving by the time I pulled into the huge plaza lot that the biz sits in. There were several parking spaces so I assumed that there were not many guests going to be in front of me. When I walked in, I immediately liked the setup. There were beautiful murals dedicated to Atlanta and Atlanta greats on the walls, music, movie posters and more adorning the space. I knew they didn't have indoor dining, but I didn't expect the ordering procedure. Instead of ordering at the counter like most spots, the biz has two machines setup where you can order your own meal with a few taps. I LOVED this process!! I'm indecisive and like being able to take my time to check out the entire menu, play around with my toppings, etc. without holding up the line. I ended up ordering a single burger topped with pepperjack cheese, grilled onions + jalapenos + mushrooms, bacon, and an egg. I also ordered a drink and a side of their cranchy fries + extra sauces. About 5min or so after ordering, I was given a drink cup and I feel like maybe I waited 10-15min in total for my order. It didn't feel long at all, I may be adding on a few minutes BUT either way, any minute was worth it. I could see and smell them preparing my meal from scratch in the back, it smelled SO good in there! After that little wait time, a young lady came from the back and handed me my food. I won't lie friends. That meal didn't even make it out of the parking lot. I was praying that people driving by didn't see me scarfing that baby down. It was all so fresh! I tackled the fries first. I liked them, but think that I'll go with another flavor next time but let me tell you, they were yummy, super fresh, and they were super generous about the seasoning. I went for 24K sauce and the remoulade to dunk my fries in. The 24K is seriously GOLD and I'd like 3 bottles of it. The remoulade wasn't my vibe. Now, onto my burger. The bun was the first impression and what an impact it made. It was so soft and buttery, biting into it was heavenly. My burger was so delicious!! The toppings were plentiful, it was hot and fresh, the portions were amazing. I seriously can't express how much I enjoyed my meal and the experience. Can't wait to return!

Whenever I'm in the area, I have to go to THAT location to get THAT burger because their burgers are THAT fire! I always tip my imaginary dad hat to restaurants that offer different meat options for those of us who don't eat beef. Their turkey burgers have me in a headlock that rivals a Stone Cold Steve Austin move. I love using the touch screens to customize my burger with lettuce, tomato, mayo, onions, and mushrooms. I always get different vibes with French fries, so sometimes I go for Cajun, and other times, lemon pepper. Highly recommended!

This is a to-go restaurant only. You can preorder on their website or on a kiosk inside store. We tried to order through the app for pickup but it only allowed scheduling starting March 1st. So we ordered inside. On the kiosk menu it showed FANTA grape but we got Faygo grape. Lol not a big deal. While we waited for our order, there was an extremely strong foul sewage smell. I think it came from the fountain drink machine. It wasn't until after an employee came from the back and got ice from the machine that we started to smell it. Although the Impossible cheesesteak didn't look appetizing it was actually pretty good. The seasoning on the Shrimp was a bit salty otherwise it was ok.

This was once my favorite burger spot, but this is yet another order gone completely wrong!!! I'll never come back!!

I was in the mood for a good grilled burger. Based on the reviews I decided to give it try. Upon entering you greeted by cool music and kiosk machine to place your order which is nice. I ordered a cheeseburger. After abt 10 min it was ready. Honestly, I really tried to like it but it was hitting the spot for me. I'm not sure what makes this the "best burger in Atlanta" but if that's the case I'll stop eating burgers in ATL. It wasn't flavorful and didn't have any grilled taste. For me it wasn't worth the cost either. I've had much much better. Glad I gave it a try to support a local business.

Hands down one of the best Turkey burgers I've had. The service is excellent, but I highly recommend placing your order online and doing pick up. It's a small take-out only, and you place and pay for your order electronically. Loved the mural decor. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

You lost a long time customer who is an active supporter of black owned businesses. The turkey burger I ordered this evening was not fresh made, nor fresh grilled, no flavor tasting like it came out of a warming drawer. I have visited this location in the past and always was overjoyed with freshness and flavor. You missed the mark this evening. I returned to the counter to speak with someone about the issue - and only person on floor was a younger gentleman. I expressed my disappointment and he had no way of responding other than to look confused. I know you are a franchisee and also know the standard the original owners have set for the franchises. You missed the mark horribly tonight. I rarely eat turkey burgers and had a taste for one knowing I could get freshness and handmade excellence. This did not happen. I won't be trying you again - next time will go to Fayetteville or Jonesboro. Good luck.

Best burger I've had in a very long time!! I ordered on line and when I arrived my order was ready, Perfect service!!

Drove from Stone Mountain to try the burgers, the burger was okay even though everything I asked for on the burger I didn't get, the fries were SALTY!!!! There was literally clumps of salt on the fries I couldn't eat them, I spent $30 for 2 burgers and fries and wished I just would have went to Burger King .

Best burgers in town , Hands down !!!! Remember to get the secret sauce ! It really doesn't take long at all . I order at the kiosk and that puts me in the queue .

Food is killer! A little pricey but OMG delicious! Only thing I would change is cooking the burgers a little longer.

My son and I were passing through so I told him to look for a place to eat. He wanted a burger and this place popped up in his search so I said let's go there. A bit of a hole in the wall. No tables and a few chairs to wait for your food. Fun mural around the counter. Two kiosks where you order and pay. Because there wasn't a place to sit and eat because we didn't know it was take out only, we found a nearby park to enjoy our food. I got That Fresh Prince burger, nice and hot, two patties with melted cheese getting gooey with bbq sauce. After driving 5 hours this definitely hit the spot. These are the kind of food spots I really live for, no bells or whistles just straight to the point delicious food.

I always enjoy this spot when I visit. Great food, service and not over priced. Food is cooked to order so this is not a fast food spot. No place to eat inside so be prepared to take orders to go. I highly recommend this place if you like burgers. They also have some great crinkle fries, I will be back.

I usually love this place. However the last couple of times were not up to par. One day about a week ago on a busy Friday, they were only taking phone orders. Ok, so I went somewhere else. This past week I ordered an Impossible double patty. It was disgusting. One patty was burnt and black - overcooked and the other patty was ok. So because I had driven all the way home after already a too long wait, I ate the fries and the one patty. Lately, I am noticing a lot of my favorites have something shady going on with the food. I hope this trend does not become the norm.

Ok now I'm all about trying new places, but for me to try a burger spot on a Sunday (4/10/2022) is not me. I was in Riverdale area and couldn't decide what to eat today. I decide after about 20 minutes of sitting in H Mart parking lot that'll I try it. Besides nothing else came to mind .... I drive over....small place not so readily noticeable that's in a deserted former strip mall. (You had to live or be familiar with the area late 80s early 90s to know it had some former life). Walk in and was greeted and told to use the standing kiosks to order. Ok. Ok. Touch screen (obviously it's not cleaned after each use); but there is hand sanitzer close by. Easy to read. Now my only issue I discovered after the fact. But we'll come back. The ordering process literally is a step by step process to build your burger. Plenty of protein (meat or non-meat) Options. I chose to try their beef and turkey blend. I was surprised this was an option. Before everyone jumped on the ground turkey bandwagon about 20 years ago, my mom would trick my step-dad into eating ground turkey by making a blend. Lmao. But I digress. Anyway you can choose your bun. Meat or not, cheese and toppings. Of course, if you go outside the standards, there is a small upcharge. Everything is a la carte. No combos here! So my burger so I thought had burger blend, bacon, grilled onions and grilled peppers. But somehow all was "lost" interestingly except the green peppers. I like mayo and mustard and A1 sauce. I don't think the A1 made the cut either in the order and burger making process. Soo I'm not sure what happened??? I Think my burger was about $8.50. It was good and flavorful. Sides: Onion Rings..ok and doable for $3.29 + Cajun crinkle fries $3.29. Yes yes yes!!! I would order again. Side of ranch $0.25 for dipping fries Now, I believe I got my $16.53 (this is with tax) worth considering food was cooked to order. Everything was hot, fresh and yummy to my tummy. Now here is where I had an issue...timing...it was nearly 45 -50 minutes to get my order. I was told 15 minutes. Waited 22 and then told another 7 minutes. Wrong! Wrong ! My Sunday time is valuable. I had time to go across the lot and order Waffle House get food from there and come back to still wait. Young lady says normally not like that and wasn't sure why they were slow. Well I came, saw and ate but I won't be back to the Riverdale location Hwy 138. (Hey that rhyme ..lol) Only because of the time. Probably should let customers know or have your app advise of wait time. The decor was pretty cool. I also like you receive notification via text of order being ready. But it's a wait forever then grab & go. Check your bag too if you order extras sauces, etc. Before leaving out. They seal your bag with staples. If you don't mind rolling the dice of waiting more than 20 minutes (which is my line) then try this location out.

My wife and I have ordered from this restaurant at least three times, and their burgers are delicious! The service is definitely faster, and the food is always delivered promptly. We haven't visited the physical venue yet, so I can't speak to the atmosphere, but we want to do so soon. If you live on Atlanta's southside and are searching for a pretty excellent burger, you should certainly check them out!

Burger was incredibly delicious and juicy. I got the turkey burger with egg on top and man I love when you bite into a burger and everything doesn't slide out the back. Place was busy and suggest order ahead Will stop again next time I am near Atlanta airport

Another hit through Uber Eats! I ordered the fish sandwich. I arrived so crispy, and they weren't skimpy with the fish. If I could guess I would assume it's an actual full filet. Before I ordered I had to do some research on what kind of fish it actually was. Turns out it is swai. If you go on the website there's actual photos, and descriptions for the burgers. I enjoyed the seasoning, not too salty... just perfect! I got lettuce, cheddar, fresh onion, with a remoulade sauce. The one thing I didn't like is how the onion was chopped up into a bunch of small pieces. Overall the sandwich was great, and I definitely recommend them. I think the total without the Uber eats fees was somewhere a little over $12.

Love the slushies and I keep coming back for my hot and tang wings. Must try if you are In the area

Excellent, excellent, excellent burger place. I've eaten here over 10 times and each time the burgers are juicy and flavorful - no matter what time of day or night the consistency remains. I've tried both the beef and Turkey burgers. Both were on point! Never thought burgers and fries could get any better until I tried this place. Keep up the great work!

I ordered my food online at 7:04p, they said it would be ready at 7:22p, I got a message 7 mins later saying my order was ready. why is it ready so fast. When u got there they had my order sitting under a heat lamp with the "cold" soda inside... why is my cold soda sitting in the bag under the heat lamp??? DUH!!! Smh

My sister told me about that burger spot claiming they have the best burgers around. We went in there and everything is contactless. You order from a kiosk and there's no combo deals. It's all A La carte and the wait time is around 15 minutes. This place is a strictly a take out spot. I chose that long way burger which is basically a classic double cheeseburger without the bacon on it. My sister got the cheeseburger with the bacon on it. For my sides the I got the Cajun fries, and sweet potato fries with a fountain drink. The sweet potato fries was for my mom who wanted to try their food. Overall the food was great. I took off a star, because there was no AC in the building. During the time of day I went the sun plus the heat coming from the stoves made waiting in there unbearable. Me and my sister opted to wait in our car. The food was so good, I didn't post get a chance to take photos of it. Disclaimer, the price of the burger starts at 9 dollars and once I added up everything it came to about 21 dollars. So keep it mind, it's a little higher than most burger spots.

Here's my big issue with THAT Burger Spot - lack of consistency. When they are good it's a 4-5 for me all the way but you really never know what you're going to get. Sometimes it's a juicy crispy chicken patty all sauced up, the next time it's a chicken patty beat to all heck with a little dab of sauce. The lemon creole fries - amazing - unless they aren't. You either get them crispy and full of seasoning or you get them soggy with hint of the spices. I keep trying because when they are good they are good but it's always a gamble if you're gonna get 5 star food or 3 star food.

Make sure you check your order before leaving! When I got home , were missing 2 items that i ordered . WTF!!

The staff is super helpful. The burgers are very flavorful. My family really enjoyed them. I definitely recommend this establishment. Quick service, lots of parking, a clean atmosphere and many options in the menu. worth the money.

Today I ordered the wake up sandwich with lettuce no buns. It is very flavorful and FILLING ! With no bun ! It comes with bacon and I had to eat it without the bacon because the burger and egg was season. I would rate it at 5 stars if i wasn't too salty. But it was good. The lady that helped me was sweet and quick ! I would def. Recommend

First off, when I came in today , we were never greeted ordering our food off the kiosk or picking up. I checked my food to make sure everything was there and there wasn't any bacon. When I told the girl in the front I was missing bacon , her response was "There should be bacon on both of them". Well evidently that's not the case. She gives my food to the cook and he says there's bacon on there and she tells me the same. Mind you , once I looked back at the burger , the crumbled bacon that was added was not there the first time. In conclusion, the customer service needs serious help 0/10.

I went to the riverdale location for the first time and decided to freestyle my burger. I put no tomatoes because I'm allergic and verbally let the staff know but ended up having one on my burger anyway. I didn't realize until I bit into it and immediately spat it out.

All the other fast food burger joints can get behind me with Old Scritch himself. That Burger Spot may seem a little expensive to some, but fast food is not that cheap nowadays either. So, if I am going to get a burger, I will pay a little more for real, delicious beef and not the dog food that other restaurants try to pass off as food. Every burger I have had from That Burger Spot is so delicious. There are a variety of sauces available to put on your burger, and there are vegetarian friendly options as well. There are a variety of seasoned fries to accompany your burger, too. Do yourself a favor and say bye to all those nasty burger joints that are charging you to eat pink slime and send your business to That Burger Spot instead.

That food was a miss for me! The burger tasted like a frozen patty and the cheese tasted like Kraft slice it just didn't do it! Five Guys is still a better spot in my opinion

This SPOT is tha business. The customer service was refreshing. The ladies were very pleasant and helpful. Our burgers and Cajun fries were Sooooo good. When I bit into my burger, I actually SCREAMED OUT LOUD!!!! So delicious and juicy. I'm really glad I came to see yall and I'll be back to visit soon.

4 stars for a pretty frickin good burger. This was my second time at this location but my first was almost 2 years ago and the cook was very heavy handed with the salt that day so it took me a while to come back but this time....this time it was perfect. I ordered "that just wakin up burger" and it was exactly what i was craving which was simply put... a good burger. Not overly salty, the meat was juicy, and everything was just put together well. I also ordered a side of sweet potato fries and they were perfectly crispy not soft and limp like what tends to happen with sp fries. I didn't realize you could call in an order but when i went i just missed the lunch rush so no big deal. They cook all the food to order so be patient or call ahead. It took about 15 minutes to complete. Will be back soon because I've seen some newer things on the menu that wasn't offered my first go round.

Very good food and friendly staff. Too bad it isn't a large enough space to eat in, but otherwise worth the visit!
