I'm a huge pizza fan, especially if you can buy it by the slice and eat it on-the-go. ATMOSPHERE: You can smell it from hundreds of feet away! Tiny shop with outdoor seats. FOOD: Pepperoni & Cheese The single slice is the size of one you'd get at Costco, but of course tastes worlds better. Thin & chewy crust and delish. SERVICE: Fast & friendly. OVERALL: Great pizza! There is a penalty to use your credit card.

I’m a huge fan of NY-style pizza, and this place does a really great job with it. We ordered their signature vegetarian gorgonzola pizza, and the dough was absolutely perfect, light, crisp, and flavorful. Honestly, it’s worth the drive if you’re visiting Bainbridge or Poulsbo. The price was reasonable for the size, and overall I highly recommend this spot. My only small suggestion would be to use a slightly more flavorful mushroom variety, but that’s just a minor preference, the dough alone carried the whole experience. Also I do not suggest their pizza by the slice as they didn't look so appealing.

PNW pizza is an abomination… But, this place makes great pizza. Prior to our first visit I was as skeptical as a paleo anthropologist at a Southern Baptist revival. “No way this will be any good! This is Bainbridge Island!” No self-indulgent cracker crust wood-fired nonsense here. Just real, classic pizza. 9/10 slices up! Best pizza I’ve had west of Chicago.

Excellent pizza. Staff was cool. I was HIGHLY impressed with the quality of the pizzas. Minor plot twist.... there is no indoor dining, only outdoor. Nice tables and zpatio umbrellas. . As a full-time dad and part time super hero, I had blankets in the car, and we made it a picnic. 10 of us just having fun and loving the day.

Best pizza in the nation, for sure. I haven't had this in 29 years, but I talked it up to all my family and friends. It did not disappoint when I finally returned. Wish they still had the sit-down atmosphere still.

Great sourdough pizza. Their hours of operation are atrocious, however. Usually when it occurs to me to grab a slice, they're closed. 230p-730p every day of the week is bananas.

Let me start by saying if I could rate a 4.5 stars I probably would as I was on the fence here. I really liked the pizza. We had a cheese pizza with ranch sauce and the ranch sauce was excellent as was the sour dough crust. From a balance perspective there was a lot of crust around the edge so I would definitely suggest adding some ranch to dip it in. Of course, that will cost you extra. We also purchased a dessert brownie and it was good. I feel like their pricing on their menu board could be more clear as we had to ask on some items. They also were out of drinks as they said their vendor did not come to fill them. While they can't be blamed for this, it did cause us to have to drive to the gas station and get drinks to bring back for when our pizza was ready. Seating is non-existent inside and very limited outside with little to no shade in the evening. At the point of this review the restaurant also does not accept American Express. Just a heads up for those business travelers or American Express customers so that you are aware that you will need a different form of payment here but in another swerve they also DO NOT accept cash.

I swung by here more out of convenience than anything else. It wasn't on my bookmark list but since I was right by it going to Bainbridge Island Brewing I figured it would save me time in scrounging around for food later. What drew me in was their sign that they did pizza by the slice. I always like these kinds of pizza restaurants because I don't necessarily want a whole pizza. I got a slice of cheese pizza and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The pizza was pretty good, I've had better but it wasn't bad and it got the job done for me with getting a meal out of the way. I liked the outdoor seating and the Autumn weather felt cooperative in having a nice dining experience outside near the restaurant.

Amazingly tasty pizza - great menu choices for vegetarian options. Thin crust has a nice char. Ingredients are fresh. Soooooo Gooooood!

Strictly a take out place. On a nice day there are a few tables outside. Pizza is among the best I've had.

First off, the counter staff is very friendly. The place itself is very small with no inside seating--which we didn't find out until we walked in. You place your order for the pizza and then either remain inside or go sit outside at one of their tables with an umbrella over it. It was an especially hot day so the umbrella was welcome. To my wife and I, the pizza here was another example of wood-fired pizzas being overrated. We ordered the Extreme Pepperoni and the BBQ Chicken, which apparently is one of their "Favorite Chicken Pizzzas".Their crust is thin and a bit soft, which always surprises me with pizzas I've had cooked in those ovens. Why don't they ever turn out like the ones I see on TV that are cooked in those ovens in pizza places in Italy--a little charred but firm a good, chewy texture? My wife and I love our red sauce on pizza. My wife makes pizza from scratch and she's mastered the crust and the sauces--red sauce, white garlic sauce and a a white aioli sauce. So we know our sauces. And that was the primary weakness of the pizzas we ordered--no sauce. We don't understand the owner's reason for adopting this style, which is not unique to this place. The Extreme Pepperoni indeed lived up to its name. All that pepperoni flavored the pizza. It had to because there was zero red sauce that I could see beneath the thin layer of cheeses, which seems to be mozzarella and provolone. The BBQ Chicken pizza was a major disappointment. In addition to lacking the red sauce--or any sauce for that matter--there was almost no actual BBQ chicken on the pizza. The slices of red onion and green pepper far outweighed the bits of chicken on every slice. Since there was almost no BBQ chicken on the pizza, there was only the faint taste of BBQ sauce. I don't know why the owner chose to build a pizza like this but it was wholly unacceptable, although the friends we were with love this pizza. We did buy their sourdough starter since I'm a big fan of sourdough pizza and sourdough breads and rolls in general--and my wife's a home baker. So that's a nice service for the restaurant and another way to make money. But we found the pizzas disappointing and, given the fact that there's no inside seating, we won't return.

We came from California for a wedding and made a special ferry trip here to try their pizza. It's a simple pizza shop and more pickup or delivery rather than sit down. We got the pepperoni, winning veggie Gorgonzola and two bags of starter to take home. The pizzas were delicious but especially loved the Gorgonzola one. Definitely a winner! Mind you, we were in Italy for three weeks the prior year eating the real thing but we still fully enjoyed this pizza! I am a sourdough starter newbie and didn't know anything about starters. I placed the starters in the fridge overnight till we left for our plane trip home. I placed the starters in ice packs and into my luggage and they kept cool till I placed them in the fridge at home. I read and watched hours and hours of articles and videos on feeding and baking with the starter. I have fed them a couple of times and this 120 year old starter is crazy mature and alive! I made sourdough waffles and pizza at home and they came out delicious! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing starter!!!

Meh. Tastes like your basic pizza. Dough is pretty good but not enough sauce and just not balanced. The few times I've ordered I've been so mad because it is owned by the same person who owns the amazing, phenomenal, mouthwatering, can't go wrong Sourdough Willy's in Kingston and for some reason Bainbridge got the red headed step child.

Internet was down. Nobody answered phone. Took my money, no pizza. Can't make a custom pizza, only subtract items off pizza. Must have retired and sold the business. Buy pizza elsewhere!

Order a pizza -- their toasttab processor says 1 hour. Fine. 2 hours later and there's no pizza, no communication. Unfortunately, this is typical for this place. How does one actually plan for a meal, party, gathering, etc. when the order/delivery times appear to be total fantasy? No pizza is worth waiting 2 hours for, much less on a lie of deliver time and that the product is VERY BASIC, UNREMARKABLE PIZZA. #lies I must ask this business to deflate your self worth... The Caputo Cup from a buncha years ago means nothing, (to anyone, ever to be honest... No one cares/knows about a Caputo cup or anything of the sort.. People want basic pizza and super fast). Deliver value and promises TODAY.

We were at the Fletcher Winery and saw the sign so walked over. Ordered a medium pizza to enjoy with our wine. It would be good if they put prices on the menu board. The pizza was very good especially with the sourdough crust. We definitely enjoyed. That's A Some Pizza should team up!

Waited an hour for our pizza, driver forgot half of our order and our food was cold. We ordered gorgonzola sauce to go with our pizza as well as our drinks & said it would be another 30 minutes for sauce & drinks to be delivered bc it was forgotten. VERYYYY disappointing that's a some! :( tried to call to let them know & they said to call tomorrow when management shows up??

We ordered take out and the food was ready in 15 mins. The pizza is huge and super delicious! Their sourdough base is incredible and I highly recommend! We will try again for sure

The locally sourced mussels and clams appetizer were delicious. The sourdough pan pizza from the inside restaurant was hot, crisp and so light. We loved it. The lead, Mia dropped in on our party to make sure everything was going great. We had a special surprise on this visit. We got to meet Will Grant the owner and world renowned Pizzaioli. All this while looking out the window at Mt. Rainier.

Pros: better than west side pizza (not great pizza but better than some others) Cons: no pricing on menu board. You'll have absolutely no idea of the cost until they ring your finished order up. Ridiculous. They do not take cash or American Express. You must have your physical credit card. The "medium" pizza is small. Really small. They do not sell by the slice. The pizza is good enough, there just doesn't seem to be any business savvy management.

Pizza was alright, but overpriced for quality and taste. Had to take it across the parking lot to eat at the brewery, which was better than sitting in the sun in front of the restaurant. Also, one of the weird places that doesn't accept cash, apparently because of COVID (in July 2023 no less). But that just makes the prices higher for the customer, so I'll eat elsewhere.

Super terrible customer service. The girl at the front eating food, not friendly, asked what I wanted, I said I needed a moment she went to the back. When she came back a moment later, I asked how much the large pesto chicken pizza was, she went to the back and got a boy who told me the price. I saw a similar pizza, above it one the menu called the Dirty Cricket had a mix of pesto and red sauce. I asked if they could do that on the pesto chicken he said no, they couldn't. He said they couldn't add anything to the pizza they could only remove things and that if I wanted that, I'd have to order it a different way by adding it from scratch, saying that it would be "significantly more expensive"... This seemed so strange to me, the unwillingness to simply mix the two sauces. It's not like I wanted to substitute anything like chicken for pepperoni or something. I completely get the concept of no substitutions on specialty pizzas. I was in the food industry for over ten years. The vibe felt like they couldn't care less if I ordered food from there or not I said I'll pass and the young man did a single nod and they both went to the back. I'm really disappointed. I had my six month old baby with me as I had just gotten her out of the car, into the stroller and was now doing that in reverse order, but with no pizza. This probably sounds silly, but being postpartum and hungry it's a sad deal. I was really looking forward to eating here. I have physical therapy across the parking lot once a week and thought I could start a fun tradition of stopping by here on my way home. Will not be back.

We are pizza snobs..for sure. But this was really good pizza. The cook on the bottom was hit or miss so some gel line. BUT the crust and sauce was excellent. They didn't over top with too many toppings!!! Yay!! We got an extra order of sourdough bread sticks to take on our journey. We are from Ohio and we are in the business and we will tell folks to hit this up if they are out this way! GREAT find!!

The flavors on the pepperoni onion and the gorgonzola vegetarian are phenomenal. Surprisingly I like the Gorgonzola better than the pepperoni. That was a first! But the dough was a little bit disappointing. Coming from New York Pizza where it is more crispy I was expecting a little bit more. But it was delicious and definitely hit the spot. You can take it to the Fletcher Bay Winery and eat around the fire pit. got two medium pizzas and that was definitely more than enough for two people. It was wonderful!

If I had to describe their pizzas in a word, it'd be "hearty." It's been my family's go-to on the island for pretty much as long as we've been here, so there's definitely something to be said for that. It doesn't really seem like "gourmet" pizza to me, even with their fancier topping combos. I like their sausage pizza though, and the veggie feels pretty robust as well. You can buy by the slice ($3?) if you visit their location in person, so if you're on the island with a car and you like pizza, it's worth a try.

I got a slice of the Veggie pie. The dough was very dry and bready. It was physically different to separate with my teeth. The cheese played almost no factor in the flavor profile. The choice of veggies was haphazard and likewise inadvisable. Their sundried tomatoes gave an overpowering sweet bitterness that has no place on pizza. Nothing about this slice was good. Though with a dearth of options near the ferry, I can understand why you'd be relegated to their inferior product.

Probably the best dough I've ever had and one of the few places on the island nice enough to let you pick your own toppings. That's right, most places think they know better than you what you should eat on your pizza. Far superior pizza dough and once you've tried it nothing else comes even close.

Grabbed a slice of cheese pizza as I was walking down the street. The tomato sauce was fantastic, very rich and flavorful. The cheese was ok and the crust was really dry. It was thin and had some chew to it; clearly there was potential; maybe I just got an off slice. It might have been ok with a marinara dipping sauce but as it there was definitely more needed there. It's an expensive place and definitely more a tourist trap than anything else. I'd probably give it another shot some day but definitely not something I'd wait an hour for.

That's A Some Pizza, is an award winning pizzeria, located in the cute downtown area of Winslow on Bainbridge Island. We started our quest for delicious pizza by boarding the Wenatchee at the Seattle Coleman ferry terminal. The ferry ride was a pleasant 35-minute journey on the Puget Sound. As we came on shore to Bainbridge Island, golden beaches and waterfront houses welcomed us. That's A Some Pizza is a short 10 minute walk from the Bainbridge Island (BI) ferry terminal. Downtown BI is lined with diners, wine tasting, bakeries and boutiques. The pizzeria won two awards at the 2017 national pizza competition. They won first place in the non-traditional pizza - a white sauce based gorgonzola cheese, mushrooms, feta cheese, red onions, and pine nuts. Second place was for traditional pizza - pepperoni and onions. What makes their pizza unique is the sourdough crust that is formed from a 100+ old "starter." The dough has a slight sour taste that adds a little "special" to each bite. There is very limited indoor and outdoor seating. There is a variety of pre-cooked slices but for anything custom or award winning, you need to place an order. It is recommended to call ahead and place your order; approximately 20 minute wait. A small size is the perfect portion for an individual. Was it worth the trip? Is it really special pizza? The answer from me and my family is an astounding YES! We can't wait to go back to BI and I've already recommended this place to several.

We were at Bainbridge Brewing during an off time between lunch and dinner. When one hopes to have a couple beers, one might need more sustenance than a couple of peanuts! Luckily, That's a Some Pizza (great name!) was nearby, so we placed and order online and promptly picked it up. It was your general pizza place fare, but the tastes were on point all around and the ingredients seemed fresh. The perfect complement to a beer stop!

Was a fan of their pizza when located on Winslow Way. Pizza last night was under baked, and doughy. There was way too much dough for toppings as dough margins were thick, wide and underdone. Not a hint of brown anywhere. I could tell a "ton" of pizzas were going out, so maybe the baking time was cut back. Last time!

That's a Some Pizza offers a delicious gluten free pizza and a variety of vegetarian options. We shared a Gourmet vegetarian with a friend who is NOT vegetarian nor gluten free and he enjoyed it. Wish TASP would return to Winslow, I'm sure visitors would enjoy slices of pie vegetarian and gluten free too

I come to Bainbridge Island quite a bit to visit family. Everyone knows I am a pizza enthusiast and That's A Some Pizza was recommended to me. I went on a moderately busy night excited to try the place. Normally my reviews would now cover the food and service. But, I will veer away from that now. On my way out, I noticed an older gentleman berating (quite loudly) two young women who appeared to be hostesses and or carry out coordinators. The berating went on for quite some time. I must admit I stood in place and listened. It was shockingly inappropriate and I felt badly for the young women. Their body language showed extreme mortification. Before leaving, I inquired who was the angry gentleman yelling. I was told his name was Will and that he was the owner. No pizza is good enough to support a small business owner who not only personally attacks his employees, but also fosters an environment that makes guests feel awkward and embarrassed. I won't be returning.

Was great. Since Coppertop, extremely hit or miss. After more misses than hits lately, switching out. Will monitor for updates, since it truly was great. Lots of people talking about it. Here are a couple of pics from our latest fiasco, and this isn't even the worst. UPDATE: they've gotten their act back together. Back to 6 stars.

Almost TWO hours for a single pizza delivery (on a Thursday night??) Also just way too expensive. 25$ for a "large" which is really a medium in my humble opinion. Makes me wonder how much they pay their employees in comparison. Really stretching the dough out with this one! Edit: This is a legitimate review. Seems to be a common theme that the manager is ready to shoot down and accuse anyone who doesn't share the same views on his restaurant.. Just because I think your pizza place is crappy and the service at another one is better doesn't mean I have a conflict of interest. No one sponsored this review at all.

Made the trip just to try out this pizza place due to the legend of the pizza crust and starter. We found it to be nothing special with flavor. Overpriced compared to other pizzerias that have similar flavor profiles. Good, not great and doesn't warrant a day trip. Next trip to Bainbridge won't be for a foodie experience.

Very disappointed. Born and raised on the island and have had a free pizza coupon for a number of years. We called in and placed an order, explaining the situation of the old coupon. They agreed to accept it. After driving out to pick up they chose to decline the coupon. What a waste of a pizza and time. Will not be coming here again. Poor customer service, i expected better from a local company.

We ordered pizza and they said it would be a 60 minute wait. We called at 1 hour and 20 minutes. Asked to speak with a manager who never called back. We waited 20 more minutes and ended up cancelling our order. We ended up waiting 1 hour and 40 minutes for pizza that never came. (Btw, when we first called our order haven't left the place yet.) This has happened multiple times before and they said it was because they were short staffed. That was over 6 months ago and they said the same thing tonight. Same applies for making an order to pickup. It's never been ready when they said it would be. They might have great pizza but it's not worth the wait or hassle.

Long time customer who loved the app that saved my last order for quick entry. Prize winning crust. Moved to new location. Stopped offering thin crust. Stopped offering half / half pizzas. Tonight repeated last order. Email confirmation stated delivery about 75 minutes. Received lukewarm pizza after more than 90 minutes. Location is less than 10 minutes away. Lukewarm is not acceptable. Very disappointed.

This is your best basic pizza on the island. If you're expecting that beer and pizza combination this is the place to go.

You can't order ahead on weekends and they tell you to order online but then the prices are 10% higher if you do. WTF - $20 for a medium pizza that I have to let sit on the counter for a hour and get cold because Im not allowed to specify a pick up time???? Good job guys!! Your pizza is good but not that good. I'll go somewhere else

Best pizza I've found on this side of the water! The dough is perfectly chewy and crunchy, and super flavorful from a 120 yo sourdough starter! We got a diy veg with red onions, green peppers, black olives, mushrooms on half, feta, pizza cheese, and fresh tomato. The vegetables were high quality and very fresh. The feta was incredible, honestly this was an amazing combination. The tomatoes were crisp and delicious, I hate cooked tomatoes so I'm happy they had this option. We also got the cheesy bread, very good crust covered in yummy cheese and spices. Loved their crust so this was great. Marinara was yummy, too. We did order online for delivery and it took over an hour but it was well worth it in my opinion. It wasn't steaming when it arrived but was definitely hot enough. It also made excellent leftovers even eaten cold haha! Definitely will order again.

Ordered a large Pesto Spinach pizza and a Make your own pizza with green pepper, mushrooms, and sausage. Awesome taste with fresh ingredients. We were not disappointed!

Ok~ so I'm from back East and good pizza out here is really hard to find. I hesitated trying this place because of the iffy reviews, but decided to give it a go last week. The website claims to have some great crust, etc... Long story short, the pizza was okay. I wasn't dazzled by the crust but It was probably one of the better pies I've had on the left coast. I probably would be a repeat customer if the service wasn't so terrible. My, and everyone else in line, order ran forty minutes later than the time I was told to pick up. A guy in line behind me was over an hour and a half. DO NOT USE THEIR ONLINE SYSTEM... Really. Don't use it. I don't know who this owner/manager is, but food service managers should try to make their customers happy. We do that by being honest about why things are late, and we apologize for why it is late. If people are standing around for long periods of time because YOUR system said to come and get it~ management should probably throw the customers a bone to keep them happy. Apps? Drinks? Coupons? I'm going to stick my neck out here and say if your order is running really really late, they should get it for free. But, I don't run a pizzeria. :)

Food is tasty, but their delivery and customer service is garbage. Placed an order at 5pm. Delivery was more than 40 minutes late. When I called to check on it, the guy offered nothing. No apologies, just "it's on its way." ‍

This place should be shuddered. Possibly the worst pizza place I have ever eaten at. Every time I have ordered pizza they splotch toppings on the pizza, or often will throw the equivalent of two sliced black olives on the pizza they charge $3 for a half. Sadly, they are only one of two on the island. (That may change soon!). They used to be good when they were on Winslow, but took a hard slide when the decided to be a factory pizza joint churning out marginal pizza combined with bad service. The dough is terrible. No clue who they paid for their alleged awards.

Wow! Simply great! Hoenstly as European I was never really satisfied with most American Pizza Places, but That´s A Some Pizza has shown me a completely different picture!!!! L-O-V-E it - perfect tomato souce, great sour doe, spicy salami - yummie as a pizza can be. Will come back again... Price is ok, service is great and not too far from the Washington State Ferry Pier.

this place is decent for a small town spot. the counter staff are friendly. the space itself is awful, like a waiting room in hell. you'd never want to spend more than a few minutes in there. the food is good when its good, but mostly mediocre. that's probably because management hires teens to run the place and doesn't care to properly train them. consistency of quality is all over the map. and if you order online it's like gambling to see if your pizza will be ready within 30+ minutes of their estimated time. don't even start with how insanely overpriced this place is. they do lots of business, probably because they can squeeze their mostly wealthy clientele who don't have many other options. overall this joint represents the sad state of retail food in our cursed time

There are so many wonderful places to get pizza on Bainbridge Island... unfortunately this place isn't one of them :( I can remember grabbing my first slice 6 years ago when I first moved out here and it was outstanding! As the years have progressed, the pizza and customer service has steadily declined. Ordered a chicken Cesar salad.. received a salad without any chicken, barely any lettuce.. mostly croutons. Waited over 1.5 hours for my pizza to be delivered..pizza was cold and the crust was hard as a rock! Thankfully, the person who answered the phone gave us our money back for the salad and the pizza. We will not be ordering again.

There's a reason the pizza almost always takes over an hour, and then is overcooked or has the wrong toppings. I have witnessed the owner berating the staff on more than one occasion. On such a small island, it would be great for a local business to be an outlet for high school kids to work and learn about business. Unfortunately, here they are only learning how not to run a business, and how to abuse and take advantage of your employees. I will not be back until ownership changes. There's too many good pizza places on the island that are actually deserving of our community's support.
