I first started going to 4 Corners Pub about a year ago. I enjoyed the food and appreciated the service from the waiters and waitresses, most of whom are college-aged and polite. I have had no issues with the waitstaff, and their service has consistently been fantastic. As younger people, they seem to understand how to adapt to both the older population and the occasional younger crowd that shows up when they have nowhere else to go. However, the owners and bartenders, including Spencer and the woman who wears a mask, have been extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. About six months ago, I visited the pub on an early afternoon and had a $20 meal. Unfortunately, I could not pay my tab because my card was frozen, and I needed to reactivate it. I asked if I could come back the next day to pay, along with the tip, and was told that would be fine. The next day, I returned as promised to pay my tab. After paying, I asked if I could order food for that day since it was lunchtime. Suddenly, the woman working became very grumpy and nasty. She then asked me to leave, claiming it was because I hadn't paid the previous day. I was confused because I had returned as agreed and paid the day after my initial visit. She said something about not "playing games" and told me never to return. I tried to explain that I had paid, but she insisted that I hadn't. I left begrudgingly and ended up speaking to a manager, who told me I could come back at night when the woman wasn't on shift. For the next six months, I returned at night at least five times with no issues, enjoying my time with friends. Fast forward to a few days ago, when my girlfriend and I needed something to eat and decided to go to 4 Corners Pub. I had little recollection of the incident that occurred six months ago and, since I had visited multiple times without issue, assumed everything was fine. When we arrived, we were told there would be a short wait due to a lack of staff. We sat outside and patiently waited in the cold. The manager, Spencer, came outside and started talking to us. I mentioned that I had previously applied for a job there, again not recalling the earlier incident. Spencer asked me to wait, and during our initial conversation, he was all smiles and polite. However, when Spencer came back, he started asking me and my girlfriend about the woman and the incident that had occurred months ago, saying he had reviewed the security cameras. I explained that there had been a disagreement between me and the woman, but he seemed determined to discuss it further. In front of other customers, he loudly proclaimed that they would never hire me. He then returned and asked me and my girlfriend to leave immediately, citing something that had happened months ago, which I felt was a relatively minor issue. He watched us walk off the property smiling as if him losing what would have probably been a $100 tab that night as a good thing. I just want to say that this incident upset me and my girlfriend considerably because we absolutely hate drama and were surprised at how this place has such little class. I understand that it's a fairly old pub with the usual regulars and not an incredibly exciting crowd but I enjoyed going here because it was convenient for me on my way home from work. Food is okay but with how the bartenders act supposedly with their 30 year experience I can't say I would recommend this place. Me and my girlfriend are incredibly polite people and avoid issues at all costs. The manager Spencer had an extremely callous attitude and doesn't care about losing money.
