The 649

This little gem is one of my favorite spots, and such an awesome spot in Hillsboro/beaverton area. The cocktails are great, my favorite is love spell, the bartenders have a very relaxed and friendly vibe and always have a great recommendation. The food is incredible, there hasn’t been a single thing I’ve tried I didn’t like. I love that there is outdoor seating. Every opportunity I get to bring someone who’s never been here I do!

This is a hidden gem that has a great selection of drinks on tap including CBD soda! The staff is super sweet and the sandwich presses are so good! There might be a wait around dinner time, be it’s worth it!

This place unsuspectingly has some pretty good food and cocktails. They have about 6 signature cocktails, my favorite is love spell. They also have a wide variety of gastro pub food choices. The prices aren't bad for the portion sizes. The staff is friendly and nice. All around a great hang out spot. Also they do trivia on Thursdays which is fun.

Great selection of beers and very nicely created cocktails. The food looks great and tastes great. What else are you looking for? The service is at the counter but very friendly. It's a cozy place to come hang out with friends or on a date.

My handsome husband and I absolutely ADORE this new find for us. I’ve lived in Aloha 20+ years and this place is exactly what I want in a neighborhood hangout, but have never seen until tonight. First thing in the door we were greeted, welcomed, told about the menu and invited to sit wherever we liked! Talk about feeling welcomed and immediate hospitality! The atmosphere was also fantastic—subdued and relaxing with agreeable lighting. But the cocktails were ABSOLUTELY EPIC! We had our socks knocked off by the flavor and variety of the cocktails, and then the presentation was just so incredibly appealing to boot! Fresh herbs (rosemary) in one drink, dried herbs (lavender) in another made the drinks delicious AND visually stunning to behold. Prices were very reasonable, so we will be coming back again and again to sample absolutely everything! 10/10 and we’ll be singing the praises of The 649 to absolutely everybody we know!

The Tepache Milk Punch was one of the best cocktails I've ever had, and about half of the menu sounded just as good. Excited to come back and try some more options. Mac and cheese was also excellent.

A hidden gem! We've passed by this place a lot and finally stopped by. We'll definitely be back! The charcuterie board was stellar! Excellent cheese choices and great portions. The Cubano panini was delicious and full of flavor. Our drinks were beautiful and refreshing. Not a long wait and love that the patio is dog-friendly. Parking is decent with the full shopping center lot.

By far our favorite bar. Epic cocktails that change seasonally and a great rotating tap selection. The people are all super cool. The nachos and guacamole are on point and the specials are always good. Games and books available.

This I'd say, is a fantastic little hang out! Here's the 411 on The 649: * Parking Situation * Although the location of The 649 is just "where the F" (eye-roller). Because it's somewhat hidden in the corner of a Safeway shopping plaza. Look for the Baskin Robbins or Wells Fargo ATM and your find it. Like other reviews, when busy, parking can be a bit horrendous. But in hindsight, I'm not gonna reduce a star just because of location. * Bar Food Menu & Dining * Their menu starts with shareable bites, like a pretzel, tacos, quesadilla, loaded nachos, and even a charcuterie plate. Slightly larger dishes would be their Cubano and Brisket Press sandwiches. They even have a few choices for soup and salads, and a couple of dessert items listed. Don't forget to check the chalkboard next to the bar for specialty dishes and drinks. As for dining-in, they've got sturdy wooden tables that can accommodate 4-8 people. Bar stools by the windows, and a fairly large outside patio area. And with the times I've been here, I've never seen a dirty table. Very well maintained (two thumbs up). A few TV monitors showing the game, but its not like a noisy sportsbar. * Drinks & Services* You've got your choice of craft beers that rotate like a standard tap room. They also have tasty seasonal cocktails, but their normal everyday cocktails are just as good. And if you're gonna have a charcuterie board, then you've got to offer a wine list option right? Well they got that too! One last thing to mention, they've got some top-shelf bourbon and whiskey. The 649 is a bar that offers it all! Service has also been welcoming and top-notch. I recall only been served by Rich, Steven, and Crystal, but they always seem to craft up some lovely cocktails. Or deliver some clean tasting everyday type of bar food as well. * Last Call * Normally in my reviews, I'd list every item that I've tried, with price included. But The 649 is such a unique type of bar experience that I feel you should try for yourself; To me, their offerings are reasonably priced. Dining in is nothing fancy, but service is excellent. It's a great hangout for a business date, of even after a first date. I've got nothing but love for local support!

Wonderful craft cocktails and great menu! They have all kinds of board games that you can play as well. Stopped in after a hard day of junking and was so glad we did!

This is a super cute hidden gem. Great place to bring friends to sit on the patio. Food is amazing. Service is excellent. The staff are super friendly and inviting. This place even has game nights during the week. The Hawaiian Mac salad and the quesadillas are some of our favorites on the menu.

Great venue for large groups. We had 2 teams plus parents in town for a soccer tournament and decided to try this well reviewed place. The 649 had a cute outdoor patio area and lots of room inside to accommodate us. The staff did well for a surprise crowd midday on a Friday with orders taken at the bar and delivered to our tables. The staff was very friendly and super efficient. They did not miss a beat despite our numbers! The food was well prepared bar food with a modern twist: birria tacos, fresh soup, hand crafted sandwiches, mac cheese, salads, and rice bowls with protein and many other enticing options. I had the southwestern split bean soup which was delicious with fresh greens. We also had the birria tacos and the rice bowl with fresh and pickled veggies topped with seasoned MOJO chicken. Great selection of beer and hand crafted cocktail options as well as slushies and flavored lemonades. Perfect lunch spot as well as a light dinner venue. The wall of available board games was impressive - obviously making it a great venue for lazy lunches or dinner fun with friends!

Such a fun and cozy spot! Loved the mix of books, board games, and the cute indoor-outdoor setup. It has this vintage-but-funky vibe that makes you want to hang out for hours. Drinks were great, food was the good kind of bad (you know what I mean), and my friend and I had a genuinely good time. Will definitely be back!

This place is a hidden gem. Can be real crowded, which is a testament to the business. One of the best old fashioned I have had in a while. Great birria taco, the honey from the charcuterie is amazing, delicious Mac n chz.

This is my favorite bar in Beaverton! I go here with my sister regularly and always get the love spell cocktail- best drink I've had there. They have books, games, and trivia sometimes. It's a great place to go by myself when I want to relax. The slushies are amazing, but truly nothing beats the alcoholic ice cream. I don't know how they make it so smooth and tasty!

It looks like a typical tap room bar, but they have hidden qualities of excellence that set they apart and ahead. Wonderful bartenders mixed us some very tasty Mai Tai's. We had nachos with piled high happy roasted pork. It wasn't cheap but well worth the price.

The 649 was great! We stopped in for a quick weekend cocktail and snacks and we will definitely be back! We got the French Empress cocktail and two pours of whiskey (EHT BP 11 and Stagg 24C) and for food we tried the nachos and our favorite part was the cheesecake flight! We'd never seen anyone do that before. The service was great and you could tell everyone in there were regulars that can't stop coming back! The inside was spacious and the outdoor seating was great for people and dogs.

Good vibes, plenty of parking, indoor/outdoor seating & open late!! Happy hour on weekdays until 4:30pm :-) A big pro is that they have alcoholic slushies (mocha, fruit flavored etc) AND boozy soft serve (we got the spiced apple.. yum!)! Food and small bites that all were really good (we got chicken nachos & grilled cheese). Also, they have a large collection of games and books to use while hanging out.

Super chill atmosphere with nice bartenders. Food was great and drinks were delicious. Just a nice place to hang out with friends. Nothing really more can be said. Oh also check out daily menu items.

Cool place overall. The place has very nice cocktails and quite a decent collection. Beyond that they have beer and wine too. Their food is decent too. A nice place to hang out with friends since they have board games too that one can borrow and play. The place is open late on the weekends which is a bonus.

Mixed emotions for the first try here. Heard about it through a friend, looked it up and was really excited. They matched me and my husbands expectations at the start, but quickly went downhill after we got our second round and appetizer. The line was to the door, and out. I understand it's a Friday afternoon, but there should have been more staff behind the bar taking orders. We were starving, and the line wasn't moving. After a half hour we finally went around everyone and approached a bartender making drinks asking if we could cash out or if we had to wait in the long line to do so. Luckily he said he would cash us out real quick, but if not, we were willing to just leave and let them put whatever tip they wanted since we had our physical card. Drinks and the app we had were INCREDIBLE, but sooo disappointed in the wait time and service. Definitely won't be back anytime Friday-Sunday which is a real bummer. We ended up eating somewhere else.

Friendly staff! Stopped in at 7:00 PM on. Wednesday. We needed something to eat - it was too late for us to want a full dinner, but The 649 has a great menu for a tap house. Check out the Bites and Appetizers menus if you want something "lite" (they're huge!). You won't regret ordering the Hummus Plate and Street Tacos; great with a cold beer or cider! We'll stop in next time we pass through town.

The bread pudding was phenomenal. My fiancée and I enjoyed the brisket with a wonderful pretzel and fondue, and cocktails for lunch and couldn't have been happier. We will be going back to try some of the other options but had to rave. Yes. Well done, y'all. Take my money.

Nice casual bar with delicious drinks. They have beers and ciders on tap as well as cocktails. Good selection of food. You order at the bar. The bartenders/ servers are friendly and welcoming as soon as you enter in. Would definitely come hangout here again.

Great food selection! This place is awesome and I'm glad we came in to try it again. It's been 4 years since we stepped in here and we can now call it our favorite local spot. Seriously so close to home it's probably dangerous. The darkness flight was tasty and here until Christmas Eve. Great ambiance and super friendly service. 4 tvs if you feel like watching sports. Warm friendly vibe. Tasty cocktails, wine and beer.

The servers were exceptional per usual. Asked if we were there for trivia night. Advised we didn't know about trivia night and might check it out. Got a few different drinks. The ambiance was nice, everybody was getting ready for trivia. The line grew pretty long within an hour. Love the cozy little neighborhood bar. Best selection I've seen hands down and a variety of options.

Great combination of local beers on tap, fresh cocktails and yummy pub food. Friendly bar top to order and ten a room of picnic tables or outdoor patio for family or friend groups. Early evening had plenty of moms with toddlers and families with preteens and then the crowd became a balance of adults. Great multi generational spot I'd be happy to bring anyone to. Girls night out. Yes. Family yes. Small group. Yes. We enjoyed hummus platter stocked with fresh veggies and a fondue with bread and sausage to dip. Fabulous local spot and no longer a secret!

We like the outdoor pet friendly seating. Always plenty of picnic tables to choose from. Nice shade trees. Only downside is the motorcycle noise from Farmington but that's not their fault. The service is always great with long time dedicated employees. My freshly squeezed greyhound was perfect on this hot day. We love the arugula and apple salad. The brisket sandwich and macaroni salad perfect and huge sandwich. We will continue to head to The 649 for great food, drinks and pet friendly dining.

YUP - this place is IT. I usually hate taprooms (not a beer fan) and think for the most part they are very similar to each other. Not this place! The food is actually good, I would come here just to eat. They also make other cocktails and such so, the selection is wide. The soup was so good and the nachos were 10/10 - I'm from Southern Arizona so I can legally declare that. Will definitely be visiting again. The girl behind the bar was also super great at her job and was super sweet. Don't think twice, just go!

Wonderful local establishment. I appreciate not only their delicious drinks, great bites and offerings for food, total ambiance, AND not the least the communities they support! Definitely worth a stop (or many)!

Very Good food in kind of a pub style atmosphere. No wine list and only 4-5 offerings by the glass. Go there for the beer. The service model is to line up in a slow line, then order and pay at the bar. Then they bring the food to the table. This is no more efficient than somebody waiting tables with a second employee behind the bar. Don't go expecting table service. Trivia with an exceptionally nerdy crowd popular on Tuesdays. It's definitely a neighborhood asset and probably worth a drive, maybe on the way to or from a nearby destination.

Not only is the staff on point with their attentiveness and service. The food and atmosphere will amaze you. Just think of family recipes and the flavors keeps you trying to place all of it. It's definitely a foodie spot where you will be impressed.

My first time here was absolutely amazing because of Crystal. Each drink Crystal made was not only delicious but the perfect balance between strength and sweet! She even took the time to chat with us and truly get to know us. When we expressed to her that some people had gestured toward us and made us feel unsafe outside, she let us come in while she was closing up and made sure we were safe until our Uber got there. Aside from that, the game selection is great, music on point and the all around ambiance was 10/10. Will be coming back :).

This is the best food I've ever had. The food is delicious. It does come really fast and it's just so good. And it's really cozy in here and it has games you can play at your table.

This is such a great place for friends hang out, girls night out, or date night! What a hidden gem next to Baskin Robins and Safeway off of Farmington! It was our first time here so we were a little lost when we first got there. It's seat yourself style and there are plenty of picnic table style seating, high tops, and regular tables on the sides. There were food menus at the bar and that's where you order and pay. The drinks: so many great options to choose from. I would definitely recommend doing the flight (comes with 5 choices) so you can get to taste as many of their diverse selection of beer, ciders, and slushies. Those slushies are so yummy it's dangerous! Bonus they are so pretty too! You can really tell the staff put a lot of thought and effort into their presentation for sure. The food: I saw another review to get the pork nachos and I just want to say THANK YOU and YES GET THE PORK NACHOS! The hummus plate had a generous amount of hummus with pita and veggies. And you really can't go wrong with pretzel with cheese fondue. It did get busy and louder on a Thursday night and I can only imagine how crowded it would be on the weekends. Come early and hang out (even saw some board games too - not sure if there were some there or people brought them in) In any case, you'll have a good time here!

Update! The food is awesome. This spot wasn't my favorite for snacks and it's a bar that is way into politics... But they have REALLY elevated the food... the menu, prep, presentation, portions, quality and taste... all top notch. Well executed with very little staff. The drinks are always on point and they have fun offerings nobody else has... like boozy soft serve. They are still a place that tries to make politics a big focus of the experience... which is lame... super exclusive. I happen to agree with all the owner's beliefs... but the attempts to discourage "centrists" and "conservatives" from enjoying themselves there... feels divisive and slightly combative. Just be neighbors not gatekeepers. I get it... Americans all want to divide up and only hang out with folks that agree with everything ... but that doesn't necessarily make for the best bar. Anyway... great place.

Really friendly service and an excellent whiskey selection. Cocktail list is solid and a good bartender. Food is tasty - we got the nachos with pulled pork, really good. Fun place and I highly recommend the spot!

A new favorite! The 649 is located on the northwest corner of Farmington and 185. It first opened in 2015. Although I've lived in this area longer than that, I've just recently discovered this awesome place! The 649 serves craft beers, cocktails and yummy bar food in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. IMHO, they make the best tasting Bloody Mary in the area. Trust me, I've tried many. Every food item I've ordered has been fresh and flavorful. As a vegetarian, I really appreciate that their menu offers the choice to enjoy most items with either beans, sweet potatoes or various meats if you're not vegetarian. There is a variety of seating options and a terrific outdoor patio. There are assorted games to play and a huge bookshelf with all kinds of books to read. The music has always been great. There is plenty of parking available and bus 52 stops nearby. I always enjoy visiting the 649 and highly recommend it!

Had the charcuterie board, which was AMAZING! Much better than average - delicious bread, fresh fruit, pickles & olives, and the meat & cheese were abundant and well-matched. Everything was better than we had hoped, and cocktails were fantastic as well. Highly recommend!!

It's a nice place to get some drinks and enjoy some sports on TV. The place has an open feel to it. They also have some outdoor seating. You place your drink/food order at the counter and then find a table to sit at. We enjoyed some drinks as well as snacks. The nachos, mac n cheese, pretzel, and grilled cheese sandwich were some good snacks to try out. They also have a good selection of whiskey and bourbon.

The food is phenomenal the staff is friendly and professional me and my wife eat there allot they great us on the way in and the way out so if your looking for a cool atmosphere great service and great food this is the spot to visit with out a doubt we love them.

I am so happy I found this place! It is the perfect spot for a low key happy hour with some friends. They is seating outside and have great shareable foods. I ordered the chicken nachos and had the strawberry guava margarita and the rum slushy. The drinks were so refreshing on a hot summer day! Will definitely come back!

The first time I came here was on a little date night with my husband. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had frozen cocktails (they didn't disappoint). We each had a couple drinks and shared a few appetizers for dinner and it was all delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. I have been back since and it was still just as good.

How did it take me sooooo long to find such a gem of a place!?! Their cocktails are unique and amazing. Something for everyone! Beef on tap. They have alcohol icecream or sorbet!!!! I mean that's all you need to know!! Prices are affordable. Places is cute. Drinks are cute! Just go and it will be one of your favorite places

I'm trying really hard to give this place more chances, but why wouldn't you change your specials board if you ran out of the special yesterday? That makes no sense.

Love their slushies! I got a flight of slushies, sorbet and cider. The mangonada was my favorite. The hibiscus sorbet texture was so soft and smooth, but it was too spiced for my taste. I'll definitely try other sorbets though.

My husband and I came in on a Saturday afternoon, around 2pm. At first we were a little thrown off because we weren't expecting minors allowed, but that was on us. The vibe is great, we had a Bloody Mary, and the stout that was on tap. Everything was tasty and quick, including the charcuterie plate we shared. We were able to sit outside and play chess and relax.

Happy to report that 649 is very welcoming of well behaved kids. We have been taking our little ones there for years with no issue.

Very cute place! I enjoyed playing games with my partner while we were here. I just wish they had a better selection of games to play. As for the food, the Caesar was incredible! The dressing was really creamy & the croutons were baked to a perfect crunch. The pepperoni pizza dip was really tasty & definitely something I recommend trying. The "soft" pretzel was one of the worst pretzels I've ever had. It tasted like plastic & was nearly impossible to eat because of how hard it was. I would compare it to a dog toy. The first time we came to this place, it was about an hour before they closed & we figured the pretzel was this way because it was the end of the evening, so when we came back we decided to give it another try & nothing was improved. This is a huge disappointment since this is mine & my partners favorite snack.
