Where do I begin. I've been chasing good Portuguese steak my whole life (43 years). You find a good place, go there frequently for years and then it closes down and have to find another one. My view of a good Portuguese restaurant is based on their steak plate. But, not all Portuguese steaks are the same. For me, it needs to be pounded steak, with a great flavored sauce, fries, garlic, and hot peppers. After my last favorite place in Fall River closed down, I tried a few places over the past few years, and none were what I crave. I started to try places based on the pictures people shared of their steak plates and came across this place. OMG, it was exactly what I had been missing. The sauce was so flavorful. The steak was huge, tender, but still pounded like I like (I know there is a joke in there, but please focus on the food, lol). If you like thicker steak, they will do that as well. You can get fries and rice, or just fries like I like. My mom has always loved Shrimp Mozambique. She also has had a hard time finding that flavor that she loves. Either the sauce is bland or too lemony. She loves that rich garlic butter sauce, and once again, this place hits the spot. So if your taste buds are like mine, and you are looking for that authentic Portuguese steak plate with a flavorful sauce to dip your fries in, THIS IS YOUR PLACE. I will be a faithful patron for as long as they let me.
