Ring the bell and one of the self-styled butlers will come to open it; check-in is in an armchair by the fireplace in one of the four lounges; and your key is hidden in what looks like a book out of “Harry Potter,” but is actually a specially carved box, its ‘title’ the name of your room. In fact, the 24 rooms are named for quintessential English places or events (in the elevator, you’ll hit the first letter of your room’s name instead of a floor). They’re themed, too—in Queensgate, for example, a giant pop-art-style picture of Queen Elizabeth hangs by the fireplace. While the feel is textbook 19th-century London townhouse, the owners are Qatari—which means opulent amenities, thanks to a $1.2 million renovation completed in 2022. The bathrooms are clad in marble, the beds are modern four-posters, and suites have upper crust Bamford amenities, plus TVs over the baths (as well as top notch showers). This was my best ever hotel experience. I have traveled around the world and stayed in five star hotels all my life, but this is by far the best experience. The hotel was cozy. The room was clean and beautiful. The sheets were like you’re sleeping on a cloud, but above all the service was absolutely amazing. I want to give a special thanks to Angelica, who greeted me when I first came with a warm welcome and a big smile. The service and the hotel has been absolutely top-notch. The food is fresh and they are very specific about any order you ask for. This hotel gives you a boutique vibe and you get a great sense of comfort when you are there. I will definitely come back to this hotel every time I pass by London, not just for the material attributes, but it’s mainly because of this the great service from the staff.

The Adria is a beautiful hotel in an incredible location. It is steps away from the museums, restaurants and shops. Located on a quiet street in Kensington, there is no better option. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning and beautifully kept. Its decorations are contemporary yet it exudes a classicism that feels so welcoming. Above all, the staff is spectacular and their attention to detail is outstanding. We brought our two kids (ages 4 and 2) and couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations. This was our second time and we will be back again. The Adria has become a home away from home for us and we feel so lucky to have found it! Book the room, you won’t regret it!

My sister and I had a stay here for one night and the service and attention to detail that we received was exemplary. ||Nothing was too much trouble and every effort was made to ensure we received the best possible experience during our stay. ||Some specific highlights included a tea on arrival whilst we were checked in, which after a few hours travel was appreciated and a lovely touch. |The breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety of options. |The service and friendliness of the staff and their effort to please. |The amenities available in the room and the cleanliness of the hotel. ||In the evening I called for some drinks to be delivered to the room, they didn’t have our first requests available, so an alternative was given complimentary, which was a lovely touch. ||I have stayed In many hotels in and around London and will be staying at the Adria, wherever possible, in the future. ||Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

My husband and I celebrated our civil wedding ceremony by having Afternoon Tea at The Adria. It was truly wonderful. Dominik and the team were perfect hosts, and provided an excellent and attentive service. They are quick to reply to emails, happy to accommodate dietary requirements, and committed to ensuring all guests are happy. The food and teas offered were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for helping us to celebrate our wedding!

I booked afternoon tea here for the first time and I have to say it's one, if not the best afternoon tea I've had in London (and I used to be a pastry chef). My friend was picking out her wedding dress and I booked this in between our 2 appointments and it was the perfect treat for her special day. They offered a tea menu where there were small pots in which you could smell what each tea is like which I've never seen before. The sandwiches were all beautiful and fresh, and the cakes, scones and patisseries were simply faultless. We were offered prosecco to go with her special day and even after paying the bill, we were offered bottles of water for the rest of our day. Incredible service and I have recommended to many already. Keep up the fabulous work!

A lovely stay at The Adria. We have stayed in may London hotels and this is certainly up there as the best! The staff were all attentive and respectful- nothing too much trouble. The room is large compared to many other hotels we have stayed in. The decor is beautiful. Spotlessly clean and everything worked exactly how it should. Great location with the tube down the road but very quiet at night. I can see how this hotel would suit families, couples and a solo traveller. For the price you can certainly pay more in London but get a lot less. Breakfast was lovely. We will be thank so thank you!

This hotel is INCREDIBLE. Every member of the staff from cleaners, to front desk was a delight. Whoever is running this hotel is doing something right. This hotel and the staff made a special trip with my friends 10x better. Forever grateful to you all for the hospitality you showed my group. The hotel is stunning and had has a great vibe. ||I have stayed in many luxury hotels (both townhouse hotels like the Firmdale hotels and major brands) in London and the experience I had at The Adria South Kensington was unmatched. The location was great, the welcome and staff were utterly exceptional - I really felt nothing was too much trouble, staff were so warm and friendly but extremely polished and professional, such a good combination in hospitality industry and felt like a home away from home - would definitely stay there again. Salma was a great host for breakfast and check out |The only thing that was worth noting was noise of tube train rumbling on and off til the service finishes for the night - I wasn't bothered at all , find it strangely comforting but may bother some guests. ||The rooms are stylish calm and comfortable with lovely touches , like a fruit plate and chocolates. The hotel interior is elegant and luxurious. Ideally situation for Royal Albert Hall, Knightsbridge, Kensington , museums etc
