9 Great Places To Eat & Drink Around Richmond - London - The Infatuation

"Tucked away on a quiet corner of the bustling Richmond Quadrant, The Albert’s Deli is the perfect cross between neighbourhood deli and local café. Serving classic breakfast options as well as pretty excellent coffee, there’s also a homemade lunch counter with daily changing specials. All in, it’s a great spot to grab a hot drink and a bacon butty when you need to get away from the chaos of the high street." - puja bhattacharjee

A really lovely, cosy little corner of Richmond and the Turkish eggs were genuinely incredible. They did only give me a knife and fork to eat them with so I had to go back to ask for a spoon (since this dish is mostly yogurt!) but I would absolutely go back. Great food, lovely place, nice quiet, peaceful atmosphere

I’ve always enjoyed coming here, but I feel like things have changed a little recently. The atmosphere used to feel really warm and welcoming, and I miss that. Service seems a bit slower now, and the lasagne (which I used to love with the salad included) is now served on its own, though still at the same price. The staff are still polite, but it doesn’t feel quite as friendly as before. I hope some of the old charm comes back, because this has always been one of my favorite spots.

Very elegant, nice and quiet place for breakfast or lunch. Feeling warm and cozy sitting by the side of the window. It’s shame that the menu is not available today but still have variety food selection including toast, sandwiches, cake, tart or cookies etc. Latte smell really good and hot. The seller patiently explain to us what ingredients for the sandwich while my little one can’t eat spicy. It’s a 5 stars cafe!

We had our brunch there. A small cafe, full of fresh food. They have fewer vegetarian options. We had sandwiches, toasties, cookies, pasta salad, and a vegetarian breakfast all were very tasty. Potion size for vegetarian breakfast, cheese toasties, and hummus sandwich were good but in the Avocado toast, they had given only 1 sourdough toast, which I feel is less though the quantity of avocado was big. Their desserts were delicious too. We were disappointed with their coffees, which were not good. I had mocha but it didn't taste like it at all. They just need to work on their coffee as their food was very good. The staff was friendly, and the service was good.

Slow delivery of one decaf tea and a skinny latte extra hot (but it wasn’t!. Not freshly baked / slightly dry brownie. Pain au raisin fine. Shame as it’s a pretty place.

We love this place! Definitely a gorgeous hidden gem. Away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town centre, we are always warmly welcomed by the owner, Mark, breakfasts and coffee are delicious! We have never been disappointed and look forward to returning next weekend!

Lovely cafe, off the beaten track in Richmond. There isn't much seating, but it's very comfortable if you can sit. If you can't, great to get a takeaway away option too. We had the waffle breakfast and a full English - both delicious. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. The offering of cakes and treats at the till looked incredible, so we will definitely be back to try those.

A wonderful, cosy spot to enjoy breakfast/brunch and lunch, and even wine! Plus, they have a great selection of produce and shelf-stable goods to take home. The display case is full of delicious sausage rolls, quiches, soups and more. The granola is a good portion size and very well made. Also recommend the brie and bacon toastie!

Yelp
This is a small but charming deli that I have found to be one of my favorite places in Richmond. I ventured in one day with my three young boys, and though this isn't the best place to bring in children, the staff were VERY patient and accommodating. They gave me suggestions as to what the boys might like, since it was my first time going in, and they continued to come and ask if there was anything else I might need. With three children, I need all the help I can get, so I was won over many times. We ordered ham and cheese toasties and the soup of the day with a sausage roll. For a cold day, as it was, the whole thing was absolutely delicious. The sausage roll was my favorite. I had never tasted one so good. I wish I had ordered more of them, because I had to share it with my children. In the end, after I had paid the bill, which was very reasonable, we were given free chocolate chip cookies which was a wonderful surprise, and they were scrummy. I have been in to Albert's deli many times now for the sausage rolls and once, to introduce my husband to it. The time my husband and I dined in we had baked chicken in a red wine sauce over mash and sausage rolls. After we finished, again, we were met with a free sample of their chocolate brownie. My husband said it was one of the best brownies he'd ever had. So, believe me when I say you will love this place. Clean, delicious food, and kind staff.

Yelp
One of my favourite past times is wandering around my neighbourhood. And if it was not for my fondness of aimless wandering, I would not have found this delightful treat of a deli set in the Alberts in Richmond. The first time I stopped by The Alberts Deli, the place was closed as I believe it was in the evening on a weekend. They had a menu posted in the window, and after taking a look, I vowed to come back one weekend when they were open. A few weeks later I finally stopped back to give the deli a try. Unfortunately, at that time, they were not serving paninis on the weekends (and I am still not sure if they do), and since that is what my lunch companion and I fancied, we decided to try another place in Richmond. However, this did not stop me from having a look round at the groceries on offer. The Alberts Deli has a wide selection of Italian staples including the seemingly ever-elusive wide egg noodles, in addition to a small American section that was stocked with pumpkin purée (in case you have a craving for pumpkin pie!). I made note of these points in case I was interested in coming back for either ingredient. Fast forward a few months to my birthday. Since it was my special day, the middle of the week and I had the day off, I was keen to give The Alberts Deli a try for lunch. I was not at all disappointed with this decision. For lunch, I ordered the 1/2 panini and small soup special, going for the spicy tuna panini and the spicy sweet potato soup. The soup was gorgeous. It had lots of creamy sweet potato flavour, and the spice was subtle to give the soup a bit of kick, without overwhelming the delicate sweetness of the sweet potato. The panini was also a winner. Unlike spicy tuna paninis at some other cafes, The Alberts Deli uses freshly chopped chillies to give the sandwich spice, not a few globs of chilli sauce, which I think gave the sandwich a better flavour. All in all, it was a great lunch, and the price was good too--only £3.90 for the combo. Add on one of their delicious espresso drinks (I can highly recommend the cappuccino), and you can have a round meal for about £6. If you happen to find yourself aimlessly wandering in Richmond, I highly recommend steering yourself in the direction of The Alberts Deli and stopping in for a hot coffee and a nice lunch. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Charming little deli at the top of Richmond town. Very friendly staff. Excellent service. We like to come here in the summer when the weather is good with our dog as there are tables outside. The food is always fresh and delicious. Our go to deli on Sunday's.
