Google
A cocktail bar with great drinks and pretty good pricing! My major concern is the oil smell. The place wreaked of oil and I left smelling like a cheesesteak restaurant. If that was fixed, I’d be back much quicker. Service was great as well! Otherwise, deserves 5 stars for sure & I’ll be back at some point- hopefully with some pleasant smells 🤣

This place is a hidden gem. I dont want to review because I want to keep it to myself, but people should know. This is a very humble, quiet, low key cocktail lounge you can take a first date too. Its the Clydez of staten island. Unique cocktails, with a fun environment designed for you to genuinely talk and get to know your company. Best cocktail lounge on staten island, and I lived in 7 states and 1 other country. At the same time the bartenders are humble cool people. Great vibes!

Tucked away in Staten Island, The Alchemist Cocktail Lounge offers a cozy and inviting escape for cocktail lovers. With its warm lighting, plush seating, and intimate vibe, it’s the kind of place where you can settle in and lose track of time. The bar lives up to its name, serving up well-crafted cocktails with a creative twist. Whether you’re into the classics or something more experimental, the bartenders here know their craft and aren’t afraid to get a little inventive. Each drink feels like it was made with intention—and a touch of flair. The music selection complements the space perfectly, creating a laid-back yet lively backdrop that never overpowers conversation. Whether it’s a low-key evening or the start of a night out, The Alchemist strikes a great balance between chill and stylish. If you're in Staten Island and craving a quality cocktail in a relaxed, thoughtfully designed setting, this spot is absolutely worth checking out.

I love this lounge, the middle eastern setting is perfect for setting a romantic and sexy vibe. The cocktail menu is unique and well thought out. I love the souls of the world, a smokey bourbon, that makes me warm inside lol The appetizers menu is also very well put together. Their playlist is a whole vibe! Everything from soca to reggae, old school stuff. The lounge feels super cozy and romantic, but also modern and classy. I love this place when I'm in Staten Island.

The cocktails are AMAZING. Hands down, the most delicious combination of flavors with super attentive and knowledgeable bartenders who are willing to work with your taste pallet to get you THE cocktail you will love. The atmosphere is beautiful and very well decorated, creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere. Although the food menu is limited, the food is so good-there is a variety of appetizers which my husband and I tried, but the tuna tartare was our favorite. The bartenders and staff were super friendly, attentive, and it was easy to feel like you are at a friend's house who is making you the best cocktails you have ever had. This is not a dinner spot, but if you don't want to end your night and enjoy some good drinks and apps, I highly recommend. Perfect for a first date or the hundreds date.

Just threw a surprise birthday party for my husband here and we had an amazing time!!! Katia was so accommodating and communicative throughout the entire process. The space is so intimate and vibey and the bartenders are so friendly. The drinks were of the same caliber of a city speakeasy and the decor was also. Highly recommend as a venue for private parties from my experience, we will definitely be back!

Such a cozy and intimate place, great for a date! Lychee martini was great as well as the espresso martini. We’ll be back! Btw industry night would be highly recommended so us neighborly bartenders can come after work. 😊

Google
PERFECT DATE NIGHT SPOT!! Omg loved it. Romantic and fun, I think this is the perfect lounge to pop in for a quick drink or stay for a few rounds and food, there’s something for everyone. I appreciate that you wouldn’t look out of place more dressy or more casual, it’s really just a chill spot. I can’t wait to have my next girls night here :)

Yelp
Great vibe. Love the quietness when we first walked in, my friends and i were able to have a conversation where we are not screaming at each other. No stinky sweat smell. We only ordered drinks but not food. I got the extraordinary in the ordinary. Staff were friendly.

Yelp
Vibe was very cozy. Got there early before a crowd formed, but it filled up eventually. Bartender was fantastic, Johnny was very engaging and also a great host. Overall the drinks were on the pricey side but that's why we started during happy hour. Drinks were good and well made. The experience was enjoyable enough for us to stay longer than we intended, and I'm told they have a more energetic crowd on Sundays too. Will definitely have to go back and check it out again!

Yelp
I wasn't sure the place was open because there's no staff in the front and the place is dark. They heard us walk in and came from the back. I ordered copper to gold, my friend ordered the sands time, and my sister ordered liquid gold. For good I ordered the marinated olives because the waiter said the fries weren't gluten free, my friend ordered the Parm fries, and my sister ordered the crispy cauliflower. The place is small and intimate. My drink tasted like apple juice which wasn't bad not worth with the price. My sister has a strong punch of passion fruit. My friend's tasted like a watery not good coffee. The food took awhile to come out. First my olives came which tasted of salt and a hint of spice. VERY SALTY and they have pits in them. My sister's cauliflower came out next which had a nice coating of a sweet orange sauce. My friend's fries came out with two different dips. I liked the garlic sour cream looking one. The fries were just waffle fries with Parmesan cheese shredded on top. That was also salty. We were then brought out a tray with 4 desserts. I'm not sure what the cake is called but it has cream and wafer stalked on each other. It wasn't bad and not overly sweet. We were constantly checked on. We started alittle past closing time and they didn't rush us out. The whole service took an hour which I thought was long since we didn't order much and were the only ones there. It's a cute little hang out spot but I think the menu needs to worked on because i couldn't eat much.

Yelp
The bar tender was very nice but he was the only person working on a Saturday night - no host, server, barback, kitchen crew, or manager.. it was literally a one man show (no exaggeration) - we even joked with him because we wanted to order a charcuterie board & a couple small dishes to share, we asked if he was the chef too... sadly he WAS!!! It's not a big place but it was a full house when we got there. I'll spare the details because I'm hoping we just went on a bad night where maybe the entire staff called out..? But if the owner or manager were there I'm sure that wouldn't have happened or they at least would've been able to help this poor bar tender! There aren't a lot of cocktail lounges in SI so there isn't much competition but I hope the owner sets the bar a little higher and figures out how to staff and better operate his business, especially on a busy night. I would give this place one more chance but I would wait about 6 months since it is new... Hopefully they will have more employees by then, if they are still in business. I think most people would give 1-2 stars based on the experience our table had, but the bar tender was trying his best and it wasn't his fault he was the only employee. I will say the place is cute and cozy, nice vibe.

Yelp
I really like this place! Quaint place to grab a drink with some friends or have a date night. Staten Island needs more places like this.

Yelp
giving extra star bc i feel bad. two of us ordered the same cocktail and received different glasses. we also ordered a generic cocktail and it was made with cheap ingredients without espresso // m ingredients. asked for desserts and only offered one off the menu. after eating one dessert, tasted burnt (tasted like free sample from costco). not worth the hype. try don Roberto's if you want authenticity.

Yelp
$16 mocktails? $20 cocktails? $17 fries? This is new dorp.. not midtown tried the baklava and it was okay... brought in from a shop in Brooklyn so not made there. Service was fine. Please make this place more affordable for the shitty economy we are in. Great, we can use another bar in the area but your neighbors cannot afford for this to be "their usual spot" with these prices! Another restaurant that will fail if they don't listen to what the demographic in the area wants. I will rather frequent The Boulevard for upscale ambiance and $5-$10 alcoholic happy hour drinks... or hobrah down the block for a full meal and delicious drinks.
