The Alibi Review - Rainey Street - Austin - The Infatuation

"Alibi is the first bar you see when you get to Rainey Street. This means there’s usually a good crowd of people who just happened upon the bar and are wondering whether to scope out the rest of the street first or just stay there for the next three hours. The backyard is great for playing giant Jenga or watching sports, and after a drink or two when your short attention span gets the best of you, keep bar-hopping down the street and remember you can always go back to Alibi." - Adele Hazan

It's a nice little Texas bar with a neat history of what the property has been over the years! The owner Rollo is a nice guy and the staff is very friendly too! It's just off of 290 at the intersection of 1155, I will definitely be back to consume another drink or two👌

The bar is great, whether you want stop in after a hard day's work, have a beer and relax a little, or looking to have some fun on the weekend, this is the place. The bartenders are great, do their job we. The owner himself is good man. Fine bar.

Definitely a memorial ride for our brother 😇, service was awesome! If your riding out by there stop in and have a cold one! You won't be disappointed 👍

Nice, clean, place. Staff were friendly enough.I thought it was more of a tavern (I was looking for Chicken Fried Steak). Really more of a beer joint type place (the bartender didn't know what went in a martini) but that's OK. I'm not sure if they serve food (the bartender wasn't either). It's more of a community "hang out" which is OK as well, but not really a place for hungry tourists.

New owner! Place looks amazing. We had a hiccup 2 weeks ago on a Saturday when the waiter refused to come put and wait on us. No one but us in the place. We tried yesterday and to our surprise the owner Rolando was working and single handedly provided services for a very nice size crowd. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
We had steak here - it was so delicious and tender. Yes, recommend this place. The stuff is really attentive too - very nice.

Yelp
I love this bar! On our way home from camping on a Sunday afternoon, we were looking for a place to watch the end of the Master's tournament that allowed dogs. Found this place and I'm so happy we stopped! The building itself is awesome, the other people there were awesome and the bartender was great! Loved the atmosphere and would even consider driving the 50 min from our house one Friday/Sat night to have some cold beer. Our dog was welcomed which made it that much better. If you're ever in the area, definitely stop by!

Yelp
Cold, cheap beer. Welcoming, friendly locals. Young lady tending bar was a hoot. Dogs more than welcome.
