This was a super likable little pub to welcome us to DC. We grabbed drinks and a bite of the delicious British fare. The house tequila was super nice and is pictured here. We left full with a warm fuzzy feeling that started off our stay wonderfully. The service at the bar was excellent 👌 couldn't ask for better bartenders.

Nice place, nice people, weak portions. $14 dollar fish and chips gets you 2 very small pieces of fish. They were good but that's rougher than the hide of an 80 year old Floridian. Here's a non sexual metaphor. Think of it like getting a great tasting hot dog but the actual hot dog only takes up half the bun.

I had a Scotch egg & bangers and mash. Both were great. My step-son had the fish & chips. The fish was on the greasy side. Our server was so-so, and that is being nice.

Awesome food with an authentic environment. We found this place after searching for the best Scotch Eggs, but everything else was great as well.

COZY! This is the pub you wish you were at! It's an old pub through and through. Decor is perfect; bricks are exposed, ducts are exposed and painted black, and iron chandeliers hang from the ceiling. On this slow-after-Christmas-day cat videos play in an endless loop on the far TV and 'Night at the Roxbury' silent plays on another other screen with closed captioning. All-the-while Lo-fi techno pushes forward drowning out the conversations of regulars, and the distant ringing of a phone. I recommend hooking a left on your way in and dining in the basement. Located in Judicary Square, and the theme does not disappoint. Legal-ese covers the walls! You'll find yourself surrounded by slogans like "Any road will get you there if you dont know where you are going" and "In case of indictment break glass." -Staff is friendly. -Happy hour specials are excellent. -Fish and chips is outstanding (mini portion is avaliable if you are scheduled for dinner elsewhere) -Not far from courts, law school, Union Station, the capitol, and/or the Department of Labor. ❤ this review? Tap that 👍button. Thanks!

One of the best British pubs in DC! The Alibi serves up British and American cuisine near Union Station. Friendly staff every time that I've been here. I love the British dishes the best. Legit Irish Coffre with house-made whipped cream and fresh made coffee. Good fish and chips. I like their Happy Hour specific deals. And for dessert a great rendition of Banoffee Pie. The place is cozy inside. During nicer weather there are tables outside.

I hate to write this review because I’d rather keep everyone else away so that I can eat all the food and drink all the drinks. Amazing food. Awesome drinks. Have the Irish old fashioned (it’s got a name but I don’t remember what it is). Bangers and mash and fish and chips were the best I’ve had anywhere. Bartenders (Ron and Hannah) are knowledgeable friendly and very good. We will definitely be back!!!!

The food was outstanding and the staff were extremely friendly, we had just gone up from Florida to escape the hurricane and everyone was warm and inviting. The beef wellington is TO DIE FOR, so are the fish and chips. I highly recommend visiting them for a great meal.
