This is a very good hotel in a good location with outstanding staff. I enjoyed staying here and even though I don’t go to Chicago often, I will try to stay here if/when I go back. I have it 4 stars but I wish I could have given it 4.5 or even 4.75 - it’s a 5 star hotel with a couple of minor things that keep it from a perfect rating.||PROS: |Wonderful, Helpful Staff in every department|Reasonable Room Rates|Very Clean|Nice hotel restaurant |Good location|Plenty of good places to eat nearby|Cool Art Deco style decor|Comfortable bed, bedding, and pillows|AC worked well during a heat wave when I was there|Lots of hot water for the shower|Good number of outlets (although I don’t think there were any USB outlets in my room)|Iron, ironing board, and hair dryer all available in the room||CONS:|No coffee maker, fridge, or microwave in my room - these are basic expectations for most travelers nowadays |The TV in my room was old, the remote was worn out and didn’t function well, and the channel lineup was underwhelming - all minor things I know|Elevators were slow during busy hours - not a horrible wait, but the elevators are older and slower than you’d want for a perfect rating|The furniture in my room (couch, chairs, coffee table, etc) was not very comfortable and seemed like something you’d see in a cheaper hotel||In summary - it’s a very good hotel. I liked it and will try to stay here again. I know it would be very expensive to put a coffee maker and microwave in every room, upgrade the TVs, and add more comfortable furniture, but those are the things that would be needed to go from very good to GREAT||But, bottom line, you should stay here
