"The Alley, a popular venue known for its bowling, arcade games, interesting cocktails, local beers, good food, and sports on every television, will permanently close on June 1st due to upcoming hotel development. It was the first public bowling alley in downtown Charleston since the '60s and frequently visited by Bill Murray." - Erin Perkins

On Sundays, the canteen offers half-price tots and fries, $4 bloodies, $4 mimosas, and $15 buckets of Miller Lite, Coors Light, or Miller High Life. And if the game isn’t going your way, just sign up for a lane to work it out on the pins." - Erin Perkins

We went the other day for a different adventure. This place is amazing! We went on a friday and it wasn't too busy considering it was the holiday season. We boed one game and had the best time. The arcade was a huge hit with families! There is also a lot of food and drink options as well. It was a lot of fun. Can't wait to go back soon!

Google
The food was ok...the burger was more like a great slider.those loaded tater tots I heard was gd...pretty loaded.lol.bowling was cool.kinda pricey compared to goose creek, sandpiper and Ashley lanes.they have about 8 lanes...they do 30min to 1hr bowling. the staff were cool folks from what it seemed and was patient.also there are great arcade game choices as well!. that existing parking lot next to the alley will make you feel like you need a 4x4 to safely drive thru it.but they do have over flow parking which is way better if you care about what you drive under. This place is worth experiencing, but not my first choice.

Google
Absolutely FABULOUS! The service and food were fantastic! The entire joint is super cool and the bowling was so much FUN! We had a work party and everyone really enjoyed ourselves. Our server was Mallory and the GM, Scott came by to check on us. It is such a family friendly place. Just a true gem in the heart of Charleston! Thank you for everything Mallory, you ROCKE IT!

Came here to play video games on the way to somewhere else on a Friday night. It’s a big space but it was largely empty. I like the idea of retro gaming and bowling venues but this one just seems off. The bar tender was super nice though.

Um...well...finding somewhere apt to watch the NHL playoffs in Charleston seemed to be like looking for a needle in a haystack so we were elated to find this place! Huge TV's too for your game viewing pleasure. They had a killer Happy Hour. PS -... they also have bowling! Def want to check out one of their Fantasy Football parties soon.

Google
Great semi-unknown spot downtown. Parking can be a bit tricky, but definitely worth it! Waitstaff was great, and drinks were too. Check the site for free video game night! We will definitely be back!

Google
The alley is a fun spot that everyone will enjoy there are cool old fashioned games and bowling 🎳 we had a great time and for sure we are going back soon!!!!

Google
They had SF2, the greatest video game ever so that elevated my opinion immediately. Cool vibe, didn't eat or bowl but would come back. Should make the games 1 quarter or better yet free. Would likely increase the drink turnover.

Yelp
The alley is such a great spot in downtown charleston, my friends absolutely love it. The team there is fun and engaging. My friend group goes constantly to play or just grab drinks and some food. Sucha. fun date night spot, would recommend going earlier to get a lane on busy nights. when we went it was too busy so we just sat and got beers but you cant go wrong with that either. we enjoyed playing hoops and other arcade game. the wings were pretty good and we got nachos to all share. the menu has so many great options and their daily specials are fun and good deals. Parking is weird but if you ask someone they will help, im juts not that good at finding parking for that area.

Yelp
I came in here a Wednesday night for some free arcade games in trivia and stuck around for the delicious grilled veggie bowl. Despite its name, the veggies were actually steamed and then coated with a spicy Cajun sauce that gave the vegetables a delicious flavor. Very sad to hear this business will be shutting down in two short weeks to build a hotel.

Yelp
The Alley is a staple in my happy hour life. The drinks are cheap, there's always seating for groups, and the nachos are great. Nachos come loaded with toppings and the pickled red onions are a nice unique touch that compliment well. For the price and portion size, it's hard to beat. We typically order at the bar, the bartenders are all easy going and friendly. They have arcades and bowling too - haven't done the bowling but the arcades are fun and cheap!

Emily V.

Yelp
Such a great place for happy hour and to bowl! Parking is fairly easy with one free lots and several pay lots nearby. The staff are friendly and quick. Bowling is reasonably priced but heads up there is often a wait. Lanes are well kept and they do table service for the lanes. The other inside space is huge so always easy to grab a table! Their pizza rolls are excellent. Lots of great bar options and happy hour deals.

Young K.

Yelp
Very fun place to bowl with your significant other and family. Not going to lie, it looks a bit sketchy from the outside. Once you get inside, however, there's this big, spacious area with a bar and many tables. You have to go past that to check into a lane. Once you check in (it is sort of pricy... 1 hour for $45), you can start bowling in your respective lane. The only down side is that you have to share the bowling balls and dispenser with the lane next to you. The place was pretty clean but you still get a little grimy feeling. Highly recommend to go here to hang out with friends if you're trying to find something to do downtown Charleston.

Yann T.

Yelp
Always a good time bowling at the Alley. Everyone was nice and we just wish we come more often. Ordered some loaded tots and wings with some mimosas and a transfusion. Perfect on how quickly everything arrived and the price is right. Good way to start any night out even if you don't get a strike!

Yelp
Shout out to "The Alley" for an amazing bowling graduation party. Caroline helped me determine which area to reserve, food choices, bowling space, time, and decor. Ohhhh and they had free parking too!!! Honestly couldn't have been happier! Everyone thought the food was amazing, and they all bowled a full 2 hours. Most importantly we made lasting memories. Can't recommend this more for your next party.

Yelp
We've been going to the Alley for 8 years (only 3 blocks from our house) but have only bowled this last time, at our nephew's 3rd birthday party. We had a ball! [wink] We're writing this review because the Alley knocked down all ten pins when hosting our special event. Specifically, the wait staff was super attentive, food was hot and super fresh (wings were WAY better than we remember), loaded tots were on point, drinks were timely, and the Alley's staff "rolled" with all the kids trying to figure out how to bowl for the first time. Our large group had a chance to see EVERY nook and cranny of the Alley. The high tops in the big room, bar service, old school video games, bowling lanes, and then the booth area where we wrapped up the party. Every frame was a ten. Again, we wanted to compliment the Alley's staff for accommodating us and hosting such a fun birthday afternoon. While the Alley is certainly a different experience with kids, the staff is prepared and READY to host your private party. Pricing is on point with the rest of downtown. Keep in mind that the Alley is the ONLY place to bowl downtown, but they offer so much more too. We applaud their commitment to their menu, food, and presentation. We look forward to our next game, leaving the kids at home, and scoring at the bar.

Yelp
What a blast! I'd surprised my husband with a visit to Charleston for his birthday and I'd thrown a bunch of fun things to do in a hat and one of the things he drew was a visit here. We had a wonderful time. It was early in the day, so there were lots of children, but their enthusiasm for the game just made the atmosphere better. I was pleasantly surprised to find that waitstaff comes by the lane, so you can order drinks and food without having to take precious minutes away by going to the bar. I had a Bloody Mary and was shocked by how delicious it was! My husband had a Trop Hop IPA that he enjoyed. I don't like IPA all that much, but I tasted it and for an IPA, I thought it was good. We snacked on the boiled peanuts and OMG, were they ever delicious. I'd go back for those alone! The Ski Ball and classic games were so much fun. It was just one of those days full of nostalgia. You really can go back and be a kid again in this place. One extra note: the young man that was running the alley and shoe rental has to be one of the nicest people I met in town today. He had a genuinely kind air about him, was really helpful and we appreciated him. A LOT has changed since I left Charleston. I mean, that whole section of town was really different when I was growing up. I found myself questioning if some of those changes were for the better or not, but I will say that The Alley would be a benefit to any neighborhood. Fun for parents and kids alike, this place is not one to miss. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
You can't beat $4 Miller High Life and skeetball. Love the chill vibe here. Came with a group and we played cards, and lots of games. Bartenders were chill and there was a ton of seating. Loved our experience.

Yelp
We were looking for something new yesterday on Uber Eats and The Alley popped up. Wowwwza! We ordered, Chilli, Buffalo Wings, Chick Buff Dip and Dumplings, all were extremely good!! The dumplings were the highlight and vaulted up our go to for our tv binge days. Impressed is an understatement.

Edward J.

Yelp
Great time, great service, good food, fun atmosphere! Would recommend the Alley to anyone visiting Charleston looking for casual relaxing family friendly fun.

Patrick C.

Yelp
Kids loved the place. Weds evenings has happy hour and free retro arcade games. Kids played trigger, galaga and nba jam. They weren't as enthused about the old school Simpsons. Cheese sticks, nachos, and Philly cheese steak egg rolls were good for bar food. Bartender was great and attentive. ambiance was fun and the retro arcade games bring back and made lots of new memories.

Chantelle B.

Yelp
The food was okay. The set up is okay. The bowling area is very small. You're confined to a small space and there's really not enough room for a party of three to four per lane. Unfortunately we had 6 in our party and the area was just too crowded. We came to give this place a try and I doubt we'll be back. There's other great options with much more elbow and breathing room to bowl.

Denise D.

Yelp
A neat little bowling alley snuggled in downtown Charleston. They only have eight lanes but the atmosphere is cozy and the place is FUN. The bowling shoes are in great condition and do are the bowling balls. The staff is friendly and attentive. They serve local beer on tap and from 4-7 is Happy Hour: $4 local brews. I find $11 for a burger to be pretty pricey. It was hot and loaded with fresh tomatoes, onions and pickles but it was on the small side. The loaded tater tots were yummy - hot and fresh. All in all, the alley is a great place to hang out with friends, family or co-workers. Everyone around us was laughing and having a good time, including me! Cheers!

Taylor L.

Yelp
Top notch bowling alley downtown. I've enjoyed this place for years from seeing Coolio perform for a concert to Women's World Cup game watching to bday parties and even rehearsal dinner. Bowling is great. For weekends best to swing by before arriving at bowling in order to get a lane - 45 bucks an hour. Believe bowling league night is Monday so avoid that night if wanting to bowl. Food is tasty and lots of beers to choose from. Always enjoy some tots or a burger or nachos when I am here. There's variety of games for the kids and all of us kids at heart- skew all, bball, pinball old school Pac-Man and such to name a few. I hear that the Alley is going to be bought out and closed soon? Hopefully that rumor isn't true or they change their mind.

Ali D.

Yelp
We came here straight from the airport since it was near our Airbnb. On Thursdays they have $4 burgers (today's options were bacon cheeseburger or pizza burger) and $4 drafts on a select beer. The staff was very friendly and made us aware of the specials of the day. We had great conversations and the burgers were PHENOMENAL. Great value for $4. If we lived in the area we would definitely take advantage of the daily specials.

Yelp
This experience has been amazing !! The concept of bowling and a restaurant was so fun! Our servers name was abbey and she was not only fast and attentive, but also so kind. If you are in the Charleston area please come to The Ally and ask for Abbey !!

Riley M.

Yelp
This place was amazing! The bowling was so fun and the food was even better. Our server Abbey followed us from the bowling lanes over to our table for dinner and provided us with the best service I've ever had. She was attentive and made sure we were taken care of. I was a part of a party of 11, which can be a lot for a smaller location like The Alley, but she handled us so well! I recommend going to The Alley on your trip to Charleston! The service was beyond anything I've experienced.

Brooke C.

Yelp
Abby was amazing. It was me and my bachelorette party and there was 11 of us and she was so attentive. She always knew when we needed more drinks and refills. She served us while bowling first then while eating at a table and she was awesome. 10/10 recommend her.

Chantel R.

Yelp
food was below average. I had to go home and finish cooking the items ...

Michael C.

Yelp
So if your 21 and your partner is 20 then you can't get in. Dumbest thing I have ever seen. Acted like we're kids like wtf

Robert C.

Yelp
My unit rented The Alley for an end of AT party. We had a fantastic time drinking and bowling. Service was excellent and the lanes were clean. The lane I was on was on the dry side but for my style that worked well. Highly recommend for a group party.

Raquel M.

Yelp
First time and it was awesome! such a cool place. Reserve a lane if your going on the weekend bc it could be busy and have a long wait. loved the wings!

Christy M.

Yelp
I like the Alley a lot. It's a fun hangout that has easy food and drinks. While I wasn't drinking tonight, a lot of my friends enjoyed creative different drinks as well as bottled beer. We got the Loaded Tots and shared The Vermont. Both were good, not like "I go to the Alley just to get this..." good, but good as in, I would probably order it again if I was there and in the mood for it. The Vermont is fun because it has sliced apples and a maple mayo... it's a little sweet and yet still a good burger. The Loaded Tots were good, but I remember them being better before. It felt like the "loaded" part was mostly sour cream this time where I felt like last time it was more bacon and onion as well. I didn't even catch the smoked gouda. On another note, we had a large group, largely separate checks and we were moving all over our two stand up tables and our server was AMAZING. Truly, this gal should be on some gameshow where memory makes it work because she would kill it. The other positive side of the Alley is that there are games like ski-ball and mini basketball, and we all went bowling as well. It's very reasonable as well. Fun hangout if that's what you're looking for on a night out.

Yelp
I went to the Alley yesterday for the finale party for lunch buddies; a volunteer opportunity where I eat with a third grader at Mitchell Elementary School twice a month during the school year. The Alley hosts the party every year and the students are able to eat, bowl, and play games with their buddies. The staff was amazing! Even with all the kids and adults they were on top of it all. They were constantly coming around to check on us and make sure we were doing alright. The food was delicious! They have one of my favorite burgers in Charleston, the Vermont which has green apple. It's amazing! I'm thankful that the Alley hosted us yesterday. I had a great time and so did my buddy. These kids go to Title I schools so I'm sure they don't get many opportunities like this.

Yelp
So now that I've been to The Alley approximately 1,000 more times since my last review in 2013, I feel like I've experienced enough to be able to give it a much more well-rounded review. In my previous review, I stated that the food was "good not great," which is the first thing I would like to discuss. I've been back for burgers, events, brunch, and late night, and have found that over the past 4 years, they've really put a strong emphasis on their menu offerings and things have improved immensely. I would say that the food is now in the "great" category. My favorites include the loaded tots (they're seriously divine), nachos, huevos rancheros, and pretty much any of their burgers. While the cramped, few lanes in the back do leave a little something to be desired if you're a serious bowler, people looking to bowl just for fun shouldn't have any issue. Their events and parties are all so much fun; I literally don't have enough good things to say about The Studio 300 party which is some of the most fun I've ever had in Charleston. Basically, I don't know what I did with my life before The Alley existed, and I hope they stick around for a long, long time.

Yelp
OK so it's Thursday after work, I don't feel like cooking at all BUT I'm craving a burger. I do a quick yelp search for burger night & The Alley pops up. I had my doubts at first because this is like say a local Dave and Buster's So I was expecting a cheap burger but not really a good burger. Once again I was proved wrong. First off parking is a little confusing so I just took a chance and parked in the gravel parking lot next to the establishment. Walking in they had a sign that said four dollar burgers Thursdays and half of domestic drafts during happy hour. I fully planned on taking advantage of both. I walk in and head straight to the bar. I was greeted immediately by Friendly staff and bartender and was advised of the specials and how to look at the menu. It's a four dollar burgers had two choices, there is usually a specialty choice of Burger And a simple bacon cheeseburger. I opted for the four dollar bacon cheeseburger, and a side of fries, and a Yuengling draft. The food came out in under 10 minutes. A good sized bacon cheeseburger, with fresh fixings, and hot salt and pepper fries. One bite of this burger definitely impressed me: a $4 burger that was this tasty was definitely worth it! My bill before tip came out to $10.22... I mean one of the best deals in Charleston. Oh, the establishment was clean & there were ample amount of games and lanes, but honestly I'm coming back for the burger deal.

Tayla M.

Yelp
We had an amazing staff appreciation event at The Alley on 1/30! Caroline was wonderful to work with and exceeded our expectations for our private event there. The vibe, staff, and food were fantastic! I would highly recommend The Alley for your next private event!

Charlotte G.

Yelp
The Alley is unique in that it is the only bowling alley located in downtown Charleston. It's a small venue, but it makes up for it in a fun atmosphere. I came here on a Thursday evening with a fairly large group. I would recommend reserving your lanes beforehand because there are only a handful available (this is downtown, after all). Thursdays are definitely great nights to go because it's $4 burger night for the classic burger. I got this with tater tots and a $4 local pint as well for the Thursday special. There's a lot of more typical restaurant seating in the front also, which provides some flexibility in the venue. You can bowl some then go eat or vice versa. I ended up eating while I was bowling which is definitely possible, albeit a bit of a juggling act. The Alley overall is a fun spot for friends to hang out in a way that isn't the usual downtown bar hopping or restaurant sitting. I'd recommend trying this place at least once if you're a local looking to expand your activities!

Yelp
My husband threw me a surprise birthday party at the Alley and I am so happy he did!! First- He told me about the communication he had with the Alley from day one up until the end of the party and everything was smooth sailing. There were no issues and everything was clearly explained. Second- The food! Wow! We had the taco bar, tot bar, fruit/cheese tray and spinach & artichoke dip. Everything was SO delicious. Way better than I would have expected. Probably some of the best tacos I've had. So many options for each "bar". The open bar we had was pretty solid, as well. Our bartender was friendly and super awesome to talk to. Third- It was great that we were able to have a "private" bar and eating area at the end of the lanes. We had the last two lanes plus this area, which made it easy for my party to stay together. The bowling was super fun. They have a ton of ball size options, so everyone was able to find what they needed. I will certainly be back to the Alley for a fun night our or to attend any of the awesome events they host.

Kirsten V.

Yelp
We had an absolute blast at the Alley! We were here for a sorority function and it could not have been more fun. They have wonderful old video games from the 80s, obviously they have bowling, and a big fun bar. The appetizers that they served for our party were excellent. We had our own bar and bartender and he was amazing. Every employee that we encountered was incredibly helpful and friendly.I can't wait to come some night when we aren't there for a function and just hang out. We will definitely be back!

Terinna C.

Yelp
Waiting on a rainy day takes really really long. But kind service and friendly bartenders. Food is yummy. Games are priced nicely. Lots of seating area. Price per game could be a bit steep- but very clean and nice. If we could reserve online or call ahead I think it would be the 5th star.

Jen X.

Yelp
This is a good place if you want somewhere quieter to drink with friends. The drinks prices weren't crazy so if you're looking for cheap drinks there are better places downtown. I went on a Friday night and it wasn't too crowded. They have specials different nights of the week so I'd actually suggest going on a weekday instead. Be careful if you want to bowl because it was actually pretty expensive (about 50$) an hour for a lane compared to some other bowling alleys. The arcade games are cheap and fun though, but be careful because some of them are broken and we lost some bucks because of it.

Lisa A.

Yelp
Went to The Alley on a Tuesday night for their $2 bowling game special at 9pm. With it being my first time, I didn't know how bowling worked...first come first serve? Waitlist? Reservations? Etc. My party of 6 decided to go at 7pm just to be safe. It is a first come first serve where they place you on a waitlist and will message you through text when your lane is ready. Well my lane became available at 8:30 but I needed to wait until 9 for the special. I asked if they could bump me down and the girl handling the bowling counter was so polite and helpful, they will absolutely make it work for you. I could tell though it wasn't one of their busiest nights, I think due to the fact that it is back to school week for most. We ordered sandwiches, appetizers, and drinks. They have $2 beer specials as well! Food was good, not omg this is the best ever but definitely worth ordering. When it came time for bowling, they set up the game for you with our names which is super convenient. Our waitress was able to continue to serve us at our lane which was awesome! I had so much fun, the atmosphere is fun, energetic, and casual. I highly recommend getting a group of friends together!!! Will definitely be back!

Craig S.

Yelp
Bowling alley in the back with arcade/skeeball games up front! The place really tries for that hipster vibe, but is closer to what business casual would call retro. It's not a bad thing; just slightly manufactured, and probably more sanitary. It's a big space that can handle big groups like your friend's birthday bar crawl. They open up more areas as the place fills out--which is great--that way it doesn't feel empty or with a line outside. A big projector screen has popular sport games on usually. The chicken waffle sliders are really good, but are dessert in style with their sweetness. They are my preferred item. FYI tip: They did have a great parking lot, but now it's farther away and much smaller. Definitely a bummer since not having to mess with parking pains was a great draw.

Elise D.

Yelp
Bowling alleys aren't usually known for their food, but The Alley is the exception to that. I have had great experiences with their food every time that I've been there. Even if you aren't into bowling, the Alley is a great place to go just to hang out, play arcade games, and chow down. I highly recommend going to The Alley on Tuesday nights (starting at 9 PM) because they have $2 bowling, $2 hot dogs, and $2 classic cans. You can have a great time and get competitive with friends without paying the big bucks. If you have a great time on a Tuesday (and you will), come back on Thursday for $4 burgers. The special only includes their classic burger, but I recommend their Southern burger. The Southern Burger is the ultimate comfort food because it is topped with pimento cheese, a fried green tomato, country ham, bread & butter jalapenos (a dream come true), and BBQ sauce. I don't know about y'all, but those are literally all of my favorite things piled on to one burger. The Alley also brings back a certain nostalgia because you will find yourself spending $20 on arcade games, but unfortunately your parents probably aren't there to give you more money. The games are fun and the food is great, so there's not much more you can ask for.

Ken C.

Yelp
Wonderful place for a family, we bowled their the other night and Demar was awesome! He made a special accommodation that he didn't have to do but meant the world to us. We'll be back and will tell our circle of influence about this venue.

Scotty C.

Yelp
Not only do I love this place as a patron but, I love the concept itself in that it's something unique that was truly needed in Downtown. I have experienced this venue in multiple forms from a venue space at Pecha Kucha, to an after party/concert for Dig South, as a bar/restaurant to hang out at, and most recently a bowling alley as well. I had a credit to be used and decided to book a couple lanes for my thirtieth bday... (www.sadtrombone.com). We had quite a few people come out so not everybody could bowl at once, but not everyone wanted to bowl anyway. We were able to put six people per lane and the others mingled around by the lanes or out in the main bar area. The service was impeccable. We arrived early as to not waste our bowing time while people were arriving. While we waited, many of us ordered food and drinks. Then when it was time to bowl, our waitress suggested we all just head over to our lanes and she would bring us our tabs. This way, we didn't have to wait and miss out on bowling time just to close out and re-open another tab with the waitress on the bowling side. Because she was so attentive, I was a bit afraid of who we might end up with as a server but, turns out, she was just as stellar of a server as the first. We never were waiting for drinks and they even helped accommodate a cake/candles operation from the kitchen (with a cake my friend had made). She made sure throughout the night that everyone in our large party was taken care of and she had a great sense of humor as well. Considering there are only 8 lanes, there was plenty of room for our group and we all had a blast. Everyone was commenting that they were so happy to have experienced the place and all looked forward to coming back. We did two hours of bowling and everyone did pretty terrible, but we all had a good time. Thanks to the Alley and their staff. PS the Mac & Cheese is crazy good!

Chelsi U.

Yelp
This place is a little hidden on king street downtown. My friend and I rode our motorcycles up which caused some of the people that work there to come out. They turned out to be super cool people! They suggested that we park our bikes where there are cameras. Given that a lot of bikes have been stolen in Charleston lately, that was much appreciated. Inside, there were a bunch of people playing trivia. I was meeting some friends so I sat with them. After about 10 minutes, I asked where the waiter was. My friend informed me that he does "drive bys" where he'll come by and drop off or pick up and not say anything. Man, she was right. I had to finally get his attention to let him know I'd like to order. I got the healthy veggie sandwich on multigrain bread. I was really happy that they had healthy options! The flavor of the sandwich was good, but I wished I had more of the red pepper hummus on it. The bread was a bit dry and since they toasted it, it was a bit hard to bite into. The top of my mouth was scraped up a bit. But, a small price to pay for multigrain bread I suppose. Trivia night was exciting and I know they do other things on other week nights so that's pretty cool. I'd definitely stop in again to see the people and see what else this establishment has to offer.

Yelp
Definitely the coolest bowling alley I've ever been to. I went last night with some friends, and it's probably the closest thing to a Dave and Buster's Charleston has. There are lots of arcade games, skee ball, and things like that along with bowling, and there's a full bar. In addition, you can get lots of good food- the food isn't your average nachos with glowing orange cheese, popcorn, or nuked slices of pizza. The food is actually pretty good- I guess it's upscale bar food. Food is reasonably priced. They have specials each night of the week and now they do Sunday brunch. The only downside is there are not a whole lot of bowling lanes, so you may have to wait a bit for a lane. I think you may be able to call ahead and reserve. It's definitely better than the other bowling alleys in the area!

Yelp
This is a really cool spot for Charleston. While visiting, I convinced a group of friends to check it out and we had a blast. There are 8 lanes in total, so I can imagine on a busy night that there may be a little bit of a wait. Luckily, we didn't have to wait for a lane to become available. If bowling isn't your thing, there are other games along with a bar area to keep you entertained. We didn't eat there, but you are allowed to eat, drink and bowl. The drinks were pretty standard and the service was great. Parking is available around the corner on King street. If you get a chance definitely check this place out.

Yelp
The Alley works and it is needed in downtown Charleston. The idea of a college town that does not have a bowling alley is just a silly notion. We need a bowling alley and no bowling alley is complete without a bar / restaurant and a private upstairs area for parties. The design is perfect for the small space it had available. There are only about 9 lines so come early if you want to bowl but if you want a unique downtown experience, this is a place to be. Glad we have a downtown place to eat, bowl or have private functions.

Yelp
If you're looking for a fun space to get together and play games with friends while having 5star bar food and drinks, this is it! My friend hosted a welcome party for her wedding weekend here - it's part arcade, part bowling alley. The bar serves good local beer and my friends and I shared a great salad and loaded tots. Fun place for a group and kid friendly

Yelp
This place is a lot of fun for a group of friends! Ping pong, arcades games, skee ball, strong drinks and a bowling alley in the back! There's a sketchy alley right next to the building where you can park for free at your own risk, and there's a parking garage around the corner if you're trying to get lit and catch a Lyft. I had the Vermont burger and it was bomb! The Mac and cheese was room temp and basically flavorless and our waitress was terrible, but it was still a fun way to kick off the evening. I'd go back just for the burger and games.

Yelp
I came back here to watch the USC game this past weekend and was a little bummed with the experience. Food was a big disappointment this time around. The Southern Burger and what used to be my favorite, The Bridge Run Salad with grilled shrimp, were incredibly mediocre. The patty on the burger tasted bland. It also tasted like it had been frozen. The burger had country ham, fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese, and BBQ sauce on it, but I could barely taste any flavors. The Bridge Run Salad was drenched in salad dressing and the shrimps had no seasoning or grill taste to it. Westbrook IPAs were $7 each, which is a bit high, even for downtown. The only consistent thing were the Loaded Tots. Still tastes phenomenal and something I would totally come back for.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I usually go to the same couple bars over and over again and know everyone there so we decided to switch it up. We weren't going bowling or anything- just wanted a change of scenery. We sat at the bar and got a couple of happy hour drinks. I was kind of hungry so we decided to get the buffalo chicken dip and my boyfriend got a BLT slider (I think the sliders are a dollar off during happy hour). The slider was pretty standard but holy cow! The buffalo chicken dip was HUGE! Luckily I'm pretty good with spice because this dip is definitely on the spicier side. we ended up having to take some home. I really like coming here for drinks because you don't just have to sit at the bar- there are so many other activities to do here. Good time over all!

Yelp
Cool spot. Definitely unique. Didn't get a chance to bowl while I was there but had a few drinks. Bar was nice and the bartender was attentive. Good beer and drink selection. It's pricey but so is most of downtown Charleston so about average compared to other bars in the area. Definitely would like to come back here again maybe to try the food and bowl!
