Donut Bar brings liquor-infused doughnuts head to the Grand Canal Shoppes | Eater Vegas

"A Taiwan-born global bubble-tea franchise nearing completion of a remodeled corner location, promising to ‘take tea to a new level of sophistication’ with creative design and drink presentations and a menu of milk and bubble teas that uses a proprietary sugar cane syrup blend and house-made pearl-shaped tapioca." - Bradley Martin

This tea house from Taiwan offers a notably clean and spacious environment. The selection of milk teas is varied and impressive. The service provided is commendable, with welcoming and attentive staff. Ordering through the kiosk was easy and quick, and the staff called my order number when the drinks were ready. I would suggest the Vietnamese Coffee with Sea Salt Cream, which features robust flavors derived from authentic Vietnamese coffee beans, allowing for a distinct taste experience compared to other establishments. Adding sea salt cream contributes to a pleasant balance of sweetness and creaminess that complements the coffee's natural acidity. Another recommendation would be the Matcha Purple Rice Yogurt, which allows for customization in sugar levels. I chose a lower sugar option and ube, resulting in a delightfully creamy and rich beverage. The pricing is also quite reasonable, given the quality of the offerings.

The Alley is a nice-looking place to hang out with matching quality drinks! I always get analysis paralysis at bubble tea places with so many options. I always ask for recommendations, and it could sometimes be a hit or a miss. You don't always like what's most popular, right? Fortunately, the mango and cream drink the staff recommended this time was out of this world. It has so much unique flavor I've never had before in a bubble tea. I'm going to be coming back just for this drink alone!

Loved this restaurant! The owner, Tree, is super considerate. I ordered the Oolong Tea and Korean Popcorn Chicken and he suggested I get the chicken at 50% sweetened instead of normal, because my drink was sweet. Fantastic call! The restaurant is clean, neat, and decorated well! Definitely recommend trying this location if you’re in Fairfax, Virginia. 5/5 stars.

i had my first “the alley” in vietnam so wxpectation were HIGH! my first time trying it here was okay. I was not loving it as much as vietnam but also don’t hate it? I liked my drink. I got a yogurt purple rice l drink which tasted like dessert with me asking for it to have less sugar! My recommendations is to do less sugar as drinks are typically a bit sweeter in my taste. Also got to try the mango snow (i think thats what it called) with less sugar and liked it as well. Thai tea tasted like sugar even with less sugar. Service was pretty quick and fast and the space is roomy. Plenty of space to seat. Easy parking and access, would come here again!

I rarely write reviews for food/drink but I had to for The Alley! I had my first drink there today, the peach oolong with muddled orange and WOW is it worth it. I got less sugar in mine and boba pearls. The orange made such a difference and the oolong tea tasted like fresh brewed tea. Very happy with my experience there!

Disappointing. This place has lots of great reviews but my fiancé n i found the drinks to be underwhelming. While the matcha crème brûlée croffle was good, it doesn’t make up for the odd comments put onto our drinks and food, calling us idiots in japanese for wearing matching crocs. Unsure whether the 3 girls behind the corner were bored and thought it was funny. Regardless unfortunately this was a very disappointing visit.

I was in the area and made my first visit tied to a Yelp event. They had been on my radar since they have some really unique ingredients and I was curious to see how it was. It's a clean, sparse location. Some tables, a kiosk, a little soft seating, and the counter. I scrolled through the kiosk to get an idea of what they had. I jumped back and forth and decided to go a little wild with the iced Ube Brown Sugar Boba Crème Brûlée milk. I was the only one ordering at the time, but they were quick. The drink was nice. It's quite rich... Definitely not watered down or too much ice. This drink is on the sweeter side and I was a fan. The boba is a little softer (not in a bad way) and really flavored. The crème brûlée milk was the biggest, pleasant surprise. It's actually a custard they put in the drink.

I tried all flavors they are delicious. I love it. Even strawberry smoothie was different. I want to appreciate staff as well. They are very nice even we were late but they gave excellent service.
