Google
We had an incredible time at the American Bar at Gleneagles, and it's all thanks to Declan, the bartender extraordinaire! Declan's cocktail knowledge is truly impressive, and he made some the most best drinks we've ever had. If you're looking for top-notch cocktails and a fantastic time, visit the American Bar, and be sure to chat with Declan.

Yelp
A Most Noble Retreat! At Gleneagles Resort, I reveled in the splendor of rolling down the hill like a carefree spirit, with the wind at my back and joy in my heart. The room, a sanctuary of comfort, was most delightful, and the service impeccable. The food, too, was a feast fit for royalty. I took great pleasure in the noble sport of golf, and the falconry and clay shooting were experiences of unparalleled excitement. A retreat of both elegance and adventure, Gleneagles is truly a place of joy and distinction!

Yelp
I had never even heard of Gleneagles until our friends mentioned they lived just five minutes away--who knew this hidden gem was right under our noses! Walking in, I was instantly in awe of the beautiful golf course and the lineup of Bentleys and Rolls Royces casually parked out front. Talk about arriving in style! And the cherry on top? A friendly Scottish staff in full kilt attire, greeting everyone at the entrance--I felt like I'd stepped into a movie. We wandered around the hotel, soaking it all in, and couldn't resist staying for dinner. Such a fun and fancy experience!

Yelp
I was en route up to Inverness for Easter and we popped into Glenegales as a wee treat for my aunts 60th. What a beautiful place. Such a grand entrance, with fresh flowers everywhere you looked. The staff were extremely attentive and welcoming. We were seated in the main dining area, as the bar area (where afternoon tea is normally situated) is currently under refurbishment. This was a stunning room. The atmosphere in the elegant Art Deco surroundings is one of luxury and opulence. It is stylishly reminiscent of the roaring twenties. There was also a the pianist in the corner of the room playing variety of pieces, my favourite was the Disney medley!! We initially opted for a bottle of Prosecco, followed by the traditional afternoon tea. There are a vast array of teas to choose from, however I always think English breakfast complements it perfectly. The afternoon tea came in 3 separate tiers. Top tear had a selection of tiny hot treats. Quiches, ham and wholegrain mustard pastry roulette, mini pork sausage roll, and a small sub roll with perfectly cooked beef and pesto. Tier 2's sandwich selection was top quality. Use of different breads complemented each filling. These included cheese and pickle, light coronation chicken, egg mayo and micro cress, cream cheese choux pastry balls, salmon bellini's with a gorgeous edible pansy, so pretty and yummy! Tier 3 had an amazing selection of petite pastries - custard slice, raspberry chocolate muffin, lemon tart, chocolate eclair, rhubarb jelly with meringue on top, etc. These were just heavenly, the variety of subtle flavours and textures was a complete delight. Finally not to forget the warm freshly baked fruit and plain scones, served with strawberry jam, clotted cream and lemon curd. Delicious! The tea was constantly flowing, and served by friendly helpful staff, that made the whole experience special. This was a very pleasurable experience, and beyond compare to afternoon teas I have experienced in the past. I would definitely recommend to have a light/ non existent breakfast prior to attending so you can fully indulge!

Yelp
There is no doubt that staying at Gleneagels is an amazing experience! I recently stayed there partly private but also officially as a tour operator Sassenachs Tours. One definite rule of thumb is to arrive in a classy and expensive car. Actually, the bigger the better. Everything else gets kind of noticed The interior of the hotel is smart chic and there are lots of facilities to use. There are several restaurants and bars, as well as coffee places. I tasted a few coffees and teas in the building and they were all well made. You will find your own shopping street with shops and a flower table. The hotel is bigger than it looks when you first arrive. There must be over 100 rooms, which range from regular & executive to suites with fantastic views towards the Perthshire countryside. In regard to activities there are plenty to choose from, like carriage ride, 4x4 range rover, riding at the equestrian centre, spa and gym, tennis, golf, hunting dogs, cycling, swimming pool and much more. The rooms and hotel are clean and the staff very friendly and accomodating. I really enjoyed drinking my coffee in the century bar and watching the world go by. Why only 4 stars? I had some issues with the room service on occasion (asking for toilet paper?!?!) and needed to ask to have the toilet seat fixed, but overall this was ok. Also, there was an incident in the breakfast room Strathearn , whereby I thought that the personell was not very accomodating when it comes to seating requests. Also guests were treated differently. For example one was ask to take their hat off before entering the room and others could leave their hats on. This was a bit strange. Anyway, overall this was a very pleasant stay. I especially liked the welcoming committee dressed in their kilts. I will be back. xx

Yelp
Wowser this place is incredible it has to be said. I took my lady here for her birthday weekend, they do great deals on Sunday nights bed and breakfast with two spa treatments. We arrived about 2:30pm got checked in, having been picked up at the train station we didn't see out bags again till we got to our room. We then got into out swimwear got our dressing gowns on and headed to he pool, so cool - sauna, steam, pool, outdoor pool just ace fun. Does life get any better than this. After the best hotel shower since hotel du vin we got ready and went for dinner in Deseo. Service was ok, we were asked what we wanted to drink without being shown a drinks list. For dinner we shared some lovely tapas for starters, I ordered tuna for main, I asked for it pink it came overdone, I sent it back, it came back better but not brilliant. We had a cracking cheese board and as a surprise they brought out a cake and candle for Steph. Nice touch. After that we had cocktails in the bar, great service in there and great drinks. I ha a robroy, classy :)! Our bed and the reason why they get 2 stars was a disaster, in this level of hotel you expect the best, what we had was 2 single beds pushed together, the staff didn't deal with it and at breakfast a rather rude guest relations manager told me I was wrong and that it wasn't two beds, I corrected her and then showed her, fair to say she was embarrassed, they did then say the bill would be corrected. Breakfast was amazing, it's a buffet but like no other. An egg station with poached duck eggs.......caviar.......smoked salmon, truffle scrambled eggs.....cheese, croissants.....everything......! Heaven! I then sent Steph off to have her spa treatments which she loved :) when we checked out no deduction was made from the bill......I asked for one and they gave me £50 off which I didn't think was appropriate, so they made it £100. Better but really for me the experience was already tainted. I will go back but it will take some time!

Yelp
Beautiful resort, grounds, activity center and all. The staff here was amazing. I'd like to come back for more than just a visit. Today I visited the amazing indoor arena for my nieces riding lesson, the lobby & the cafe. All were top notch. They also have tennis courts on their beautiful grounds.

Yelp
I absolutely love everything about this hotel! It's an expensive visit, whether you are there for food, an overnight stay or a day spa visit but for me it's definitely a case of you get what you pay for. The hotel is set in large, beautiful grounds and has 3 adjoining golf courses and is hosting the Ryder Cup this September which tells you how good the golf is! There are lots of activities you can do here including gun dog training, horse riding etc. This review is for a recent spa day I had at the hotel's Espa spa. Now firstly my spa day cost £155 so at the top end of the scale for a day of pampering but honestly the whole experience was perfection. This price included two specially tailored pregnancy treatments (a 55min body treatment and a 55min facial) and a two course lunch. You arrive at the spa and are shown round by one of the lovely staff, you get a giant locker with your robe, slippers, towels etc. and the show you round the different areas of the spa. There are saunas, steam rooms, tropical showers (where the water is scented!) and the loveliest relaxation room ever. Adjustable beds with giant pillows and fluffy throws, with snacks and refreshments on tap. It's difficult not to doze off in there! My treatments were excellent. The therapist listens to any skin / body concerns you may have and incorporates the correct oils / products in to your treatment. You still get to chose by doing a few smell tests which ones you'd like, which is nice. Lunch was delicious. Some of the best food I've eaten! I was so impressed that I'll be writing a full review on the blog soon :)

Yelp
This is a review of Deseo and not Gleneagles Hotel in general. Had lunch in Deseo today and a) the food took 55 mins to arrive from ordering and b) was pretty poor quality. No apology re length of time; my nephew had to leave before it arrived as he had been booked in to a football activity. We had asked if they could bring out his chicken and chips from kiddy menu after 40 mins but it still failed to materialise in time. We saw our pizzas sitting under heat lamp for a good 25 mins...! No wonder it was dry! Strathearn next time! We've eaten in Strathearn before and it is head and shoulders above Deseo! Live and learn.

Yelp
I have visited this property a couple of times and have found it to be excellent. The last time I stayed in the hotel and it was outstanding! The service and facility is awesome. The breakfast is amazing. The American bar is very cool and staff was great at explaining various scotches that we tasted. I played 2 of the 3 golf courses and found them in great condition and fun to play. They have more activities than golf but that was my focus for the trip. Look forward to my next opportunity to visit and try spa etc.

Yelp
This is a TEN Star venue. People talk about the Burj al Arab and it's rating as a 7* hotel. I have stopped there and it does not carry the magnificence of Gleneagles. The Burj is all Marble and sparkle, Gleneagles is polished Oak and Crystal with miles more character. It also has that hedonistic buzz. History tells us that it was built by the former Caledonian Railway Company, with its own railway station and opened in 1924. At the time it was described as 'a Riviera in the Highlands' and 'the eighth wonder of the world'. I personally think it still holds that reputation. Architecturally stunning and, a little publicised fact, a haven for wild life. Read the back of your scorecard. When out on one of the 3 superb Golf courses you are allowed to move your Golf ball if it should come to rest amongst Deer droppings (only on the Fairway, c'mon play the game!!). Nothing can begin to describe what it feels like to pull up on the gravel drive to the front of this piece of history and wander up the sweeping stone steps into the reception and feel a real sense of history. It raised the hairs on the back of my neck. WOAH...I am gushing aren't I? I can't help it..hold on whilst i pull myself together...DEEP breaths...OK VFM cannot be measured as this is an experience thing that cannot be valued but most souls would drop their wallet in shock when confronted with the cost. I on the other hand was lucky enough to get my first long weekend (Thurs to Tue ) totally gratis. Yes folks, I did not pay a bean courtesy of some major strokes of good luck whilst playing in a series of knockout phases in the UK Amateur classic sponsored by a famous Sunday broadsheet. They picked up the whole tab and provided all the entertainment. WoopDeeDoo As far as dining goes they have a variety of choices dependent on your mood. In all of the dining areas you will get superb service and fresh local produce is their mantra. The only thing I know of that isn't local is flown in from the Rungis Market in Paris mainly because Andrew Fairlie's 2* Michelin rating due to his training in France and so he provides a gallic twist. During various visits I have sampled the Scallops, Oysters, Clams and Lobster. You will not be disappointed. Also do not miss out on the Veal & Venison dishes. Finish off with their exquisite Sorbets or even the Salted Caramel Popcorn. Best treat of all here, Crepe Suzette flambéd tableside. The Strathearn is a more casual dining experience where you do not have to dress up. I have only ever used it for Breakfast and what a Breakfast. Start with the Porridge with fresh cream or even a Cranachan ( whipped cream, whisky, honey, and fresh raspberries topped with toasted oatmeal). The buffet chef will whip you up an omelette of your choice but, seriously, the Eggs Benedict will see you set for the morning. Huge buffet of everything you can imagine but the freshly squeezed Ruby Grapefruit jus is my personal favourite. Deseo provides a twist as it is Mediterranean cuisine. The Tapas menu contains some real treats such as the Babaghanoush, Guindilla peppers,Pinchos, Albondigas, Gambas al Ajillo but the star of them all is the Rinoñes close second for me was the Morcilla. Sorry, have to stop for a mo' and wipe the drool of my keyboard. Another ace up their sleeve is the traditional British afternoon tea. Hand cut finger sandwiches, Scones with Homemade Jam and Clotted Cream. Whoops, dribbling again, damn. The rooms are what you would expect and you know that feeling when you land on a real bed after a hard evenings work drinking and dining? You know the one, the bed just swallows you and you sink into the comfiness. You will find that here. All the room facilities are top notch and I dare you to not have to force yourself to not check out with the gown in your bag. All the expected facilities are here and they cater for all kinds of occasions and groups. I can definitely recommend the Spa. It is spectacular. I will not go on to talk about the three Golf courses that form part of the Gleneagles estate; The Kings The Queens The Monarch They deserve to be reviewed individually and separately but, what i can tell you is that this is the only Golf venue I have ever played where, when you start your round, you will be greeted by a chap (starter for those golfers amongst you) in a top hat, wearing White gloves who will gently remind you of the local rules and the importance of etiquette and then usher you on to the green velvet first tee and wish you a pleasant round. Class in the grass. Since my first visit all that time ago I have been back, not as frequently as I would have liked but, enough times to know that this is 850 acres of Perthshire countryside paradise. Go get your bags packed and come to the Valley of the Eagles. http://www.gleneagles.com/home.aspx Expensive as it is, in this life, you get what you pay for. You will not regret it.

Yelp
The Gleneagles hotel in Perthshire is a 5 star resort which is made famous by having three of Scotland's top championship golf courses. The hotel itself sits proud and grand amongst huge green trees and it hard not to be a little awestruck by its huge presence when you first set eyes on it. When you enter the marble pillared reception with its dark wood and ornate floors and ceiling the image of grandeur is impressed even further upon you. The most basic rooms available at the hotel are as impressive as some of the most expensive suites at many luxury hotels. The rooms all vary in style from modern to more traditional but they all have excellent views and are decorated in vibrate yet calming colours. Unfortunately I was not lucky enough to stay in one of the suites but when I booked my room online I had a look at the photos of th and they look impressive. The award winning Spirit Suite in particular looks gorgeous. The Gleneagles Hotel has 4 fantastic restaurants and 1 bar which also sells light lunches and afternoon tea. The Strathearn serves the finest cuisine Scotland has to offer such as Scottish pigeon and Highland venison. Deseo is more informal and serves Mediterranean dishes and has a tapas menu. The Dormy Clubhouse sells good old pub grub style meals such as sausage and mash and steak and mushroom pie. Finally, the Andrew Fairlie restaurant is a Michelin star restaurant serving stunning French classics with a Scottish twist. The resort has a hair and dental salon, a fantastic playroom for young kids and "the zone" for older kids which has table football, computer games and arcade games and for adults there's the unbelievably gorgeous ESPA spa. As well as golf there are a number of other excellent activities on offer such as falconry, equestrianism and off road 4x4 driving! As you would expect a stay at The Gleneagles resort is not cheap but if you ever have some money to burn and fancy a few nights away from it all you'll be hard pushed to find anywhere better in Scotland. There is so much on offer that it can cater to romantic weekends, family holidays or girly spa getaways.

Yelp
Spent a lovely afternoon here in may for a birthday treat. We had afternoon tea in the Resturant as the bar area and the hotel in general seems to be going through a refurb which didn't impact on our day at all. Firstly we were greeted by the lovely doorman and in the Resturant the staff were more than accommodating and polite and friendly. The food itself was very tasty and faultless apart from the scones, we were only offered one out of a basket and the description of the different varieties sounded tastier than the scone did itself however the jam and lemon curd made them a little tastier. I wouldn't let this put me off returning for afternoon tea in the future. Must mention the variety of teas available! I lost count of the amount of pots of tea we had as well as the chilled bottle of Moët!

Yelp
This place is the creme of the creme if you want to be treated well. It is like being at home and being a royal at the same time with people at the door in kilts greeting you.. People who work here become your friends and always remember you. It is out in the middle of no where in the beautiful Glens of Scotland not far from the Sterling Castle. Has golfing, clay shooting ranges, can go off roading with range rovers, can fly hawks and hunt with them, or with dogs. It had a wonderful spa. Nice restaurants, awesome breakfast buffet. world class food. awesome pool so much stuff to do here so little time to not do anything and relax but its ok cause its a great experience. How can people not feel like a million dollars here? If I was to rate the place it would be alot higher then 5 stars. Ill be back..

Yelp
Who goes to Gleneagles? Apart from the hoards of golfers, it's a surprising guest list from loved up couples to girlie weekend spa-breaks, well-to-do families to Farmfoods plastic bag carriers. And throw in a few Americans, Japanese, Chinese and the odd Celeb and there you go. There's buckets to do. Country pursuits may not be everyone's cup of tea, but there's loads more on offer and too many to mention. My favs were the falconry and leisure pool followed by a lovely walk to the 19th hole, via the mini-mall and whisky bar of course. And let's not forget the eating! The service is immaculate and friendly, from the kilted doormen who'll joke about his poor golf swing to the bar staff who will give you the history of most brands of whisky. The rooms are fantastic and we were lucky enough to get an upgrade to an apartment sized Whisky suite - perfect! There's even a mini-mall where you can buy everything 'country'. Crickey! The food and drink are the main event. Virtually every whim and fancy, any time of day or night, is catered for. Breakfast (my fav) was orgasmic. From Arbroath smokies, top of the range sausages, to an omelette station via waffles and pancakes. Evening choices range from darkly glamorous, two-Michelin-starred eating in Andrew Fairlie's restaurant to swanky French-Scottish dining in the Strathearn. There's also the Mediterranean-style all-day Deseo (good for children). But that's not all. To fill in the gaps, there are sumptuous afternoon teas (2nd fav) that will fill you to the gunnels, home-made cakes in Braid's Coffee Lounge or classic bar food in the Dormy Clubhouse. Christ, I'm stuffed! My advice? Bring a fat wallet and some slack trousers...

Yelp
Fabulous hotel, the best in Scotland without doubt. Gleneagles retains the old-world charm, sophistication and elegance that can only come from a wealth of history. The legendary hotel is located in a traditional, idyllic Scottish setting- with trees, green, green grass and peacocks setting the tone. The tennis courts are particularly of note, with the restaurants being fantastic in every respect. Go on, treat yourself, you may even be surprised at the prices! You can sometimes get really reasonable deals, which are well worth it. Experience history by staying at this iconic hotel.

Yelp
I had a great time at Gleneagles on our tour of Scotland (Glasgow, Gleneagles, and Edinburgh)! On the first night, we dined at Andrew Fairlie (which has its own review by the way). During the day on our one full day, we relaxed by the pool. The pool is gorgeous. There is also a lap pool and an outdoor heated pool. The outdoor pool is almost like an outdoor hot tub. The indoor hot tub seemed to be broken as we couldn't get any bubbles out of it. The other half also enjoyed the steam room. The rooms are gorgeous as well. The beds are super comfy, and there are gorgeous old style bathtubs in the bathroom. I enjoyed a bath myself one of those days. They keep you well stocked with complimentary water and chocolate oaties. They also turned down the room at the end of the night so when you came back from your evening out the bed was ready for you to crawl into and drift off to sleep. The second night started with a whisky tasting at the bar followed by a few cocktails. We then had dinner at Deseo and came back for more drinks! Andy the bartender was so much fun and a genius with cocktails. He made stuff for the other half using fun molecular gastronomy techniques (smoked drinks anyone), and let us try some of his magnificent lime infused rum. The only downside of the place was eating at Deseo. The food was just lacking. We went with tapas. They were all fairly average except for the lamb kidneys (which were out of this world). The bread was also tasty. The mussels were fishy and we just couldn't eat them. The risotto was too thick and cloying (don't people know risotto should be oozy, not thick and pasty?). They seemed to be out of every wine on the menu that we tried to order. The desserts were subpar. I ordered cannoli. What I received where white chocolate shells filled with flavored cream. That's not cannoli. It just isn't. I wanted pastry dammit. The other half's chocolate pot was way too bitter for me. He enjoyed it (which is surprising because I'm usually the fan of bitter chocolate), and said you needed to eat it with more of the cream. Maybe they do a better job with the steaks. I'm kind of doubtful though given that almost everything else we ate was just kind of average. I expected more from a restaurant in a high quality hotel. Would it deter me from coming back? Not at all!

Yelp
Falconry is amazing. Stuart, our guide, went above and beyond to teach us about the birds and welcome us into the world of this phenomenal, fascinating antiquated sport. Highly recommend him for half day hunt. Thank you for making our stay at Gleneagles that much better!

Yelp
The Gleneagles Hotel is a magnificent 'French chateau' set amid gently rolling hills in the heart of Scotland. Established in 1924, the hotel was soon acclaimed 'the palace in the glens' and continues to attract those in search of rest, relaxation and exhilaration. SPORTS Outdoors, Gleneagles makes the most of its 850 acres: shooting, archery, fishing, dog hunting school, falconry, off-road driving and horse riding, as well as swimming in The Club's two indoor pools. Clay shooting was so much fun. The instructor was patient and provided hints on how to best follow the aim sight line. I did OK getting half of the hits. Be sure to wear the padding for the kick back to your shoulder. Archery was another fun sport. Can you tell I like to aim at things?!?! I hit one bulls eye! Falconry was amazing. The birds are so well trained that you feel at ease immediately. Pick a glove and stand parallel to the wooden stumps. The instructor will place the bird on your glove, gently swing your hand outwards and the bird will fly to the wooden stump. The instructor will then place a small bit of food on your glove - extend your arm, and the bird will fly back to you. Dogs school. So cute! The dogs are keen and have amazing hunting skills. They also sit still waiting for your order, then you toss the rubber duck, give the command to fetch, and the dogs will pounce and return with the catch. GOLF Three championship golf courses are among the very best in the world; The King's, The Queen's and The PGA Centenary. The practice green were just as nice. You can pitch and putt your swing into the evening, the sun didn't set until 9pm. Be sure to get a cart, those rolling hills are no joke. You will be sore if you carry your bags all day. SPA ESPA Life Spa was heavenly. I lost track of time and spent almost 4 hours without a care in the world. The waiting area is calm with a huge natural light oasis. The massage treatment was customized to fit your needs and you can pick from an array of scents. I melted away on the table. Afterwards, I entered the lounge where I snacked of fruit and tea... I also may have fallen asleep. Next I tried out everything else the spa had to offer - the steam room (where you can also select your scent) to the cold rainshower blast (with glowing lights changing with the water temp) to the jet pool and swan jet stream (the force of the water can move you off your feet). DINING Several restaurant to select from and you can find just about anything you desire. Being in Scotland, I had smoked salmon as much as possible and it was so good! Even a simple sandwich is a dance in your mouth. Overall the grounds at the hotel is the most stunning part -- the views here are picture perfect and the postcards really do come to life. Rolling green hills surround you and there is nothing like it in the world. If I could give it 10 stars, I would!

Yelp
Now then. This is what you call a Hotel. (Or even An'Otel) We were here for a wedding of a very dear friend. Wisely she left marriage late, as this meant that her poor old father had had the extra 20 years required to save up for the nuptial fund! Quite apart from the fact that Gleneagles is the home of Golf, it is also a pretty incredible spa hotel as well as a really great place to stay. An hour drive from Glasgow or Edinburg airport its really easy to get to, although not fantastically well signposted. So our experience of Gleneagles was 20 hours in utter luxury. From the private checkin, to the huge room overlooking the grounds at the rear of the main house (see the photos above), deserted TV room with massive flat screen TV to watch Olympic rowing and cycling, then pre wedding bar snacks, post wedding drinks then a brilliant evening of Cheers and Tears with friends and family new and old. Then a very late night/early morning in the bar (£££££££ouch!!!!!) , nowehere near enough shut eye, then good scottish breakfast before rushing out for a lunchtime flight. Nothing was too much effort, loads of staff everywhere with a smile and a nod, sorted a broken room key and the wrong room layout in a jiffy, located a missing item after checkout and forwarded it free of charge to us in Germany (it arrived before we did) So I didn't play Golf, nor do the spa, or shooting, or off road driving, or archery or falconing, or eat in the Michelin starred restaurant (however I did drunkenly burst in there in there while seeking the mens room from the ballroom next door!) or the art class or massage or just walk around the grounds. So I will save that for the next time.. I've been staying in hotels half my week for the last 10 years. My world favourite is Villa Del Sogno in Lake Garda, followed by Grand Hotel Rimini, but I have to say my experience at Gleneagles was not far off these two for enjoyment, service and sheer luxury plus unlike the two Italian places it really doesn't matter if the sun shines or not!! So really, Gleneagles lives up to it's rep as one of the World's great hotels. Yes, it costs quite a bit to stay there but really it's worth every penny.

Yelp
This place blew me away! I would give it 20* if possible. The minute we arrived we were greeted with exceptional service and then we got to our room and our jaws hit the floor. Gorgeous. We went for a nice swim in all 3 pools but the outdoor pool at night was breathtaking and very relaxing with all of the powerful jets. The restaurant was incredible and the beef risotto I had was just perfect. Breakfast is not to be missed. The only awful thing about Gleneagles was leaving. We both wanted to stay forever:-))

Yelp
THIS IS MY HOME!!!!!!!!! Okay, not really,.....but,.....I wish it were my home! I have been everywhere, from Johanissburg, to New Jersey,... and this place is my FAVORITE spot in the whole world!!!!!! Okay, NOT because I happen to be named after the country's beautiful flower, and, CERTAINLY NOT because I am Scottish, myself, but, because there are so many, wonderful, fabulous things to do there!!!!! I went skeet shooting with my favorite ex-husband, (And, NO! I did NOT shoot him!) I've seen to the Falconry School twice, and went "hawking," I have been swimming in the indoor/outdoor pool, (where you swim under a glass 1/2 door to get to the other side!) I have patronized their Spa, I have used our (U.S. private) helicopter to shuttle back and forth from a golf event in St. Andrews, from their private heliport , eaten at every restaurant there, and, finally, shopped in every shop on the grounds! Oh! And I played a really bad round of golf there, as well,....which kind of makes me an expert on the place! There is NO place in the world where you can do so many things, in such a short amount of time, feel relaxed, and NOT be on drugs! Their food is superb, whether you meet friends in the main dining room for a formal, traditional supper, or just want to grab a pizza (like I did!) after a spa session and dip in the pool.Only one hour from Edinburgh Airport, and located halfway between Edinburgh and Glascow, it makes the perfect vacation from your vacation in Europe! I would recommend stopping there LAST, as you will be able to unwind before your trip back to Hoboken!!!

My wife and I made our first trip to Scotland and Gleneagles was our first stop. We thoroughly enjoyed the resort and golf. I highly recommend including gleneagles in your future.
