"Italian food meats brag-worthy steak at celebrity chef Scott Conant’s the Americano, all in an extravagant, modern dining room. Pair a filet with the pasta al pomodoro, but don’t be afraid to ask your server about the specials; this spot offers unique gems, and the friendly staff is sure to steer you in the right direction. Trendy cocktails like the Versace on the Floor prepared with chili-infused vodka, coconut white balsamic, mesquite honey, and basil-olive oil foam are on hand to round out the meal." - Jamie Killin

An absolutely fantastic dining experience! The atmosphere is vibrant, energetic, and effortlessly stylish—perfect for a night out. Reservations are a must, as this place is clearly a hotspot. Convenient parking and valet service make arrival seamless. Our waiter was exceptional—genuinely enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. His recommendations truly enhanced our meal. Now, let’s talk about the food—simply outstanding. The filet was melt-in-your-mouth tender, cooked flawlessly to our preference. The shrimp cocktail, featuring six plump, ultra-fresh jumbo shrimp for $35, was well worth it. And the truffle mac & cheese? Absolute perfection—rich, gooey, and indulgent without being overpoweringly truffley. For the quality and experience, the price point is more than reasonable. I’m already looking forward to returning to explore their pasta dishes and try a new appetizer. Highly recommend!

Our server Gavin was so great! He was very friendly, professional and attentive. The food and cocktails were top notch! I especially enjoyed the oysters and tuna crudo, but the filet was also *chefs kiss* delicious! My favorite cocktail was the spicy vodka one with the meringue topping, but I can’t recall the name. And the caviar that came with my “She’s a Ten But…” was divine! After dinner we went downstairs to look into the hidden speakeasy at Tell Your Friends and it was SO COOL! We didn’t stay bc we were under dressed and wanted to come back and make a night of it. How did this little gem go unnoticed by me for so long? I really don’t know, but I’ll be back to try more of the menu!

Five stars is not enough for this exquisite restaurant. Some of the best service and some of the best prepared food and flavor for a classy restaurant in the area. The homemade bread fresh out of the oven melted in your mouth. The fresh prawns dipped in the sauce they provided was amazing. Everyone enjoyed the fresh cut fries. The volcano pork shank just fell off of the bone while it came served on top of a bed of creamy mashed potatoes. Cannot remember the name, but the two wash ranch half chicken came on a bed of sautéed mini potatoes, mushrooms, and onions with a flavor that was out of this world. Some of the sweetest and most flavorful cheesecake with caramel poured over the top was shared between friends.

We had an incredible experience at The Americano Restaurant in Scottsdale, AZ last Sunday. The food, service, and atmosphere were first class start to finish. Thank you Chef Beau Mac and our server Taylor for ensuring we had a spectacular evening. We started with a glass of champagne and appetizer meatballs and giant shrimp. The lobster risotto for 2 melted in your mouth. The fresh pasta was amazing. Topped it all off with a delicious dessert. We then headed downstairs to the speakeasy for a nightcap.

2 out 5 is fair - our waiter was just awful. Took over 45 minutes to receive our starters when there were only a couple of tables occupied. On ordering the main courses there was no mention of sides and made the wrong asumption that the fillet would be accompanied by at least fries (they weren't). 2 stars rather than 1, as the chap who seemed to the head waiter was very professional and was the only one to ask how our food was. Won't be back to eat, but the bar area looks decent.

Came for team dinner with our Director, and the ambiance was absolutely heavenly. I had a ribeye steak with scallops, which were a bit burnt on the sides. The seafood platter was excellent, featuring a variety of options like caviar, oysters, prawns and lobster. The salads were really good. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience

We were nervous about trying a new spot while visiting Scottsdale. Especially an upscale Italian Steakhouse. Stephen, our sweet server, put us at ease. He was helpful, kind and coursed our meal just right for sharing. This is an intimate type of restaurant but not stuffy. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner on a high top table in the dimly lit bar area. Lots of parking available surrounding the restaurant. Modern decor and very inviting inside. Here's what we ordered and we devoured it all unashamedly. Burrata w/Arugula Salad and Peaches - perfectly toasted bread and the creaminess of the burrata was heavenly. There was a sweet/tart fruit compote as well which paired nicely with the burrata. Pasta w/Wagyu Bolognese - Al dente house made tagliatelle tossed in a delightful tender sauce. So good! Asparagus - Our first option was broccolini but they ran out. The asparagus was yummy and seasoned. Ribeye - Grilled to our liking and sliced for easy sharing. Stephen suggested this. This steak was really tender. Beef is sourced from Nebraska. Birthday Dessert - Assortment of sorbet and gelato. We also ordered an affagato. We ate everything and enjoyed our dining experience. Definitely recommend this spot.

Google
Grant was amazing from the start. They were full for the night but was able to arrange some tables and take a reservation. Our service was first class and the food was phenomenal. We had the caviar, meatballs, and bone marrow for appetizers and I had the bolognese. PHENOMENAL.

Yelp
This is a late review. I came here in 2023 so some food items might not available any more. I thought it would be another restaurant with hip decor but food is mediocre. I was wrong in a good way. I love this place! The thing I love about this place the most is the ambiance. It's classy and quiet but not dull. This is the first restaurant that I found myself can enjoy the lovely food while still have a conversation without yelling at each other. The food is absolutely delicious. The bolognese is scrumptious and really comforting with perfect al dente. The seasonal grill veggies (mushroom and carrots) were full of flavour (sweet, a bit of smoky from the grilling and). Octopus was fresh and perfectly cooked. I came back for the weekend brunch and I ordered the pastries basket. The croissant is not mind blowing but still pretty decent and buttery. Overall, I really enjoy dining here and I definitely be back.

Yelp
Started out with the oysters, which were solid. The chopped Caesar salad was just so so. Nice portion, but wasn't great. The lamb pappardele fantastic. The lamb was so flavorful. The pasta was made just perfectly. My spouse loved her tagliatelle wagu. Our service was spot on. Nothing was ever lacking. My only complaints were that The wine pours were pathetically small for near $30 a glass. Also, after placing our order, we received the salad before the oysters came out. Most restaurants typically give you your appetizer before the salad.

Yelp
Horrid - begging you... please, do not attend. This place has been going downhill since the day they opened, and after a string of bad experiences and "second" chances, this last experience was the end. Notably: 1. Literally the worst service I have ever encountered, hands down. Our server could not even be bothered to grab our daughter a Sprite refill despite having almost no other tables.. obviously as the place is a ghost town these days. I think I might know why. 2. Food? Inedible across the board. Husband ordered pasta which was about a .2 oz serving and gloppy/overcooked. I took a chance on the roasted Clams - fail. Half of the shells actually had clams and those that did had the saddest, most emaciated "clams" I have ever seen. Lest we forget the "sausage" in the dish which was two burnt meatballs.. I think meatballs? Daughter ordered steak frites which was passable but probably not fit for our dog. Thank God she's 9 and thought it was "ok," in her words. We tried to start with burrata but even that was not even remotely passable and came with a side of burnt bread.. Chef's kiss? 3. Again with the service.. ordered a "family side" and brought zero plates. Ordered a clam dish with no vessel to place shells. When we finally flagged down the manager to ask for these items, he was very put out and finally came back to say he had no bowls, but here is a random assortment of plates, and slammed them down in front of us. Not exactly Mr. Personality. Not that we really got to know our waiter as we saw him 3.7 tmes though, again, the entire restaurant was empty. 4. Pricing - ARE YOU KIDDING? The most overpriced garbage I have ever had in my life. Small portions, absolutely disgusting food... And while we are on this topic.. I ordered the most trash, warm Pinot Grigio (unbeknownst at the time of ordering, to my credit) off of the HH menu and was eventually charged $18 PER GLASS for a warm half pour. Nope. I can't wait for this place to close down so that we can try what takes its place. Again, this is following a string of horrible means with horrible service. No. Thank. You.

Yelp
American-NO. We ordered our steak medium rare and it came out rarer than an inside the park home run. The scallops tasted like they marinated in the Dead Sea for 97 days before being served to me; saltier than a bag of salt. Mind you, the waiter highly recommended this dish. When I sent the scallops back I asked for meatballs instead. Not surprisingly the meatballs served tasted like they were microwaved leftovers from the day before. For 5 people to pay $850 for that dinner is an atrocity. I feel bad for my friends who pretended to enjoy the meal because they didn't want to admit it was a waste of money. They deserve better than this, like Panda Express which was right down the street. I lowly recommend this restaurant, and it was a terrible way to end an incredible 4 nights in Scottsdale. But at least the charcuterie board was decent.

Yelp
So we showed up to The Americano on a Friday night, just walk ins hoping to grab a small bite and drink before our movie started. We tried to get a seat at the bar but they were full. Coincidentally as we were leaving the manager Kevin walked by and had noticed that we walked in and were leaving so soon. He said he could get a table for us that would allow us enough time to eat and get to our movie on time. I didn't take any photos of our food unfortunately but everything we had was delicious! I got their unique drink called Versace on the floor, we had their hamachi crudo which was great quality. Melt in your mouth! We also got the caviar fries, bone marrow and oysters. All superb quality! The ambience is a fun, sophisticated atmosphere at the bar so this would make an excellent happy hour spot or date night. After we left we got in our car from the valet and no joke...the manager left us this gift card to the movie theater! Mind blown. Thank you Kevin, you are legit and we love the restaurant. We'll be back!

Yelp
The staff, the ambience, the white glove service and delicious food were all WONDERFUL!!! Thank you for making our 1-year wedding anniversary amazing!!!

Yelp
I love Mora in downtown Phoenix but it's quite a drive for us so I was happy when they opened up this sister restaurant in Scottsdale. The ambience has a masculine feel with dark hues and gold tones. Service was good but very slow. As for the food, the hubby and I chose their pasta dish: the famous Pasta Pomodor and the Wagyu Tagliatelle. Both were fantastic. We also ordered the Focaccia as appetizer and it was ok; we wouldn't order it again. I think Etta has better Focaccia bread. We also tried their Banana Black Sesame dessert. It's basically banana mousse encased in dark chocolate shell. The chocolate shell was too think in my opinion but I would order it again. Another fyi, the charge soda by the glass and its $5/glass.

Ashley T.

Yelp
I used to go to the Americano all the time. I am extraordinarily disappointed with the decrease in quality over the past few years since it opened. I was so excited, because Moro is so far from our house. We are Uber foodies, and my kids are a big pasta fans, so this was a popular destination for a little while. The service is always reasonable. I felt like our waiter. Tonight was his usual self. He's waited on us several times, and although I don't expect to be recognized by wait stuff, he seemed a bit flustered by how busy the restaurant was. Yes, it was Friday and yes the restaurant was full. I feel that the biggest reason I have not been here in a while, was the lack of variety on the menu. I received an email from the restaurant saying that they hadn't seen me in a while and reminding me that maybe we should go back. This specific email mentions new, seasonal changes to the menu. I found that the menu was very unchanged from prior iterations. In addition to the menu, being pretty similar, the couple of things that were new were out of stock, including veal, ravioli, and Doppio. Previously, they had small changes to the bar menu, which I enjoyed some more, none of which were lasting. I realize that this restaurant in particular caters to the older, retired crowd, as well as the out of towners, looking for steak and pasta. That being said, I suppose that I feel that there should be more variety and inventiveness from somebody who has been on the Food Network for a long time. Very disappointing because I had enjoyed going here for a while. I can't say that I'll be coming back anytime soon.

Yelp
The Americano is pretty swanky and sexy. It feels like a restaurant in Chelsea, NY. Their private rooms seem great for taking your clients out for a meal and there is so much space that it seems you don't even need a reservation. For food, we got the burrata to start, which was very good. It comes with some deli ham, which I didn't enjoy. It was so tough and too salty for me. For entrees, I got the ravioli, which was outstanding in taste, but so small in portion that I was still hungry unfortunately. My husband got the half-chicken, which was meh. It didn't fill him up, either. They don't even bring bread so we had nothing to fill us up. For the price point, I wish the portion was reasonable. Dessert time, we ordered the carrot cake, which comes with saffron gelato. Even though it's about three bites, it was probably the best thing we got. The gelato was delicious.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour and it was great! Loved everything we ordered. I will say the oysters were on the smaller side. Will definitely be coming back to check out their underground bar/speakeasy.

Yelp
Ambiance, service and food are exceptional! My wife and I went there to celebrate a family milestone. We especially enjoyed the upscale atmosphere and fresh seafood options.

Yelp
Date Night! Was very excited to try Chef Scott Conant's restaurant as I'm a huge fan of his TV work. The restaurant itself was very swank and hip. We had seats in the bar and they had plenty of drink options for the adventurous. Our server was very attentive and accommodating. Appetizers of Buratta and Caesar Salad led to an amazing Filet for me and a lobster pasta for my wife. Dessert was hard to choose but the Cocoa Banana was delicious. I knew it was gonna cost a little bit but didn't expect to need a loan! I kid it was a great experience!

Yelp
My friend and I dined in the bar at a hightop. Our reservation was at 6:15 and the hostesses were very welcoming and nice. We had a great server and we ordered cocktails but it took about 15-20 minutes for them to arrive. When I got mine, I got a French 75 instead of the French martini that I had ordered, but the server fixed that. We had a chopped up wedge salad that we shared that the kitchen split for us and then we each ordered the Wagyu beef cheeks for the entrée. Then we went downstairs and checked out the speakeasy which was quite lovely, beautiful, etc., but we didn't have a reservation so we were moved twice while seated at the bar to accommodate for other peoples reservations. It's understandable but I It was just a little weird. For example the first time we were seated at the bar, there was two open seats next to us and about 10 seconds after we received our drinks we were asked to move literally two seats down. Then a little while later, someone came and said that they made a mistake and actually we need to move to these other two open seats at the bar. I guess to clear up four seats for a reservation. The speakeasy was absolutely gorgeous and I would love to hang out there again. One thing of note they have one 'by the glass' Chardonnay on the menu and it is $31 a glass. My other feedback if the restaurant is looking at this was to turn down the volume on the band just a touch. The band was wonderful. The music was great. The singer was lovely, but it was just a little too loud. We kinda had to shout to have a conversation even though we were sitting right next to each other at the bar.

Jenifer R.

Yelp
I would give this place a five star review... But on a Thursday night at the bar service was extremely slow. It was not our bartenders fault - seems like the kitchen was a little behind. I can tell you that if you are looking for an amazing place to have dinner, this is where you want to go. The polenta is out of this world and I highly recommend it. I don't know what they do to it but I wanted to order a gallon of it to go. Also, the ribeye was absolutely perfect and it melted in your mouth. Perfect amount to share with someone. The Bolognese pasta was out of this world, and again, if we could've taken 4 pounds of that home we would've been extremely happy and I highly suggest coming here.

Yelp
Our go-to-place for special occasion dining or when we want the best! The ambiance, service, cocktails and menu are amazing! No wonder this place gets booked up especially during peak season!

Haley D.

Yelp
Let me just start with the Hamachi Crudo BLEW my mind. Please come here just to they this! The combo of flavors works so well together and the fish is so tender. We came here for our anniversary on a Sunday at 5pm and it was just opening and it was not busy at all. As we ate it got busier so I would say come before 6 to skip crowds. The place is decorated beautifully and has a great vibe. The wait staff is so professional and very nice. Our food and drinks both came out promptly which we love. The food was a show stopper. The duck breast was paired with a delicious huckleberry Jus which complimented it so well. The TAGLIATELLE WAGYU BOLOGNESE has so much flavor and I almost wanted to steal it away from my boyfriend. And the unique twist of flavors on the carrot cake was wild. I have never tasted anything like it. We don't often return places but we will be back here!

candice r.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, great service & cocktails. The only reason for the 4 stars is that while the presentation of everything is excellent I found the taste a bit underwhelming.

Kristen S.

Yelp
Wish I could go back and try this out over and over again. I could sip on the "Versace on the floor" cocktail for the rest of my life and be content.

Michele G.

Yelp
My husband and I were able to snag a reservation on a Saturday evening for a high top table on our a date night. Located in north Scottsdale this restaurant sits in a small plaza. All the close parking lot spots are designated complimentary valet, so be sure to bring a few extra dollars to tip! Inside it's got a sophisticated ambiance with mood lighting and an open concept kitchen that you can view from the main dining room. In the high top dining room they had TVs over the bar and we're playing a movie I could view from my seat. We ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer which I prefer my calamari super thinly sliced and lightly battered but the larger pieces in this dish were tasty too. Online I viewed a picture of the mint ricotta doppio and although this isn't something I would normally order it looked so unique and light that I knew I had to try it. It was delicious and a great portion! My husband ordered the Trenette All'Aragosta with lobster, chili butter and and pesto which was great. Finally they surprised us with a complimentary mini cheesecake dessert that was tasty. Would love to dine in the main dining room one day and try out a few more of their dishes in the future!

Yelp
Service was spot on. Each person who stopped at our table to inquire was charming. We will enthusiastically return. It is a beautiful restaurant and wonderful for any occasion or none. Last but certainly not least; the food was Amazing. Lobster salad, Salmon tartare w/ squid ink lavosh ( a bit too salted for my liking on the cracker) the all time fav was the short rib braised ravioli, it was truly divine. For the B day celebration we were overwhelmed and delighted by the 3 desserts that just completed the evening's palette pleasers. My son thanked me and commented, "this was the best meal he's had in a long time". The 2 cocktails were nice but the bartenders choice of blood orange margarita was best. Overall - Wow, wow, wow!

Bri F.

Yelp
Finally tried the americano after like 4 years, I don't know why it took us so long to go here, but I wish we had come sooner! Their drinks are so unique and so scottsdale. Their food was super yummy, and the ambiance and service were great! Can't wait to try it again!

Adam G.

Yelp
Another average Scottsdale restaurant but this one has exorbitant prices. Couple pasta dishes are pretty good no question and the meatball appetizer is excellent. But... The salmon is unbelievably small with no flavor and then the night we were there overcooked the pasta dish very good was so small and for $38 given the price of pasta it ridiculous. The chicken again bland no real taste. Our Then there is $16 or carrot cake that was like someone who was on a diet who just wanted a taste. And of course the $10 for half a scoop of vanilla ice cream was fun. Overall couple highlight dishes, but extremely small portions, and some dishes were just bad. Won't be visiting again.

Pooja B.

Yelp
Okay, so I am so torn with this review. The staff is AMAZING the service is AMAZING. I want to thank Asia, Megan, and Taylor. you cannot ask for any better. They go above and beyond as far as customer service. I have been wanting to come here forever. I met Scott Conant and was like I have to go because he is brilliant. So I used Mother's Day as an excuse and took my mom with me. She hates Italian food so my mistake but we ordered as appetizers the salmon crudo and salumi charcuterie plate. Delicious so dinner had to be great as well. We also ordered a mocktail of the lychee martini and it was straight lemon and mint no lychee it was so sour. Unfortunately not maybe the chef was having a bad day. We ordered the delicious bone marrow but it was overtaken by the grilled onions and the chili jam, then we ordered the meatballs and it just fell short. It had an odd flavor and was not what I was expecting. It left a bad taste in my mouth and it was a meatball. Trader Joe's meatballs are better, especially for the price. I was disappointed. I hyped this place in my mind and it just didn't match. Overall a great experience and I can finally say I went to the Americano.

Eric C.

Yelp
Here on a business trip. We decided to go here for dinner. The restaurant is ran by Chef Scott Conant how comes out to the table to talk with you. The operation of how the kitchen functions is a playbook for how an A plus kitchen should be ran. The have an amazing cocktail menu with a decent selection of bourbon. The meal I had was a filet mignon. I've only had on filet mignon in my life that tasted as good as this one. It was one of the most delicious pieces of meat I've ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. Highly recommend!

Lina L.

Yelp
Loved my dinner and experience here! The ambience is just lovely and swanky and very high class. Everything is top notch as you would expect Scott Conant's restaurant to be. The food is amazing too:) Also very cool that Scott takes the time to talk to the customers. I will be back for a special occasion! Totally worth it.

Lola S.

Yelp
Have you ever had a meal that had amazing flavors all coming together on one plate? That is what you will find at the Americano. Atmosphere is wonderful we had to degree time we failed to take photos. Our server, Isaac was very attentive. We had scallops and salmon, dinner salads, and of course we tried the sorbet, carrot, cake, and chocolate brownie. I would certainly return.

Steven G.

Yelp
Still maybe my favorite dining experience in Scottsdale. The staff is so so so very good at their jobs. It seemed we had a different person dedicated to each task and that task was their whole focus. The pasta Pomodoro is the menu staple and is exceedingly excellent such that we ordered it to share in addition to our other mains. The staff read our reservation notes, commented on it and made sure to make the evening special. I can't compliment them enough.

David H.

Yelp
First time here and not sure why I've never been before but it was awesome. I went alone and sat at the bar it was awesome. Jacklyn pretty much took care of me the whole time but others around helped too. Let's talk about service first. Perfection. I barely even sat down and was offered a water. They were all so attentive. It was unreal. All while making drinks and working the entire bar. It was impressive to see the efficiency and work they were putting in. Jacklyn made some good recommendations and chatted about what choices to make. All were fantastic. Let's talk briefly about how incredibly fast the food came out. I thought I was going to be there for a while and I really couldn't believe it and they were pretty packed. I started off with the hamachi crudo. I try crudo pretty much anywhere that offers it. It was in the top 3 hands down if not the top 2. Next were the oysters and for some odd reason out of the hundreds of oysters I've had these were also amazing. Not sure if it was the mignonette or what but they were great as well. Next and final was veal parm and I would typically get steak but I'm glad I got this. It was huge. Lightly breaded the burrata and tomatoes with the basil, another awesome dish. Overall the inside and ambiance of the entire place was great. My type of decor and atmosphere. From the bar to the rest of the restaurant everything was clean new and done right. I'll definitely be back for sure to try the pastas and hope o get the same or better experience. Great stuff.

Ingrid G.

Yelp
Tried this place for the husbands birthday and it did not disappoint. First they placed us inside a very quiet & intimate room for our party. I loved that we had our own section. That's always a plus. It was very clean & very comfortable. We ordered quite a bit since we were a larger party and got to try all the appetizers & drinks. Everything was delicious, but what stood out the most was their braised short rib & bone marrow ravioli. Yes, we ordered pastas as appetizers. Truly delicious & perfect to share. Husband ordered their wagyu steak & I ordered the filet mignon. Both cooked to perfection with a warm pink in the middle. Went perfect with their mashed potatoes & sides. Drinks were also great & not watered down. Truly enjoyed the experience as did our family & friends.

Janelle T.

Yelp
I am such a fan girl of Scott Conant. I was so excited to come to his restaurant on a recent trip to Arizona. The restaurant is beautiful. So much eclectic artwork and every detail was thought out. The staff is so attentive and helpful when navigating the menu. Of course it's pricey but you get what you pay for. I wish I had taken pictures.

Caitlin B.

Yelp
I'm not going to say it's bad, because it's not. But it's just kinda lack luster. Hubby's opinion was "it's like Flemings. It's an entry level to fine dining." The chef loves to garnish with chives and shallots so a lot of the dishes end up with a very similar flavor profile. The short rib + bone marrow caramelli was very tasty, as was the potato puree...but they tasted the same. The dry aged rib eye was fine, but lacked the flavorful fatty pieces. They also cook their steaks on an open fire so if you're not a fan of that smoky taste, this won't be the steak for you. The broccolini has good flavor (again, the shallots), but could have used about 2 more min for a proper al dente. The best part of the meal were the oysters (even though the server brought out creamy horseradish when we asked for some...the other server quickly corrected it though). If you're someone who likes to try different nice restaurants, sure, give it a shot but don't expect it to be the best one in the valley. If you're someone trying to have a very rare, special dinner, there are many more places I would choose before this.

Jess A.

Yelp
Bella is the best bartender I've been had! Service is always immaculate and they are lucky to have her. The rest of the team is great as well. Amazing drinks and food!

Dwayne O.

Yelp
The Americano Restaurant Open kitchen Nice Vibe music at nice volume where you can actually talk and hear each other Sat in a semi circular booth, lighting was very dim, could barely see anything. First time here so we decided to eat family style and share to get to try a little bit of each dish. Started with the Braised Wagyu Beef Cheeks which was a nice tasty starter. 45oz Tomahawk Steak split between the 3 of us. Was a generous cut of beef, tender and juicy. Yes get it! Trenette all' Aragosta house made hand cut trenette with Lobster and pickled ramp pesto which was an excellent dish to complement the tomahawk steak. Mushrooms to add to the tomahawk were large and delicious. Potato Puree was like a mashed potatoes and prepared nicely. Waiter was very generous and comped us the Charred Broccolini, Italian Fries and a Cheesecake Birthday Dessert We also ordered the Forbidden Apple dessert. Dessert that looks like an apple, was delicious Our server was James was above beyond taking care of us, thank you for the nice experience

Jamie A.

Yelp
My husband and I did a foodies tour through Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Las Vegas, Tahoe and Oregon. We watch food network quite a bit and have wanted to check out Scott Conant's restaurant and it did not disappoint! 10 out of 10 would recommend. Service was on point for a restaurant like this. Every dish other than one dessert was on point taste and presentation wise. Hamachi crudo was yum! Loved the avocado and Calabrian chile components. We also really like the salt and pepper grotto misto, but it was a large portion. The lobster trenette was sooo good. It also had a spicy Calabrian chile component that hit the spot. My husband had the braised short rib and bone marrow ravioli. Just yum! Beet salad was also a must! The cheese with it, I could eat by itself! For dessert we had the salted Carmel budino. It was like velvet. Every part or it was delish! My only slight disappointment was our other dessert. The black sesame cocoa banana. The dark chocolate coated banana cremeux had a too thick chocolate coating that was overwhelming. Couldn't taste the banana cremeux and it was hard to break the chocolate to get to the interior. I ended up pushing quite a bit of the chocolate to the side. Also didn't know if the sesame paired well for my taste.

Yelp
The Pomodoro is an absolute must - divine and just as superb at Mora. Dry Aged Ribeye is a standout; paired with their Horseradish Crema! Yet to try the Caviar Fries, but they're on my radar for next time. For a refined dining experience, The Americano sets the stage for a fantastic evening with its delicious offerings and inviting ambiance.

Yelp
Took my fiancé here for his birthday dinner and we had a nice time! Very clean and sleek ambiance. We ordered: - Calamari: The calamari probably looks like other calamari, but it was probably one of the best ones I've had because there were so many different things within it. There was squid and shrimp, but there were also blistered peppers(?) or something else in the dish that tasted went so well with the seafood. Also, when you got a bit of rosemary with the calamari, it totally changed the taste. So fun and interesting to eat! - Special cut of steak: I don't remember what the special was called, but the crust on this steak was extremely flavorful! -Trenette with lobster: The pasta was so good. The cook of the pasta was perfect and all the flavors were so tasty all together. - Peas & Thank You cocktail: Extremely light and refreshing!

Yelp
On January 3rd, we had dinner at Americano with our family and the tab was over $600 with tip, which is not the issue. The issue was the service was not worthy of a $600 tab. Drink orders were very slow in coming and one didn't come until we inquired several times. We ordered three appetizers and one was delivered during dinner. Three of our group wanted the flat iron steak that is featured on their menu. We were told they were out of these. We ordered a bottle of wine and the server never returned to refill our glasses from the cooling stand next to the table. We had to do this ourselves. Lastly, we ordered gelato for dessert and half of it was melted when it arrived at the table. I wrote to the restaurant on January 7th as that I think it's only fair that they be notified prior to publicly posting a review but have never had a response.

Yelp
Flew in for the weekend to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. She ordered the steak and I ordered the duck, both were excellent. The staff were very attentive throughout the restaurant, we started at the bar with drinks and then moved to our table for dinner. Highly recommend Americano!!

Yelp
Ambience was beautiful, Very stylish decor, sexy vibe. Server was amazing, food was super salted, to the point where you could not taste the actual food, not sure we will go back for the price point ..

Yelp
In town on business and a huge Food Network fan so found out Scott Conant owns this place. I say I'm the bar for there happy hour menu which is perfect for me being from CST and visiting PST. Really great and engaging bar staff. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We went to Americano for our anniversary. The decor on the inside is pretty elegant with a vibrant atmosphere and we sat in the dining room area. We ordered the focaccia, half dozen oysters, and off menu king crab legs which were one of the best in town. For entrées, we order the tagliatelle Wagyu bolognese and New York strip with truffle jus sauce which were both incredible with a fantastic Italian red wine bottle. I recommend doing a pasta and steak combo to get the full experience here. The service was fantastic and they really make sure to pay attention to all of your needs. My only advice is to come here if you're planning a special occasion or date night as the prices are a bit expensive for an average dinner. Overall, I recommend this place for those searching for a great dinner experience in North Scottsdale!

Yelp
The food and the service were terrific. As well as the layout and design of the inside of the restaurant. However, it is overpriced. We ordered two sodas, one glass of wine, three salads, two pastas, and one steak for $274. That was not the largest sized steak or a top-tier wine either. As mentioned, our server was very polite and did a great job, but there was also a 55 minute delay in between our appetizers and our entrées coming out. Our server did apologize but nothing was comped. Personally, I started off with the Beet Salad, and it was great in flavor although pretty small in portion. For my entrée, I chose the Braised Short Rib and Bone Marrow Ravioli and it was actually really good. It was a healthy sized portion and had a wonderful flavor. Overall I would recommend and had a great time aside from the pricing issue and delay from the kitchen. It would be good for any occasion, although for a very large group I feel it would be overly expensive.

Yelp
Another fantastic night at a Scott Conant joint. Frito Misto, hamachi Crudo, his famous Pomodoro with the surprise of some chili flake. What a fantastic meal. Appreciate the work of Megan and Terry behind the bar with interesting pairings beyond simple go white or red for the food choices. Can. Not. Go. Wrong. Choosing a visit to the Americano.

Yelp
A new trendy place. Super fun to hang out in the bar or celebrate a special event in the formal dining room. The food was delicious! Our table ordered the focaccia bread (not complimentary), the salt and pepper fritto (deep fried rock shrimp, squid, and peppers), short rib ravioli, steak with Cesar salad, trenette all'arogasa (special), and huckleberry and corn dessert. All the food dead delicous, but all of the white wines offered to us tasted old and just "off." When I looked, the wines were all being chilled in metal container vs. a wine fridge. Also, despite none of us getting wine, 3 glasses were erroneously added to my bill! Lastly, 5 stars to the maestro bartender Art. He made a very speciality gin fizz drink for my guest ( requires about 10 mins of shaking he told us) and it was beautiful and delcious! Lastly, they have a great happy hour in the bar and lounge area! I hope I can return! PRO PARENT TIP: Not a restaurant geared for kiddos. Get a sitter and enjoy a night with friends or a loved one.

Yelp
Americano We heard some really good things about the signature cocktails, so we had to go. My husband ordered the Versace on the floor, after we had waited 15 minutes to get served. Took him about 7 minutes to make it. It was amazing. We waited for him to take the rest of our orders, even though we could see the bartender it was like he disappeared, finally after 12 minutes he took our order, didn't come back, 15 later we got our drinks by that time I was ready to put $20 on the bar and walk out. He seemed, grouchy, non engaging, not a good experience, he spoke to no one. Although my husbands drink was good and a work of art, I will pr not give this another chance! NOT EVEN A THOUGH ABOUT RETURNING!

Yelp
8PM reservation on a Saturday night. We arrived a half hour early and staff was able to accommodate us. Been here several times over the last few years, and while last night's experience wasn't as meticulous as previous visits, everything was still great overall and we did not regret celebrating our anniversary here. I attribute what seemed like a possible staffing shortage to attribute for a few minor critiques to hone in on. All-in-all, still a great place for a date night or to celebrate a special occasion! Good: - They are spot on when it comes to temperature. I ordered a 14oz NY steak and while it came out a perfect medium to medium rare as I requested. - Atmosphere was great and patrons all seemed to be having a good time...the vibe was strong. - With so many cocktails to choose from, the "Versace on the floor" is a good first drink to set the tone. - Every time we have eaten here, the Manager comes by to check on us, even when everything is perfect. I appreciate the proactiveness. Bad: - While the service wasn't bad, the waiter, knowing we were there to celebrate an anniversary, still kind of made us feel rushed (our total experience from the time we arrived to the time we left was 2h, 10m). He wasn't rude or anything, just kind of short and to the point. Seeing the restaurant was busy, one of the Managers jumped in to help with the tables. Unfortunately, he forgot to bring out a drink I ordered and only received it after circling back with our waiter. - While the potato puree, chicken jus and crispy shallot side tasted good, the potatoes were pureed for too long as they had a gummy consistency. We've had these in the past, so we know it wasn't their best work or rushed. Ugly: - None. Suggestions: - Give people the option to box-up their own food. I appreciate the waitstaff going the extra mile to box up our food, but we almost left without realizing our waiter forgot to give us the appetizer we had him box up at the beginning. We caught the miss, so all was good. Additionally, I feel that when they box up the food, some of the food doesn't make it into the container as I like to collect all the sauces and sides (scrape the walls of the plate/bowl). Finally, in a COVID/post COVID world, some people would just rather box it up themselves. - When the waiter goes over the the daily "off menu" specials, it would be helpful if he said the cost, so the customer can make an informed decision and doesn't sound like a cheapskate when asking the waiter "how much?." Tips: - Be warned there are no refills on sodas. An 8oz bottle of Coca Cola (the mini ones) costs $5 bucks a pop!

Yelp
We ate there for my mother's birthday on a Tuesday night. When we arrived (with a reservation), we were taken right to our table - no "please wait at the bar while we get your table ready" like other restaurants of this type try to pull. We started with the Fritto Misto - absolutely delicious. It was a combination of shrimp, calamari, cherry peppers and green onions. Never thought fried green onions could be so good. For the main course, we decided to try three different pastas and share them. Two were delicious - the Tagliatelle Bolognese and the Agnolotti del plin. The former came with a delicious "fonduta" in a small pitcher that you could pour over the pasta. Even without this, it was still one of the best Bolognese's I've ever eaten (and I've had it in Bologna). The agnolotti was even more delicious. It was very rich, so a third portion was perfect. A full portion might have been a little much, but I will take that chance next time I'm there. ;) The lowlight of the meal was the Trenette all'Aragosta. Pasta with lobster and Calabrian chili butter. Unfortunately, the final ingredient overpowered the dish and made it very one note - not what I would expect from someone of Conant's caliber. The dessert got mixed reviews. The birthday girl got vanilla gelato with chocolate sauce and she loved it. The other two of us had the caramel budino (which I have had at Conant's other restaurant, Mora) and absolutely loved it. It has sweetness, paired with a slight bitterness of the caramel and crunchiness of the popcorn. A great dish. The other member of the group, however, thought it was cloyingly sweet. So, I guess if you have a sweet tooth - get it. Otherwise, get something else. All in all, I look forward to returning.

Yelp
By far- the BEST restaurant and food I've had in quite a while. We started off with happy hour at the bar and ordered delicious drinks along with Mac and cheese, fries, and the lobster salad. All fantastic. After we sat- we had many more delicious drinks but also tried the focaccia, beet salad, and bone marrow for starters. The bone marrow was amazing, with delicious jam, pickled onions and herbs on top. My favorite bone marrow dish so far. I got the ribeye which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I am a steak snob and find most restaurants either over cook or under salt or both and this was neither. It was perfect along with the sauce flight. I also ordered the potato puree which I have not stopped thinking about since. I have recommended this restaurant to everyone since I've gone and cannot wait to return. I have gotten quite snobby over the years with food and find it harder to be satisfied with quality and this exceeded all my expectations. Scott Conant's reputation is properly represented with this restaurant.

Yelp
This delightful restaurant offers a great menu and outstanding service ( thank you Taylor). My husbands veal chop he said was the best ever. Served pounded thin and Parmesan crusted. It was accompanied by tomatoes freshly cooked into a sauce and a soft cheese (unusual and an acquired taste). Duck was offered, but I decided finally to taste a simple pasta with bolognese sauce. Take my word for it if there is a problem with a meal the staff are ALL ABOUT correcting the problem immediately and magnificently!!! Management is hands on but allowing the servers to make decisions. We highly recommend this great restaurant. Food ,service, ambience, lovely decor and a delightful experience. BTW the bar is GREAT!
