Just last Friday, I had the opportunity of trying Ampang Kitchen. The dishes are exquisite and really delicious. First dish we had was Satay Bohong, a pork satay that is served without a dip, the pork was so nicely charred on the outside and the fats on the side gives a nice chew. Next, Bakwan Kepiting, a soup with meat balls made from pork and prawn, there is also bamboo shoots in the soup that is so rich in prawns, chicken and pork, a soup that packs many more punches than a regular prawn soup. The Char Siew was also very very good, I personally like it more burnt but it is already extremely good. The most memorable dish for me, had to be Pork Cinchaluk, the sauce and the shallots made the fatty pork so enjoyable that I lost count of the number of pieces I ate. Buah Keluak Fried Rice was again something different and the rest of my friends could not stop complimenting the dish. The wonderful dinner ended with Chendol that was made from scratch. If you are looking for a night to meet up with friends over good food to also talk about and a memorable experience, this is one place to visit.
