What a find! Located in East Nashville, we ventured into the Amsterdamian unsure of what our experience would be. It’s a discrete entrance in a small building next to a pizza shop. When you walk in you’re transported into another world! This little cocktail lounge has a super chill vibe with the bar giving subtle shoutouts to one of my favorite cities, Amsterdam ♥️ There’s cute little couches and chairs to have some nice convo with friends and those you love all while sipping some amazing cocktails!! I got the What’s My Sage Again which was super refreshing herbaceous and citrusy with gin, sage, peach 🍑 and lime 🍋‍🟩 It was an absolute dream! CL got Amalfitano, a citrusy gin old fashioned 🥃 The cocktails.. on point! Absolutely recommend this place. The bartender was great and matched the vibe. I wish we had gotten his name but we were so impressed with the little gem we were sitting in we didn’t make much small talk other than drink recommendations. They also have a few mocktails and snacks available. We were headed to dinner for our next stop so we didn’t try anything but we definitely recommend this place if you are looking for some good cocktails in the area! IG- Lentz_Explore

I’m a local and recommend this cute cocktail joint to anyone in East. They have a jamming playlist at all times, and the drinks are superb! The vibe in the intimate venue is perfect for a date or with your crew - cannot recommend enough. Love the menu and the owner is so genuine. Expect great and tailored service. You won’t regret stopping in here. It is curated in the best possible way and super intimate. Nash needs more places like this.

Holly is the best! Everything she made was very tasty, she was extremely nice and lovely and made us feel very welcome. It’s super chill and really nice inside. You can make reservations which is super cool. I highly recommend this place if you like chill European vibes. Get the Midnight in Hollywood drink!!

Have been here several times and every time it just hits the spot! Looking for a fun- yet chill (and not too loud) vibe? Love the BEST cocktails in town? Then you found the right place with Amsterdamian! Truly, every cocktail I have had has been so unique and utterly delicious it makes me dream about having one again. Only negative- if you are only wanting one drink, just go ahead and have the white flag because you can’t, not have just one! Both the owner and everyone who works here is absolutely pleasant and passionate about giving you the best drinks, food and experience. Could not recommend this place more!

Loved the vibe of this quaint new addition to the east Nash’s cocktail lounge scene! Don’t go by the surroundings, it’s very cute inside. Absolutely loved the cocktail “What’s my Sage again?” It’s a beautiful concoction of gin, sage syrup, peach purée served up in coupe garnished with a sage leaf 🍃. Loved the simplicity of the presentation. There aren’t many booths inside, 4-5 two-seaters and 2 bigger booths apart from the bar seating. We were able to find a booth easily for our party. The bathroom is very nice, there’s only one inside for all genders. There’s also a fresh popcorn machine, with a few seasonings there for self-serve. I’ll definitely be visiting again! Loved my experience there.

Such an amazing place! Owner/bartender was SO nice. I came in by myself but I didn’t feel bad about it for a second! Incredible drinks. Creative and delicious - can’t imagine a better combination :) Best Nashville bar I’ve visited and I will 100% be back with everyone I can manage to bring because I truly feel bad for people who haven’t been here yet. If I could give 6 stars I would. Thanks for a wonderful Friday night!

This bar is nice and laid back. It's regular decor is very pretty and they really did a great job decorating for Halloween!

Had a couple of great drinks and conversation with the owner. Learned a lot about unique spirits and loved the atmosphere. Great to support a local business and owner passionate about cocktails and providing a warm and welcoming space as a quiet haven in Nashville! Highly recommend this place and will be coming back when we’re back in the area!

So as a single girl in a new city I have been falling into the comfortable slump of staying home on the weekends tucked in bed with a good book in hand. In the spirit of getting out and making an effort to explore my new city I decided to find a place to go and enjoy a solo date night and grab a fancy drink. You know the vibes a Carrie Bradshaw moment but make it Nashville style. I found this place via instagram and read all the great reviews and decided to get out and try it. A cozy place tucked and hidden in the heart of east Nashville. It is somewhat hidden with a small parking area but I was fortunate enough to get parking right in front. I walked in and the decor is pops of red and black mixed with gold. The light is dim so it's a perfect date night spot or place to meet and have an intimate small group gathering. It wasn't busy and I enjoyed that there wasn't too many people. The vibes are relaxed and I was greeted right away. Checking out the menu I decided on a spicy margarita concoction with tajin. The bartender brought it out and it was the perfect blend of flavor, spice and alcohol. It was refreshing and sweet/spicy. Perfect. This place is the perfect solo date night spot or date spot with your special someone or catch up sessions with friends. I enjoyed sitting, sipping and writing this review. Solo dates can be daunting and being in a new city can be daunting as well but finding hidden gems like this make it worth while. There's a quote that I love and that's "if you never go you'll never know." Don't let this be a place youll never know... head to your date with this place. Head to Amsterdamian.

Fun, casual bar with a decent craft cocktail game hidden in an East Nashville strip mall. This spot is easy to miss - tucked in a somewhat unconventional strip next to the somewhat sketchy Z Mart gas, this spot is a great example of "looks from the outside can be deceiving." You step into a clean, medium fancy, and extremely well-decorated but still small bar with really casual vibes. There's a mix of bar-top and small tables/couches for seating, but because of the small size, this is ideal for a solo, a couple or a group of no more than 4. It was decorated for Christmas when i came but the normal vibe seems more European punk, and I love the purple-green lighting -- hope that's always around! I loved the ambiance in here, it's upbeat, you can tell the bartenders have regulars and are friendly to chat with, and overall feels like it's a fun spot, even just walking inside. I came solo for a nightcap after dinner and was able to walk in and grab a seat at the bar. Service was just two bartenders for the whole place (which was about 3/4 full), but they were both pretty quick in providing me a menu. The menu is pretty large - almost 4-5 pages purely of cocktails, but also a few options for wine, beer, NA and extremely light bites food (wouldn't plan on having a full meal here.) I opted for two drinks off their signature cocktails list: Dolce Inverno (pistachio liqueur, vodka) and the Smoke n' Cider (apple brandy, cinnamon, smoke). Both drinks were pretty enjoyable, particularly the Smoke n' Cider which had a nice presentation to smoke the drink and also just great flavor. I do think these seem on par with other cocktail spots in east, but maybe not my top tier craft cocktail spots overall for Nashville. Service was super friendly and I think I enjoy the vibes here even more than the actual drinks. Having a small private parking lot is a huge plus, because otherwise parking would be a bit difficult as there aren't many options for street parking near here. This would be an awesome spot to catch up with a friend or just people watch solo, and I'm certain to be back!

Not only were the drinks really good but so was the service, I wanted something that wasn't on the menu and the server was able to come up with a creation that was very similar to what I was wanting. The lighting is very dark, which is nice for a date or just a sexy vibe. The seating was comfortable and secluded, the decorations were pretty unique as well!

My friend and I had a lovely time visiting The Amsterdamian. We each had 3 drinks and then ordered food. I had the grilled goat cheese toasty with fig jam, and my friend had the french fries. I ordered the Aqua Vitae, the Pink Elephant, and the Rye Tai. All of my drinks were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Drinks range from $12-$16, which is very reasonable. I loved the toasty as well, perfectly done and it came out within a good time frame. Our servers were very kind and patient. Even when a large bachelorette party came in, we were still receiving service in good time and never felt like the ambiance was impacted by the others in the space. It is a very small bar, but there were plenty of seating options in either chairs with tables, private booths, or bar seating. Low-key vibes, great ambiance and drinks, kind and patient bartenders, and good art. There were only two people working, so please be patient when choosing this location, they are working very hard to maintain this atmosphere.

What a cool place. It's unassuming from outside, but very elegant inside. We had Holly as our bartender and she was fantastic. Knowledgeable, kind, funny and talented. She created the drink Midnight in Hollywood which was delicious! Highly recommend. They do events here as well like silent discos, speed dating, comedy, and burlesque. We will absolutely be coming back here.

Great new addition to the east side. I stopped in for a mother/daughter night and we couldn't have been more pleased. It was a nice, quieter atmosphere, allowing for good conversation. The layout is very cute and intimate and the chairs are comfortable. They have a serve-yourself popcorn machine and small bites to eat. I was interested in the toasties but we had dinner plans after. We each ordered 2 cocktails and all of them ere top notch. I usually avoid the vodka drink section but I got to task the pink elephant because my mom ordered it and man was it a good flavor combo. Service was well paced and the bartenders were friendly. Can't wait to go back!

Love this place! Drinks are strong and delicious. Bar snacks are dope. Came on a late wintery night in January and Martin hooked us up with some bites despite the kitchen being technically closed. Feels local, very East Nash. The velvety booths are just so comfy! Parking can be tricky as the little strip mall lot doesn't have too many spots but y'all should be ubering anyway how they make the drinks ;)

AMAZING! what a great chill vibe to have instead of something so rowdy. The atmosphere is amazing the service is on point, I will be coming back. The cocktails are absolutely incredible fresh flavor you can tell they put a lot of heart into it.

Such a cute spot... you'd never realize it's in a little strip mall! Great service the staff is sweet and helped when we mentioned we had an allergy. Charcuterie was great I wish they still were doing the fondue I see in other reviews on here... but they aren't :( overall, great experience and will come back!

Great place to meet a friend, take a first date or just go solo and chat with Martin, the bar tender. The drinks are really great and the space is a vibe. The bathroom has a really cool mirror ceiling too.

Great new addition to east Nashvilles bar/food scene. The owners were very friendly, the cheese was to die for. Possibly the coolest bathroom in the city. Think if Salazar Slytherin owned it. Cocktails were all on point. I suggest the buttered rum for these cold holiday nights.

A cute local find in east nashville. The owns are passionate about cocktails and do a good job. The cocktail menu can evolve more but the existing one is nice and simple. Love the complimentary fresh popcorn machine with different flavors. Its a cute casual bar to hit any-day for a good drink.

The Amsterdamian is absolutely stunning. You are instantly transported to a sophisticated European setting with a chic, art deco vibe. The cocktails are masterfully curated with impressive detail. The smoked rosemary was a sensory experience. Almost too perfect to be a drink! The bartenders greet you with genuine hospitality. I highly recommend this intimate cocktail lounge as a reprieve from the otherwise hectic Nashville bar scene.

The ambiance here is amazing!!! We had several drinks but the tequila drink was by far our favorite! You can tell they take special care in creating their cocktails and everyone was super friendly! Will definitely be back!
