The 18 Best Restaurants In Hammersmith - London - The Infatuation

"The Anglesea Arms is a pub blessed with a royal blue facade and a Waitrose mentality. The scotch eggs are of the quail variety, magnums of Chianti are shared by people who’ve known each other since birth or boarding school, and it very well might be home to the highest concentration of cockapoos this side of the Cotswolds. If the sun’s out, it’s your Great British duty to fight for one of the tables on the mini pavement terrace and order the excellent, garlic soirée spaghetti alle vongole." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna

The Anglesea Arms - Review - Hammersmith - London - The Infatuation

"Even the sea salt crisps at this Hammersmith pub are too classy to exist in a world of Peggy Mitchell’s blow-out and sticky carpets. The Anglesea Arms is a pub blessed with a royal blue facade and a Waitrose mentality. The scotch eggs are of the quail variety, magnums of Chianti are shared by people who’ve known each other since birth or boarding school, and it very well might be home to the highest concentration of cockapoos this side of the Cotswolds. It’s less ‘mega rounds and match of the day’, more ‘chargrilled bone marrow and tender, glazed meats’. Even if you can’t relate to the neighbouring table's travesty of the week—say, the DNA results that have thrown their coton de tulear puppy’s lineage into question—it’s fun to join the throng of regulars for a cosy, countrified modern European meal. If the sun’s out, it’s your Great British duty to fight for one of the tables on the mini pavement terrace and order the excellent, garlic soirée spaghetti alle vongole. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Pause Unmute" - Heidi Lauth Beasley

We went to The Anglesea Arms for a Sunday roast – our very first one during our holiday in London and Liverpool – and it was an amazing experience. The restaurant has a great vibe, really cozy and welcoming, and you can even bring your dog which is a big plus. The service was fantastic, super friendly and attentive, and the food was even better. The roast was delicious, perfectly cooked with generous portions, and the Yorkshire pudding was spot on. Overall, a wonderful place with great atmosphere, excellent staff, and absolutely tasty food – highly recommended.

The food has always been great here, and it's been here for a long time. On this visit, we had 4 starters between the 2 of us, and it was absolutely superb: tasted amazing and everything was beautifully presented. The team were also lovely and brilliantly attentive.

What a fabulous Sunday lunch. T looked after us so well. With so many delicious options on the menu, her suggestions were spot on. The rump of beef was spot on with just the right amount of fat. The carrots were sweet, the roasties crisp on the outside and buttery inside. The horseradish was grainy yet smooth and had just the perfect amount of bite. For dessert the sticky toffee pudding was the rice consistency and sweetness and paired perfectly with the ginger ice-cream. All in all a lovely Sunday afternoon.

The Anglesea Arms, on the corner of Wellesley Avenue and Wingate Road in Hammersmithish is a lovely pub with chatty effervescent staff to enjoy a conversation with ( while they still work and take my money! Multitasking at its best). A chameleon pub with a drinking area to the front, a dining area and art gallery to the rear. Bare bricks for the diners and Art Deco wood panelling on the walls for the drinkers. A small range of keg beers and ciders along with Tribute from the cask. Loved my visit.

Very well impressed overall. We were greeted very courteously and welcoming. Tried the Sunday roast which was amazing, my wife tried the sea bream which was very fresh and delicious. Service was always on top of our needs and with a nice smiling and relaxed attitude. Atmosphere was very nice and clean. Will definitely come back again

Had such a great dinner here! The food is absolutely delicious and portions are generous. Their Caesar salad is probably one of the best I have had! Burrata dish was delicious as well! You could really taste how fresh everything was. The mushroom risotto was creamy and earthy, although it did need some salt. The sticky toffee pudding incredible- it tasted light and not too sweet, perfectly balanced! Great wine selection too. I will absolutely be back

Outstanding! From start to finish this was such a great experience. I didn’t have a booking I was in the area and hungry. Saxon and Ellie greeted me and were so accommodating. I was recommended a very good Portuguese white wine to accompany my excellent food, and was looked after throughout my dining experience. I cannot thank the team at the Anglesea Arms enough. 100% I will return, hospitality at its best, well done guys.

I loved this place. The food was absolutely top notch. Forget that this is listed as a pub. The food was just amazing. I had the Guinea Fowl with tarragon sauce. Just to die for. My partner had the roast beef, and our daughter has the pork belly. We all loved the food. Staff were brilliant and the atmosphere lovely. The place was full on a Sunday evening, so I would definitely book. Our bill was quite high, but we had wine and drinks. Oh yes, we also had deserts. Also fantastic.
