I stopped by Angry Jerk in Silver Spring around 1:30 AM after attending a Caribbean-themed party nearby. I was excited to see a Caribbean restaurant open late (they advertise hours until 3:00 AM) and had always wanted to try them after seeing them listed on UberEats. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the menu was extremely limited—only brown stew chicken and curry chicken were available, and for sides, just rice & peas and creamy slaw. No plantains were available, which is usually a staple with a Caribbean meal, and overall it felt like I was getting the “last scraping” of what was left even though the restaurant still had an hour and a half before closing. On top of that, the chicken portion I received was mostly chicken back, which has very little meat compared to other parts of the chicken. That was a letdown, as it didn’t feel like a proper serving for the price. The bright side: the food I was able to order was tasty, and that’s the only reason I would consider giving them another try. If the flavor hadn’t delivered, this would have been a one-and-done experience. My hope is that the restaurant can work on its logistics to ensure menu availability matches its late-night hours. If they want to stand out as one of the few places offering Caribbean food this late, it’s important that customers feel like they’re getting the full experience—not just what happens to be left at closing time.

Google
I got the Jerk Shrimp bowl, it was a 7/10. Mainly because the shrimp were super overcooked and tasted very fishy. Other than that my bowl was super tasty: fried rice, corn, cabbage, tropical slaw, those delicious sweet potatoes and I mixed the angry mayo & jerk mumbo sauce 😋

Google
I found a staple in my rice. Really dangerous! Be careful!! Other than that— fantastic food, I’ve been getting takeout here for a year and a half and it’s always delicious. The plantains are my favorite.

Google
Ordered off grub hub and got the two for one special which is an amazing deal when you account for their prices. The food is superb, flavorful, ok portions for a bowl, and a bit of spice from the Angry jerk sauce. Just wish the rice was a lil softer. The Mac and cheese must of been from the bottom it wasn’t that cheesy, but still taste fine. Maybe it was a busy night for them since I had a pickup order. Overall, I definitely recommend eating here.

Google
I ordered from the Georgia Ave location, and the food had no flavor..I ordered a pulled oxtail bowl, half jerk with 2 sides, and a pineapple ginger juice. The plantains were burnt, the fried rice had no flavor, the chicken had no jerk flavor or smell, and the oxtail was tender but lacked flavor. The sauce I ordered had no flavor, it was just spicy. The pineapple/ mango pico just tasted like vinegar. I will never order anything again. I'm yet to taste the pineapple or ginger in the juice. The food came fast. That was the only good thing. All around tasteless..

Google
Delicious. For delivery, it was really far and expensive. But I ordered the salmon with mac n cheese and plantains. All was good. Just would've preferred my salmon cooked a little more through. I think it's better just to go in person to a location. The delivery fees are outrageous.

Google
The food was delicious the only thing was the plantains were dry and didn’t taste fresh. The carrot ginger juice didn’t have a bit of ginger in it. Hand washing has to be stressed in this establishment because I noticed employees leaving from other areas putting on gloves without washing their hands first. Otherwise, the staff was kind.

Google
Late night Dash order. The menu looked scrumptious & I love sweet & spicy, savory so I was really looking forward to trying this. I decided on the jerk chicken tacos with chow mein, jerk cauliflower & pineapple mango pico toppings and a side of lo mein. All of the food was very disappointing and cold. There were no utensils or napkins, the serving portions were okay but the food was absolutely tasteless, there was no sauce for the tacos, they did not have jerk seasoning or if it did, it was undetectable. As far as the “ toppings “ go, it really did not add any flavor at all, no spice, just very bland. I only gave it one star because I had to in order to rate it but because it was also quite pricey I have to say - Don’t waste your money or hopes unless you enjoy flavorless food! That is with the assumption that what I received was actually real food! 😲

Sherrell L.

Yelp
The food was delicious, looks just like the menu chicken moist, cabbage was flavorful. The service was fast ,pleasant and professional. We came from DC to try this location out after hearing great things about this location. We will definitely be coming back for more.

Yelp
I have been eyeing Angry Jerk for years, and finally got to try it when I saw they were having a 'Flavor Hive' promotion where you could bring a bag to fill with their lovely selections. For those who don't know, Flavor Hive is a halal truck that will either give you a tray or stuff your bag of chips, fries, pizza, or anything you bring to them. It fascinated me having a Caribbean version of that as an option. It's downtown Silver Spring, but it wasn't hard to find street parking. That construction is starting to become cumbersome, though. I stepped inside and was surprised by how empty it was. And yes, items like jerk chicken, plantain, and cabbage were options to top my lovely bag of multigrain chips with. The staff were nice and trying to figure out the price point for my bag -- it was kinda big LOL. Once we got that figured it out and I made my choices, I was on my way. I got back in the car, and it was quite a nachos treat! It was heavy, so I had to eat some of it down so I could go -- I should've brought a tray haha. It was delicious though! The jerk was on the sweeter side... can't really say I got any heat. The other elements were all great though -- I especially loved the plantain. I'd like to come back and try other things... I have a lot of Caribbean spots closer to me, but soon!

Yelp
See photo attached. Very unsanitary and nasty. Will never eat from here again. Threw all of the food away

Yelp
Was recommended by a friend to check this place out. Seemed like a lot of online orders were placed as we were waiting watching staff prepare multiple bags before acknowledging us waiting to order. We did a jerk chicken bowl with rice and beans with a variety of toppings. Overall good flavors but pretty expensive for what it was. I wish there was an option to try or get a couple sauces on the side since what we went with wasn't very spicy. They automatically prep food in to go containers even though we ended up eating at one of the few tables in the store. Would be interested to try something else but with so many near by restaurants would probably just try somewhere new.

Yelp
I tried the Angry Jerk after hearing multiple reviews about it. I ordered via Uber Eats and I love relatively close so it was no biggie. I ordered the pulled jerk chicken bowl with jerk cauliflower, sweet potatoes, cabbage and pickled cucumber sign a side of fried rice. The fried rice had no flavor so I didn't even finish it. The bowl was cool. If I could do it again, I would not have gotten the cabbage. The cabbage made the bowl very oily and bc of that, I was hesitant on finishing it. The jerk chicken was just ok. Now the jerk cauliflower and sweet potatoes...chefs kiss. I would not order the fried rice again and will say that my dining experience was just ok. Again, I ordered via uber eats. The food was packaged nicely and bc I live close by, my food was will hot upon delivery. If I had to dine here again, it would be for the veggies. Other than that, it wouldn't be my first dining choice.

Yelp
Pretty good food and nice change from the places nearby. But slow service and overpriced. See pic for my *$28* meal - a curry chicken bowl, vanilla pudding, and a soft drink. Keep in mind, this is fast casual, and a chipotle-style build your bowl type of line.

Yelp
Popped into The Angry Jerk, after a little partying at Society. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, I didn't. While the concept is great, the food is not quality. Let me start off by saying the customer service was on point, very nice staff. The inside is small, enough room for a few folks to sit. But I see it more as a grab your food and run or grab your food eat it quickly and get out! They are set up like chipotle, but all of the ingredients are not free. The ingredients didn't seem fresh. Not sure if they had been sitting out all day, but they were just ok. The jerk chicken was decent, but nothing was jerk about it! For the price, the amount of food they give you isn't too bad. But the quality definitely was not worth what I paid. I truly expected more.

Yelp
We ate here last night everything was delicious, service was fast , employees and management were very engaging. I will definitely be going back and tell friends.

Yelp
Food arrived hot and fresh, my sides I ordered fried rice, plantains, and curried chickpea all tasted delicious. The jerk chicken looked juicy and moist. I can't really comment on Service because it was DoorDash delivery, the driver was very polite friendly and on time.

Donisha B.

Yelp
Jerk chicken with the sweet and sour sauce was BOMB. The Mac and cheese was good as well!

Yelp
Review is for DuPont location: Tried Angry Jerk for the first time today after reading rave reviews. It took me some time to actually locate the restaurant because my GPS kept sending me in circles and then it's good luck finding parking! When I went in, the manager seemed a bit distracted by a phone call he was on. I was barely greeted and the lady who took over my order wasn't super friendly. It was my first time there so I wasn't sure how the order process worked. She didn't try to explain or recommend me anything. Just stared at me with a dead pan expression. I mean I get it. I just got off work and was tired myself but a little customer service goes a long way and makes a difference. Now for the food, it was just ok. I got a little spoon of oxtail and the rice wasn't spectacular. My food was lukewarm, and not very hot. They had healthy options for sides, so I'll give them that, but I wouldn't come back again. I could get the same food with bigger portions for less money and feel satisfied.

Yelp
First time I had the wings, they were delicious!!! Yesterday when I had them, they were not good! I would stay away from the "Angry dust" rub! It's just too much and not complimenting the Angry wings like at all! Cabbage was okay from the couple bites I had. Didn't eat the rest because it was toooooooo greasy . So was the jerk cauliflower! Don't think I would order here again . If you do decide to get the Angry wings get the Angry sweet sauce and not the rib

Yelp
So are we really paying $28 for these small portions here at "The Angry Jerk"? Well, I did...I give you HONEST, not sponsored reviews. Let's start with the pros: decor was nice and trending with the logo everywhere. It's a small venue and meant to be a quick stop and eat or carryout option. They are located in downtown Silver Spring, literally next to Society Lounge (if you know, you know) that's been a staple and landmark in the DMV for years. Back to The Angry Jerk: The service was average. The young man working the register just seemed like he was there doing his job. I was going to ask for recommendations but he gave off the vibe of nonchalant. The food was good, but expensive for the portion size. I got the wings. The sides are alacarte so I ordered the mac and cheese and cabbage. The wait for my food was about 10 minutes. My biggest cons were the portion sizes of the sides (too small like a kiddie veesion) and the parking was a terror but that's to be expected in downtown Silver Spring. Check out the pictures I took and more of my reviews on social media. All platforms: CocoasJoy or CocoaAlmondjoy.

Yelp
After a long day at the office, I was in no mood to cook, so I decided to try out the Angry Jerk for some tacos. The fact that it is a Black-owned establishment was an added bonus, as I wanted to show my support. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the lively beats of reggae music, which instantly set the mood for a fun dining experience. The aroma of curry filled the air, tantalizing my taste buds and making me even hungrier. Despite it being a busy Sunday night at 8pm, with a long line of people, the Angry Jerk was well-prepared to handle the influx of customers. The staff was efficient ensuring that everyone was served in a timely manner. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself in and out of the line within 15 minutes, which was quite impressive given the crowd. One of the highlights of my visit was the window seat, allowing me to enjoy my meal while taking in the view outside. It provided a nice spot to relax, hang out, and savor every bite. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and cozy, making it the ideal place to unwind after a long day. I enjoyed the Jerk Shrimp and Jerk Chicken Tacos. Both came with rice and peas, plantin and mango salsa. The portions were satisfying and the flavors were tasty.

Yelp
This is my order it should have been ready by 10:44 I didn't get a text on my phone until 11:12 but my food did not come out until 11:30. And the reason why is because they were too busy fraternizing with the female customers instead of focusing on my food and then my food has the nerve to be cold and my rice ain't cooked all the way through.
google avatar

Yelp
The jerk chicken, Mac & cheese, and cabbage was excellent. The wait time for pick-up was outstanding!
google avatar

Courtney R.

Yelp
This review is for takeout. I ordered pickup. The food took about 30 minutes to prepare, though the estimate was 10 minutes. The wings were so worth the wait!! I got the mumbo jerk wings and they're like Asian, sweet but still a little jerk. Fantastic. There's about 12 in the box. What I cannot recommend is the Mac n cheese... avoid at all costs. The restaurant is very small on the inside, less than 20 seats total. They play very loud lounge type music. The staff is relatively friendly. I'll certainly be back to try the "make your own bowl" option but will definitely put in an order for those wings again too.

Yelp
8'2022 Great food concept. Missed the mark w Hubby and I. We visited late night. I was excited. It was my idea, and this place kept showing up on different social media sites in a positive way. Parking was quite difficult but achieved. This block is shared w several clubs and after hour places so everyone was fighting for their lives w parking. We walked in, and there was a line. They have a kiosk ordering option as well. We waited in line for quite some time. Once we were able to order, the staff was quite pleasant and helpful w ordering. We ordered Angry Wings and a Chicken Bowl. Waited 45+ minutes Tasteless. 0 flavor !! I will not be returning.

Yelp
The food was good but I would recommend that you familiarize yourself with the menu prior to ordering. The people working behind the counter we're not very helpful. However, the food was very fresh and very tasty.

Yelp
Delicious tastes of the Caibbean in downtown Silver Spring. Everything is prepared, so you point to what you want and select to make a meal. Quite similar to a Chipotle type proceaa, but more delicious and Caribbean! The food is quite tasty, portions are pretty good. I only wish they had more condiments and sauces that you could put in a small container to take with you to go. I wish they had more locations or more in Northern Va.
google avatar

Yelp
So good! I've had many Jamaican places in Silver Spring. This spot is my new favorite. Not only is the menu unique offering tacos and bowls, but the food is good! I had the brown stew chicken entree, plantains and lo mein. I've never had lo mein at a Jamaican spot. This one is well seasoned and has a bit of a kick. Very good. The plantains were as expected -crispy, goey, and sweet. The brown stewed chicken and rice and peas were my absolute favorite. Not too spicy, buttery, and just delicious. The cabbage was too spicy for me, but still great. The service was also great! I will be back.
google avatar

Kiara H.

Yelp
Very mediocre. Head to Sweet Sweet for much better food. Employees don't know about menu options when you ask about them, and the manager is rude. I would hope that the rice and peas would at least be good, very basic.
google avatar

Gina R.

Yelp
I ordered 3 jerk shrimp bowls, the food was not good at all. In all 3 of the shrimp bowl and the shrimp was so mushy that is smashes like mashed potatoes. There's absolutely no jerk sauce in the bowl and I requested extra jerk sauce and none came with it. I can't tell if the shrimp are rotten or overcooked! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I was excited to try this place, won't be ordering again!
google avatar

Yelp
Nice small Caribbean spot in downtown Silver Spring, MD. Wasn't greeted when I walked in, but lots of people coming in/out. Food was very tasty! Had Brown Stew chicken lunch specials that come with sides. I got 2 specials, one with fried rice & cabbage and the other LoMein and corn. Will definitely come back!

Clinton L.

Yelp
Just ordered a small curry chicken and the dam thing was almost $18.00... HELL NO! NEVER AGAIN. And the food was ok. smh...
google avatar

Breon J.

Yelp
I am a huge fan of jamaican food and this did not disappoint. It is set up similarly to a Jamaican Chipotle. You have the option to build a bowl with your choice of proteins like jerk chicken, shrimp, curry etc, pick different bases and add topics and sauces! I got a jerk chicken bowl with rice and peas topped with plantains, carrots, ane corn. It was seasoned perfectly and tender. The service was efficient and they gave very healthy portion sizes. If you are in the dc area, check them out for amazing Jamaican cuisine!
google avatar

Aisha P.

Yelp
Very good food! I ordered the curry chickpea bowl with rice & peas, fried plantain, cabbage, sweet potatoes and picked onions. Carb overload? Why, yes. But it was delicious. Service is pretty quick if you're ordering from the "assembly line" as I like to call it (aka chipotle style service) and staff were very friendly. Location is right in downtown Silver Spring, so plan for parking accordingly. I am looking forward to visiting again!
google avatar

Yelp
This was my first experience with The Angry Jerk and I ordered the Pulled Jerk Chicken Bowl. Positives: You're able to pick a rice or chow mein, add up to 5 toppings to your bowl and pick a sauce to go on the side. They're open until 3am Friday-Sunday Negatives: The white rice was either undercooked or overcooked and crunchy. The bowl consisted mostly of that crunchy rice and the portion of jerk chicken was minuscule and down right disrespectful! The little chicken that was in the bowl was cold and flavorless. Everything was dry. There wasn't a wet element to the bowl other than slaw I added and the sauce they included on the side wasn't nearly enough to make it palatable. I really hope this was a one off and I just got a bad bowl. I ended up throwing most of it away. The picture of the pulled jerk chicken bowl on the website is a far cry from what I received today. I'm not sure if I'll try again.

Yelp
I stopped into The Angry Jerk between a beauty appointment. A friend told me about the place and it's super cute. It's in a great location in silver spring. The staff behind the bar was sweet . I ordered the angry jerk wings with the jerk /mambo sauce. Those were delicious and pretty large wings. I also ordered a stewed chicken plate with rice and beans and plantains. My fiancé loved it. I also ordered the jerk shrimp bowl. I wasn't really a fan. I need to come back in with an appetite and with time to dine in
google avatar

Yelp
Really good Caribbean fast casual restaurant. I went with a friend and we shared a chicken bowl. The restaurant is right in downtown Silver Spring so if you can order and pick up you should! They do have a few tables inside to sit and eat. After you order at the counter, they will call your order. The bowl we shared had jerk chicken, rice n peas, cinnamon sweet potatoes, mango pico, jerk cauliflower, and plantain. The mix of sweet and spicy and all the textures were so good together. You can pick and choose the things you like in your bowl if your taste buds would prefer to agree on one flavor profile. Would definitely go again. Good to know they are open late too (3am).
google avatar

Kanisha L.

Yelp
This place is like the Caribbean version of Cava lol Recently moved to the DMV and we have ordered from here more than any other restaurant. My usual to go to are the shrimp bowl or the ox tail bowl. Fave sides are cinnamon sweet potatoes, mango salsa, fried rice, chow mein, jerk cauliflower, and they give generous portions. I've only been to the location once and because my order took so long and got confused, they were kind enough to give me an extra side (the one I was waiting the longest for). It was super kind and considerate. Restaurants aren't perfect and make mistakes, I have so much respect for when they recognize this and correct the wrong.
google avatar

Jamie W.

Yelp
I ordered here while staying at a hotel right down the street. I put my order in, and drove down to pick it up. I was there early, and waited for it to come out from the kitchen. I thought, "At least it will be hot". Nothing is more annoying than ordering delivery from Uber and it shows up an hour later cold. I get back to hotel in 4 minutes. I had the food for maybe under 10 all together and it was like it was basically room temp. The chicken was cold. Everything else was good. The cabbage was spiced right. The chicken was very tasty with the spices, but was it suppose to be cold? I like my chicken hot. It was tasty, but cold.
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
OMG. Wow. Amazing. Delicious. This was our first visit. They have been opened about a year. There are few tables for dining in. You order at the counter. Every bite was exploding with flavors. I think we tried 4 of 6 protein options- stewed chicken, grill chicken, shrimp, and chickpea. My favorites were the stewed chicken and chickpea. We also had the cabbage- i did not know that cabbage could taste so good. In addition, we also got the half chicken. Amazing. Overall an excellent experience and loved every bite. Looking forward to returning.
google avatar

Yelp
Tasty and standard place to get quick Caribbean inspired food. Some items are made to order but there are also cafe style food that can be added to build a bowl. I ordered the brown stew with rice and peas, plantain, steamed cabbage, and sweet potato and enjoyed it. The staff is very kind and friendly with good customer service. The environment is casual. If you're hungry and want quick food to pick up after work, you can come here.
google avatar

Joshua P.

Yelp
A friend recommended this, so I ordered on UberEats and this is the BEST thing food I've had in a while. OMG! And it was to go. I can only imagine the experience in the restaurant. It was so much food and it was so fresh.

Yelp
While at the hair salon my stylist told me about this restaurant so I decided to place a 3.50 delivery fee order through Uber Eats... I order the jerk chicken dinner- which comes w/ two sides... I ordered the angry Mac & cheese and lo mein... I never received the lo mein- which annoyed me and I didn't get a chance to taste the angry Mac & cheese but I will assume it was decent since my husband ate it all! The jerk chicken was underwhelming.. juicy? Yes! Cooked on the grill? Yes! But truly lacked flavor and spice! I'm West Indian so that is highly important to me. The star of my order was the red snapper! It did not disappoint! The red snapper was so flavorful, had some spice and filling (ate it yesterday and today) the only set back to the fish is the sides. I ordered pickled coleslaw and cabbage. Since it comes in the same container as the fish & sauce, I am unable to grade is the sides because the sauce over flavored or flavored the cabbage and slaw. I don't know if I will give them another try but was a if I do... it would only be for the fish. HOWEVER, they do have some interesting tacos and bowls

Heaven O.

Yelp
Don't order here they will mess up your order and not even answer their phones. Terrible customer service.
google avatar

Tyrell M.

Yelp
Yes, sir, first time trying this restaurant, I gotta say that when i came in it definitely lives up by it's name the bowl itself has that carribean flavor and the drink that I had was the pineapple ginger and it definitely has a kicked to it but I give a shout out to the DC location to make me feel welcome I appreciate the service and helping me with my selection I am gonna go back there again!!!!!!

Yelp
My first impressions when I went inside were mixed looking at the serving counter but as soon as I tasted the food, I immediately changed my mind. The flavors reminded me of this amazing Trinidadian Roti place I had in Virgin Islands. I did a take out and my review is solely from that perspective. Next time I ll come in for their Taco Tuesday and experience the hype first hand. Needed to reduce the stars because of the pick up experience. The service seemed disorganized leading to delays and inconsistent wait times. Otherwise, tasty food.
google avatar

Yelp
I have been back here since and the food was much better. I really like the tacos. The first time I went 3 years ago they were new, but they have certainly grown since then. Great job!

Yelp
I try coming to the angry jerk every chance I can. the best jerk chicken, and rice and peas and the best mac and cheese

Yelp
No complaints here. The food is good....not the best but definitely good for a repeat visit and when in need of satisfying my Caribbean fix. It's reasonably priced, no frills, and gives you a taste of authentic Caribbean fare. Glad to support this local family business. Call ahead if you have specific dishes or drinks in mind, because on some days the service can be slow.....particularly on weekends. I tend to order the I got the Half Jerk Chicken with fried rice, angry mayo, angry sweet, cucumber salsa and cilantro. It has a slight kick, not too spicy but, a good flavor and the meat is tender. Even the white meat, which I am not a fan of, is pretty good and tender here. On this visit, I tried the Jerk Chicken &. Shrimp Tacos. The cost is roughly about $12 bucks which comes to about $4 a taco. A little steep but these bad boys are pilled high with your choice of peas n' rice or fried rice, cabbage, carrots, mango-pineapple topping (which I opted-out) and a sweet-spick jark sauce. This dish was really good and gets a total thumbs up from me! I just wish they would offer more sauce choices for the dish and allow for customers to choose them to go instead. It would help in changing up the flavors and allow for customers who like "a lot --xxxtra" sauce, the ability to enjoy the dish and get busy with it....they like their tacos....like me!! Overall, great vibe, good customer service, and the restaurant is very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful too in explaining their dishes. I will keep this one on repeat.....even though there are tons of Caribbean spots around the DMV. The customer service and food is good.

Yelp
Finally tried this spot last week for Taco Tuesday. I think they've been open only since last year and I've had it on my list. The decor is very aesthetically pleasing!! There is some seating but it's not a huge space. Feels more like a take-out spot! Parking here wasn't too bad in the middle of the weekday. I placed an order online and went in to pick it up. I wasn't sure if I had to join a line or if there was a separate area for mobile orders, so I stood in the line and maybe I didn't need to do that. So about 15 minutes later I received my food. The interaction with the employee was good. Very nice guy! They have great specials for tacos on Tuesdays! 3 for $5.50! They are normally $11. I did two orders of jerk chicken tacos. I didn't realize it was 3 tacos per order, so I ended up with 6 tacos. I definitely did not eat all 6. For one, I didn't love these tacos. I really hoped I would have enjoyed them more. The chicken didn't taste like jerk nor was it spicy. I don't know if they have some sauces that go with their meals, but I had to put hot sauce on mine and that still didn't help much. I ordered mine with fried rice with pineapple mango pico and jerk cauliflower. I just really didn't like it at all. I would come back and try something different but no to the tacos for me.

Yelp
Loved my veggie bowl from the angry jerk. So many options and was so happy they had a veggie bowl as well. I would recommend pita or bread to go with the bowls (similar "bowl" type places offer pita with the bowls). Otherwise, it's great! Great flavors and medley of base, topping, sauce and protein..

Yelp
No AC! I feel sorry for the workers. No excuse for this. Cheap owners. Just close ...you can't open in 100 degrees with no ac in the US.

Yelp
I was looking for a new place to get some authentic Jamaican food and come across the Angry Jerk! Y'all! They did not disappoint! It's basically a chipotle style restaurant where you choose what toppings you want in a bowl! I ordered an oxtail bowl with fried rice, plantains, and sweet potatoes. The oxtail was extremely juicy and well seasoned! The fried rice is a must have! Also, try the jerk mumbo and sweet jerk sauces! So, so good! The service was good as well! Everyone we super friendly friendly. It's more of a Togo place than dine in and totally worth visiting!

Yelp
This spot is clean, but hot. I sat inside and ate my food. Saturday around 2:45pm, not busy, me and another customer in there. I got a half jerk chicken with cabbage and Mac and cheese. $23.31. Mac and cheese and another side are an up charge, $3.50 upcharge for Mac and cheese, $18.49 with non upcharge sides. Chicken was good! Little spicy and sweet, perfect to me. Mac and cheese food, it has to be a customer favorite which is why it's more. Cabbage perfect, slightly crisp with good flavor. This is 4/5 because I think it's on the high side. I'd an get a similar meal for $16 with similar quality. I also think the staff aren't the friendliest, not rude, but nothing special. Will be back, when I save my money for a little splurge day lol

Yelp
Newish restaurant in Silver Spring, located three doors down from its sister restaurant, The Society Restaurant & Lounge! I've ordered the quarter jerk chicken with a side of rice and peas and plantains twice now and the food was inconsistent. I initially ordered from this restaurant on a Saturday evening. My meal was lukewarm, the rice & peas was burned and my plantains were charred. The chicken was the only saving grace. It featured familiar jerk flavors. The jerk sauce added a spicy pop of flavor that disguised the flavor of the burnt rice and peas and blackened plantains. I figured this place was still getting its act together and I liked the jerk chicken, so I decided to give it another try on a Friday evening. This time my dish was served hot; the rice and peas was not burned; and the fried plantains were a golden color. The chicken tasted just as good as it did during my first visit. The quarter chicken meal comes with enough food for one serving and you are given a choice of white or dark meat, which I appreciate. I'm used to getting more food for the same price at other casual Caribbean restaurants, so the portion size seems very small in comparison. I did notice that my friend's stewed chicken dish was slightly larger than the quarter chicken dish. The chicken had a nice flavor, however, it was salty and skewed heavier on rice and peas over the chicken. This place could use better communication between the kitchen and front of the house to make sure orders are given to customers as soon as they are ready, especially when the restaurant is not busy. During both of my visits, I noticed that someone from the kitchen physically walks the takeout order out of the kitchen and places it on the counter behind the cashiers. During my second visit, the cashier stepped away from the register and it took him several minutes to realize that my order had been sitting on the counter. The restaurant decor consists of "The Angry Jerk" wallpaper, wooden tables with red plastic chairs and stools, and two bikes displaying "The Angry Jerk" logo. The place was empty during both of my visits between 7-8pm on a Friday and Saturday. This place has potential. I hope it does well in this location. For now, the cooks need to work on making the food more consistent and of course not burning the food!

Yelp
Good food but DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY. I wish I could give this place 5 stars because the food is great but this is the second time we've ordered DoorDash and not received the jerk sauce that comes with the bowls. The first time this happened no one picked up the phone. The second time we paid for extra sauce just in case and when it still didn't come I called and was told to just call with our next order and let them know... what the hell is that going to do? Update: lowering to 2 stars because after my husband went to retrieve the sauce they forgot they were extremely rude to him. Plus they forgot one of the toppings on my bowl and I bit into a huge piece of bone in my pulled chicken. I used to like this place but have no plans to return.
