"There are lots of food halls in Toronto, but The Annex might just be our favourite. You’ll find the city’s best fried-chicken sandwiches from P.G. Clucks, Bangkok-style street food from EAT BKK, and ridiculously big salads from Urban Herbivore, in addition to plenty of other options. The hall is filled with large tables good for groups and there are usually U of T students working on essays while working off hangovers. It’s a great place for quick take-out or a casual, sit-down meal, and they’re adding a fully licensed bar soon so you’ll be able to enjoy a cocktail or beer flight with your food. photo credit: Neiland Brissenden" - Jake Goldsbie

Annex Food Hall is a great place to have lunch/dinner with a groups of friends, or if you want to grab a bite alone. There are multiple different restaurants inside, so there’s definitely something for everyone to eat & enjoy. Thai, fried chicken, poutine and vegetarian food: this place has everything. Prices are reasonable & affordable. In summary: I recommend this place.

This place is a real experience. Multiple restaurants in one location. You order from your phone directly to the table you are seated at. An introverts dream, minimal talking to staff. But now for the main point of this review; should you venture to this place for thr food? Yes. Especially if you get the Katsu Sandwiches. Ordered a Pork Katsu sandwich, popcorn chicken and Chicken Katsu Sandwich for my table. The Katsu on each sandwich is delicious. Fried golden and crunchy, flavourful mouth watering interior. Perfection. Popcorn chicken it good. Nice crunchy exterior with succulent chicken in the middle. The spicy mayo for dipping is the best accompanying condiment. But back to the Katsu because they are the star of the several items we ordered. The Soft buttery toasted bread, with the cabbage and Japanese mayo is the best combination. I would want just a loaf of the bread with a side of mayo for dipping. It truly is the mvp of the day. Overall 7.5/10. Docked points for them seemingly forgetting parts of the order my table got, and having to ask a server twice to check up on it. Also cocktails are pricey here. And .5 off for their being a service fee for ordering through the app they direct you to use.

Stumbled across Mean Bao in the Annex Food Hall which has 6 restaurant choices, a beautiful bar with a wide range of local craft beer and a super friendly manager, and a touch of nostalgia with photos of old Toronto. I tried the Baos and the shrimp dumplings at Mean Bao. Both items were delicious.

There are a lot of nice venders in this hall, the price is not bad at all. You can try so many things at this place. Those venders have their own restaurant and if you were at their place before you will notice that they added a few things different from their restaurant. This is nice that you can try something new. Inside is nice, clean and there a lot of table to sit for a bite. The business hour is quiet long to cover for grabbing some dinner, they’re closed around 9-10pm depend on weekday and weekend. This hall is located on Bloor, close to Bloor and Spadina. Let stop by there and get a bite!

Exciting new place with LOTS of options Have been eagerly awaiting its opening - lots of choices from Thai, to Bao and Dim Sum, Tacos and Fried Chicken! Good prices, not a huge amount of seating and the vegan place at the front isn’t totally up and running yet. We tried almost everything on the menu - Pork Belly Bao was fantastic and actually the Fried Chicken really stood out. Taco was the best variety and had really fun glass bottled Soda. Outstanding addition to this area, great for groups, couples... The stairs down to the washrooms were dark and grimy and then WHAT? Bright, clean, contemporary single (safe, well lit) washrooms!!! In the Annex this is a rare find. You need to go before it gets crazy and it will be packed when the weather gets warmer.

Very nice place with plenty to choose from. I feel like the most valuable meal would be the rib gravy fries but the fried chicken burger was also very nice. Haven't tried the pasta shop and the bkk shop. Will order something form them next time. It is not on the cheap side but definitely not expensive. For 13 cad you can expect a full stomach.

Good selection of restaurants and beer. I like how there is comfort of food court and selection of various types of food but yet in more upscale yet relax atmosphere. Its a good place for a beer and bite with friends!

Delicious food! I ordered from Masala Guys and the aloo gobi and onion bhaji were very tasty. Lots of options for food at the various vendors. I highly recommend a visit.
