"Before Argentos opened in late 2017, Summit County didn’t know it needed an empanada spot. But now the small restaurant, which serves a dozen varieties of the hand-held pastries (don’t miss the chorizo or mushroom) and a few iconic Argentinean entrées each day, has knit itself into Silverthorne’s fabric. Dine in and discover the housemade chimichurri, jalapeño, and chipotle sauces that sit on each table. And don’t leave without an alfajor, a sandwich cookie filled with dulce de leche." - Amanda Faison

Delicious, quick service, super great backpack food for eating on a summit. Only downside is if you get an empanada that has opened during the cooking process those ones can be dry. I didn't realize this and didn't ask to see each one that I bought so we had one dry one out of 6. The other 5 were absolutely delicious though and the dry one could have been dealt with had we had the wherewithal to check at the store instead of on the trail. We loved the Malbec Steak, Chorizo Queso, Mushroom, and Chorizo Argento.

Absolutely delicious and packed with flavor! While visiting from Omaha during your Dillon vacation, we decided to take some back with us. It smelled fantastic as soon as you stepped in. Found out after checking out that they also serve Mata ,will need to try that next time.

If you’re in need of a quick bite or something to eat on the go, this is perfect. All the flavors we got of empanadas were amazing. The spinach was my favorite. All the sauces were really good too. The quiche was amazing as well. Defiantly a good spot to grab a dozen and then go home and eat them. The side salad was also good. Will be going again when back in town.

So Incredibly Flavorful and Delicious. Stopped by while driving through town and decided to give it a try. We got 4 different empanadas and each one was so good. Can't wait to stop back there on my way back to Colorado in a few weeks.

Stopped in Silverthorne on the way back to Denver and found this place. The service and vibe of the restaurant were great. A lot of different types of empanadas to choose from. Definitely recommend!

Such a yummy place to stop for a quick bite — or to hang with friends!! The empanadas are all SO good and the staff is friendly. With a clean and modern vibe, it’s a great place to have a drink and relax while breaking from your mountain fun!

Tried this place for the first time yesterday and it was very good! I got the chicken empanada and my friend got the mushroom one. Each one is $5 but they are pretty big. They had three different sauces to accompany them, the chipotle one was my favorite. If you’re in the area, definitely check them out!
