"Fort Collins, Colorado is a college town; it’s also an adventure town, located at the foot of the Rockies. It’s also, of course, a classic Old West town, wherein the 1923-vintage Armstrong Hotel is a relative newcomer. In advance of its 100th birthday it’s been thoroughly updated, brought up to modern boutique-hotel standards, with swanky, stylish rooms and a pair of highly regarded dining and drinking venues." - MICHELIN Guide

"The 1923 Armstrong Hotel was revamped in 2019, and its 54 rooms are now outfitted with burnished-brass beds and plush Persian rugs. Don't miss the vinyl-record library at Ace Gillett's, the subterranean supper club and lounge — and save time for a whirl around town on one of the hotel's cruiser bikes." - Travel + Leisure Editors

We loved it beginning at the time we layed eyes on the retro sign out front as we drove in. Easy parking and a great corner with lots of food and drink options close by. Check in was fun! Great service though everything was perfect and we did not need anything. We had the corner room 206 which must be one of the better rooms at the hotel. The bed was oh comfy. One of the best we’ve experienced. Highly recommend and we certainly will be a repeat customer if ever back through Fort Collins.

We loved the historic building, character of the hotel, and the location was great. The bed was super comfy. The end tables were such a cute style. Water pressure in shower was very good. It was nice to have Nespresso coffee in the room with real mugs. I would have liked a proper desk since I was working during the day. I made do with the small tv tray table and decorative chair. Parking is adequate but not great (outside and not covered), since the hotel is in old town it’s a worthwhile trade-off. And it’s only a quick 5 min drive to CSU! You can hear outside noise like the train or emergency vehicles, but it was quiet during sleep hours. Overall, we really enjoyed this hotel. When the price is right, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

We stopped in Fort Collins on our way to Grand Tetons. This was a perfect place to stay for the night. We loved our experience. Friendly staff(Kenzie), cute decor, and great rooms! This hotel had character and so much charm. It is a great spot to walk for dinner or drinks.

The Armstrong is really amazing. They open the door for you remotely every time you walk in, they provide sound machines, and earplugs. The room was comfortable and even has a Nespresso machine! The bed was insanely cozy. The art Okay the walls was so aesthetically pleasing and the location was so central. I love everything about this place. I ended up leaving my Apple Watch. The cleaning woman plugged it in so I was able to track it down via the Find My app. With hotels, you assume the worse from the horror stories online. I was nervous because this was the first time I had lost something. I am so grateful for the staff at the Armstrong. They are going to ship my watch to me! My husband is a musician and we will be in Fort Collins again. 100% recommend this hotel. We will be staying there every time we return to the city! I’ve had horrible experiences at huge chain hotels and I’m so so so happy my experience here was perfect.

This is a great refurbished facility, possessing a bit of downtown Fort Collins history. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We think the beds are very comfortable, and Ace Gillett's is a cozy place for that late night beverage and conversation.
