The Art Gallery at Congdon Yards

This is such a welcoming space, and a little hidden refuge from a bustling, growing city. They host the best workshops and classes from beginners to experienced makers looking to hone their skills. Their exhibits are always so engaging and educational. This is the perfect place to bring your family for an adventure. There is a hands on studio, perfect for the kids to explore. Absolutely a must visit, whether you have been to multiple art galleries or never have been to an art gallery this is a zero judgement space to experience the best of every art form.

I have taken several different classes and workshops. Always great instruction and a fun time. Have made many new friends who share the love of art and creativity. My granddaughters enjoyed their week of camp last summer and can’t wait to comeback next year.

TAG Art Center is a masterpiece. The building is stunning, but it’s the dynamic rotation of artists that really sets it apart. It’s rare to find such a high level of contemporary art in such a unique, historic setting. Every visit feels like a completely new experience. High Point’s best-kept secret!

What a wonderful place to have access to in the community!!! The local artwork on display is phenomenal and showcases an enormous amount of talent. Add that to the fact that they have a place for children to explore and express their artistic abilities - truly a gem!!!

They try to offer the best art exhibitions possible with informative events relating to shows whenever possible. The only place of it's kind in High Point that provides and interactive arts experience with the public. I especially appreciate the art education they offer for children and adults. I hope they continue to grow and improve.

Great art gallery with both student work and professional artwork, I loved the free children’s area that had legos, magnatiles, easels with paper and markers, and other interactive activities!

I enjoy the classes at TAG. The instructors are knowledgeable and very helpful. I have taken both pottery wheel beginner class and structural pottery class. There is plenty of time to learn and create something you can use.

The Art Gallery at Congdon Yards is a welcome addition to the Congdon Yards complex. Offering classes to various age groups, there is also a small area for children to explore art. Recently, they have added a full clay studio. Shows normally run for one to two months. Most of the shows are typically of local or regional artists in the main gallery. There are smaller hall galleries which often house elementary, middle and high school artwork. Located on the bottom floor of the complex. You can park in the large parking lot off of Elm Street. There is also parking available near the corner of Lindsay and English Road. Open only during the week from 12noon - 5pm does make it a bit tough to enjoy but there are times they are open later due to classes or show receptions.
