San Francisco Chef Melissa Perello Says Parklet Issues Could Delay Reopening of Frances Restaurant | Eater SF

"Seeing an uptick in business as Silicon Valley companies begin returning to campus, Art of the BBQ has started booking events farther out — reportedly through October — as companies arrange lunches and events for employees." - Dianne de Guzman

We had The ART of BBQ cater a birthday party for 40 guest. We went with ribs, pulled pork, grilled chicken, potato salad, mac & cheese, plus green salad. Art and his son arrived on time and set everything up for us. Very professional. The food was so good! Everything was perfectly cooked. The guest went back for seconds and wanted Art’s contact info. I would absolutely use The Art of BBQ again for a future event.

The BBQ is GREAT! I usually dont get chicken when they have tri tip and ribs but even the chicken is amazing. We used them twice for our construction BBQ and both times they killed it. Highly Recommended.

This place is awesome! Best BBQ in the area. A little hard to find, but keep looking because it delicious! Their Mac & Cheese is also the best around (I'm picky about that). You'll want to save room for the Banana Pudding. Not only is the food wonderful, but so are Art & his staff.

Place is a hidden gem in a corner. Staff was very patient with recommendations since it was our first time there. For non meat eater, the Portobello sandwich is good! Ask for the spicy version of the sauce, has a good kick. Mac & cheese was fantastic too. Will definitely come here again.

Hard to find from the car, tucked back into the corner of the strip mall. Service good, staff friendly. BBQ good, though not as smokey as I'd like. Sides are hit and miss, potatoe salad (miss), slaw (miss), corn bread (hit), Mac and Cheese (semi-hit bit too oily). Tri-tip we felt was a bit tough and cut too thick. Jalapeno poppers very good, though it's the kind of thing you will tasting hours later. Only one BBQ sauce, sweet.

One of the few places that does bbq right. Had the chicken, Mac and cheese and baked beans. The accompanying cornbread was just what I needed. So good. The meat was actually cooked on a grill and smoked. It was juicy and tender. The baked beans were good even though they were missing green peppers and onions in them. The mac and cheese was baked which is a VERY important step in prepping Mac and cheese. Overall this southern girl was impressed.

It's our first time ordering here and it'll be our last. I ordered the " tasty combo" which comes with 2 meats and 2 sides. I chose the pork ribs and the tri tip. The ribs were dry but it did have some flavor without the sauce. The trip tip was much better. It was medium rare with lots of flavor. My kid ordered the boneless chicken from the A la carte section. He said he had better, it was on the dry side too. The 2 sides was the island mac and potato salad. Both lacked flavor, I had to add a few pinches of S&P. Our total was $25 and change. The boneless thigh was $5 and the balance was for the 3 ribs, 3 small slices of the tri tip and the 2 sides. Lastly, when we left with our order the teenager who took our order. Didn't say a word. No thank you or acknowledgement. She just handed us our order and just continued talking with her co-worker.

The BBQ meat was okay - the meats were tender but it lacked any deep flavor. Ribs were tough and fatty, chicken was bland, tried tip was a bit dry but the pulled pork was really good. They had BBQ sauce on the table but it was soo sweet, and good BBQ meat shouldn't be slathered in sauce anyways. The sides we're pretty standard but also forgettable. Liked the cornbread with whipped honey butter and pulled pork the best.
