"Norwalk Art Space Cafe is as local as it gets—it’s a seemingly simple space located inside a museum that features art by artists from the community, many of their ingredients are sourced from nearby bakeries and restaurants, and proceeds help fund their free art classes. Literally anything in their baked goods display case is worth getting, but you should always order the cheddar and chive biscuit with black pepper. Ask them to warm it up and place some butter on top, and then go ahead and order a second one. They also serve lunch here, but this space is best for a decadent brunch while catching up with friends over a freshly prepared french toast bake that’s swimming in a pool of buttery blueberry sauce and sprinkled with lavender sugar. photo credit: Sam Schwab photo credit: Sam Schwab photo credit: Sam Schwab" - Ciera Velarde

Google
Nice place situted in an art gallery featuring local artists. Fresh-made sandwiches, bowls, salads, and breakfast foods. Good choice of coffees and teas as well. Pastries are very tasty. Sandwiches are overstuffed and very good. Try the bowls too! The staff is very friendly.

Love the concept of the art gallery with a cute little cafe. Coffee is excellent. I haven't tried the baked goods. Sandwiches are okay, too greasy for my taste.

Pleasantly surprised to find such a creative and vegetarian friendly menu. The food was great. We especially enjoyed the strawberry pancakes! My coffee was perfect. No notes.

It can be hard to find places to do work in Norwalk but this is one of my favorites. The latte is delicious. They have great rotating pastry options from local spots. The art and aesthetic is gorgeous. Amazing natural light and huge windows. Free WiFi. I’ll be back OFTEN.

Google
Nice, natural light room with artwalk all over the walls (appears to be from children from the area). I had an avocado toast with scrambled egg and a cortado. Both very good. Nice clean area to sit and quiet. My only input is the building appeared closed from the outside and I thought I must be in the wrong place because it looks more like a closed museum than a coffee shop. But I took a chance and tried the door and found the cafe in the rear of the room.

Google
What a lovely place to have something delicious and see works of art too. On a clear day the sun pours into the cafe windows and it is just delightful. I had a Scallion "PAN"-cake with fried eggs and chili/tamari sauce, excellent. Took a pastry home to my husband (after all, it was Valentine's Day) only wish I'd bought two of them.

Google
Hidden gem that my wife and I come to on a weekly basis. We get our art fix and then sit down to enjoy the most delicious Mocha Latte around and delectable food items. Wife loves their Bowl and I love their Soft Egg Croissant. How they serve up such delicious creations in such a little space is amazing.

Google
The Art Space Cafe came highly recommended by friends and did not disappoint. Nestled inside the Art Space art gallery the café has a great ambience for an afternoon reprieve. Try the Latte and Avocado Toast with a sunnyside up egg!

Yelp
I've been meaning to try Art Space Cafe for some time! The staff are incredibly friendly and were very patient with my questions about ingredients used to make their products. I love that they support local businesses by using their products (Westport Farmers Market, Flour Water Salt Bread). The cafe is incorporated in the art gallery, which is so unique. You just have to see it for yourself! Everything is so dainty and aesthetic. The coffee was great! My banana bread was oddly hard and dry, not sure why. But my friend thoroughly enjoyed her meal. Will be back soon!

Yelp
Amazing food and lovely staff. Couldn't recommend more! It's got a nice atmosphere. Will say you can't tell from the street that there open so check the door.

Yelp
Super cute space and they've got such a nice variety of drinks and food! I absolutely loved the Irish cream cold brew and it was one of the best cold brews I've had

Yelp
Best food adventure!! This lil cafe is the back of a gorgeously converted church turned art gallery. The art is cool, but the culinary art that is happening here is unbelievable!! I had The Good Bowl, and it definitely is aptly named. It's packed with perfectly cooked beets, sweet potatos, wild rice, and THE CREAMIEST tahini - I'm drooling just thinking about it again. Every bite was a flavor journey that you both didn't want to end but also couldn't wait to get to the next bite. The Green Goddess Salad was also awesome - simplicity refined. Their drink specials were things I'd neither heard of nor even thought about putting together. Like, cold brew and pineapple juice? What the what??! I had the espresso with tonic and ginger syrup. It was like my morning coffee hooked up with a ginger ale. It was WEIRD but I wasn't mad about it! The only thing weirder than the drink specials was the art itself - and I mean that in the best possible way. Grab your best culinarily adventurous friend and go treat yourself to a lunch you will not soon forget!!

Yelp
Outstanding food and the people who work here care. Incredible scrambled eggs (if you've ever had ill cooked eggs you know what I mean), pastries and the best coffee drinks! And the ambiance is terrific. Go here!

Yelp
The peanut butter oatmeal was delicious, tasting like an elevated version of the classic childhood combination of peanut butter and jelly. It was so comforting! The portion was large and filling, so I ended up having leftovers. The concord grape lemonade was also amazing! The grape flavor shined and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. Can't wait to continue trying their whole menu!

Yelp
What a cute find! Great casual and unique place to grab brunch or lunch. It's small, so better for smaller groups. They have multiple vegan and gluten free options, and you can browse the art gallery, full of work from students and local artists, before or after your meal. It's behind-the-counter service, but very friendly and helpful with suggestions and recommendations. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Everything here is delicious and fresh. All the pastries ; we've tried a lot! And the food and drinks as well. Love that you can view some cool art as you wait for you food. Unique and yum brunch spot!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious, incredible place for a cozy bite or coffee. Everything is community based which makes it feel even more special. Put away your own plates, art all over from local folks, even ingredients from locally sourced spots. FSW bread for the win. Coffee and Matcha is spectacular. My father and I discovered PICKLED tofu here and it was a game changer. A small kitchen so you know it's all done with attention and love. This is by far my favorite spot in Norwalk. I always leave feeling calm, happy and FULL. Thank you Art Cafe

Yelp
The scrambled eggs are perfectly made. The cafe is quiet, clean and spacious. Patrons are respectful of noise level. I appreciate that the cafe used glass plates, mugs and reusable utensils to avoid any unnecessary waste. The gallery is adjoined and is always enjoyable to wander through and observe the art. The cafe is a great setting for reading, a quiet game of chess, drawing or studying. I personally find it to be a quieter alternative to a busy coffee shop and enjoy it!

Yelp
What a fun venue! Breakfast/brunch at the Art Space is the perfect weekend getaway. Food is phenomenal with creative menu, at a very affordable cost. The atmosphere is fun, and make sure to say hi to the volunteers working around the space!

Nixo A.

Yelp
A perfect 'anti brunch' brunch for me: I was looking for something different from both a food and ambiance perspective and I got both. The venue is unique, we took the time to tour the different art pieces on the 3 levels and then sat and ordered beautifully crafted sandwiches. Simple service but one can feel a solid organization in the back, well thought recipes and great execution. Thanks ADK for the initiative, the volunteers for their help and the staff behind this cafe for a nice time.

Yelp
The Art Space Cafe is in my opinion, the best and most original café in all of Norwalk. The coffee and food creations use 100% real ingredients, are house-made and never include artificial syrups or flavors. Their lunch and breakfast menu includes delicious, non-traditional delights such as carrot soup, pizza baguette, and much more. Alcoholic beverages like wine can be found on the menu as well! If you didn't already love the Art Space for their delicious concoctions, you'll love that their proceeds go to the art program within the gallery, supporting free classes for local high school students and a resident artist. This café doubles as a rotating, local gallery, giving guests the chance to see the latest exhibit and live music on weekends.

Yelp
Beyond Bill Taibe recipes, it is outstanding that the staff remembers my name and what I usually order. Of course the art which is crafted exceeds expectations.

Yelp
Breakfast scrambled eggs are divine! Coffee fantastic & the art is profound and interesting

Yelp
Incredible atmosphere, outstanding food, and very friendly staff. The pastries and egg dishes were excellent.

Yelp
Had been meaning to check this place out and finally visited. It does take some time for food items, since it's a small staff (which they note) so would order ahead of time, but otherwise walk around and enjoy the art! The wait is so worth it! The menu is actually quite extensive and imaginative. I ordered the PLT sandwich and it is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Cold brew is great too! Will def come again.

Pet S.

Yelp
What a glorious place! The dedication to community and art, all while serving the best food I've ever eaten??? Which then funds the mission? I've never experienced food like this. It is a revelation.

Yelp
Great coffees, sandwiches and baked goods in a cool setting. Order your food, browse the gallery, eat and then browse some more. Go-to's for me are the Avocado Toast (make sure you add on kimchee), Overnight Oats and iced chai latte with an espresso shot. Avocado tofu sandwich, Hoodoo Brown Turkey sandwich with spicy Mayo and pepper relish are also great. Friends swear by tuna. If they have Bomboloni (big filled donut) get one. Exactly what Norwalk needs.

Bridget S.

Yelp
Great options for coffee and tea. The avocado toast was really good. Can't wait to try more food.

Yelp
