Visited this Ashford for their brunch and I have to say the food was great! I had the sampler appetizer, along with steak and eggs. I have to say they made an error with it, but the server took care of that right away, she was amazing, unfortunately I forgot her name. I’m glad they fixed the issue because what I really wanted was SUPER tasty!! The chicken tenders on my plate were nice and fresh and the quesadilla was perfect. I didn’t think the food was going to be as good as it was and I was pleasantly surprised. it was our first time here and it was joyful. The atmosphere though it was early was fantastic for a sports fan with TVs everywhere and a huge bar area! We were a bit bummed out because the entire rooftop had been rented to a private party which I think is very silly, considering that is one of the main attractions at this place. At worse a portion of the rooftop should be left out for everyday paying guests. I guess I should have called ahead but it did say every Sunday. Overall a fantastic place with an awesome atmosphere for any sports enthusiast, I will definitely return again. Keep up the great work and one thing that was clearly noticeable was everyone was so nice when we walked in. I would want to see how this please is with a party or something on a Fri or Sat night. My first visit here wasn’t the best, but this time around completely made up for it. We were seated right away with no wait, and since the weather was nice, we chose to sit outside. The ambiance is solid—relaxed but lively. If you’re not on a date, I’d even suggest bringing a card game to pass the time. We happened to come on Taco Tuesday and didn’t even know it. The deal runs 7pm to close, with a 3-taco minimum across the board: • $2 chicken or steak tacos • $3 shrimp tacos • $4 short rib tacos • $5 Coronas / Modelos • $7 margaritas (regular, spicy, mango) • $7 Palomas I had two strawberry margaritas that were strong, smooth, and worth every dollar. To start, I ordered the crispy calamari—it came out fried perfectly, not chewy, just the right crunch. My friend had wings, and those were good too. But the highlight was definitely the chicken tacos. Served with onions, cilantro, and salsa verde, they were flavorful, filling, and cooked just right. I skipped the cheese and sour cream, but they still hit. We originally planned on entrées, but the tacos were so good and filling that we didn’t need more. It wasn’t overly crowded, the food and drinks hit the spot, and overall this visit left a much better impression. I’d definitely come back.

Went to The Ashford because I heard great things about their brunch and rooftop area. Conner,Kenny, Brandon thank you so much for your exceptional service! You made my birthday a very happy one and my friends & I really enjoyed ourselves! For food we tried the steak and eggs, the chicken and waffles, chicken sliders, and the hangover burger ! The hangover burger was the star of the show , it was flavorful and delicious! Brunch ends at 4 so get there early enough to order and to also enjoy their $3 mimosas! The hangover burger is available on the dinner menu as well. The rooftop was full when we initially tried to go up so we ended up eating on the main level and going up afterwards. It was beautiful weather and the DJ was playing great music, old and new hits! We enjoyed frozen drinks out of pineapples 🍍 I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at The Ashford! Thank you guys again !!

Came here for a quick bite after work… food was ok, but the service was pretty bad. The waitress seem to be “on something” and it’s not the first time this happen to me. The quality of the service is just awful… had to ask for my check to the host multiple times… the waitress never checked on me. Also she passed in front of me and ignored me… she was kissing a guy. This is so disrespectful for me, I was in a rush to take my uber back home and they made me wait 10 mins to cash me out. Never coming back

Had an amazing experience, Amelia was a great server. Created an awesome vibe that is rarely seen in the hospitality food business. Definitely asking for her if you're ever in the area. 11/10

Took my wife here for her birthday, we ordered Caesar Salads, pineapple teriyaki wings, calamari, and waffle fries, for drinks we had shots of don Julio and strawberry margaritas. The food was great and the drinks was on point to. If you never been to the ashford trust it’s worth the trip…

Ambiance is dope, this time we sat at the bar which I usually dont do and was a great experience… Nysa is a bartender there and is VERY PLEASANT AND ATTENTIVE.. ask for her when you come in i promise..

My go-to spot in JC. Amelia blessed us with great service for Saturday brunch. DJ had the 90s and 2000s hits going. After you have a modest breakfast, come here for a good time.

Randomly needed up at The Ashford on a Friday night. The overall experience was GREAT! Although the rooftop was closed for a private event the vibes, food, & service were perfect. The music was varied with a little bit of everything so that was also a good thing.

The rooftop is decorated super cute and there were enough fans to keep the place cool. There's lots of seating but only a few spots with shade (bar area or in the middle of the floor where there are some umbrellas). Waitresses were super sweet and accommodating when we wanted to move to the shaded bar area I ordered the crispy buffalo chicken salad with a side of tater tots and it really hit the spot! The tater tots were soooooooooo crispy, literally to perfection!!!! The buffalo chicken salad was exactly what I needed. I wanted something savory (like a burger but I wasn't in the mood for a burger) without being too heavy. I had some leftover and it was still delicious later on :)

I had one of the worst experiences at The Ashford on Saturday night. I went with a group of friends, and the place was extremely crowded. While my friend was dancing, he accidentally bumped into a server, and she immediately gave him a very dirty look. I calmly told her it was an accident and to relax, but then the manager jumped in, telling us to "calm down" and saying it wasn't that serious. I explained that I was only trying to de-escalate the situation because the server's reaction was unnecessary. Instead of listening, the manager approached my friend, who said there was nothing more to discuss. When the manager tried to touch his shoulder, my friend told him not to, and the manager then went to security, claiming he didn't feel comfortable with us there. Security told us we would no longer be served and needed to leave. The entire situation felt unfair and uncomfortable, and honestly, I can't help but feel it was racially motivated. We were a group of Black friends simply trying to enjoy our night, and instead we were treated with disrespect and made to leave for no valid reason. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone of color. After my experience, I went on TikTok and saw several other reviews from people of color describing similar situations at this place. That says a lot. I will never return and strongly advise others to think twice before supporting this establishment

I came to the Ashford to watch the Knicks playoff game and it was a great time. They were playing some nostalgic music which I greatly enjoyed. I was only in the bar for about an hour because it was a weekday so I caught just a snippet of the game. I came here with a friend and we both had a beer each. The beer was great; it was a light beer (a craft beer). The service was attentive but not overbearing. Cool bar with a rooftop and an extensive food menu. Great bar to catch up with friends, brunch, and a fun happy hour after work. 10/10 rec.

Love the music and vibe in this place. Drinks were okay, we got patron and pineapple Calamari was delicious! Cooked perfectly with marinara sauce on the side. Good service from the welcome and the ordering.

"Home of the $3 mimosa." I've visited The Ashford a bunch of times and I really love the overall vibe. The outside is currently decked out for the holidays and so is the inside. I love how they have a rooftop, full bar and seating all around. There's different levels such as the bar area (main floor), the upstairs seating is nice as you feel a little exclusive, then there's other areas on the top level before you get to the rooftop. Since I visited during the holidays, I tried a cocktail from their holiday menu and "The Elf in Jersey City" is my favorite. The pumpkin cream makes in it reminds me of a festive egg nog or coquito. For food, their caesar salad is pretty solid. My boyfriend really liked their chicken tacos too. I had to order the firecracker shrimp which comes with 4-5 medium size shrimp; it was delicious but I definitely needed two plates, haha! The fries are good too. In addition to good cocktails and food, the music is a mix of everything. Hip hop, R&B, Pop, Latin, etc. The music does get loud at night so if you're trying to have a heart to heart conversation, it's best to visit at another time. I never had bad service here either. You may wait a little long to get your servers attention but that's only if it's a very busy night. Our waitress gave us a gift card for waiting patiently which I thought was nice! For parking, we all know Jersey City's street parking is a gamble so if you're not trying to circle for a spot, there's a parking lot where Shake Shack is about a block or two away. Reserve it on the ParkWhiz app as it's cheaper. The Ashford is perfect for a night out, brunch and dinner. I always enjoy myself!

Went on a Tuesday evening. The bar was quite empty and also considering its the second week of January- not surprised. Hostess sat us close to the door- nice cosy spot. The waitress took our order for drinks and disappeared for almost 15 mins. We could literally see our drinks waiting at the bar. The food was average.

My friends took me here on Sunday for a birthday brunch. It was a beautiful day so it was a perfect day to sit on the rooftop. You're ID at the door so be sure to bring your ID or risk not being let in. The mimosa was good and the chicken and waffle was decent. There was a DJ playing music but he would stop it abruptly to play whatever was on the TV The staff seems also very determined to clear the glasses from the table. All I all a cool spot to visit if you're in the area. Expect to have challenge with finding parking and heavy traffic.

4 Years ago i had my bday party at the Ashford and coning back 4 years later i have to say the Ashford is still a good time!! We got a table right away. Our waitress was cool and patient considering the place is loud and u can barely hear anything. We had drinks and apps and thry were good! The empanadas were delish and the Carne Asada Fries were amaziing with huge pieces of tender steak. This place is a party. We danced and sang along to the DJ playing the top 40 hits. So fun. A lot of cool and friendly people hang out here and its really a cool vibe. I will be back!

Chill vibes and good times. This place has always stuck out to me when I have been in Jersey City . Came here with my sister and friend for a quick drink. Drinks were decent I had a mango margarita that was only 7 dollars well worth. Hostess were very welcoming upon being seated. The rooftop is so cute and def has some photo opportunities for social media.

Super fun place with good drinks and a great bar atmosphere. Service was nice and quick. The Caesar salad was also good!

I came here for my AARG Club at work holiday party. We were on the second level so I was able to overlook the downstairs area. The Ashford is very dim inside but it was decorated for the holiday. We had our own bar in our area so that was cool. Since it was an event we had open bar and appetizers. I was indulging in strawberry lemon drops and they were so tasty. The waitress definitely kept them coming. We had cesear salad, guacamole (which was very good), colossal shrimp (delicious) mac n cheese balls, and a few other items that I didn't care too much for. All in all I would return and explore some options on the menu.

My wife and I visited on a Thursday during happy hour and shared 3 small plates and 2 drinks. We had the beef sliders, calamari, and mac and cheese bites. My drink was a bit too sweet for my taste, but hers was more balanced. The sliders were excellent, with lightly toasted buns, crispy bacon, fresh tomato, and lettuce. The mac and cheese bites were a hit, especially with the sauce, which added the perfect balance of salty, spicy, and a hint of sweetness. Unfortunately, the calamari was disappointing--the breading lacked crunch and flavor. That said, the staff was quick, friendly, and accommodating since we were sitting outside with our dog. The ambiance was pleasant for a quiet Thursday evening. Overall, it was a good experience, but not necessarily a place I'd rush back to when in the area.

Ordered a burger and fries, but came with no condiments. Asked waitress for them and just saw on the bill they charged $1 for mayo. Unbelievable! Hard pass.

Cool rooftop, afford drinks and food. This is , one of those places where you're drinking so many mimosas that you don't care what the food really tastes like. Local and good vibes, Truffle fries are a must, eggs were actually over easy , but would avoid the steak it's small and they seem to only be able to cook it well done .

Once again I LOVE it! This time I went for drinks only. I got a passion fruit margarita. I like the sour taste and it was just a perfect! It was delicious. My husband had a pitcher and I love how they have the glass in the freezer because it makes it extra cold! I went on a Sunday to watch the soccer game. Wasn't packed which was perfect & music was really good. Service was quick and the bartenders are very attentive. I am obsessed!!!!

Came to the ashford this past Sunday for a birthday brunch. We had the brunch on the rooftop (not pictured), which seemed to be super popular. The mimosas are $3 & the bellini's are $5, which is pretty cheap. The bellinis were my favorite. I had the breakfast burrito. It was good, but I wish the side weren't potatoes because the burrito already had that in them and seemed like overkill. The staff was nice and efficient. The DJ was good until they started playing the basketball game over the speaker. I like the ambiance inside. The red lighting gives it a nice appeal. I feel like it'd be fun to come at night for the lounge. I'd come back but probably not to eat the brunch food, because there's nothing special about the food. I'd come back for the drinks and I'd try their dinner menu as well.

I really like this spot. I would say it's really closer to 3.5 stars and could easily improve to 4 even 5 stars if the service got better or if they mastered a few food menu items. This is right outside the train station and was a quick spur of the moment trip from the city. I went to an event here once and knew I had to come back. I was downtown Manhattan around the path train and just decided to hop on and stop by. It's a large venue and decorated well, plenty of photo ops which I love. They have a rooftop and sometimes a DJ, it's nice vibe up there. They have plenty of drink specials which is also nice. All the food I had was good here. It's just not super memorable food that makes me feel like I need to come back just for that. I haven't done brunch yet though. The only downside I would say is the service is super friendly but also inattentive. Just as you feel like they forgot about you, they show up again lol, that makes it better I guess. It could be that the venue is so large the servers have to run btwn tables spaced so far apart. I'd come back here again and try different menu items for sure.

Good food, drinks, music was pumping....but the waitress HORRIBLE!!!! Walked by a few times and never asked if we needed anything. Never gave us the lemon we asked for, never brought us silverware, She then would walk across from our table and ask if we were "good". we had to flag her down to get our check and didn't have the decency to come to the table and hand us our check.from across the room she just put it on top of my bag From the other side of our table And walked away. Thumbs down for Sophie !!!! we are visiting from Boston and this service was trash. Do better!!

Amazing staff here make you feel like home and like family. The service is so quick and fast. Shoutout to George & Ashley for always taking good care of me when i'm here for a drink after a long day of work. The atmosphere and vibes are amazing. I love the song choices as well! It's always a good time here. They have daily deals on their drinks and i always order the skirt steak and the creamy chipotle bowtie pasta. The food here is just soo yummy!! I recommend trying their skirt steak bc it's just so good, along with the sauce they serve you with. 5 stars isn't even enough for a spot like this!! It's such a gem here in Jersey City!!

Nice bar and good food. We stopped in after a birthday dinner when we weren't ready to end the night. The menu was a typically bar menu but was surprisingly good. We ordered all small bites: empanadas, chicken sliders, firecracker shrimp, and the beef skewers. Everything was well cooked and seasoned and it was enough food to share between a couple of people. The bartender that served us was really attentive, even though she was working the whole bar. I would definitely go back if in the neighborhood.

My fiancé and I are regular patrons of The Ashford in Jersey City, and this time we decided to check out the rooftop vibe. We had such a great experience! Our bartender, Valeria, was an absolute delight--attentive, friendly, and so professional, even with a busy crowd. She made our drinks perfectly, and her energy really added to the atmosphere. We're looking forward to coming back soon!

Love this place. The decor and music are fantastic and lively. The drinks and happy hour are truly delightful! It gets busy at times, so service can be a little frustrating, but nonetheless worth checking out!

The Ashford is a great place to share a fun meal with friends. I had dinner at the Ashford with a group of my friends and we had a very nice experience. On a Saturday night, it's definitely a lively spot with a DJ playing a wide range of music. The quality and amount of food that we had for the price point was excellent. Their drinks were mixed perfectly, and the garlic parmesan wings that I had as a starter were delightful. I tried the Gunpowder Pop (Tanqueray, Licor 43, lemon, hibiscus, prosecco) and Medusa (Ketel One vodka, St. Germain, blackberry purée, fresh lemon juice), and both were tasty and perfectly balanced. For my entree, I had the lobster ravioli and tried the burger. Both were excellent and quite filling. For dessert, everyone at my table ordered a chocolate lava cake, and all raved about how delicious it was! Overall, it was a delicious meal and a lively spot. If coming in the evening, IDs are checked.

Definitely a better experience this time around. It's still pretty loud here though even during off hours like 10-11am on a weekday. I love the price point and did not have to pay for parking this time because this place is located very close to the PATH train. The steak and eggs were good!

Date night was great here. The rooftop almost feels as if you're not a a rooftop lol. I like it but wish there was a better view from the top. Music great & drinks get you LIT! Shrimp 10/10. Burger 10/10. Panini 6/10

The food was delicious, the prices were also reasonable and the atmosphere was gorgeous. However, I would not recommend this place because of how they pushed us out. We had a reservation for 5 of us, sat down on time, ordered our food and ate. As soon as they cleared our plates, without offering us dessert or letting us finish our drinks, we were told we had to take the check and pay because the table was reserved. We explained that we also had a reservation and literally just took our last bites. They woman told us we were out of time and could sit somewhere else if we wanted to, but not at the table they seated us in. This was beyond unprofessional and rude. We paid, grabbed our coats and left. We will not be returning.

The rooftop is the place to be on a warm sunny summer afternoon! After a 5K race in Jersey City a running mate and I was looking for some cold libations to quench our thirst. The rooftop is like an oasis recalling my vacations to San Juan or the Caribbean. Plenty of seating at the bar, tables around, flat screens with the games on, and a DJ spinning some tasty tunes. Ok pricing and pretty good bar menu to nosh on. Oh, and the place is huge with multiple foors, party rooms, and a cool club decor. Now this is what a multi-use venue should be like.

I really enjoyed the drinks and the service. My only regret is not getting the bartenders name. She was the absolute best. It's decorated beautifully for the holiday as well. I would recommend coming here before the season ends. Will be coming back.

And I'm back to rave about the Ashford! They just never miss. I had dinner hear on Saturday night and luckily scored a table on the rooftop without having reservations! Their Chicken Nachos were absolutely amazing!!!! I'm not a nachos kind of girl, but these were made to perfection! My friends got the Penne Pesto and the Salmon Kale Salad. We could not stop raving about how good everything was! Will always recommend!

I have to give this a better review. On October 28th I came here to celebrate my birthday and I had an amazing time. I must say that from the time of booking to the end of the night everything went pretty good. All of my friends and family enjoyed the place, music, and food. Thank you Vanessa and all of the other girls that took care of my VIP section. I can't wait to plan another event

Been here for hen it turns into a club and I had a blast! I returned with friends to visit the rooftop and it was a lot of fun ! We had some shots of clase azul and I had the Medusa which was both strong and delicious. My friend had casamigos and ginger ale, we will be back k to dinner !

First of all I been here about 4- 5 times I know a lot of people that done events here and we have spent so much money at this place but this place is usually empty on the regular with out the events so I figured okay this place should be good to go with my baby n boyfriend and today is his birthday and this is where he said he wanted to go and sit outside . First of all the waitress name is "goodness " not sure if she was being serious or messing with us. Then when I went to order my house salad I asked what's inside and she didn't know , but as soon as I went to add cheese she said they were charging me 2.00$ ! What! For shredded cheese ? She didn't even tell me what's In it I was just making sure I had cheese in my salad. She told me there is no substituting so I told her I was just adding it. She said no it's $2 lol I asked to speak to a manager she said No , at this point I'm not waisting energy with her. I said we leaving and paid on my wait out she asked me if I still wanted to talk to a manager lol oh man I really wanted to tell her off . But I left peacefully . But the Casamigos was great and the ambience is always good.

Lovely Rooftop Brunch Spot! $3 Mimosas on Saturdays and Sundays until 4pm! The rooftop was really nice and open, with several tv screens to enjoy watching sports. Great music as well. My friend and I ordered the strawberry and cream pancakes which were light and fluffy. The shrimp tacos were pretty salty. The wings were cooked just how we like. Service could be improved as we had to ask for the manager after noticing several tables seated after us received their food. Overall good vibes and happy to try The Ashford again sometime.

This place is amazing! The food was really good. Service not so much, but the atmosphere, music, Christmas decor! Oh my god! They had me at the entrance where it looks so over the top, then you walk in, Christmas wonderland. You must go here great vibes. The Mac balls were huge and delicious.

Came here on a Wednesday night it was not busy at long. Its a big restaurant/ bar and was decorated with lots of lights. For appetizers we ordered buffalo calamari which was good and was just a bit hot also the firecracker shrimp only 4 pieces it was not spicy. For dinner I got the skirt steak with risotto. I didn't like it so much. I felt it was bland and didn't like the risotto at all. My husband had the lamp chops and he enjoyed his dish. We got a tour of the place by one of the workers. Looks like it is a fun place to go on the weekends. They have a DJ and rooftop area.

Few weeks ago, my friend and I decided to go somewhere fun and different for dinner. Behold we chose Ashford. Ashford was quite enormous and had numerous floors -- including a Rooftop. We decided to go there for drinks and dinner... well I got dinner, hehe, which was the Penne Pesto Shrimp, which I will admit the portion size was just right for my tummy! My friend's beverages and my food both came promptly. There, we had a terrific time. The bartenders were entertaining company. There, I even made some pals. Not to mention, the place turns into a club like feel. Jamming music was played that day. However, it does tend to get packed. OH, My friend and I did go to the Rooftop just for desserts though. A beautiful view with delicious desserts was a perfect combination! Overall, Ashford has a diverse population, fantastic service, and a great atmosphere. I would recommend my Yelpers to try it out despite the low ratings. :)

I enjoy coming here because they're open pretty late, which comes in handy when me and my bestie are looking for somewhere to eat after picking me up from a later in the day flight! There's many things to choose from and the food is nothing special taste wise, however it's not terrible. They do different happy hour specials throughout the week, this was a Thursday night. Wasn't a fan of the wings, once you bite into them you smell that 'chicken' smell of you know what I mean. I do not like that at all. My friend brought them home to her dog. Flat bread was okay. Like I said the taste is nothing special, but it's not terrible and there's plenty to choose from. The lamb chops I should have gotten medium well but they were okay as well. Usually a nice vibe and I believe it turns into some late night spot with a dj after a certain time.

We may need to go again for a more thorough review- I'll start with what we have so far. We went for brunch - love the mimosas. Made for a fun time. We did: Truffle Fries - I enjoyed, nice flavor, ate it all. Avocado Toast - the texture was slight over-mushy and would have rather not the whole baby tomatoes but hey mimosas so I had to fill my belly. Steak & Eggs/ Homefries - he enjoyed Our waitress was great, should have got her name. I like for ppl to get their direct props. Live energy and I like that about brunch so I do wanna go back to get more feel of this place.

If you're looking for a place with a good vibe and good music in Jersey City, this is definitely the place. Usually at places like this I wouldn't expect the food to be that good but this place surprised me. The food was really good and the prices were even better ! I ordered shrimp tacos which were delicious, and only $12. I also had their Passionfruit Margarita which was also really good. This is definitely somewhere I would visit again for a good time. Also, this was on Cinco De Mayo and the wait for our party of 10 was only about 30 minutes, which was great given how last minute it was.

Great food and drinks price was good. Just take a little long to come serve you. The ambiance is also good. Will go back again!

This place is gorrrgeousssss!!! Vibrant, chic spot that's perfect for a night out with friends, especially if you're in the mood to dress up and take some photos. Their drinks are creative and taste delicious, definitely living up to the hype and adding to the fun atmosphere. The servers are attentive and quick, too! However, the food fell short; it wasn't bad, but it didn't match the quality of the drinks or the vibe of the place. If you plan on mainly eating, it might disappoint, but for a fun night out with good drinks and great photo ops, it's a solid choice. 4 stars because while it's a fantastic spot to hang out with the girls, the food quality doesn't fully deliver on the potential that The Ashford's ambiance promises.

The down fall was the "roof top" it was my birthday and my friends and I had dinner that for some reason was only appetizers? I had reached out to the event coordinator and never heard back so booking a reservation was difficult bc I had a party of 8 and we have to sit and two separate tables and when the rooftop wasn't even closing 30 mins till close they were rushing my friends and I out and security were very rude and handsy ! It was packed and busy and we noticed other people weren't being rushed out from the "rooftop" food was okay but we wanted real food

First time stopping in here and only got a drink. The layout is nice with plenty of seating and very instagrammable. I got a Jack and Coke and thought it was more Coke than Jack.

Made reservations for 7pm & was seated as soon as we walked in, the girl who greeted us at the front was very nice (it was also her first day lol) we sat at a booth up top because we didn't want to be alongside ppl walking pass while we eat etc. I ordered the pan seared salmon & my gf had the pork chops, we both gave it a 7.5 out of 10 because it needed more flavor, they also played good music that wasn't too loud, but besides that the service was very good & the ambience was a vibe.

I had a lovely time at The Ashford in JC. My group arrived for an early Sunday brunch and we were seated in the rooftop dining area. The menu is a decent size and I was able to find something for my needs. Everyone loved their food and found the prices totally reasonable. They offer a great deal on mimosas and the atmosphere is fantastic for hanging with friends. It had rained that morning, so it smelled a little musty where we were sitting, but it quickly aired out as we dined.
