The Athenian Souvlaki & Gyros

Had a huge lunch here the other day, we tried the pork wrap and also the chicken box which came with fries, pitta, salad, halloumi fries. Also tried the courgette fritters which were pretty rich and delicious! The food was delicious and we left very satisfied.

Considering I’ve never in the building it has left such a good impression on me and my partner. Their food is perfect every time and so fresh! Also the cutest thank you Lipton ice tea for free 🥹🥹🥹 out now go to take away!

Was recommended to try a Gyro here and it was a great experience. From ordering via an app on a tablet to quick friendly service. Even though the package appeared small it was actually a satisfying portion. Would highly recommend.

Yummy vegan food at a good price. With soft wraps. Fresh produce. Tasty plant based meat options and chips.

Tried vegan wrap and it was astonishingly good. Though it didnt have robust flavour like meat, marinated Seitan and tofu still tasted delicious. Could easily be an alternative to meat one. Recommend to everyone in The Box Park to try out once :)

I have mixed feelings about this fast-food place. I ate "The Greedy"- my 1st picture's the PR, 2nd image mine (obv)... The comparative is relevent because PR shot is missleading: seems 2(!) dips provided however in reality only 1 dip (free to chose)! That's is served in plastic pot + not environmentally friendly! Ingredients were OK, but the beef felt somewhat to soft and raw-raw (3rd pic), both meats (pork&beef) were not hot enough nor feel freshly done. If you're hungry it fills you but I wouldn't eat here again. For £9.50 this really isn't good value for money.

Food use to taste better here not sure why the quality is going down, use to be my favourite spot for souvlaki but not anymore, the last fee time we had it meat and chicken wasn’t completely cooked and we could see the pinkish colour in them. I would really like to have it again if the quality goes back like before. The staff are nice and the location is great.

Good taste, first time for greek-style street food restaurant in UK, the food looks good and smell of cheese, feta or some kind of greek sauce is really good. I dont know anything about the greek culture other than philosophies but one thing that i can tell about this street food vendor is i like the taste it is delicious what else do people want? But sometimes i think the staffs are frustrated and look unhappily angry when customers are choosing or asking for some information about greek food when they dont have any idea about greece or greek culture

Who said London food isn't good? Because The Athenian had some of the BEST Greek food I've ever had. I got the ground lamb & beef gyro, which comes with tomatoes, red onions, parsley, and fries. They had a few sauces to accompany the gyro and I just asked for all three because why not try them all? The meat was so delicious and the veggies were super fresh! I love the added fries for texture. The sauces complimented the gyro incredibly. I would definitely recommend The Athenian to anyone who loves Greek food!

We've been a few times and have always found the food good, the prices reasonable, and the service quick. It's a lot of fairly standard Greek options - lamb skewer, beef skewer, halloumi, and lots of gyros. My favourite option is the gyros box. It's a ton of food and it comes with pita and hummous anyway so you can effectively create your own mini wraps. It comes with some salad, chips, and what they said was tsatsiki but is more like a honey mustard flavour. It's all very tasty. You can get delivery as well as in case you feel like avoiding the crowds at boxpark.

We took two laps, perusing the menus of more than a dozen eateries, hoping something special would grab our attention to make deciding a little easier. The Athenian was an excellent choice. You can order as much or as little food, depending on your hunger level. Our orders were identical -- the "Super," which comes with one grilled meat (we both chose a chicken skewer) & halloumi in a box (instead of a wrap) which included oregano fries, salad, pita, & choice of dip (we chose tzatziki.)Decisions, decisions! Everything, including our side of smoked aubergine dip, was absolutely delectable; such fresh, well-seasoned ingredients. Price: about £10 per person, including drink. I hope the rest of the eateries here are as satisfying & delicious as The Athenian.

Fantastic Greek food! We came around 8 pm and all of the gyros were sold out, but that didn't end up being a problem because I would say everything on the menu is equally delicious. The boxpark location has a very fun, loud, social vibe and you can take your meal to one of the seating areas, to chow down and meet some new people. You basically choose between regular, super, meaty, and greedy depending on how hungry you are and then between a wrap, box, or "naked" depending on how you would like to eat it. I ordered a "Super" (1 meat choice + halloumi) souvlaki box for £7.50 which ended up being more than enough food!

What an unexpected find! It was a cold rainy day and I was on the hunt for some nice food to takeaway and I stumbled upon this place. Mmm hmmm! I should add.. DISCLAIMER: I didn't read the review before trying, which made the first taste all the more satisfying. I wasn't sure what to get and so I was pleased the server guided me to the box, as it was essentially the souvlaki just in an easier to eat format. Thank youuuuuu! I got the chicken and halloumi, which came with a few fries, greek flatbread and a ton of salad.. Nom! I opted the for the spicy Greek yogurt based sauce, which really added taste to the meal and was a great touch! For £7, the dish was super full of flavour and left me full for hours!! Hurraaaaaah, if you're in box park, make this your PLACE!!

This spot is a great option in BOXPARK Shoreditch, an awesome food hall with live music + lots of food stands. I got the chicken gyro that came stuffed with fries and Athenian sauce (sweet mustard sauce). Was amazing and definitely had a lot more items on the menu that I'll have to come back for.

In my search for amazing Greek food in London, I came across this place, which opened its doors yesterday with succulent, delicious meat skewers in traditional pita bread and oregano chips. Easy, quick and surprisingly healthy Greek street food with great taste! I suggest you go try one as soon as possible!

I was looking for a good souvlaki in London and I came across this place which has good reviews, but I was a bit disappointed. The souvlaki was kinda bland, it did not even have tzatziki sauce in it. :( Would not go back.

I have not been to The Athenian (yet!) in person, but I have ordered delivery from them several times via Deliveroo. This place is awesome! I have only had three items, but can say they are each delicious and I will definitely be having them again -- the chicken & halloumi souvlaki wrap is my absolute favorite, plus their oregano fries and sweet potato fries are both great. Portions and flavors are plentiful. The courgette fritters were the only downfall, but I am not sure if they are too moist and not fried long enough and that's why they don't work, or if the charm was lost during transport (thought they arrived quickly). Fritters aside, this is a place I will frequent again and again.

Delish! I had a halloumi wrap and it was very tasty. The sauce is tangy and different, and the salad fresh. There was loads of halloumi in it, too. It was more than I could eat. We also shared some spicy feta dip. We shouldn't have ordered it as it was sooooo much food - but the dip was good, too. I'd like to go eat in (we had it Deliverooed) and try a box maybe. A trip to Boxpark is in order!

Food is good but not exceptional for the price. GReat, the other Greak in the area has more authentic food and ingredients. On the plus side, service is friendly.

Give me more! I tried the halloumi box and it was delicious! Huge portion for only £6 and a lot of halloumi (when sometimes you get just one or two slice for this sort of thing) highly recommended if you are in the area for a quick refuel!

Pretty subpar for Greek food. Wouldn't come here again. I had the souvlaki and the meat was dry, the toppings were okay but not that many options.

Very fresh vegetables in our salad and wrap. Great flavors. Lots of great options on the menu. Meat cooked to a superb juiciness. Generous amounts of feta on the salad. Excellent service. Super fun boxpark location.

Just had an awesome gyro at this new place in boxpark. Quick meal and easy to take away. Nothing too fancy which is perfect. Great first impressions especially for their opening day.
