Legal Spray Paint wall right in the South Side of Provi that has an abundance of surface to tag! There is a stage in the back as well as multiple chairs. It is a gated facility with an incredible mural on the front of the building! See you there, happy tagging loves.

Google
The best organization for local artist (like myself), give it a quick visit you never know if you'll see someone doing legal graffiti (the walls of the building are legal for graffiti artist to paint on it) there's a spray paint shop inside and you never know if there'll be a artist showcase going on.

So sick of living next to this "establishment"! Constantly full of obnoxious teens blasting their music for hours. You're in a residential area hello

Yelp
This review is for The Avenue Concept Downtown Self-Guided Public Art Tour. It was a beautiful spring day and we were looking for a fun, socially distanced, outside activity. We had planned on several occasions to check out the many murals Providence has to offer, and this 70 plus sunny day beckoned us to do so. The Avenue Concept Downtown Self-Guided Public Art Tour lists seven mural locations on their map: * Blue Moon * We Are One Flock-Young, Gifted, and Black * She Never Came Mural * Adventure Time Mural * Misty Blue Mural * Still Here Mural * VOTE mural And they also have four sculpture locations: * The Icosahedron + The Rusty Spire * Follow Your Heart * Collusion-Cotyledon-Condemned * Sail Dream We were able to see all of these during a walk that lasted about 90-minutes. It's a fairly flat route, though it does require waiting for lights to cross a few busy roads. It covers a fairly significant amount of downtown Providence which is a very walkable city. Their website says their tours are best experienced using an app (both iPhone or Android). Through the app you can follow suggested routes or create your own path through this open-air art gallery. The app provides an interactive experience, including photos, videos and thought-provoking prompts to help you go deeper. You can scan QR codes for more info, read about the art on the app, or read the plaques which are next to the murals and sculptures. To say that many of these murals are inspiring is an understatement. One of our favorite murals is 45 feet high, and as you approach the base, you will be amazed at the scope and effort which was undertaken. Our personal favorites included Still Here by Gaia, She Never Came, and the Misty Blue Mural. That said, they are all pretty amazing, and we also enjoyed the sculptures too. Their app is very easy to use, and if you select the Follow Me option, it also points out points of interest. For example, as we walked by 130 Westminster Street the app alerted us that were passing The Westminster Arcade, an historic shopping center built in 1828, as the first enclosed shopping mall in the United States. Bottom line, if you're looking for a great way to enjoy some beautiful artwork in the great outdoors, while getting in a little exercise (a 90 minute walk), check out The Avenue Concept Downtown Self-Guided Public Art Tour in downtown Providence.

Yelp
I first became aware of this organization through their giant murals in PVD. After viewing their website I see they have several art installations around town. A smart phone app has been created to take a free, self guided tour of these installations. Sweet. What a great way to see the city and get some info on the artwork on display. They also have a YouTube page with artistic videos you can view and offer a number of programs for artists. You can check it all out through their website. https://theavenueconcept.org/ I recommend you download the app before you plan to use it, and read some information they have included there, then make a plan on what you want to see, where you want to visit. There is a *lot* of information there that would be good to have before hand and videos about the artists which give you insight on their project. This organization has four main mission elements: Funding and supporting the creation and installation of artwork in public spaces. Creating public art encounters...incorporating art...into urban environment.. Developing programs,... and funding streams that make public art projects... viable and sustainable. Promoting art and telling stories... They believe 'art belongs in public spaces' and I agree completely! Art inspires your imagination, appreciation for what is possible, makes you think, and gives pleasure. It livens up the cityscape of concrete and tar. Adds dimension and interest to parks and supports the artists who are trying to bring their passion to their communities. It's a win for the artist, for the community and for the city. And it takes people like those at The Avenue Concept to make all this possible. Whether you are local, or visiting, download the app and take a tour of the city. It's a great way to spend a day (hour, week...) and you may learn something about a city you think you already know all about.

Yelp
In researching for our 3 night trip to Providence I came across the Avenue Concept's website and mapped out a couple of early morning walks designed to view a variety of the public murals. These did not disappoint in the least. theavenueconcept.org

Yelp
I was here for the annual PeckaKucha night (I think this is the 4th year they've hosted). While these nights have been my only personal interaction with the Avenue Concept, I love what Yarrow Thorne and this organization has done for the city. If you haven't already seen all of the new art installations in downtown Providence, take a chance to walk around and take a look. All of these are courtesy of the Avenue Concept and their goal to make public art accessible to the general population. Besides beautifying downtown Providence, the Avenue concept also sells spray paint, grows a garden full of herbs (which they use in their special drinks at events), and hosts skate nights and such.

Yelp
Great venue for artsy events, reasonable prices, very spacious whether you host the event inside and or outside. Very friendly and positive minds. They help the youth in the community which is also a plus on working with them. They offer a great collection of art and spray cans too choose from, they also provide equipment as in mixer and Mac computer. They do have parking across the street.
