The Avenue Sports Grill

Great sports bar. Weather permitting, the open garage doors make it like a patio bar. Food is great, onion rings are legendary. Bar and staff are very good as well. I own the Concierge Network in the hotels and we send guests there regularly and always hear positive feedback.

We found our new favorite local bar! The Avenue Sports Grill features a central bar and plenty of TVs. They provide a fun and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for watching any game. With good food and refreshing beer, you’ll definitely want to give this sports bar a try!

I have been to lower Greenville many times, but this was my first time at Avenue Grill and Bar. The service was great, the bartenders were attentive, and had a good atmosphere. The drinks were pricey. If you want to see their live music it would be a good place to go, but there are other bars with better priced drinks in the area.

Absolutely delicious. I am always so scared to order chicken and/or bacon when I go places because no one ever cooks them the way that I personally enjoy them. I was not displeased. The staff was very nice. First time there, and I was very confused . I was able to figure everything out very quickly. Define would eat here agian and would recommend to a friend.

I come into Dallas for work on occasion and I loveeee coming here with my friends on the weekends for sports games and even just to hangout. Fernando and his staff are so great! Looking forward to seeing them again soon!

*Dog Friendly-Must be on a leash* New to Dallas and I live in the area. What a fun place. Enjoyed the conversation with the employees that interacted with us. Much laughter. I will visit again. I come here for the atmosphere, wings and fries!!!

First of all service is great and food is great. But if you want to come here with 2 women, this bar is full of men that degrade women and the female waitstaff. I actually feel sorry for the women who work here and tipped extra because they probably deal with more than what I witnessed. I overheard a group of men saying sexist remarks about the waitress. It was upsetting and made me uncomfortable. If you are a man, you will feel welcome here or a woman that goes with a man. I live nearby and tried this place twice. Each time, aggressive male behavior. It's sad because I like their food.

Went to the Texas vs OU game and it was a blast...great food, excellent food and a vibrant atmosphere. I met a dozen or so friends and enjoyed the game with lots of laughs cheers (and some jeers), delicious food and fabulous beverages. I had the ceviche which was white wine-based vs tomato-based. So light and fresh - absolutely scrumptious! I also had a brunch Blood Mary - tasty and just $7. We had many servers (it was PACKED due to the game) and they did a Class A job navigating through the crowd. Two thumbs up...be sure to give this neighborhood gem a whirl!

Awesome bar and environment. Our waitress was great! Not only was she down to earth but was always checking up on us.

Light veggies with thick and chunky blue cheese. A friend had the ham and cheese sandwich- so thick! Awesome!! Summary Popular sports bar with lots of tvs-outstanding service! Love this place!!!

I've been coming here for a while and each time I've been more and more impressed. They're one of the busier sports bars in Dallas that's not a mega sports bar but you can always count on great service, quick (strong) drinks and above average bar food (Lupe I think is the head cook). Keep up the great work and I'll see you soon.

Food is good this far but the music is overly loud especially for a sports bar sounds like we're in a club which would be fine if we were. I'd be dancing ! I would rather be listing to one of the 3 major games on right now. Service has been great too Marie is hitting it out of the park and this is from an ex bartender !

Pretty good deal for just $9 on Tuesdays. Got in & out very quickly, NCAAF bowl games on too!

Love coming to this place on Mondays , bartenders are top tier and excellent service . Appreciate Abby and Bri for the hospitality. Try something from the Lupe's Specials all items were great.

If you're looking for a great weekday spot to chill or weekend spot to pregame, The Avenue on Greenville is top notch. I went to The Avenue on a Monday night for a fantasy football draft plus on a Friday night to grab drinks, and the food + service was phenomenal! With football and basketball season coming up, I'll for sure be back at The Avenue. Great prices and drinks too! Easy walking too from other Lower Greenville spots if you have a long day and night.

Great food and service. Sometimes they have live music. Very limited arcade or bar game options. No billiards, which is what you expect for a sports bar. Some of the patrons that go there aren't the nicest people, so I would watch out for that. Also, the gravy sometimes has a weird taste and off-white color, but sometimes it tastes fine and is white...

This place is packed but I got lucky and got an empty table quick! The food was super good and the staff was attentive and they are quick to clean up food as well. Our server Bre was great!

Parking is tight but what do you expect of Lower Greenville Ave. the Garage doors are open for extra ventilation. Service was on point, everyone was so nice. Go hangout and let me know. Now for that Rueben sandwich. It one of the best that I have ever had. Grilled rye bread and it came out hot, that's what I'm talking about, with onion ring which were so crunchy and good very good bite. One person order the guacamole and chips, salsa and queso. That little spicy bite of guac was amazing! In the area give it a try.

Great place to stop and watch the game and have great food. We had great service and enjoyed the local scene.

First will start off by saying I've been a loyal Avenue patron for a couple of years now and between myself and a small group of friends have spent several thousand dollars here. Unfortunately we will not be back as they wrongfully towed my car to somewhere far south Dallas. Even though that parking lot is for patrons of the entire strip mall, and the tow sign doesn't say which establishment the parking lot is for, Avenue was the one who towed it, so just be wary. Plenty of other way better bars - don't waste your time here. Food is shit and drinks are same as any other dive bar.

The Avenue sports bar what can I say this place is second to none when it comes to entertainment food and ambience go in during lunchtime and get the best meal you've ever gotten at a sports bar this is not just a sports bar it's a restaurant so if you wanna be like me and get the best you can get go to the Avenue I guarantee you you'll make the best bet

Be very careful with what you order!!!!Only had house margaritas. Was charged a base price + up charge of $3 + a liquor charge. The total each was $24. When asked the bartender and then manager the response was "that's what it cost". Trust me, this place ain't Nic and Sam's!

Great company. Great owner. Owner is always involved and present to make sure that everyone is happy. Employees and customers seem to be very happy with the way that this business is ran. Their weekday specials are excellent. I have already been there 3 times for their wings, fries and beer.

The avenue is a a serviceable sports bar situated on the far north side of lowest Greenville. The strip mall bar features an open air style garage windows, allowing patrons to enjoy the Dallas summer breeze. There is a decent sized parking lot which is a welcome contrast from many of the other Grenville ave hot spots that lack parking and mandate uber drop offs or valet. I have been here a few times and one think I can confidently assertion is the beer is served ice cold. An underrated quality metric in the bar rating system is the temperature at which beer is served- and the avenue hands down nails this. The wings and nachos are the only food I have had here but both are solid. I would definitely get the nachos again. Glorious and well seasoned beef comes topped across a platter of salty chips and cold sour cream and guacamole. The portion size is large as well. The wings were quality but the bartender brought over a few sides of special store hot sauce that really amplified the heat- a particular nice touch for a spice afficiandio like myself. Another nice thing about this place is the friendly service. Each time I have visited the bartenders have been friendly and service prompt. There are plenty of nice flat screen TVs displaying the current sporting events of the day. When we were there we asked the tv be changes to a golf tournament and the request was obliged without hesitation. Next time you are on Greenville ave and loooking for a sports bar that may not be as flashy or Hip as the other spots but makes up For it in cold beer, good bae food , and great service venture to the Avenue. Lastly- looks like they have great daily food specials during the week

Food is pretty good. But that's about it service sub bar. I went the other day and got a burger and fries and a Coors light and it was 26.00. I would avoid this place not worth it.

Love this place. Such a fun neighborhood bar. People and service are great, lots of TVs for games etc. my only issue is....and it's a big one...the music is played WAY too loud sometimes. Like if you're deaf then maybe it'll be a good noise level for you but damn. It's so loud.

This is our favorite game time bar!! They play all the sports! The food is always great! We come for brunch, lunch and dinner. We have made tons of friends here. Kenny the owner and his son are both great people to meet and know. And of course our favorite bartenders: Terry, Oscar, Ilena, and Cruz! You won't be disappointed! Especially because the prices are more reasonable than anything down Greenville! Cheers and GO STARS!

10/10 this place is the best place to watch sports and the staff could not be any better. Food - amazing, drinks - amazing, service (Cruz, Mike) - more amazing! If you want the best skinny marg in Dallas ask for Ava.

I travel to Dallas fairly often for work, and have made quite a few trips to Lower Greenville. I'm very disappointed that I missed out on this great little spot before now. There's nothing flashy, but the drinks are reasonably priced, the food is good, and the staff are friendly. They were quite crowded this evening, and I overheard an employee mention being understaffed, but from the service you would never know it. I will repeat next time for sure.

Simply the greatest bar ever. Not only do they have AMAZING! live music every Saturday and Sunday, but the food is incredible and so is the staff! It's like a family that you never knew that you had existed.

These wings are the equivalent to blink-182's "Enema of the State" album. So good. No skips. Full of flavor. Somewhat arousing. 10/10. Flavors: "Avenue Hot" & lemon pepper.

Props to the Avenue even though they were under staff, Terry made sure that we were taking care of, food was so fresh and DELICIOUS! And the drinks

Just to say I saw a review that was so inaccurate from Patti A is an understatement. I was at The Avenue the day this happened. She was so lucky that the owners and bartenders took care of her by providing a way home. She and her friend were so disrespectful of the place and I heard other customers talking about how one of them took a shaker and put it in their purse. Patti A fell asleep at the bar, fell asleep in her car, and someone called the cops on her. Her friend that was with her sat at the bar as all this happened. The owner of the bar was actually the one who told the cops he would be happy to call a cab or Uber. Patti is lucky he was on site to talk the officer out of what would've likely turned into a DWI for her. The bartenders are always great and that day was no exception. Maybe Patti should ask her friend what actually happened instead of filling in blanks in her blackout. I will definitely be back (maybe even later today)!

Great food, atmosphere and service!! Awesome place to watch sports. Getting a seat can be hard if there's a big game on. But, all in all, I love this place!

First time here. Looked like a cool vibe. Guy bartender had an attitude from the jump. Said whatever as long as he serves me up. I ordered food with him, after 45 min I asked another person on the bar, said order was never put in and the kitchen was closed so couldn't even put it in anymore. Pretty annoyed. Oh, but when we were told the kitchen was closed he was enjoying his dinner sitting at a booth. So he made sure he got his order in, just not ours. So there's that.

If you don't want to be over charged or double charge, do NOT go here!! I paid for my $76 tab with cash, the next day I noticed a $76 charge on my debit card!! I did not consent nor did I authorize a charge on my debit card due to me paying cash. I called up to the bar several times through out the week with no response, so I ended up having to go up to the bar and was told no manager was on duty to authorize my refund. Left my name and number with the bartender and a week later still no response from management. Called a few more times and went back up there again just to get the same answer. Management does not care about their customer or employees due to no management ever being present every time I come. Bartender also shady because most likely they took my tab money for tip money and charged my card any ways!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE, TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!

It's hard to find an authentic sports bar in Dallas that has awesome food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. This place checks every single one of those boxes plus more. The staff is truly one of a kind. Skip all the overrated places in lower Greenville and come here for all of your game days.

Amazing SMU gameday service - she was working hard and getting food and drinks out quickly. We were thankful to get a table right at gametime before it got pretty crowded. Our service was amazing and food solid. Server really made an effort to get to know what we liked.

We are new to Dallas from LA and this was our first time coming here. OMG! It was a great experience on Football Sunday! All the people are great and the staff is AMAZING! I definitely want to give a shout-out our Bartender Terry! He has a great personality and is genuinely nice. Folks like him are the reason we moved to Dallas!

Wow, I love my neighborhood bar!! As a woman, I feel safe and sheesh their daily specials can't be beat! It is in the spot right next to Charlie's Creole Kitchen (the old Dodie's) & Subway - super convenient! Might as well be Cheers bc the servers treat you like family. Maybe that's not your style, yet it is nice to go to a place where I'm not worried if my blouse is on point. Oh and how in the heck!? They remember what I wanted last time I came in!!? Are they clairvoyant? Plus, the kitchen seems like it will make pretty much whatever a person could want. As someone who suffers from celiacs this is huge for me and my husband. Five stars and thank you for accommodating me without making me feel bad. Will come back...uhhh every day...$ yikes

Love this place but live music on college football Saturday? The band is great but way too loud for this small of a place especially when people are trying to talk and watch football.

Didn't even get to eat, they brought us menus and then were passed by at least 20x with no acknowledgement we even existed.

Visited the Avenue Bar in Lower Greenville for the first time because the weather was great and they opened up the doors (entire front of the bar) and Terry was the bartender and I have never received better service than I did from him. He was very friendly and fast! We loved this place so much, we have been back 3 times now... driving all the way from Plano! The food is great, we had the turkey club and it was the best we ever had. There is a live band, and this bar just feels good to sit and have a drink. All sorts of people coming together... it reminds me of Cheers in a way.

One of my favorites. Affordable/ great deals all week. Also the brunch menu on the weekends is awesome, everything is $10 and there are drink specials. Also the quality/taste of food is great! On top of all of this the service is EXCELLENT. It really is a change of pace compared to the other bars/ restaurants on a Greenville where servers act like they are doing you a favor to serve you. Genuine good people run this place. 10/10

Don't go if you have an out of state ID lol. I'm 24 and they told me they couldn't serve me and the bartender was so rude about it. We're on vacation and this is the first place to do that

Hands down best sports bar in town, fast service, great food and always a place to park. The staff is incredible and feels like the hometown place you're looking for.

When we first got there guy bartender was very nice, we went out for dinner and came back because of the prices and the drinks were good , went to the bathroom and when I got back my friend was being yelled at by a lady bartender because she thought he was calling her stupid which he would never do. My friend got up and left I went back to talk to the manger and he really didn't care, at the same time the bartender was taking shots with another customer...

Our first time here and Cruz and Adrian were great people made me feel at home and there service was great ! Will be coming back here again soon.

I've came to this bar twice now. The first time wasn't that great if I'm just being honest. It looked like it was pretty busy but nothing over the top. It took forever for the bartender to acknowledge me and only made me one out of the two drinks I ordered. We only had that one drink since the music wasn't that good either. The second time did make me realize how over priced it is. Got two beers for $12. The tables where dirty and I had to wipe down and I had to clean my own table during this pandemic. It's one thing that no one cared enough to wear a mask, but un-sanitized tables are unacceptable. I think I'll just stick to the bars on my side of town where the drinks are fairly priced and they care enough to be clean and sanitized and not allow anyone sitting at the bar :)
