The Backyard Community Food Court

Absolutely excellent. Terry is the man! I ordered the pastrami Burger and it was fantastic with a generous helping of seasoned pastrami. His side offerings were chicken gumbo and four bean chili. I like how he said that "everyone knows what fries taste like that's why I don't offer those" haha! Wouldn't be a bad idea to still offer fries just for the folks who would want them. Nothing like a burger and fries! Amazing value to get that pastrami burger and a chicken gumbo side (which could have been its own little meal) all for just $14. By the way he doesn't use seed oils to cook with, he just uses olive oil. Huge plus

Great experience! Unique space with a lot to offer. Proprietor and his son operate it with passion. I had a whiskey chicken sandwich with a side of gumbo. OUTSTANDING. The sandwich normally comes with lots of veggies (including grilled, marinated onions) so if that’s your thing, they’ve got you covered 😉 Will be back very soon!

We thought it would be several good trucks but turns out it’s just one with plans to open up a couple of the others soon. Asked about gumbo as in the sign outside but not on the menu. The owner offered a sample of the elusive dish and my son and I were quite pleased. Great service and great food. Not fancy but pleasant environment on a nice evening.

My husband and I were coming home from a baseball game and wanted something really delicious so we decided to go to The Backyard, because one thing about Terry... he's going to give you some delicious food!! The portions are always generous, the flavor is ALWAYS incredible, and the service makes you feel like you're hanging out with your family (the fun family though, the family that makes you laugh until your cheeks hurt). Terry is an important part of our community, and his mission is to spread love. He might as well do it while feeding you the best food! The vibe is relaxed, chill, and fun. They have a lot of fun table games available, and a jumbo Connect 4. They do fun Comedy Nights, and don't forget about the live music if you wanna get out and dance. It's definitely worth a drive over on a nice warm evening to see what they have going on. You can't go wrong with anything you order there, but our favorites are the Seafood Gumbo, and we had a shrimp and rice bowl last night that was absolutely delicious!

Delicious lunch that hit the spot after a day of hiking. We had the chicken tacos and the Cajun shrimp rice bowl. It's a great local spot with outdoor seating. I will definitely return the next time I'm in the area.

10 out of 10! We ate at the food truck that started the backyard, The one straight back when you walk in. It has a Cajun flare to it and holy moly it was delicious. We had the Cajun chicken gumbo and the burger, both were absolutely Devine! Some of the most flavorful food in southern Oregon, I promise it won’t disappoint.

Great Food Truck Court!! There was plenty of covered seating. We had the Mediterranean food, which was delicious. Next time I'll try the Cajun or one of the other options. It was also a pleasure to meet the owner who was very nice.

Terry is a great chef and a really nice guy. this is real five star Cajun food, hard to find food this good in New Orleans never mind Medford Oregon, simply the best in town
