The bagel sandwiches are delicious! 🤠 I added some cinnamon almond spread on it which takes the bagel to the next level. They also have a wide selection of coffees to choose from. If you’re in the area definitely come give it a try. 🥯

The Bagel Cafe experience was excellent. I had the 'French Dip' sandwich. The 'Everything bagel, roast beef, grilled onions, and As-Jus sauce is absolutely delicious. Everything always seems to be freshly made. To note, the Lox bagel sandwich and broccoli soup are also excellent. I highly recommend this place. I wish they would open a few more locations in the area.

We came Saturday morning to grab a quick bite but we decided to dine in! Santa was there, they had love music, and the atmosphere was just so welcoming. The staff are so kind all the way through! The bagels were easily some of the best I’ve ever had! We will be coming back!

Phenomenal place to get all things bagel/breakfast food. Joe is an amazing character at the cashier. From tossing your bagel to always remembering your name and blowing the famous whistle when you pay with cash, this place has great food and even better atmosphere especially nice and early in the morning.

I have been into bagels and cream cheese recently and checked out the bagel cafe this morning. Easily one of THE BEST bagels I've ever had!! I ordered the garlic bagel lightly toasted with chive cream cheese. I will absolutely recommend this shop to everyone!

Randomly visited because I was looking for a bagel spot and glad I decided to give it a try! I ordered the lox sandwich, which exceeded my expectations. The salmon was fresh and the sandwich was full of flavor. I had the pleasure of meeting Joe, who took my order and made some small talk with me. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who loves a good bagel and inviting atmosphere. I'll be back as soon as I can!

An extremely underrated spot that you need to go to as soon as possible! I honestly thought I had already tried all the best bagels out there, but The Bagel Cafe seriously impressed me. I'll start by saying that hopping in here on an early Sunday morning is quite the experience. The inside is modest and cozy, and really embodied the kind of New York-deli vibe that you don't get in many places. The staff was jovial, and they were laughing and joking and having fun at 7AM on a Sunday. That was AWESOME. So needless to say, the service was amazing. But of course, the bagels speak for themselves. Texture and taste-wise, these bagels may be the best I've ever had. Not to mention they're extremely photogenic. Flavors of the bagels themselves and the cream cheese were unmatched, I got a salt/plain cream cheese bagel and a jalapeño cheddar/chive cream cheese bagel. I will say, if you're a fan of the chewier type of bagel—this is your place! This place was absolutely amazing, and I'm already counting the days until I can come here again on a Sunday morning.

I LOVED this place. Feels very mom and pop and I like supporting local businesses. Weekdays is pretty chill after morning rush, weekends is busy. People are in with their families and the place is bustling, but that's what I think a breakfast place should be like. I've tried the chocolate chip bagel (10/10) and the jalapeño bagel (10/10). Can't wait for the next one!

The bagels are fresh. The service was good. Very casual spot. Limited meat options for breakfast sandwich if you don't eat pork.

No wait when we went but it quickly filled up- the bagels had a great crunch and then chew so super yummy. -Katy commuter: bagel w/ cream cheese and coffee(I got the blueberry with plain cream cheese) -Egg bagel(softest they have) with bacon, egg and cheddar-'sunrise' w/bacon The cream cheese was very light and tasty and they didn't skimp on it We shall return! Parking and seating were ample- seemed like a lot of online orders were going on.

I'm just going to have to visit NYC to get a uber delicious cinnamon raisin bagel with creamy schmear. Houston has a lot of establishments that sell bagels but most are not delicious, just acceptable. The bagel cafe has great reviews and their bagels look good for sure, but I'm not pleased with my cinnamon raisin bagel I received. The bagel was a bit flat where it should be fluffy. There wasn't enough raisins or cinnamon in them. They didn't have that slight sweetness to them. They tasted as if they were made from the dough of a savory bagel and just had raisins and cinnamon thrown into it, just not enough. The plain cream cheese I ordered was nice. I continue my search for a perfect cinnamon raisin bagel in Houston.

I've seen this place before but had never stopped. This place was popping this morning. An amazing spread of bagels and cream cheese. They have breakfast sandwiches. They also have lunch menu that looked tasty. It was so good. I can't believe I've never been. We had the Sunrise bagel sandwich with bacon. Mine on an onion bagel and his on an everything bagel. Had a mango berry breeze. It was so good and refreshing. They had a few tables outside. And quite a bit of seating inside.

Am I in love? I'm not a big bagel person but man oh man, this is a great, local bagel cafe! No frills inside - a few simple tables and chairs. The cafe owner and managers are from NY and this bagel cafe opens at 6 AM! Finally a breakfast place that opens early like a northeastern place. Lox sandwich is delicious with artisan bagel. I listened to the girl at the register on suggestions and glad I did. It's just perfect. Sunrise breakfast bagel with sausage is an excellent choice, especially if you want some protein and on the go. Bagels are nicely toasted, yet soft. They're all friendly and playful to both customers and to each other. I love it; it's like a family run business. There's a lot of parking spaces so don't you worry your pretty little face. No need to have bumper-to-bumper parallel parking situation while you enjoy a delicious NY bagel or bagel sandwiches.

One word...YUM! This place was recommended to me by many Katy residents, so I knew I had to try. It definitely lived up to the hype. I'm very basic when it comes to bagels so I got the blueberry bagel with plain cream cheese and it was DELICIOUS. I placed the order through DoorDash and was able to pick it up. It was ready when I arrived. My friend ordered the sunrise sandwich with egg, bacon, and cheese and it looked amazing. I will definitely be trying that sandwich next time I visit!

I appreciate the warmth and comfort of the Bagel Cafe. This place is noticeably the real deal with friendly service, tasty bagels and good coffee. I especially enjoy their cheddar bagel yet find all their options perfectly textured and flavorful. I look forward to returning.

Bagel Cafe has been an INSTITUTION in Katy for years! So so so good. Great selection of Bagels, sandwiches and even baked goods. I think there are one or two more locations now as well. Cypress and not sure where else. Great little hidden gem. Plus, they back our local first responders!

Located in the Katy strip mall on Mason and Kingsland. The place is cafe style crowded on the weekend with family and kid that are leaving taekwondo. Great service, everyone in there is nice. The bagels are fresh and they go quick, what I love about the place if you like a certain kind you can call. The smoothies are fresh. This is a good spot for fresh bagels and cream cheese.

After moving across country, we were looking for a local bagel shop. This is the place to go! Their bagels are always so fresh and the service is amazing. All the employee are extremely friendly and will go out of their way to make their customers happy. It's a fairly large store they own with plenty of seating options for dinning in. A must try!

Call me nostalgic and call me for breakfast because this spot in Katy Texas will transport you to New York City! I remembered talking to the owner last year and he told me the rainbow cookies are shipped straight from New York City and he is also a transplant here in Texas. The bagels are chewy, moist and flavorful and the cream cheese is, perfectly salty, creamy and smooth. The fresh squeeze orange juice is always right on and hits the spot. I recommend checking the chalkboard next to the register for the daily special and if you're so inclined, they offer smoothies here as well. They feature cats, drip coffee, and have Coffee creamer and fountain sodas to drink. The bathroom is spacious and always clean and I recommend hitting up the spot if you're in the area for breakfast anytime! Five stars and I have been returning for years.

My family and I have coming here since I was a kid and they truly have the best bagels in town/the whole Houston area (by a long shot). My father is a Jewish New Yorker so he knows a quality bagel when he sees one and agrees they are the best. There are not very many good bagels in Texas but The Bagel Cafe has the closest bagels to perfection as you can get! We love supporting local, family-run businesses and wish I lived closer and could visit The Bagel Cafe every day!

Everything is always so perfect and exceeds expectation! Bagel heats up well, when people can buy bagels that taste like theirs in bulk, why would you even bother buying bagels from grocery stores? Place is always clean, service is always great!

Everything about this place is perfection. Food is great. The ownership new and old are super friendly and warming. They host Santa during the holidays and give out coloring books for kids. This place will always be a treasure I hope they never change.

Love this local bagel shop and have used them many times for catering for work events. Everyone always loves the bagels and spreads. I personally love the bagel sandwich (commuter). I also think it's great that they offer Katz coffee, local to Houston as well!

Place is packed and call ins are not helpful. I sat outside and seen the crowd so I called to place my small order. Was on hold for over 10 mins then was told my order would be ready in 10 mins. After waiting I walked in, paid and was told my order is still not ready. I've seen multiple people here after me come and go. Seems unfair to my time. Bagel was cold if toasted it wasn't fresh and the egg not seasoned at all. This is at 9 o clock on Saturday morning. Not happy. Paid $7 one bagel, cream cheese, and an egg. Waste of time

Bagels are delicious. Soft and chewy on the inside. Spreads are good. My favorite was the seasonal pumpkin.

The bagels were fresh and tasty, which I appreciated. However, the breakfast sandwiches--specifically the bacon, egg, and cheese, and the sausage--fell short. At $10 each, they were underwhelming: flat, lacking in flavor, and not cooked well. For comparison, I recommend checking out The Hot Bagel Shop or Fuhgedaboutit Bagels. Their sandwiches are stacked, flavorful, and set a much higher standard for what a quality breakfast sandwich should be.

I want to give 4-stars because over the years, I've popped in and picked up asst. bagels and cream cheese To Go. They have a terrific variety of really tasty, bagels, and some hard-to-find cream cheese flavors. They also position their business as a counter service bagel and sandwich cafe. That's where things took a surprising turn. No one from the staff wiped a table down in the 45 minutes I was there. Patrons were cleaning. 10AM on a Saturday and the cafe is busy. The ordering line is manageable, but gets much longer and wraps around into their overflow dine-in seating by the time I leave. Locals pop-in for to go orders, and many parents eat in, waiting for their kids at the neighboring martial arts studio. I decided to dine in, and ordered an Iced Latte w/ half&half and the Sunrise $6.49 (your choice of bagel, with egg, cheddar cheese, and choice of bacon - sausage- ham). "Yes, I'd like it toasted." The wait was a little longer than normal, but I chalk that up to a busy Saturday morning. I was super disappointed in the bagel sandwich! The bagel wasn't toasted. The egg-cheese-bacon were heated unevenly. One bite was cold egg, the next bite was somewhat heated. I felt like the sandwiches was microwaved, and definitely not a toasted bagel with hot toppings. The strength of the coffee in the iced latte was super weak. I ended up adding more coffee from the self service station to strengthen the taste. I did order a couple of bagels to go. And in the future, probably will just prepare them at home.

The bagels here make my family so happy! My son just finished his sunrise breakfast sandwich and told me that he wished he had ordered another one. Then he declared he could eat one for every meal and be happy. We get bagels for family visiting and they are always amazed at how good they are. We are so lucky to have the Bagel Cafe here!

This place reminds me of New York in all the best ways. Very straightforward, no frills. Free WiFi. Tables and chairs to sit and dine in (with 2 separate dining room areas to choose from), plus of course the ability to take your food to go. There are about 2 dozen types of bagels to choose from. The breakfast sandwiches are wonderful, though mine could've used a little more salt. Friendly staff. Clearly a local favorite; this is the type of place you're bound to run into one of your neighbors or other friends (which we did).

Wow, what a delicious bagel shop! We have been looking for a great breakfast place here in Katy and we're so excited to have found The Bagel Cafe! The service was fantastic, we left with 7 different bagels and fresh chive cream cheese for a gathering. The bagels didn't last more than 20 minutes! They were a big hit. We will be returning again soon.

My first time at The Bagel Cafe today the cream cheese was delicious that was served as a little side item with some toasted bread and I had the meatball sandwich. I wasn't impressed with the meatball sandwich they use frozen meatballs like you'd get at Sam's slapped it with some Ragu Sauce on a French roll and I just wasn't impressed with it at all if you're going to have your own restaurant and cater to the consumers I would go that extra step to make your food fresh yourself it'll taste a lot better staff was wonderful hospitality was wonderful service was wonderful sandwich not so good

Went in with my wife the other day after her hour at physical therapy. They have a huge menu, not just bagels. But we had bagels and coffee. I like to go exotic so I had one with cheddar cheese and jalapeños. So good, but not too spicy. She had a plain bagel - can't go wrong with an old classic - maybe I'm like the plain bagel- hmmmm. Anyway, we topped them off with some lite cream cheese and coffee and she was happy. So I was happy. And full. Good place.

Bagel Melt Breakfast Bagel Sandwich was superb, I got bacon with it and with the first bite all the quality come with the actual bagel! So fresh and so good. Wish there was some type of sauce to go with it but other then that it was great.

This place is AMAZING! Such a great local business that has that "hometown deli" vibe that will make you fall in love with the ambiance and the people. The bagels are fresh and fluffy with the right proportions of cream cheese slapped onto it. I'd recommend the cheddar, everything, or cinnamon crunch bagels... but I will probably keep updating this post as I keep going back! I'm a loyal fan now.

I'm originally from Connecticut and as someone who knows the difference between an authentic NY bagel and not, The Bagel Cafe hits it out of the park. I don't miss much about New England except a good bagel. It's been challenging finding a good bagel shop in Houston, but today I found it. I got my favorite, Pastrami Egg & Cheese on a toasted Everything bagel with butter and it was amazing. If I'm ever in the area and wanting breakfast THIS place will be my go to. Clean bakery, friendly staff and amazing food for a great price. Best bagel shop in Houston hands down.

A great place to sit and have a very tasty muffaletta. One of the best ones I've had in a long time. They have a dip for the bagel chips....soooo tasty. It was a a really great lunch. Go, you won't regret it.

SO glad I came across this place! I had been on the hunt for an almond cream cheese spread since they stopped selling it at grocery stores, and voíla! Such a one stop shop to get your breakfast, coffee and snacks. Plus such warm welcomes when you walk in; great customer service too, and of course the main part - the bagels are good. I obviously got the cream cheese spread to go, but I'll definitely be back. Oh and the music definitely sets the great atmospheric vibes. ;)

Great customer service, local neighborhood bagel spot, fresh bagels, and amazing scones. Cafe appearance is lack luster but what the aesthetic lacks the food and service more than makes up for.

My favorite spot for bagels in Katy! I would highly recommend the signature lox sandwich, which is "smoked salmon with whipped cream cheese, tomato, red onion, & capers on a toasted onion bagel." This is the only bagel place I've been to in the Houston area so far that can compare to the ones in NYC. They have consistently great quality. Each bagel sandwich also comes with a side of bagel chips which are crispy bagel pieces that go perfectly with the meal. I already can't wait to go back!

Joe from bagel Cafe was very generous. I called and asked if he would donate to seven lakes high school and he willingly donated a wonderful tray of bagels. I am from New York and I can say their bagels are the most authentic. I love this place. It makes me feel at home.

Variety of bagels. We love getting the blueberry bagel with the cinnamon almond cream cheese. The service is great as well. They're always pretty friendly despite how busy it can get on the weekends. They stay pretty busy but they stay on top of it getting your order out as quickly as possible

Nice little cafe with variety of bagels to choose from. Friendly service and bengals are fresh. We ordered western with everything began and sunrise with Swiss cheese beagle, you can pick your bagels. Had a small coffee and fresh squeezed oj. After finishing the breakfast we decided to buy half dozen of bagels Togo, orange cranberry, egg everything , spinach feta, French toast. Buy 6 and get 1 free. Will go back and try other dishes.
