Really lovely family run spot. The bread is fresh, and they have a full menu of options! The portions were super generous - and they were very accommodating in letting me switch am ingredient for another. In addition to the bagels, croissants, coffee, and smoothies, they also have a banh mi special too!

The menu is diverse, especially the coffee variety. Most of all, it's delicious! I was full even though I ate only half of it due to the large portion. The staff is kind and always smiling! The best bagel cafe in Pleasanton :)

Came in for the first time today and was not disappointed. I ordered a small white mocha and a blueberry muffin. The mocha has a rich flavor with a sweet taste and the muffin had a nice crisp on the outside and was nice and moist on the inside. Staff seem friendly and place seemed very clean. Prices are about average of everywhere else. The only reason I'm giving it four stars and not five is I realized that their prices on the board does not match what they charge. The wight mocha was $4.68 instead of $4.50 and the muffin was $3.64 instead of $3.50. I know it not a big difference but the price advertised should be the price charged. Other than all that it's a great place.

I really recommend this bagel store with their fresh bagels, tasty coffees plus amazing, friendly staff. Very satisfied with their quality of food and reasonable prices. I definitely will come back again

Will have to come back and try different bagels also maybe earlier during the day. The service was amazing the ladies super friendly. Got a bagel with cream cheese and a apple turn over. I did see them make a giant breakfast sandwich with bacon that I wished I had earlier in the morning haha

The Tuna Melts were the best I've ever had! We will definitely be back to try more!

The best bagel shop in the entire Tri-Valley. The best service, the best ingredients, and the best flavors. I honestly feel like I could live to 100 if I get to eat your food every day. Starting my morning with your delicious croissant sausage egg sandwich makes "working hard for a better life" feel so real and achievable. Every time I walk in and hear "Welcome back! What can I get started for you? No rush, take your time," those simple, caring little phrases fill my whole day with kindness and good energy. Thank you for being such a wonderful presence in our community.

My 4th time here. The bánh mì was perfection again--buttery baguette - crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, fresh crisp veggies, and just the right kick. THE BEST BAHN MI in the East bay hands down. Paired it with an iced Vietnamese coffee that was bold, sweet, and dangerously addictive. Service is top notch and just as lovely as the food is delicious. I cannot recommend this spot enough. Skip Starbucks. Skip Jersey Mikes. Support this wonderful small-business instead.

Bagel Cafe is an Isla Vista classic that never disappoints! I have been. couple times and am surprised that I have yet to leave a review! I try something different each time I go, but I would have to say one of my go-to orders is a toasted garlic bagel with chipotle smear! SO GOOD! Service is super quick and the people working are always so helpful. The Emma and a classic BLT of pesto bagel always hit the spot too. A chill, laid back spot to hit the get your day started or for an afternoon pick me up!

Wow, so this is long overdue but Bagel Cafe has some of the BEST bagels I have ever had! I am a bagel freak and always on the hunt for a good one and this is definitely at the top of my list right now. My sister and I stopped by on our way to the bay during Memorial Day weekend and I am so glad she found Bagel Cafe. It's located off Main St in a plaza that is easy to miss if you're not from the area. We had to loop back but there's plenty of parking which I'm always a fan of. The inside of the cafe is clean and spacious. There are many options on the menu to pick from but I always stick to my go to unless I'm really in the mood to try something new. The service was wonderful, the owner was there and it's definitely true what they say - she always has a smile on her face! Our bagels were brought out rather quickly and after we tried our first bites, my sister and I were so content and happy. I say this often but I will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

visited pleasanton for the first time and my friend told me that bagel cafe is a must try. i have to agree! the ladies there are incredibly nice and the owner has such a sweet story that was posted on the wall. it's a bit small inside but there are a couple of tables to dine in. i tried the thai tea, pork banh mi, and the lox bagel - everything was delicious! the thai tea was surprisingly perfect and not too sweet. i loved the baguette of the banh mi. great crunch! overall, such good value + definitely filled me up for a quick lunch.

Not even surprised that this place is 5/5 on yelp because IT LIVES UP TO THE HYPE!! Menu is endless with many pastries, sandwiches, and fresh food! My personal favorite is the croissant sandwich with egg, provolone, and sausage. All pastries there are homemade and taste amazing! The people who work here are super sweet and make the environment very welcoming. If you are in the area, this is a MUST TRY!

Super friendly service, nothing like a smiling face to start off your day. Real bagels, croissants, muffins, cookies, fruit turnovers and other pastries made fresh every day. Their buttery croissants are out of this world. They also have a good assortment of bagels. My favorite is their jalapeno bagel (has chopped up jalapenos inside the dough). They also have huge assortment of sandwiches (chicken salad, Bahn Mi, salami, ham, turkey) and many other varieties. Also have fruit smoothies, milk shakes, soda and have a wide selection of coffee and tea drinks.

It's always a pleasure to support and dine at Bagel Cafe. The ladies that work here are always so friendly and hospitable. The sandwiches are HUGE, so my Nana and I shared it. We ordered a turkey sandwich with all the fixins' on a croissant. The turkey and proteins are so fresh. The croissant is so light and just perfect. I think it is baked fresh daily. We enjoyed our turkey sandwich. Also available is a big assortment of bottled sodas, juices and teas. This place is frequented by locals and the ladies always remember their regulars by name. I will definitely return. I love the food, freshness and hospitality.

My sister's favorite bagel spot! She's become quite a regular and I tag along with her a few times :) I've really enjoyed each experience going to this bagel cafe. I typically get the salami sandwich on an everything bagel - they definitely give you the most in these bagels!! They make sure to stack it so you're really getting your fill. I think the bagel is soft on the inside and a little crispy on the outside which is perfect. All of the ingredients flow really well together, as the ratio is great, and I love eating these bagels every time. The customer service is absolutely so wonderful and sweet! So friendly every time we go, and they are just so fun to talk to! I always feel welcomed right when I put my first step through the door. They have a few seats and the interior is comfortable. Parking is not an issue as well, since they have a lot. Definitely will be coming back! Excited to try even more bagels :)

Everything is awesome from the sandwiches to the coffees. Forget the chain stores with the drones working behind the counter. This is a family owned/operated business with a lot of good, fresh food.

I have been coming into this amazing shop every day for the last two weeks sometimes TWICE A DAY! Everything is so fresh and full of flavor not to mention filling. I am so spoiled to come into this shop to be greeted by the sisters who say my name with the biggest smiles on their faces. I love all the freshly baked sweet treats, especially the cherry sticks and the beautifully baked banana walnut muffins. My family is big fans of their special sandwiches and teas.

This morning I went to get a toasted cheese bagel ham and pepper jack cheese breakfast sandwich. It was delicious! On top of that a med. chai latte! That was made perfectly...no need to add any sugar. Just perfect! If you pay cash you get a discount! A feel good spot with the lovely ladies behind the counter. Go!

My favorite bagel spot :')) I always get the lox bagel on either a jalapeño cheese or everything bagel, and it's perfect everytime. There's not a lotttt of lox, but everything else is 10/10. The bagel itself is dense and soft on the inside, the lox has a nice smoky flavor and isn't too salty, and there's a good cream cheese ratio too! All of the veggies are really fresh and crisp, and the onions are sweet The customer service is absolutely amazing and the ladies are so friendly and welcoming to everyone :') Parking can be pretty difficult because it's in a small plaza that's almost always packed, but 10/10 would recommend !

I'm a really Big fan of this bagel shop, I would recommend to anyone who loves bagels, sandwiches, fresh espresso coffee and please give yourself a try there Vietnamese Sandwich. Lucky me working near by the shop, me and my friends can grab the real good food everyday.

The fact that they have an egg bagel when Noah's bagel discontinued it has changed my life! This place seems to be the closest to an egg bagel I can find that was similar to Noah's. The inside is always super clean and offers many drinks and breakfast options! You can get a Thai iced tea, boba, coffee, milk, juice, or energy drinks. For food you can get a bagel of any sort toasted or not with a lot of options. You can also build your own breakfast sandwich. The staff is super friendly and are always fairly quick. Bonus they are 4 stops down from a Starbucks if you're a fan.

This was my first time coming to Bagel Cafe and I will absolutely be visiting again. We had croissant breakfast sandwiches and the portions are GENEROUS. The service is amazing, super friendly and easy to customize orders. Food was delicious and I was so very satisfied after. It was prepared really fast as well. The shop is small, but there is plenty of space to sit and eat in. But really, I can't overstate enough how friendly the service is. Truly, I would come back time and time again to support this wonderful local business.

I absolutely love this place. There's nothing on the menu to complain about. Everything is so good. The ladies there are fantastic human beings that truly care about their customers and the community! When you visit often enough they'll even remember your name and order! I wanted to retake photos of their menu because the ones currently on Yelp are difficult to see. When you visit this place, you must get your sandwich with their freshly baked croissant, which is huge!

Very friendly business and reasonable prices. Freshly made bagels and croissantsas soon as you enter. The place is small but clean and pleasant. I got the chicken banh mi for 11.50 and veggie bagel for 6.75. Unbeatable prices! Highly recommend.

STALE breads. This place could be 5 stars if they just changed out their breads! I ordered two sandwiches in the last two months. One sandwich was on a bagel, and the other was on a sourdough roll. Both breads were stale, dry and tasteless, which ruined the sandwiches. Other than that, customer service is wonderful. The ladies behind the counter are so friendly and cheerful. The contents of the sandwiches were flavorful, including the pork banh mi. Generous servings. Just needs fresh bread.

The ladies that run this shop are the sweetest! They take the time to remember you and your order making every experience personable! Not to mention, the food and drinks are amazing! We love to walk downtown on the weekends and stop in here for a bagel & coffee! Our favorite Saturday spot!

This place puts the PLEASANT in Pleasanton! Bagels are so good as well as everything else I have sampled. The best way to start my day. I can always count on being greetTerry and Kim with their beaming smiles and friendly and prompt service. After only a few visits they had learned my name...and I began to realize they know many of their customers by name! Truly a warm neighborhood spot "Where they always know my name and they're always glad I came". They deserve even more stars than allowed.

I was craving a good lox and bagel today and found this shop a mile from my home that I've been living in since 2011. It is hard to find if you were not actively looking for its location as it is not on the main street. I am really glad I found it!! The woman was absolutely lovely and the bagel was SO GOOD!!!

I had to bring my son to a track meet at Amador Valley High School early on a Saturday morning. I found that this place is just a block from the school and they open at 8 AM on Saturdays. Perfect. I picked a bagel sandwich for breakfast and I got change back from my $5. The two young ladies behind the counter were friendly and efficient. I paid and got my sandwich in about 2 minutes. I expected a bagel from Costco or US Foods or where ever the other places get their bagels. But NO! This was a FRESH bagel and it was delicious. The rest of the sandwich was fine, but the bagel made it spectacular. I see in other reviews that I need to try their croissants too. (I'll check them out next time.)

The place itself is always very clean, the food never disappoints and is very flavorful. The service is beyond amazing, they're so sweet and always give such a warm welcome. I've never disliked anything I've had there so don't be nervous to give anything a try.

Small but mighty bagel shop!! I tried their roast beef sandwich for my first time here with an iced viet coffee, and this girl was so full and happy. I want to eat all my sandwiches with a sliced and toasted croissant from now on. Total came down to $19.19 so it's a treat, but I will without a doubt give my money to small business owners. They greet you with the biggest smiles, and I hope they stay in business for years to come so I can try everything on the menu!! They still had a lot of pastries and bagels left at around 12:30pm - will come back to try their famous muffins and breakfast bagels!

This place is so good! I have gone completely out of my way to visit it. Honestly, I don't know what it is, but the bagels just seem perfect. My favorite thing to get is the veggie bagel sandwich. Somehow they get everything on there without being too unwieldy, as so often happens with a bagel sandwich. Service is always nice and food is served quickly.

Great food, great coffee, very friendly staff! Unfortunately, I had to knock off a star because, despite checking with them several times to make sure they understood my order, they still got it wrong. I wanted a combination of the Veg Out bagel sandwich and the Lox bagel sandwich: Essentially, a bunch of vegetables and smoked salmon (with my crazy schedule, I don't get enough vegetables during the day, so I take them however I can get them). I told the lady behind the counte rwhat I wanted, and she said that they could do it. Great! When the guy behind the counter was making my sandwich, I checked with him and asked him if he was putting all the veggies from the Veg Out bagel on the sandwich and he said "yes" . Imagine my surprise when I get to work and have just a plain lox bagel sandwich. Not a deal-breaker, because the sandwich was good, but if you have a special request, you might have to watch the staff make your food to make sure they're making it properly. I also ordered a caramel silk iced latte with almond milk. The vanilla and caramel flavored syrups in the iced latte give it it's "silky" moniker. The lady behind the counter wanted to make sure that it was exactly what I wanted, so she had me try it after she gave it to me to make sure it was sweet enough. And she nailed it. It was absolutely perfect. This is a cute little breakfast spot that's easy to drive past when you're in the neighborhood be sure to slow down so you don't miss them.

I remember when this spot was a subway - what an upgrade!! If you are looking for delicious bahn mi in pleasanton - look no further. I wish I had taken a photo of it because it was so good! And their bagels are great! I got a lox bagel and it was awesome! And the lady's that run the shop are absolutely amazing! Can't wait to come back and try more things!

Why haven't I gone here before?! Really good central location on Main St. Parking wasn't an issue in the morning. I was greeted right away by the friendly owner/employees. They have all the mocha/coffee selections you could want. Bagels, sandwiches, muffins, and huge croissants. My mocha was really good. I also saw Vietnamese coffee on the menu. Went with the croissant breakfast which came with egg, cheese, and choice of protein. It was huge, definitely big enough to share. Also went with a breakfast bagel. Both were really fresh and warm. One adult with two kids were able to share both with some leftovers. So next time you're heading out of town and want breakfast to go, stop by and support this local business instead of the usual generic coffee place. Looks like a great lunch option also and a favorite of locals. Glad to have this nearby and I'll be stopping by more often.

We've gotten their Banh mi many times. What makes them stand out from other places is how fresh their ingredients always are, and the ladies are always so friendly. We've become regular now and will definitely continue supporting their business.

Errand running ran later than expected, and we came in about 30 minutes before closing. , All of the staff were very accommodating and quite friendly. I was impressed with the variety of menu options. Smoothies, coffees, Vietnamese sandwiches, and bakery items. They had a giant rice Krispy treat that had been dipped in thick chocolate- it looked so tempting! My typically shy nine year old announced "Yum, I smell bacon!" She was greeted with warm smiles, and assured that she can have some bacon. She got a cheddar cheese toasted bagel with butter and bacon. She told us that it was delicious and she ate the entire sandwich. One of our daughters had a mango smoothie, and a bag of chips. She said the smoothie was very good. The other one, had a strawberry smoothie, and she said it was perfect. I had a Vietnamese coffee that was too sweet for me, so I froze it into ice cubes, and used it in my iced lattes for a week. I enjoyed them very much. BTW- I absolutely understand that it's supposed to be super sweet, so that was not criticism. Good food and excellent service is what will bring us back here again soon. I truly appreciate how kind they were to our daughters. Thank You, we will see you soon

Excellent sandwiches and amazing service. The pork Bahn mi (sp) sandwich is amazing. It has the perfect amount of sauce and bread and meat and heat. They really bring it.

The owners are Americans of Cambodian descent. Given the history of French influence on Cambodia, Cambodians are often known to be experts in baking (breads, croissants, etc). The croissants were wonderfully flaky on the outside and had a nice texture and density on the inside. Absolutely wonderful on a cold rainy morning paired with some strong coffee. I ordered the Chicken Nömpang (Bahn Mi) And it was so delicious. The vegetables fresh and the chicken moist. The bread had wonderful texture and not hard at all. It's a different kind of bread than you normally find at Vietnamese Bahn Mi stands, but delicious in its own way and uniquely Cambodian. The owners travel to/from Oakland everyday. Hardworking. Friendly. Tremendous pride in their craft. Absolutely love it.
