Google
Their breakfast bagel is the best. However, do not order through their website — the checkout process is not easy. Also, why does it take 30–45 minutes to make one sandwich? It’s insane. I’ve ordered twice through their website and still had to wait, no matter how slow the store was. Order online only if you have time to wait 30 minutes, lol. Other than that, it’s a good bagel shop.

Google
Second time ordering: so today I ordered breakfast and a side of cream cheese for almost 4$ and guess who didn’t get it?! ME! These people don’t pay attention to anything yet want to charge these prices and they purposely don’t let you buy single serving of strawberry. They force you to buy larger if that’s that’s the flavor you want I’m tired of wasting my money when these are my only options to eat! I ordered the breakfast special with two eggs, a bagel, and fruit. I get my food and it’s clogged with cream cheese instead of cream cheese being on the side like normal people do. I’m glad to the point you can’t even toast your bagel if you wanted to because they think it’s OK to put large amount of stuff on there. To make it worse, the cinnamon bagel they put your bag directly on top of your eggs so did my bagel come soggy at the bottom my eggs came with cinnamon and sugar on top. Food is way too high to be playing these games. I had to scrape a large amount of cream cheese off. The bagels you order done even come cut!!!!!! I’m over this place already

Google
This shop has everything for Shabbat dinners, which makes it really practical and easy to get ingredients. The bagels are the highlight product of the place since they have a variety of flavors and cream cheese for them. The service is amazing and personalized. The place is a bit dirty but is nice to sit and chill while waiting for your order. The prices are reasonable and the quality is amazing.

Google
Stopped by for a bagel breakfast and it totally hit the spot. Fresh, warm, and satisfying—definitely one of my new favorite morning stops.

Josh L.

Google
Very impressed. Kosher food is usually hit or miss—if you keep kosher, you have no choice but to eat at kosher places, and they have no real motivation to do the greatest job—and this one’s definitely a hit. Not only was my egg-and-lox-and-guacamole bagel delicious, but it came with a new twist I’ve never had at a NY-style bagel place: delicious tater tots that hit the spot and paired well with it. The iced coffee was good, too, and the WiFi was greatly appreciated. Another plus: they have take-out side dishes (like egg salad and herring and whitefish salad, etc.). Their catering menu looks quite good too. Not only impressed, but grateful that the place exists!

Google
Thank you for having poppy seed bagels!!! They can be hard to find here. It was absolutely delicious!! Fresh, soft on the inside & somewhat toasted on the out. The whipped cream cheese added made it perfection. They have an amazing selection though if poppy seed bagels aren’t for you. Everyone was polite and friendly, & they also have a little cute outside area to sit and eat.

Google
Amazingly cheerful, patient, and helpful staff behind the counter. We left San Antonio early Sunday morning and got here in time from breakfast Sunday morning. The place was busy. The toasted everything bagel was great, but why it wasn't served with a pad of butter, I don't understand. The home fries only "so so." The indoor seating is a bit weird. After placing your order, they give you a number to place on the table next door. There's also an outdoor seating area, but it was too hot to eat there. Nonetheless, the service was fast and friendly. Sadly, several tables were not clean, and the washing station appeared to be a total after thought. No sink. The water is in a pitcher that you pour into a bowl on a table.

Google
The food is good and relatively high-quality. The prices are pretty expensive most likely because it is a kosher place so there taking advantage of that. The place itself has a pretty good selection of bagels, cheesecakes, beverages and more. If you’re looking for a kosher place I would overall recommend it.

Yelp
If they still have it peep their Yelp check-in offer! If I'm in this area, it's usually because I'm craving Dandelion Cafe, but today, my craving was for a real deal bagel. So instead of opting for the Dunkin four doors down, I landed here. #supportlocal It's not my first time, but every time I'm in I admire the small things that make this spot memorable and set them apart from their completion. The Jewish influence is undeniable, stated and unstated from the plaque to the offerings, the bagel clock on the wall is cute enough to make even Eeyore smile, the pastry selection ample, and the customer service (which last trip encouraged me to live a little and try a rye bagel (on the house)), pretty solid. While their location is not set up to accommodate a drive-thru, but they do have covered patio seating for warmer days, a nice touch. This week's weather called for an oat milk macchiato and sesame bagel with lox spread. This bagel as well as a few other varieties are offered in skinny versions (a thinner bake), if you wish. For a Houston bagel it faired pretty solid, and certainly hit the spot. From gluten-free bagels to fresh squeezed OJ, challah loaves, cupcakes, a migas bagel and salmon salad, they've got a little something for everyone.

Yelp
I was disappointed in this place. It was a 5-10 minute wait to order even though it really wasn't that busy. They seemed maybe to be working on a large catering order? After placing the order it was another long wait for one bagel with cream cheese. It was 5.50 plus tax and tip for one French Toast bagel and cream cheese. The bagel was $3.00 a dollar more than the other flavors. The cream cheese and application of it I guess cost $2.50. I was disappointed because they also sold 2oz "single serving" cream cheese for $2.00. I thought letting the staff apply it mgiht be more liberal with it or be better than getting it separately but next time I will get separately because the cream cheese didn't even reach the edges of the l bagel.

Yelp
Each time i've come to this place they've been so sweet. Service so quick even in the morning when it's busy. Who doesn't love fresh warm bagels? I've pretty much tried every flavor, even the fun colors. Everything is always so fresh. Bagels are never try or stale. The breakfast bagels are big enough to cut in half an eat the other side for lunch lol I'm always stopping if I'm in the area. Yelp on my friends!
google avatar

Jane B.

Yelp
They have a huge variety of bagels and spreads; the rainbow ones are just gorgeous! It's a smaller shop. They also have cookies and pastries. There's like a Baker's Dozen option as well. There's also an outside seating area which is nice on those rare cooler Houston mornings. Lol. You can also see the kitchen from the ordering area. They aren't skimpy on ingredients either. The everything bagel, for example, has the seasoning on both halves. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area or looking for catering.

Yelp
this place isn't kept in sanitary conditions. there was condensation on their dessert case, and had a bunch of flies inside and buzzing around the food.
google avatar

Tosin A.

Yelp
Probably the best bagel, I have had in Houston. They have speedy service and delicious toppings. Also, they are pescatarian.

Yelp
After a Houston Restaurant Weeks lunch next door, I stopped by Bagel Shop factory to buy a half-dozen bagels and a tub of cream cheese. Bagels are my favorite type of bread and you can't beat a New York-style bagel. Parking is a breeze in the complimentary lot. In addition to bagels, they also have some sweets but I didn't dabble. I did appreciate that they had a good variety of bagels . . . your classics including plain, sesame, poppy, everything etc. and some more exotic varieties including French toast. And if we're talking exotic, they even have a rainbow bagel. It tastes just like a plain bagel but it's trippy and looks like a work of art. It's definitely worth trying to say you've done it! Since I can be basic sometimes, I went with the plain cream cheese. If you're more adventurous than I am when it comes to your spreads, they have plenty of other options too. In my book, Bagel Shop Factory is up there as one of the best bagel spots in town!
google avatar

Diane T.

Yelp
One of my friend's favorite bagel shops in Houston. Their Katy location also has egg everything bagels!!! They have a wide assortment including really fun pretzel everything bagels, rainbow bagels, and challah (essentially egg bagels). You can also buy a variety of cute sweets like decorated cookies or even whole challah loaves. The bagels are fluffy and tender (not as much chew as a typical NY bagel, but still delicious!). There's a good amount of outdoor seating to enjoy the sunshine plus good amount of parking out front.

Shaul B.

Yelp
Excellent excellent bagels. The salads are also very good, especially like the egg and the tuna salads. Stay away from the coffee. Taste bad. I am sure if you get good beans, you get good coffee. Does not seem that they care much about the coffee.
google avatar

Walter P.

Yelp
Not worth the wait. Also, they are closed on Saturday. I would recommend going to the hot bagel shop

Yelp
Nice place. First time. On the quest for almond croissants. Bright, inviting, customer service excellent, fast. Hopefully I've found my bakery for almond croissants. I hope to be a regular. Yep. Almond croissant very favorable. They won me. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Kelsy P.

Yelp
Don't waste your money at Einstein's, the bagel shop can't be beat! They have so many bagel and shmear flavors to choose from, sandwiches, and pastries. The employees are so nice and even accommodated my custom bagel sandwich order. Almost all of their bagels are vegan friendly and the shop is kosher! Challah at ya friends to get breakfast or lunch at Bagel Shop Bakery
google avatar

Patricia Z.

Yelp
I've told all my friends about this bagel spot and the hilcroft location. I no thought I had done all I could to make sure they knew that they are different and that this place is definitely worth a visit. I'm not sure anyone believed me until I brought a bag of bagels to work one day. The rest is history. They've been talking about that day ever since and call it "the day you gave us those amazing bagels." If you want to locate the largest concentration of NY transplants on any given weekend, you will certainly find them here.
google avatar

Cesar Y.

Yelp
Awesome bagels. But be ready to take a shower and wash your clothes when you get home. The place needs a better exhaust system. I don't like everything bagels and that how one smells like when you exit the place. Parking is tricky too. Be careful
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by on a rainy day, so the first thing I noticed was that this location has covered outdoor seating that can keep anyone dry if they chose to sit out there. I ordered the Standard on an Everything bagel, and it came with fries, which I wasn't expecting. The fries were nice and crispy and the bagel had the everything seasoning on both sides making it even more delicious. I loved everything about the bagel. The service was very quick as well, and although they were out of regular milk, the prices were very fair for even a 16 oz cup of coffee. Great establishment, I highly recommend!

David L.

Yelp
Great take out service for kosher coffee. Easy to order via phone and email. Caroline answered my questions and coffee takeout was perfect.
google avatar

Ivy L.

Yelp
One of my favorite bagels in town! Have you ever had a bagel that was perfectly crispy on the outside and has the perfect chewiness?! Well this place has them!! I always try the bagels as-is to see if it passes the test, and this one doesn't disappoint. I love a cinnamon raisin bagel and without being toasted, you can tell this one is fresh out of the oven. I can eat the semi-sweet cinnamon raisin one all day! With so much chew that my mouth starts to get tired from chewing! Lol. They also sell cream cheese and packages of lox in the fridge! They make bagel sandwiches to order and that Nova Lox is delicious with onions, capers, tomatoes and cream cheese! Also comes with perfectly crispy home fries! Bagels are definitely a win here! If you're looking to sit down and have a meal, they have a restaurant next door that has even more options!
google avatar

Karin D.

Yelp
Delicious and consistent. Great service. Highly recommended. Love the challah and bagels.

Victoria P.

Yelp
Bagel with cream cheese came with no cream cheese really. Breakfast sandwich tasted plain and bagel was stale. This is NOT the first time a bagel place in Houston that has been cheap with cream cheese nor protein. Inflation has turned into an excuse for restaurants to abuse what they charge for crappy food.
google avatar

Wendy T.

Yelp
Cute little shop, whippity quick line if you fall into one! Tons of bagel flavors and varieties (pretzel bagel, rainbow bagel!) and fun cream cheeses to choose from (vegetable, rainbow, etc.). Have your pretzel plain, with cream cheese, or made into a sandwich. They sell other pastries like black and white cookies, cinnamon rolls, challah. The don't toast the bagel unless you ask. I might have gone on an off day, but I thought my bagels tasted a little metallic/soapy (maybe dipped in the lye bath too long during the bagel making process!). I still ate it all, so the flavor was yummy, but I could definitely taste the off flavor in my blueberry bagel. Really liked the pretzel one, Om nom nom~~ Will have to (and happily) got back to try some more!
google avatar

Hallie M.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place because the menu looks amazing. But I was so disappointed. The bagels were small and the schmear was lacking. My boyfriend's lox bagel had two tiny slivers of onion, very little fish, and no capers. The hamantaschen lacked flavor, as did the other pastries. Staff is nice though.
google avatar

Dan A.

Yelp
The Bagel Shop Bakery on Bellaire Blvd. is truly a nice stop. The shop includes an extensive menu and a nice outdoor seating area. Great bagels, coffee and service.
google avatar

Enna J.

Yelp
A lot of great Jewish food/menu options along with traditional bagels/baked goods. I also loved that they had vegan cream cheese. They have their assortment of cream cheeses and other small items available for purchase in a fridge/cooler accessible to customers when you walk in. It's a small counter service type place so that means no seating inside and it can get a bit crowded. There is seating outside but it's only semi-private as it's basically right next to the parking lot and busy/noisy street (Chimney Rock). Also it's only the basics as far as coffee is concerned (no fancy concoctions)- regular, decaf and hazelnut flavored. Overall, it's reasonably priced, the food was DELICIOUS and the staff was very friendly.

Elisa P.

Yelp
Clean, comfortable place with fresh, delicious food! Parking right outside is easy. Fair prices, good service. Have been a few times.
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
Their breakfast bagel was tasty and the side of potatoes was well cooked as well. Challah bagel was really tasty - nice and chewy on the inside and golden on the outside and plain cream cheese was a perfect pairing. Their outdoor area was great for waiting for our food and people watching! Overall a great place to go for breakfast but just be prepared to wait a little while for your food if you want to eat there.
google avatar

Hannah M.

Yelp
Bagels are always delicious. Even the plain bagels are wonderful. The sweets are fantastic as well. The breakfast sandwich is unique and extremely tasty!

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
The bagels and baked goods are tasty. So far the bagels I've tried are the oat bran, banana nut, and blueberry, and cinnamon raisin. I find the banana bread to have a salty aftertaste, which is strange, but it is still good. I am salt sensitive so maybe it's just me. I like the Hamentashen cookies a lot.

Fastfxr F.

Yelp
Me: Can I get a plain bagel, toasted, with jalapeno cream cheese? BSB: No, you cannot. Me: What? BSB: You can buy a tub of it. So yeah. If you want a single bagel, go somewhere else. Additionally, there's no list of what cream cheeses they offer--or apparently will sell you--so you have to ask them to read them off. Sorry, but I'd avoid this place.
google avatar

Christien W.

Yelp
When you can't go to NYC for a bagel, this place will bring the NYC bagel to you! ⁣ They serve authentic New York-style bagels and deli meals since 1981. And so happy that they now have a new location in Bellaire.⁣⁣ ⁣ Their bagels are so good! My favorite were the Rainbow bagel and the Signature breakfast on everything bagel. Not only they're so pretty, but also very tasty. Yum!⁣⁣ And they have outdoor seating area too! Which a plus especially during this time. They take social distancing seriously and I love that about them. They even limit the amount of that inside the store. Such a great brunch spot. Highly recommend this place! ⁣ Rainbow bagel⁣⁣ Signature breakfast on everything bagel⁣⁣ Homemade salmon burger on fresh bread challah⁣⁣

Therese M.

Yelp
I picked up two red velvet cupcakes today, one for me, one for coworker. These are the most awful, stale cupcakes I've ever had in my life! Shame on them for selling these old goods. I could not give my coworker the one I got for her. I'd be too embarrassed to present her with such an inedible item.

Cynthia I.

Yelp
Have you altered your recipe in the last few months? The poppy bagels that I order used to be delicious, but lately they don't have as much flavor. They remind me of eating white bread - very soft & tasteless. I keep hoping they'll get back to their former level.
google avatar

Victoria C.

Yelp
Craving some NYC style bagels and was not disappointed! Garlic bagel toasted with lox cream cheese was a hit. Perfect amount of bite without the dough being too tough.
google avatar

Ken L.

Yelp
In the great Best Bagel in Houston debate my new favorite is The Bagel Shop Bakery in Bellaire. Yes the bagels in all their many flavors are very good and I love the skinny bagels options but it is also the whitefish salad and the tuna salad that are the best I've had since leaving New York. I moved to Katy and I'm having withdrawal symptoms.
google avatar

Crystal John K.

Yelp
Had to stop by and check this place out. There is a restaurant next door and owned by the same owners.
google avatar

Caylan J.

Yelp
Had an issue the first time I came here. But the company went above and beyond making it right. Not many places will do that and I truly appreciate it. Will be a returning customer after this!

Yelp
I was super excited to discover a bagel shop closer to home-- but after 2 visits, I am willing to continue to drive a little for my bagels. In all fairness, the bagels here are great. If I were evaluating just the bagel it would get 4 or 5 stars. Unfortunately, price, staff treatment, service and my cream cheese are factors for me! First visit: I went Sunday morning with my baby girl. While waiting to order, something happened in the kitchen and the woman working back there (maybe manager) YELLED at the employee in an incredibly disrespectful way, in front of all other employees, and a place full of customers. This was nearly a deal breaker for me and def stopped me from writing a 5 star review. But then it probably took about 10-15 minutes to get our 2 bagels. There's a cute little patio you can sit on though while you wait. Again, bagels were great- although a little light on cream cheese- but still great. 2nd visit: torn on whether I should go back, I decided I'd try again. This time I was going to order offline for pickup but it said ASAP pickup was 30-45 min. I also couldn't figure out how to add cream cheese on the online order. I went in person and this time also realized the single bagel with cream cheese is $5.50- which seems crazy - and double our normal bagel place! Accepting that I was now buying an overpriced bagel, I was shocked when I got to my car and opened my bagel box to check my order. If I had opened this box when I got home, I would have been livid. Luckily I was in the parking lot with nothing to lose so I went back in and asked for more cream cheese. They were kind about it and said "Sorry about that ma'am" and sent me on my way with a bagel that had enough cream cheese to at least cover a full side of the bagel! ...but for $5.50, I should be able to get in and out or a bagel shop with a great bagel, a reasonable amount of cream cheese, a positive customer experience. For half the price of one bagel, I can get an exceptional bagel with an excess of cream cheese. For the price of 2 bagels with cream cheese here, I can get a half dozen bagels and 2 tubs of cream cheese at Hot Bagel Shop. It's a bit of a drive from us but all in all a better value and experience. I wish this would have gone differently!
google avatar

Tommie D.

Yelp
Good bagels. Great selection. Slow service. Not the friendliest people. Hopefully it was just the Sunday morning hangover service.

Stacy D.

Yelp
What an amazing spot! As a New Yorker these bagels are as good as home! The staff is super friendly and the Chef is so nice and humble (even though she is famous). She came out and explained the different bagels and desserts and catering options. There was a little line outside but it's well controlled for covid. The prices are slightly higher, but the staff did a good job explaining the kosher practices and reasons to why it is priced higher. Will be back for sure!!!!
google avatar

Crystal T.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful new place, matched by excellent food and good service. We had a bagel, a Ruben and a latkes and coffee. Everything was great but I have to say the latkes were the best I've ever had. Can't wait to go back and try something else.
google avatar

Kristian M.

Yelp
First of all, the smell in the restaurant is terrible. It smells like chemicals which made me second guess actually ordering. Then I received my lox bagel that basically had no salmon on it. The bagel itself is also terrible, save yourself some money and go to Einstein's
google avatar

Drew Y.

Yelp
Love it here! The only place I can get a hot bagel with vegan cream cheese! They also have vegan lox and beyond meat patties!
google avatar

Leslie F.

Yelp
Had amazing breakfast bagel sandwich and challah french toast sticks. I will be back for sure!!

Jill A.

Yelp
OMG!, love this place! Cool decor, can handle large groups, a bar and a a big room for special events. They even have Vegan meals and GF pancakes, which I can never find around town.
google avatar

Laura K.

Yelp
Same super service as at the original location, except closer (for me, anyway)! I call in my order, and someone, masked ofc, walks it out to me. Best bagels and challah in Houston!! Like Kenny & Ziggy's but better prices and more reasonable portions. Lol. Longtime customer. I look forward to coming in for breakfast & lunch when this pandemic is over.
google avatar

Richard J.

Yelp
Fabulous hot bagels - so glad this place opened in the neighborhood! And what an upgrade over the pawn shop that used to be there LOL!

Jeannie P.

Yelp
I've been to the original NY Deli and bagel shop off Hillcroft and decided to give this location a try. I wasn't impressed. I think I'll stick with the original location even though it's farther from my home. I mean the bagels were ready but half of their baked goods were not at 7 AM in the morning. And being that they close at 4 PM and they are more along the lines of a traditional bakery I expected them to at least have bread for sale ready for people that come in the early morning so they don't have to return later that day and make a second trip to get their bread for the day. They just need a little more polishing to keep up with the original location.
google avatar

Jacqueline L.

Yelp
They forgot our order and we were the only customers there. Waited for over half an hour for a breakfast bagel

Mohamed I.

Yelp
The worst cupcake ever. The customer service is not good. They advertise fake pictures and they don't have the bakeries they advertise for. The manager was lying about they ran out and in fact they never had these bakeries they advertise for.
google avatar

Layla G.

Yelp
Very disappointing first order. We ordered this am on Uber and our entire order was wrong. We ordered a savory box and they sent a sweet box. We ordered 2 coffees and noted no flavor and they put flavor. We ordered a lox bagel and no potatoes and they sent potatoes. Overall a horrible experience.

Merritt K.

Yelp
I expected the same quality breakfast I had enjoyed for years at the sister store - New York Bagel Shop. What a disappointment! The breakfast SPECIAL was anything but. Easy over eggs too well done, potato pancake more like hash browns and unaccompanied by sour cream or applesauce as is the custom at New York, the bagel like a brick, not served with bUTTER!! I have taken the bagels out by the dozen and they were very good but they should not be cooking breakfast. I ate it out of sheer hunger (15 minutes) to serve in a styrofoam container. I'll have to return to NY for breakfast as I am done with the Bagel shop Bakery.
