If you ask any of my family members or close friends, one of the things they would share about me is that I believe in and practice healthy competition. Therefore, I had my friendly game face on when my wife and I entered The Bankshot on a rainy Saturday evening to hangout with our friends. After an employee finished tuning one of the televisions to a Warriors playoff game, she made her way to the bar area and acknowledged us. Following explaining how the pool table reservation process works, we ordered drink.
I opted for a delicious fruit forward Mango brew, while my wife ordered the Soju Peach Mango (a little bit too sweet for my liking); please note that you can sample any of the brews on tap. Our couple friends ordered wings, fries, jalapeño poppers, and drinks. The food arrived very hot (not complaining); although I'm not a fan of bar food, the jalapeño poppers were pretty satisfying. While doing some well-needed catching up, we took turns shooting pool. Ironically, we were able to complete a game in the allotted one hour time slot!
This was the perfect couples rainy day date night activity. With the exception of two gentlemen, the place was dang near empty. Which was a blessing and perfect timing for us because I've heard that they can be extremely busy. In the past I have visited Blue Cue whenever I wanted to shoot pool; however, I'm happy that I can make the five minute drive from my home to support a local business like The Bank Shot!
