I love to come here with family and play them at these tables. I must admit that the distance between tables can be a tad bit inconvenient when playing since others may use the one next to you. Besides that this place is really good to get to know how pool works or if you just want to practice. It is not recommended to play here alone but nothing is stopping you.

I have been going to this place for a few years off and on. Above and beyond all else, what makes this place great is the friendly staff. I have always felt welcome here and vibe is always just perfect whether hanging out with friends or just going solo. I look forward to sharing this place to more of my friends, and I wish the owners and the staff the very best.

If you ask any of my family members or close friends, one of the things they would share about me is that I believe in and practice healthy competition. Therefore, I had my friendly game face on when my wife and I entered The Bankshot on a rainy Saturday evening to hangout with our friends. After an employee finished tuning one of the televisions to a Warriors playoff game, she made her way to the bar area and acknowledged us. Following explaining how the pool table reservation process works, we ordered drink. I opted for a delicious fruit forward Mango brew, while my wife ordered the Soju Peach Mango (a little bit too sweet for my liking); please note that you can sample any of the brews on tap. Our couple friends ordered wings, fries, jalapeño poppers, and drinks. The food arrived very hot (not complaining); although I'm not a fan of bar food, the jalapeño poppers were pretty satisfying. While doing some well-needed catching up, we took turns shooting pool. Ironically, we were able to complete a game in the allotted one hour time slot! This was the perfect couples rainy day date night activity. With the exception of two gentlemen, the place was dang near empty. Which was a blessing and perfect timing for us because I've heard that they can be extremely busy. In the past I have visited Blue Cue whenever I wanted to shoot pool; however, I'm happy that I can make the five minute drive from my home to support a local business like The Bank Shot!

Very chill and accommodating place. The staff are super nice and open to helping out anyone who hasn't been there before. Pool cues are able to be borrowed and pool tables and balls were in decent playing condition- its a nice place for anyone who plays pool to go and have fun with more casual friends. We got some fries and chicken bites and they were actually pretty good, and the selection of beers and drinks was quite good too. 👍 definitely worth it for a cool time with buds, playing some pool.

Google
For a starter pool bar it was an experience, the food was finger foods/appetizers it wasn't out of an air fryers kudos to the staff for the mind blowing quick bites, variety of beverages was acceptable. Will be holding a guys night there soon with the fellas. Looking forward to the expansion on both the drink and food menus. Keep it up y'all

Great place to hang out in Elk Grove. Good prices. One of the better selections of local beers. Servers were awesome.

Yelp
This used to be a fun date spot on the weekends, not anymore. We've supported The Bank Shot since it opened, we are always looking to support local. I have 5 kids (2with disabilities) so we're loving the family vibe with the exception of weekends. After around 8pm Fri & Sat they used to have a bouncer come in and card, allowing it to function as a true "bar & pool hall" at night on the weekends PERFECT. However, that is no longer what you can expect. After months of going through some major family transitions (including being laid off and losing my income) we decided to venture out for a lil date night this past weekend and were surprised to see that it was after 8pm when we arrived (after dropping our special needs daughter at the Senior Ball with her para) as there was no bouncer. We grabbed a beer and a small table to play a game of backgammon that we had brought from home. There was one other party in the seating area ... 4 adults and 3 children. By 9pm the kids were BORED. The parents were enjoying their night out (I love that and "get it") but I had left mine at home for a date night so when all 3 children moved to a table on the other side of ours and started using it as a jungle gym ... rolling on the floor, sitting and standing on the table, doing a wheelbarrow with their feet on the walls ... of course laughing and giggling (as children should and do) right in our ear as they chose a table right next to ours to have their grand OUTDOOR adventure activities on. Disappointing but, it's ok, they're children. My husband went to the counter and asked the male and the younger female if they would assist with asking the parents to address their children. Unfortunately, the guests were friends of the owner so we received no help from the staff. We decided that we would just finish our game snacks, and beers and then takeoff ... we would keep this in mind the next time we were looking for an adult date night. However, the parents had noticed that my husband spoke to the people at the counter about it and they stood up and started recording the kids doing stunts on the walls & tables ... encouraging them to do crazier stunts, taking the chaotic activity up a level. My husband said, I just don't understand it and out of no where, one of the females to my back started a full verbal assault on me. I was caught completely off guard, as I was facing my husband and the wall. She started yelling and saying that she is friends with the owner (Rob) and that her kids can do whatever the F- they want. The staff did nothing to address the situation. I honestly feared my husband would stop tolerating her absurd abusive behavior and lose himself. We left our drinks and food. This is SO unfortunate and disappointing. it's always been full of family and friends of the owners...that was part of the appeal, but if your "houseguests" become unruly and attack strangers (loyal customers), unprovoked, staff should handle that maintaining safety and order.

Yelp
I've given The Bank Shot two chances, and unfortunately, both experiences left me disappointed. On my first visit, the wait time was over 7 hours--yes, 7 hours. Despite the absurd wait, I decided to give them another try. The second time, I called ahead to inquire about the wait. I was told there was one person ahead of me, and it was strictly "first come, first served." When I arrived, I checked in and was informed that the person who called ahead wasn't there, so I was next in line. After waiting for at least 20 minutes, a family walked in and checked in. As a table cleared up, I approached the bar to confirm I was next, only to be told that the person who called in earlier (but wasn't there when I arrived) was now ahead of me. The inconsistency and lack of transparency in their seating policy are frustrating. They claim it's "first come, first served," but it seems like they pick and choose who gets priority. I won't be returning and cannot recommend this establishment. You'll never know how long you'll actually have to wait, and the unclear process makes for an overall unpleasant experience.

Yelp
First time here. Stopped in on a Friday around 4p, wasn't busy at all. One staff. Not super friendly but ok. Nice place to hang out with friends. Tried the Laughing Monk & Great Incentivizer. Both were good. I didn't order any food. There's plenty of parking. I'd come here again.

Yelp
Awesome spot for billiards in Elk Grove ideal for hanging out with friends, casual date night, or even a fun family activity (if your kids are older). There are about 6 pool tables in the place and a good number of beers on tap. They check your ID upon entry if you plan on drinking, stamp your wrist with literally a stamp that reads "I'm Old" (lol) , then you can head over to the bar to grab beers. ID check isn't a requirement if you don't plan on drinking. They have several IPAs, but I went with a sour. I also saw a cider and seltzer option so they seem to carry a good variety. All the pool tables were taken when we came on a Friday night around 9pm, so we put our name on the waitlist with the bartender and had our first beer at the bar. We were able to get a pool table after about 15-20 minutes and enjoyed about 3 games and another round of drinks. They have a juke box (thank you to those who paid to get some music going). If no one in the place pays for songs then you basically just hear the sound of balls banging everywhere, and the vibe is much better when the place has music on (kinda wish they just had music on instead of no music unless people specifically pay for it on the juke box). Playing pool is about $16 per hour as of 2024 and beers were about 8-10 bucks each. We see ourselves coming back when we have family and friends visiting since our families would enjoy bank shot.

Yelp
Came to this place on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at 1:30 pm. I really enjoyed the Little Red Chevette by Oak Park Brewery, and I would have had two or three more. Unfortunately, I was close out after the first pour, and was never asked if I wanted another. As a matter of fact, the bartender never even said one word to me. Kinda strange imo. If she worked for me, I would demand a smile while greeting the patrons, and I would encourage her to ask all customers if they want to order food or another drink (as long as they are not too intoxicated). I strongly recommend The Bank Shot to find another position for this girl, she's definitely not bartender material and she is costing you business.

Yelp
A part of me wants to gatekeep since it's a nice quiet location, but I'll share the goods. Quiet, great place to kick back and decompress. Only a couple of groups while we were there, less than half full. No smoke inside, great since our group had two toddlers. Didn't see the bill so can't advise on pricing.

Yelp
I've been to The Bank Shot a few times now, me I love the happy hour deals. I believe Mondays are half off food and Tuesdays are $6 beer. This is a great spot if you want to watch sports and play some pool. Very clean and service is on point! I also believe that during happy hour pool tables are 50% off!

Yelp
Bank shot is the best Billiard place in town! Perfect cues, table and workers! Shout out to Wington and Rose. I go here all the time and I never once have gotten a bad experience. Wington and Rose always gives good service and makes sure their customers are doing good. Also, the beer and food they have are phenomenal! Always so tempting to get a beer everytime I go. I love how they change out their beers pretty often so customers get to try out new beers Everytime they go here. Such a good place to chill with friends and play pool. HIGHLY recommend everybody to come here!

Yelp
We came for an after party and was pleasantly shocked to see this within the area! The shopping center where it is located has plenty of parking. Walking in, they have extra seating when walk in so you can socialize with others. Plenty of table to go around, and a good selection of beer to choose from. I felt like the area was a good place to go if your interested in billiards.

Yelp
Wanted to practice some pool shots without the atmosphere of a pool hall. There are 8 Olhausen tables, these are high end tables and serviced by Capitol Billiards the best in Northern California. The beer is very cold and served in a glass, unfortunately they were out of 'Trejo's Cerveza' however they served me a similar lager it was very good. There is a small counter to drink beer and eat. The guys at the counter were very polite and even brought the beer to the table. Customer service is fantastic. There are TVs to watch sports, the Rams 49er game was on for Monday Night Football. They have a sense of humor, the sign over the urinal had me in stitches. This reminds of me of the classy pool parlors in LA, only smaller. Will return to try the ''Trejo's Cerveza'.

Yelp
I love this pool spot, and I'm so happy I found it considering they're newly opened! I don't play pool, but my boyfriend and his cousins loves to. I literally just come here for their brew area. I love that they have so many choices of beer to pick from, and they let you sample as well. I got the chance to meet Rose and the other server, and they were awesome. They're very friendly, attentive, and easy to talk to. My boyfriend and his cousins love love love coming here. We've been back here twice. They say compared to other billiards, this spot is a lot cleaner and more fun. We usually stay here for about 4 hours or until they close. They have a machine you can play music off of using an app as well as game machines. For their food menu, we've tried their chicken bites, chicken wings, French fries, and onion rings. I believe they're still expanding their menu, but everything that we ordered was delicious. It's even more delicious when you're getting buzzed off beer and shooting pool. I'd highly recommend this pool spot to anyone who enjoys playing pool or accompanying people who do. Give this spot a try and you won't regret it :)

Yelp
Bankshot is a pretty awesome place if you are looking to play and grab drinks! The place is really well kept and super nice service. I would definitely go again soon.

Yelp
Such a fun place! I came here with a couple friends on a Sunday and had a great time. We found parking easily and were greeted right away upon entering. The place is clean and decorated so nicely! They have some tables and high chairs to sit and enjoy food and beer at as well as plenty of tables to choose from to play at. They even have some arcade games! I was amazed with all the local beers that they have on tap! They rotate them every week which is awesome because you can try so many different beers! My friends and I played pool for 1-2 hours and although we were pretty bad, we had so much fun. The tables are all in fantastic condition. Roze helped us out throughout the entire time we were there. She was very knowledgeable about the beers, very patient and kind, and played great music. Can't wait to come back :)

Yelp
Very helpful service. Nice beer selection. Went on Valentines a Friday night and tables were full. Ordered a drink while we waited and were able to get a table in less than 30 minutes.

Yelp
Have been coming back since they opened a few years ago. Always clean and friendly with a good tap list!

Yelp
This is a really great spot to hang out in Elk Grove! It's laid back, fun, and a non-intimidating. I've been here twice and had a blast both times. My husband and I came on a Thursday night around 7:30 and grabbed two beer flights ($12 each). All of the tables were being used so we sat at the dining area to snack on jalapeño poppers and chicken egg rolls. The staff member said that the chicken egg rolls are homemade by the owner! We played tic tac toe, battleship, and guess who while we were on the pool table wait list. We didn't have to wait long and played for about an hour ($14 per hour). We loved the chicken egg rolls so much we ordered it again and this time added mozzarella sticks. It felt like small town hangout vibes. Overall a fun date night spot in Elk Grove if you're looking for something low key. We would have loved more game options and maybe an electronic way to view the waitlist.

Yelp
It was date night and we didn't want to travel far so a quick search on Yelp lead us to The Bank Shot. It was a Sunday night around 8pm and there were surprisingly lots of people. Thankfully we were able to get a table right away, it'll set you back $14 an hour. They have 6 tables and they are decently spaced which is a plus. I've been to pool halls where they crowd the tables so close to each other that you're constantly waiting on the person next to you to shoot so you can go or getting jabbed by a pool stick. Beers are on tap and they are all craft beers. Wish they had a little more selection of sours and seltzers. They also offer small bites, we got the egg rolls which we enjoyed. For 2 hours of pool, egg rolls and a few beers we spent $60 which was by far one of our cheapest date nights but we really enjoyed ourselves! The Bank Shot is definitely on our list of places to return to.

Yelp
Decided to spend our Saturday night at Bank Shot! The customer service was great, they were really friendly and gave good suggestions on a beer. They said they rotate their beer choices weekly so that's nice to be able to try different ones. I liked how clean they were, wiping each billard table down before the next group could use it and I saw them frequently wiping the bar and tables down. There is 6 pool tables and a couple of machine games in the corner. It was fairly cheap, $14 per table no time limit. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and chicken bites and they were both really good! Would recommend this place!
google avatar

Ken'Ken N.

Yelp
This place was alright... kind of small and the tables were too close together. You had to be really be respectful and move around other players who were taking their time which can be kind of irritating considering you're paying by the hour for use of your table. Food was good but over priced, lady bartender seemed to have a lil bit of an attitude... but other than that it was aii.
google avatar

Yelp
It's about time Elk Grove got a decent pool place on this side of town! The Bank Shot is a pretty cool and chill place to hang out and play pool with friends. They have a nice variety and choice of beers from local breweries as well as a cider and hard seltzer option. Games were half off on this 4th of July which was nice! We all got a little hungry so we ordered their chicken wings which came with our choice of sauce on the side as well as some crispy delicious fries. The wings were on point and paired up with our beers perfectly. We will definitely return to The Bank Shot!
google avatar

Vanessa R.

Yelp
What a fun place! It's nice to have a new spot to hang out in Elk Grove with later hours. My boyfriend and I visited this place on July 4th in the afternoon and it was pretty chill. $14 per hour for Billiards with 6 people max per table. 8 tables available. Happy hour is from 3-6pm on weekdays with Billiards half off. They have a pretty basic menu of small bites and a decent rotating menu of beers. We were primarily there for Billiards, so can't speak on the beer. Wings and fries kept us satiated, but nothing to write home about. I imagine this place can/will get packed at later hours, so I'll probably keep coming here during their happy hour so I know it's guaranteed to find a table with my friends and get a discount. This place is worth checking out if you're in the area!
google avatar

Tinah Y.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous place to chill, hang out, grab a bite, have a beer or two, and most importantly, test your pool skills! Great location, plenty of parking, and great professional and friendly staff. I believe the tables are 8 ft and it's $14 per hour. They have a good selection of beer, from someone that likes a more fruity cider, like me, to someone that likes a dark IPA. For now, they have a tournament on Wednesdays. But, more to come. It's a family oriented place, so bring the whole family out and have some fun.
google avatar

Yelp
9 foot Olehausen tables? Yes: but in need of serious help. Mine (table 8) was very dirty, and was not in good repair. Lots of pop outs. The balls were also dirty. There's old, and then there's neglected. It doesn't take much to clean the balls. Expensive for the quality. On the plus side: nice friendly suburban vibe, and excellent beer on tap. A relatively small place, 8 tables, good music and lots of tvs for sports and good sound on the jukebox. If you're not too serious about pool, this place is fine. The guy at the counter said that they planned to refelt the tables soon. I'm trying to up my game and will be looking elsewhere for now, but I'd love to return once the tables are fixed up.

Yelp
TL;DR: cool inexpensive family friendly place to enjoy some billiards and finger food. Location: Located off Elk Grove Blvd, The Bank Shot is Elk Grove's newest Inside: The Bank Shot is open Monday to Friday 3pm - 11pm and Saturday & Sunday 12pm to 11pm. The space is well it and bright. I came during the soft opening and noticed a lot of parents teaching their children how to play billiards. Inside the Bank Shot has 8 professional pool tables, jukebox, several tvs with sports on, an Instagram wall, air hockey table, clean bathrooms, and plenty of tables to sit and hang out. It looks like a great space to hang out, play some billiards and enjoy a few local beers. Right now they serve finger food (fries, wings, onion rings etc). Prices were very reasonable and everything I ordered was cooked to perfection. As of this review they have a pretty good happy hour 3pm-6pm they offer half off billiards and $1 off beers. Overall: I'd definitely go back and bring my niece and nephew to enjoy some air hockey and teach them what I know about billiards, lol. There's plenty of tasty snacks for them to enjoy while I can have a frosty ipa.

Yelp
Came to the grand opening on a Friday and it was a packed house. They had live music, raffles with awesome prizes. I just love the ambience of the place. They have variety of beer on tap to choose from. From the setup to the drinks, food, owners and staff everything was on point! Especially for being extremely busy, they were able to accommodate to the customers as best as they could. Everyone looked happy and was enjoying the night. If you're looking for place to hang out with friends or family and shoot some pool, enjoy a few beers and snack on some delicious munchies this place is for you! It's definitely great to see a family owned business care about their customers. I highly recommended to come support your local business. You won't be disappointed. I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Had the chance to come during soft opening and the big grand opening. Great atmosphere! Brought my son there and he keeps asking to go back. Super kid friendly. My son played air hockey and connect 4. He was reigning champ for a little while . They are also looking to hold pool classes for kids! Great selection of beers and snacks! It's nice to finally have a tap room/pool hall/hangout spot closer to the heart of Elk Grove and not on the outskirts. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. This is definitely my new go to place!
google avatar

Darryl H.

Yelp
Really cool spot to play pool and watch a game with a friend or friends . Came here with my tennis buddy after hitting balls at Bartholomew Sports Park to play some eight-ball. Nice young lady helped us out at the bar/counter and the place was super chill. Great place to play if you dont like the bar scene- hourly price to rent a table is reasonable and I grabbed a few sodas. The crowd is mellow (we went on a Wed. night) - I'll have to go on a Friday or Saturday night sometime to see how crowded it gets. We coincidentally went there the same night as the Kings' home opener and chilled at the counter while watching on their screens. Am definitely going again, probably my buddy and I after tennis on a Monday or Weds. night.

Yelp
Rob took care of us !!!! Thank you so much for the hospitality! Amazing spot to bring to Elk Grove, definitely appreciated. Great beer

Yelp
Found this gem randomly when my partner and I just wanted to kill time, beer was refreshing! Good prices. Bank Shot had some cool decor, not too bright and not too dim inside and many tvs to watch from. Many billiards tables to choose from and The staff was friendly and the place seemed like a very lowkey amazing spot to hang out, my mission is to try every beer they have.
google avatar

Yelp
Had my fantasy football league meeting here on Friday. Brought back some good memories of having fun, playing pool with friends, with some drinks and food.. It's an upgrade from sharkeys.. the next closest poolhall, that I used to play often. The Bankshot is a great new local business. It was a friendly fun environment.. Will go again.. Wishing the owners a lot of success for many years to come.
google avatar

Jessica N.

Yelp
This place is super cute and chill! There's 6 pool tables and when I went, it wasn't that busy. The workers were really helpful in suggesting what beer I should get (I'm not the biggest beer drinker). They also had snack options - I got the BBQ Chicken Bites & Fries which I really liked.
google avatar

Liaoi B.

Yelp
Food - simple easy finger food , it's a 3 it's super small mainly like 5 items in menu . I recommend the chicken bites , mozzarella sticks, and onion rings. Service - 10/5 above and beyond definitely recommend. Staff is very friendly, the owner is attentive and everyone working create a welcoming environment. Ambiance - 5/5 , in a safe community in Elk Grove, Inside it's very new and well decorated.

H C.

Yelp
Great service and ambiance - we were out with our kids, relearning the rules of the game with one another. Enjoyed the beer selection, Pac on the jukebox and small bites ... All characteristic of classic good time hanging out.

Yelp
It's so sad ): i came with my friends last time and had a blast, but i went today and this one girl in the front is really rude. She knows who she is because we walked out and didn't come back purely because of her attitude. I know I'm not the only one that knows who this person is but I'm sorry to the owners of this place as she is hurting your business. There are other reviews referring to this same girl and the only reason this place would get anything but a 5 star. It's just hard to support a business when this is the way you're treated when you walk in. You know who you are.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, great beer, great food. What else can you ask for? Owners here are super chill. Walked in and was well greeted and he walked us through all their beers. Great job guys!

Yelp
This place was amazing. Staff was cool, and atmosphere was relaxed. Everyone of my party of 8had a good time. Pool table were easily accessible but if we had to wait, time was quick on other times we had to wait for a turn at the pool tables. Definitely will come back here over and over again!
google avatar

Yelp
Chill and cool place. No selection of beers. Pool tables are clean and well maintained. Staff is inviting

Yelp
I love this place. The selection of beers is amazing. They also have fantastic hot sauce, but it isn't on the regular menu, so get some, and shhh!!

Yelp
I love the Bank Shot!! You really can't beat this spot because 1) it's so chill and clean and they got great pool tables and a nice lil set up with multiple tvs with the game on and a jukebox in the corner plus some arcade games 2) their drinks are well priced and well poured 3) the staff here is incredible -- so nice and attentive -- real great service and of course 4) the price for games is perfect. happy hours are amazing, some times the wait can be a bit long but once it's your turn you can play a 2 hour pool game without problem. This would have definitely been a killer spot when I was in high school but it just opened early in 2022. Perfect date night spot and Kid friendly too! Have gone back many a times and will be back many a times.

Yelp
Fun light and upbeat atmosphere. Beer and wine available. 8 pool tables. 5 TVs playing sports. Good music. Some growing pains for their first night which is expected. Will update soon!

Yelp
Stop by here a few weeks ago during happy hour. Lady at the counter was kind and helpful. We played for 3hrs and it cost us only ($12-$14). I would come here again if it wasn't too far from me!

Yelp
Great spot for a brew, and an even better spot for some pool! Eight tables and a rotating set of great brews on tap. Tvs to watch games, friendly staff and patrons, and a range of small bites complete this new and fun Elk Grove staple.

Yelp
Nice clean place to hang out with your friends. Pool tables are clean & sanitized after use. Lots of open spaces & the junk box is not blasting loud music that will hurt your ears. The volume is just right. The staff are pretty cool & the beers are awesome. There are small tables near the pool tables where you can put drinks & hang your cue sticks so you can enjoy ur food & drink without having to hold it. Max 4 ppl per table & $14 an hr is not bad. You can also catch their happy hour (till 6pm on wkday) for $7 an hr. Cool place & affordable.

Yelp
We've waited for this spot to open for at least 2 years......when the sign first went up and so did our curiosity. Elk Grove's first "Pool Hall" with perfect and beautiful pool tables, craft beers on tap, snacks, TV's for sports, and other games to play. The space is well designed with owners who have a background in restaurant hospitality and pool and have built this from the ground up to please. Great Happy Hour deals. Fun place to hang with friends.

Yelp
I definitely recommend coming to The Bank Shot. The Bank Shot had an amazing atmosphere, offers great variety of beers on tap, and the lighting is great as well. The staff was very amazing and helpful. We would definitely come again!
