I've only been here for 3 months, but I liked the atmosphere, especially Erin, the scheduler who was very friendly, understanding and welcoming. The management is very professional. The residents, some of them a bit complicated, but I manage them patiently. A very nice building, the interior is very clean, and is under reconstruction, which gives it a very clean and habitable appearance. With the teamwork of some colleagues, the job is not very stressful or exhausting. The Banyan at Montclair is a very nice place with professional workers. The employees take good care of the residents and the activities team does a very good job and puts the residents in an inexplicable atmosphere. This makes these residents feel at home and always have a smile on their faces.

I’ve seen a big turn around within the building. They have repainted and started remolding giving the building a new modern look. Staff and receptionist are extremely inviting, truly feels like family everytime I step foot in the door🩷

From the first day at this place was a nightmare. if you really care about your love one you would not send them hear. Barely any heat number 1 rude staff. good luck seein there dr hes barely ever there. They left my grandma in the cold for 10 min outside waiting for transfer van and she only had a t shirt on. And if your love one press emergency button they take forever to respond because there too busy talking to each other on there phones ect.And when discharged they said that my grandma would have all the appts set up for pain specialist ect and also said they give her pain meds until she could get in to a pain clinic And that never happened. There very unorganized if i could give zero stars I would.

My grandpa was here for 3 days. He had a room, was provided meals, and checked on occasion, given his medication. There was someone by his side 24/7 so if we had not been there then I fear he wouldn’t have gotten fed, not that he had much of an appetite anyway since he was in hospice. I would worry about long term care. Please check in on your loved ones! I have talked with management and there is behind the scene work orders in progress so that makes me feel a little better.

Please consider contacting the governor and the federal officials regarding conditions that are beyond proper care for any human being. People deserve to be treated with dignity and respect regardless of economic status. If these caregivers take an oath and not able to abide by the oath-for God sake find another job. I truly believe that they will get exactly in return what they have done or not doing to help the most vulnerable people in society. You will reap what you have sown. Please report anything that you feel is not suitable for anyone regardless if they’re a family member.
