Had a grand time at this gem of a place! I had just done the Edge City Climb (1,271ft) and was buzzed and in need of a drink. Happened upon BAR at Moynihan with my parents. The Irishman behind the bar provided well poured Guinness and fantastic conversation. Had a fun and relaxing time here. Didn't wanna leave but they had to close haha. Cillian, all the best with your endeavours and I'll keep an eye out for an Irish resto at Sardinia. Sláinte!

Nice bar and fun area to wait for your train and have a drink. However, service was very slow. We almost decided to leave. Also, there are no CLOCKS visible in the area. In a train station...

You don’t expect to find a legit bar in a train hall. They have a really great selection of drinks and the bartenders are attentive and friendly. I’d come here even if I wasn’t traveling. Highly recommend the cold brew martini!

The blond caucasian bartender with the blond layered short hair cut who was attending at the bar today at 3pm was god awful! Terrible, you need better and more professional and overall educated and kind new one. If you’re traveling it’s about service, she was not helpful when I asked about the menu, and told me just to scan the menu and read it everything is there. This lady sucks. She was interrupting my conversation asking twice about how was my second drink cause she didn’t agree with the tip. If I could I would never gave neither for the first drink cause her attitude. For sure she has a behavior problem. The worst was that she was expecting a very good tip even her terrible and rude service. Hope the bar changes her or you… potential customer stay away, if you don’t want get more stressed for your trip.

Great place to sit and have a drink while waiting for a friend or your train. Used the QR code ordering system and drinks showed up right away. It's great for being in the center of a train station

Yelp
This bar is a surprising, interesting place. I was waiting for my train, and walk into the market place with a bar at the center that is full of people just off work, enjoying a DJ? I was not expecting that. And the DJ was playing a balance of hits from the 90s/2000s. I enjoyed my Wednesday evening waiting for a train. The cocktails were decent, it's not the best you'll ever have but still refreshing. I got the bees knees and Tommy's margarita. The margarita was the better of the two. Prices are standard for nyc. Honestly, if I'm in the area looking for a spot or to meet with people I'll keep this place in mind. It's central, wide open, has many food options and exciting.

Ove come to numerous events in the moynihan hall that featured this bar. The staff is usually really friendly and drinks are good.

Yelp
While waiting for the 5:14pm to Babylon train, we had cocktails at The Bar at Moynihan. A glass of rosé and a cosmopolitan will set you back $32. There's plenty of security and it's nice to see ppl enjoying themselves while waiting for their trains to arrive. The 8th avenue side of Penn Station/Amtrak is beautiful, clean & vibrant. The hustle of NYC is alive & well.

Yelp
Service is slow but the staff doesn't bother you when you sit and join a patron at the bar. They are used to having folks get items (coffee) from other establishments. On football days it seems they have strange channels on. Like one day they had the rodeo.... True they didn't advertise themselves as a sports bar. But the rodeo seemed like a strange option.

Yelp
So cool to find this happening bar back behind the main lobby on the concourse level! Now staying open later and later (past their original closing time of 10pm), the Bar at Moynihan is colorful, loud, fun, and the perfect spot to take a load off before or after your train ride. Today was my first time in The beautiful new Moynihan Train Hall and oh wow, what an amazing improvement. For years and years I have huddled, crowded and hot, looking shoulder to shoulder up at a screen waiting for the track number to appear. No more! Head to Moynihan and follow the signs for Restrooms and then hang a turn to the FOOD HALL. Then head toward the awesome music or look for the huge sign that says BAR!! Craft beers, full service bar, and salty snacks to keep you going. They even have cans to go for your train ride! DJ spins all the hip oldies and makes it super fun. During the day, grab some grub from your pick of eateries surrounding this awesome spot. Can't wait to be back in Manhattan for The Bar at Moynihan! @thebarmoynihan

Yelp
Nice spot for a beer before a Rangers game - granted this was a Saturday day game when we stopped by, so not too crowded. This was my first time exploring the dining area of Moynihan. Kind of interesting airport vibe since it's surrounded by fancy fast food spots. It seems they don't offer food, so people were grabbing something from other vendors and eating it at the bar with their drinks. It is a nice they allow that option. The bar tenders were attentive and courteous! Would come again.

Yelp
A much needed and clean space, you almost forget your in the train station. We found a good spot at the main bar and the bartender was really nice, serving us quickly and giving us some pro tips. Prices were fair and place was pretty trendy.

Yelp
Great food and drinks, my only complaint is that AJ should be allowed to wear his iconic hat. The patrons love him and his iconic look. Let him wear the hat and I'd make this 4 star review a 5 star review.
