Absolutely amazing food! We came back twice … ceviche unbelievable taste and value, fig and prosciutto pizza, apple crisp - super yummy. Brown sugar steak tips and braised lamb shank the next time - so wonderful we couldn’t order a pizza to take home as planned. Great place with lots of locals and bartenders that can make drinks not on the menu!

I picked this place since it seemed like a good sit-down restaurant in Oak Bluffs. Honestly, I was expecting bowling alley food because of the bowling alley, but it was quite nice! The servers were kind and one with lots of humor lol. I got the shrimp linguni and it was good, I just prefer my sauce a bit more creamy. Good place for the family.

Server was friendly and attentive. My scallops were outstanding and husband said prime rib was delicious. Fun place for a tasty dinner.

The restaurant just isn’t good. Don’t let the interesting and large menu fool you like it did us. Go bowl, go drink and watch games but the suck service coupled with bowling alley food is not a good combo.

our server Kristina was great. she was very helpful with suggesting entrées and appetizers and made sure that we knew we were getting a bang for our buck. The portions were large and we were able to share everything between the four of us. We even had to take some food home. great atmosphere, and is very family friendly. the bowling alley is right next to the restaurant/bar so if you bring your kids, it’s a great place for them to go play or to bowl with friends.

I still cannot get over the fact that it is a bowling alley. The dining area is beautiful, the wait staff was buzzing the entire evening, and the menu is amazing. Luciano our waiter ran like a madman making sure everyone had what they needed. We had the Braised short rib(awesome), the curry lobster, and the poke tuna. Every dish was hot and fresh. Their appetizers were also excellent, hot, fresh and of generous portions. It is crazy how diverse the menu is, and yet every dish was not just hot and fresh, but delicious.

We got here late and still they made the impossible for us to have the best experience with the Brazilian rodízio. The drinks were awesome. Ogi served us with care and joy making our night one of the best on the island. The music and the vibe were perfect.

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Best food on the island with flavor and great prices. We did not expect food to be on par with high end restaurant but it far exceeds those $$$ restaurants. Compliment to the chef. We had braised short ribs, classic burger, cod, and picanha Brazilian feast. Everything was amazing!! We highly recommend for lunch out dinner. We skipped appetizer because the waiter told us it was a big portion. He was correct, the food are what you'd expect from the mainland. This establishment puts others to shame. This is our go to from now on when we come to Martha's again. Best food restaurant on Martha's by far!!

Good food at a decent price with good atmosphere. President Obama had his birthday celebration there the day before I visited this place! I was a day late!! We share the same birthday.

This place is awesome! I brought my family of four plus my mother for a nice fun family night out. The burgers and other items were great, and the atmosphere was both positive and relaxing. Our server, Ogi, was friendly, attentive, and made us feel like we were welcome and here for a good time. I want to bring my family back for bowling sometime. I also like IPAs, and both of the IPAs they have on tap were great. Can't wait to come back to this place!

Love the take out service! It's always our first stop on travel days! We've always enjoyed the breakfast on the weekends and are surprised at the deliciousness!

This review is specific to BREAKFAST. (Lunch and dinner are good.) Eggs Benedict are served without ham or Canadian bacon and the hollandaise is inedible - straight from a jar and gelid. The "home fries" are boiled potatoes passed over the griddle for seconds and flavorless. Perhaps what was most outrageous is that they charge for butter!! The best part of the meal was the generous fresh fruit bowl, no thanks to the cook. The poached eggs were done to perfection.

Fun spot for bowling in Martha's Vineyard. Our waitress was great and made sure that we were never waiting for our drinks. We didn't have any food so I can't speak to that but we had a great time bowling and the space is clean and nice.

Could have been the biggest, tastiest, mouth watering short rib ever. It was that perfect. Menu was crazy big, probably too much so. All over the place with different cuisines and waiters walking around with Brazilian steakhouse meat trays. The place was fun, odd, quirky but fun. Surprisingly, this bowling alley did have one of the best meals I had on the island. All the 5 star reviews in the last 3 months are accurate. The bang bang cauliflower and steak bites were sooooo good. Our server was also very kind and attentive, almost a premium service especially for a bowling alley restaurant! Location is good for a group of 4-8 people.

The Barn is simply the BEST in Oak Bluffs and really all of Martha's Vineyard! It is absolutely awesome service (especially if you get Auggie or Maria as your server!). The beer is cold and the food is excellent and the price is more than reasonable. The locals go here and the tourists would go here is they knew about it (it is about 3 blocks off the Main Street on Circuit Avenue but they have great parking). They have a terrific breakfast in the weekend. And if you want to go bowling they have that too

I got takeout one day and I got chicken tenders the fries were good but to salty and the chicken tenders were so dry and they didn't taste good so I gave them to my dogs and the guy was on his phone the whole time.

Bowling was fun, expensive but fun! Dinner was Great, I got the Pasta,Lobster & Shrimp very good! Too much for one person so you know the serving was huge. A party of 6 we had a short wait, not bad, eating for food to come out... 30 min, but it was worth the wait ! Wait staff was excellent

Very expensive place for not-so-great experience. The bowling shoes soles were grippy so could not slide very when playing. The air conditioning was sub-par. It was only in one spot of the bowling alley. I was sweating a lot. Other than that, it's not a bad place lol

Perfect spot for a late lunch or early Dinner! Traffic on the island has been pretty busy lately and parking tight but the Barn has a nice spacious lot for vehicles of all sizes. Not only had I heard great things about the food but I walked in and.... BOWLING!!! Your family will love it here! On a budget? They have lunch specials until 4pm! Their regular menu prices are also reasonable. We tried the crispy Calamari and the Chicken lemongrass potstickers. Delicious! The Calamari was perfectly crisp and the menu said it came with banana peppers. They were crispy and fried!!! So good. The chili sauce was a hit too. Potstickers had great taste! Soy dipping sauce was great and not overpowering. Entrees we tried: the grilled chicken sandwich lunch special and the chicken and shrimp famous curry! Ask for combination of meats as there were quite a few options. Both so good! I was offered cheese on my grilled chicken and Bleu cheese was an option!!!!! Dessert- Warm apple crisp to go! Portions were generous and we have food for dinner! We were served this afternoon by the lovely Emerson! Great personality and very friendly. Everyone we encountered was nice and kind and welcoming!

Food is amazing. My friends and I had the brown sugar sirloin tips, the curry, chicken salad, pork schnitzel and it was all amazing! 10/10 flavor and portion size. It's was all worth the price. Cajun chicken, wings, and pork sliders were also really good. Servers were friendly too!

Not sure how we don't have a review for The Barn yet since we have been here on many occasions, most often on Thanksgiving when we go bowling with family. First of all, we love the MV-themed lanes--the whole bowling section actually feels very cozy and well-kept (we've never gone to the restaurant section, which looks a bit more generic). There are good beers on draft and one of us tried the sangria for the first time recently, and it was a bit sweet but tasty. The food is always a solid offering. The kale brussels salad (minus pecans and cranberries) was a nice change of pace from the usual stuff you see on menus, and the mac-n-cheese our daughter got was not from a box. The mozz sticks are crispy, but the batter on the fish-n-chips dish was a bit limp. Overall, though, it's fine. Pricey, but that's the Vineyard for you. Service is also solid, which just feels the overall word to describe this place. It is well-run, clean, friendly, and welcoming. We really like it here and try to go every time we visit. Four grateful stars and we hope that The Barn will become an island keepsake.

You have got to be the rudest manager I have ever dealt with eating cold food that's supposed to be hot is a health hazard you can look it up you'd know that if you or of your staff had any sort of food safety training and also I never received a refund and you know that because I showed you proof.

This is a fun spot in Martha's Vineyard. Brussel sprouts were good but very shaved, a bit more than expected and with tons of bacon but several fatty pieces. Chicken tenders needed a little bit more flavor. Somewhere overcooked. Fries were very good as well as the honey mustard. Person I was dining with really enjoyed the ribs and mashed potatoes. Would return and try something else

After reading other reviews we decided to visit The Barn and I'm so glad we did. I got the steak tips and my wife got the shrimp and lobster pasta, all around the food was delicious. Our 14 month old also LOVED everything (we gave him servings from our own plates). The service was great as well, our server was attentive and friendly. We did not end up bowling but the ambiance all around seemed to be fun and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend! Our best meal so far!

Went bowling this past Saturday afternoon. We were on a guys trip with 14 people. I booked 3 lanes the Wednesday before because the weather Saturday wasn't looking good. I'm so glad I did. It was rainy and cold all day. We did the same 2 years ago and had a great time. The food was great, the beer was cold and the bowling was awesome! They texted me a couple of times to confirm because the liberal nut-jobs on MV decided to protest some idiotic thing or another, which snarled traffic. But it all worked out. A great experience overall! I highly recommend the Barn Bowl and Bistro!!

Such a fun place to go to. Came to MV during the off season and as you may know there's not much to do. On our last day of the trip we decided to stop in to escape the rain. Drinks were great, service was top notch, and the people there were friendly and so much fun. Good thing I reserved before we got there as it was a pretty busy Saturday night and it was $60 for an hour of play. Between 2 people (who are pretty competitive) got 3 games in. So much fun! Highly recommend.

Coldest beer on the island!!! And the food is great too - especially some of their daily specials like the Prime Rib. Maria and Yovanna are excellent servers and make sure they pay attention to every detail. Love this place. And you can always go bowling as well here if you feel like it. Such a fun time! Had no idea this place existed but we will definitely be back. Great vibe, 10 lanes, good food and we got to watch the Olympics as we bowled.'such a great addition to OB!

Barn is a welcoming retor spot for roll-a-ball, family-friendly entertainment with no hidden fees. Lanes are rented by the hour (in our case $60) for up to six bowlers, shoes included. I say this because as anyone with toddlers knows, the concept of time-constrained entertainment is really put to the test, and there's nothing more stressful than trying to get a 7- and 4-year old bowl at a reasonable pace. I was a brutal tyrant and we got a game and a few frames in so, $11pp games + $4 shoes sounds about right. And the scoring tech is state of the art. Still though, damn. Menu is strong - I got ribs with mashed and it was hearty, sweet and tangy. I did get the end cut with those weird mini bones and massive pockets of cartilage that nobody loves, but such as life. It was a meaty meal at typical island prices (like, $140 idk). Actually, between 35-40$. I think. The one thing I must bring to your attention immediate is this: they have Lawson's Sip of Sunshine in a 16oz can for $8. This must be a typo on their menu but you better believe I ate it up. A steal at 1.6x the price, but on the island, grand theft larceny - beer edition. Order up!

The place can hold a lot of people so you can get seated quickly which I like but a lot of food is usually pretty BAD..Crispy chicken wings are very fatty frozen drumettes, bang bang cauliflower is microwaved, apple crisp is nowhere crispy..it's microwaved, chicken broccoli Alfredo is weird dark meat and kinda gross (not chic breast)., teriyaki wings are just wings w teriyaki sauce on the side I could go on n on ....Just get the burger n call it a day If you can't handle the truth Mike. Do something about it. Overall the staff is friendly, food is delivered timely but many things I've ordered over the years are way below average especially considering price paid.

Who knew a bowling alley could have such great food? We were skeptical when we were told how good the food is at Barn Bowl & Bistro, but having been there about a dozen times now, we're convinced. They serve up great dishes with consistency and at a reasonable price for the Island. Most recently I had their Brazilian churrasco bbq...where they come to your table with skewers of meat and slice off what you want. At $34.99, it's an awesome deal for some delicious meats. It comes with three sides: rice, a salsa of sorts, and a third dish which I didn't catch the name of but was quite tasty. Currently, they're talking about offering it on Saturdays - maybe Fridays - so call first. And go support them so they continue to serve it up! Other suggestions...the shrimp and sausage pasta is great as are the pizzas. I haven't had the curry but friends have and thoroughly enjoyed it. Personally, I've had the Bang Bang Cauliflower, SW Chicken Egg Rolls, and the Fried Fishermans Platter - which can serve two. All are good. A lot of folks tout the fried chicken but the night my husband had it, it wasn't well seasoned. And rumor has it there might be better fish and chips elsewhere. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The staff is awesome and they mix great drinks. All in all, it's an establishment we'll continue to enjoy and support. Oh, and the bowling is great too!

We had a great time at The Barn. Jovana took great care of us and Luciano was a great gaucho. We enjoyed the Brazilian Rodizio which is an all you can eat feast of many different meats prepared and sliced at your table the way you want it. We stayed for two hours and ate as much as we could. The meat was great and the staff was fun and welcoming. If you have not been to a Brazilian Steakhouse and enjoyed Rodizio, you must try it. It is an excellent import from Brazilian culture that is sure to catch on and grow and what better place to try it than on an island that has so many Brazilians calling it their new home.

We stayed at the marina and walked to the barn bistro. We had great service we ordered the bourbon pasta, paella, the sausage is so tasty! We got the bbq all you can eat meat Luciano was an excellent energetic server! The burger tuna tartar were outstanding!glad we made the effort.

My family and I had a wonderful time at The Barn Bowl and Bistro last week. We rented a bowling lane (they have a total of 10), ordered drinks and appetizers and played a few games. The lanes are well maintained and all the equipment is ship shape. The ten lanes are divided up under scenic paintings of five MV cities. They also feature several large posters of former US Presidents bowling. After bowling, we got a table to sit down for dinner. We had an attentive and helpful waitress who gave good food and drink recommendations. The food isn't high end or fancy, but it is plentiful and delicious. My picky-eating son swears that The Barn has BY FAR the best pizza on MV, and this was the sixth place he has tried.

Make a reservation for an evening with family or friends! The food is better than average with a large selection of options. The service is generally solid and the owners are very friendly! A fun option on a rainy beach day or any day!

Excellent pizza and very fun atmosphere! Stopped for dinner the other day and I'd highly recommend the Barn Bowl & Bistro. I opted for the pizza, which was great, and the menu has something for everyone. During dinnertime there were families, groups of friends, and couples, everyone seemed to enjoy it. Very friendly and helpful staff too!

We are terrible bowlers but always have a great time bowling at The Barn, even though we are surrounded by people who seem to know what they are doing. They are always encouraging and friendly. We are improving a bit. Sometimes magic happens Reservations are easy. The equipment seems quite good. There are always enough balls to fit each of our needs. We celebrate our "wins" with dinner at the Bistro. The food is very good and relatively affordable.

First time here, but the food was pretty good. Service was good. We had a little problem understanding our waiter. However, he was very nice and accommodating. This is actually a bowling alley with a fairly large barn but the menu was somewhat impressive. I have the temporal cauliflower was excellent. We eat here regularly, and the food is always good. The menu offers many delicious choices. The prices are reasonable and for the Vineyard, it's also possible to get take Out which is nice. The service is prompt . The ambience is ok. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Great food, nice service. Came in for dinner with my family. Everything came out piping hot, quick and most importantly my kids were happy! We had Luciano and another young gentleman both great guys!

We went off season in November and had such a nice time. Great costumer service! All the employees were extremely nice and attentive. My husband and I had an awesome time bowling and enjoyed our meal.
