This place was a massive disappoinment. Room was dirty, bathrobes were dusty and customer service was confusing. I've sent a formal feedback after our visit, but no response from the hotel which isn't very surprising. Location is beautiful, hotel disappointing.

I had great expectations for this hotel. It is indeed beautiful in a spectacular setting. The hotel was constructed in a most artistic manner and that aspect was simply marvelous.|The dinner was mediocre and expensive. The breakfasts were also very disappointing. I am comparing the quality of,food to,the many other meals I have had in Finland which have generally been superb.|Cleaning of the room is poor and the pillows were shockingly uncomfortable.|This is a very expensive hotel and they could make every aspect first class with more investment in running the property. |The rooms are tiny but that is the construction of the property.|I enjoyed all the excellent sightseeing which was available in the area of the hotel.

We came as a couple for a romantic weekend, and the stay couldn't have been any better. The rooms are beautiful, but it's the view from the giant windows that takes the prize.||All in all, this is quite likely the best hotel in Finland. The restaurant is also one of the best fine dining experiences we've had.

Our stay was very good and the place is obviously stunning and well built. Restaurant service was amazing, but the receptionist could be more helpful with carrying bags for ladies… Food was good, pretty and tastefull but more vegetarian options needed. Our AC nor room ipad did not work at all which made the room a bit uncomfortable comparing to the price it was. Balmuir sheets, towels and robes need desperately renewing! Massage was extremely good but did not match the feeling/athmosphere of the place. Breakfast was good but with a small range of foods, I can see they have focused on quality not quantity but egg scramble/omelet would be nice at least. With a little attention to details this could be the greatest place🙏🏼

Very idyllic place only one hour drive from Helsinki. Both the food and service were excellent. A strong recommendation for anyone who wants to experience the Finnish nature.

The Barö blends very nicely with its surroundings and offers a good opportunity to relax and enjoy some quiet time. The hotel is built on a small hill overlooking the Barösund strait. The basic rooms have a view of the hillside, the better rooms directly face the strait. It's a small exclusive hotel with very friendly staff. Be aware that the hotel not staffed at night. You can reserve a private sauna and jacuzzi at an extra charge, or take the morning communal sauna. A masseur can be booked, subject to availability. The exterior and interior is mostly black and dark accents with indirect lighting and spot lights. The window of the room is essentially a glass wall, which makes it feel like you are almost sleeping outdoors. And don't worry about light at night - the blackout curtains are very effective. A stocked mini bar is available, at typical marked up prices. We found our stay very relaxing, but the A/C unit in the room did bother us a bit. It's a cheap on/off unit rather than a modern inverter unit. As a result, it kept switching on and off during the night, accompanied by a fair amount of noise. Overall a very nice hotel, but is it worth the steep price?

Barö hotel room was what i expected from pictures. (Barölundet room with dog) |Only thing which was not good was AC didint work correctly. It went ON and OFF all the time. Also visiting with dog was okey but definately dog rooms need more colder fridge for dog foods.|Other than that, everything went well and room was ok

A lovely stay at this hotel. Set in beautiful Finnish forest by the sea. The rooms were lovely. No extra space but just enough. The big windows with the view were stunning. Some rooms seem to have a sea view and some look like they don’t. Breakfast was nice and fresh and the set dinner menu was great and changed the two nights we were there. Staff very friendly.
