This charming little bakery is the best of the best and could go to toe-to-toe with any of the best bakeries in the country. I have many a sweet tooth in my family but it’s rare for me to find something that excites me. That all changed with the first bite of one of Batch’s cookies. How are these everything I’ve ever dreamed of in a cookie? The texture, the icing to cookie ratio, the ingredients! Chocolate puddle, Oreo truffle, Nutella, biscoff, sugar, it.does.not.matter. They are all phenomenal and to me better than some of the more renowned cookies in New York City - yes, better than Levain. I said it!
I also love the cinnamon rolls, the cheddar biscuits, the pop tarts. And my absolute favorite thing to eat at Batch - and one of my favorite things to eat period - is the cheesecake. Any kind. Best I’ve ever had, hands down.
My son lives for the brownies. Our household subscribes to a monthly box of them and we enjoy getting to try different varieties each month. And we love the events like storytime. My favorite was Harry Potter Trivia night - see picture of some of the goodies!
But the best part about Batch is the people. The owner, Cris, will often be seen out talking to the customers. Her staff is so friendly and warm. And they have a little library in the bakery which I adore - I often borrow and return many books I’ve read from their great selection.
The bakery is also spotless with cute, inviting decor and places to sit inside and out.
I’ll wrap this up to say that if you haven’t visited Batch, what are you waiting for, Charlotteans? I’ve ordered my first pies from there for Thanksgiving and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into them and share them with family! ❤️
