This place was just awesome! The atmosphere is great… the service was super friendly AND super fast (our party of 9 couldn’t believe how fast they got our food out!), and maybe most importantly, the quality of the food was OUTSTANDING and super authentic! Amazing portion sizes too (and a soft pretzel that was to die for also!). For that matter, we really enjoyed the house beers that they had on-tap too! If you’re looking for a warm, festive environment and some seriously comforting German comfort food, you’ve gotta give The Bavarian Bierhaus a try! Prost! 😃🍻🥨🌭😋

Really cool and authentic decor - love the Friday and Saturday night live music! Love the wide open hall with bench seating and lots of TVs and big bar. Food was okay- would go back to try some of the more authentic items but the brats and Reuben were just okay. Pretzel is good and would get it again with the bier cheese but not as buttery as I usually like. Family friendly and convenient location!

Google
We had our wedding here and it was, amazing. Kirk and the entire staff made it the best day and exceeded our expectations. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing food, cozy atmosphere, and an unforgettable time.

Google
A+ for the beer garden esthetic! Don't know if they have outdoor seating or not for warmer weather. The pretzel was great. I didn't care for the cheese spread. Schnitzel was good, maybe a tad overcooked. Spaetzel was also good. Would probably be a blast here with German music, a big group, or during Oktoberfest.

Google
Very authentic German experience. Super kid friendly and accommodates large parties very well. Nice staff who are helpful and thorough. My favorite event they do is Tuba Christmas! We go often on weekends when they have a senior discount for my parents.

Google
Great beers on tap. Hefe weizen, dunkel. And many more. Fair prices. Onion soup was very good, sauerkraut balls were ok. The sweet stone mustard was really good. Waitress and other staff were very friendly and helpful with all questions. Bathrooms were clean with German music piped in. Really cool German hall with live music as well. The sauerkraut and red cabbage were both phenomenal. Beef rouladen was good, spaetzel were good as well. Can't wait to go back!

The Bavarian Bierhaus is a family-friendly, authentic Bavarian beer hall with an impressive amount of space! The main beer hall seats up to 400 guests, while the fest hall can accommodate up to 1,800. There are multiple seating areas both indoors and outdoors, making it a great spot for gatherings. A quick note about our experience: I made a reservation through OpenTable for a Tuesday evening for six people. When we pulled into the parking lot, the massive digital sign out front said, "Closed on Tuesdays." I about had a heart attack- but then the sign changed to "Now open Tuesday-Sunday." Not confusing at all... but at least they were actually open! As for the food, it was just okay--nothing to write home about and not the best German food I've had. We ordered the pretzel, meat and cheese tray, pierogi with smoked sausage, and the goulash with spätzle. None of us ordered dessert afterwards. Overall, the Bavarian Bierhaus offers a fantastic space with plenty of seating, but the food was just okay. It's worth a visit for the atmosphere and beer!

Google
A go-to favorite in Milwaukee! Incredible Bavarian atmosphere and a fun evening of live polka. I have come back on more than one occasion for the pork schnitzels, and the King Ludwig pretzel is always a hit. Side note: The Oktoberfest celebration is an absolute blast.

Yelp
Finally getting around to reviewing a place I've been to a number of times. It's very close to where I live. Overall, you can get some tasty German food and good beer here. Be forewarned that the open beer hall area can get quite loud. It's sort of the point, I suspect, being so open with the long tables, big televisions, and bar. But when it's really hopping, it's hard to hold a conversation with a group of any reasonable size. Is there better German food in Milwaukee? Certainly...but it's really pretty tasty and you get good portions (for those of us happy to take home leftovers). Their beers are nothing amazing, as compared to so many excellent breweries in Milwaukee, but there's nothing bad about them either. Just dependable. All in all, a solid place. Definitely a good choice for a post-work happy hour too.

Yelp
We frequent the Bavs Beirhaus, and most often I love the experience. They are so darn family-friendly and it's clearly appreciated by many - come here at 5pm on a Friday and it's basically family hour. Such a big beer hall, with the largest of tables, tons to eat on their menu, and most often, live music. We loved the latest duo who played accordion and a few other little instruments. They even invited kiddos on stage to play with other instruments they brought - so fun. The server was really sweet, and everyone was very attentive. Good brews too, per usual. The bummer this time around was the food for me. I ordered the baked cod and it didn't live up to $21 expectation in the least. Sadly, it lacked flavor, was kind of tough, and not at all hot. I found myself smothering it in lemon and tartar to make up for it, but in the end, I couldn't finish it. The other bummer was the kids mac n cheese. In the past, it's been a great portion of great quality, but on recent visits it's appeared to be the Kraft kind out of the box. Always hope to have a little something extra when dining out, vs what we can just get at home. We're always look forward to coming here with friends and family (!!), but the food can be a little hit or miss.

Yelp
Bavarian Bierhaus is a big rambling place near Bayshore that's done a great job recreating a proper Bierhall and making it accessible to a lot of different groups. The Bavarian Soccer Club makes this their home base, several cultural groups meet & have events here and they host the city's best Oktoberfest in their enormous and well equipped Biergarten (now open all summer). In addition to all this, there's a large restaurant/bar that has festhälle communal seating, several private rooms for parties and a big bar. Food is pretty good honestly - you get giant serving sizes so plan to take home leftovers. Staff is good too - even when the place is slammed they work hard to take care of you. Expect live music on weekend The Mister is pretty involved in the German community so I'm here regularly - it's a nice place with nice people and always a good time!

Ben T.

Yelp
Very friendly and inviting environment. The food was great but my favorite was the pretzel coated cheese curds. It was simply finger liking good. I would pass on the salad next time. It was just arugula and tomatoes. I'll get extra cheese curds if I could.

Dewayne E.

Yelp
8/12024 Ok Bavarian Bierhaus! Ya'll got a good fish fry!!! First time visiting and glad I finally did. It was a bit noisy, but they did have live music. I would like to visit again soon. Our server was good also. Got seated right away by a very friendly hostess.

Marian Q.

Yelp
I have been twice and both times I was impressed by the service and the ambiance! The food wasn't bad either and I couldn't believe I hadn't been to the Bierhaus sooner, especially since I live nearby! There is plenty of room for large parties and although I haven't gotten a chance to bring my kids, it seems like it would be a great place for the kiddos to come along. The beers are aplenty and the German fare is abundant. Get a giant pretzel for your table and you can never go wrong with a burger!

John F.

Yelp
So glad I finally got to eat here! This was my third try and it finally worked out. (One time was during Octoberfest and the other was when there was a soccer tourny, and it was impossible to park... much less get in the doors). This time it wasn't that busy and we got got a nice seat on one of the large picnic tables in the beer hall. Our waitress was decked out in a traditional German outfit. Wasn't very much in the personality department, but she did a good job taking care of us. Not a big beer drinker, but I figured I better have a mug to fit in! Check... had my beer, and I honestly couldn't tell you if it was good or bad.... But I enjoyed having a mug in a beer hall! The best part of our meal was the Bavarian baked onion soup. It was very good! My wife had the sandwich with chicken schnitzel and ham... that too was very good and I would highly recommend both. My Jagerschnitzel was above average, could have had more gravy. But the spatzel that came with it was tasty. I loved the live German band that serenaded us during our meal. It was a three person band that played all the oompah-pah music you would expect in a German restaurant. Had a lot of fun, food was good and so was the entertainment. Worth stopping in.

Yelp
This has been a long time book and new restaurant of the week today. First off this isn't just a restaurant it's a complex with a huge open restaurant and bar with a 2nd dining room in back and a 3rd bar and dining in back, soccer field, patio, back building with an open October fest area with plenty of tables. Seating is family style with long open booths. The bar is huge with plenty of seating. I took the table with the window seat over looking the parking and the sports field. I started with a Bloody Mary which was pretty sparse topping with a pickle cube, olive and short meat/cheese stick. The Bloody was good and a little spicy. I ordered the build your own schnitzel = pork schnitzel, jager mushroom gravy with buttered spatzel. Service was a little slow but I'm not complaining because hundreds of people were in this huge space during a packers game. My food came quicker than I expected and it looked great. The spatzel was good but bland so I added some salt for seasoning and it was good. The mushroom gravy was bland also with no real rich flavor topped with mushrooms. The pork schnitzel was cooked to order with a very crispy crust and a nice pork flavor but bland also was the theme so I seasoned with salt and it was good after it was seasoned. Overall I had a great German style lunch in a nice atmosphere especially when you think about how many German restaurants have disappeared in the us over the last few decades and I can only think of two left in Milwaukee area.

Paul S.

Yelp
Get someone to answer the phone for the love of god. Get one of the seventeen year olds standing at the hostess desks texting their friends to pick up.

Bruce B.

Yelp
Food was good and we were served quickly! The benches were a little close to the tables which made it uncomfortable and a tight fit so if you are a large person it is very tight! choose your table wisely.. food was good!

Sean O.

Yelp
Went to the Oktoberfest and got the Doner Kebab. I've had plenty of doner kebab in Germany and can never find anything in the states that tastes the same so I was excited this might be it. It was terrible. Dry and taste like it is seasoned with cumin. Literally threw it away. Can't speak to the rest of their food but the doner is not good at all. Drove 30 mins each way hoping it would be authentic or at least close. Wasted my time and money, again

Julie B.

Yelp
Great food and beers. We go there when we visit my son at Marquette University. We hope to celebrate his graduation dinner in a couple of weeks.

Mimi K.

Yelp
Was truly disappointed that this so called German Bavarian restaurant would consider rouladen a ground meat dish with a slice of beef wrapped around it . Should really be listed as a meatloaf .

Zach H.

Yelp
Went to the Bavarian Bierhaus to celebrate a wedding. The opening seating in the bierhaus is very cool, giving it a family feel. The service was great throughout, constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything, We order the cheese curds and Bavarian pretzel and they didn't disappoint. A very good spot for sure.

Catherine G.

Yelp
Fun place with great atmosphere. Had the Kassler Rippchen (smoked pork chops) Very good.

Not S.

Yelp
What a disappointment! First of all, make sure that they will serve you when you make a reservation. We made a reservation only to be told once we were there that the menu will not be available, and a brunch buffet is the only thing available. When I asked to talk to the manager, I was told the manager is too busy to talk, and can call me the following day. Some service... Now to this "brunch buffet". It consisted of 6 - 7 standard breakfast items like bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes. Really, nothing German about it; Basic breakfast stuff you can get anywhere else at breakfast time for $8. Except here, it was $35. There was also a fish of some sort which was borderline too dry to eat, and a dessert, which had flies all over it. Beer was ok, but it tasted like standard Leinenkugels. Overall, a miserable experience. I recommend you go anywhere else but here; plenty of other restaurants in the area that will treat you like a customer, and not bait and switch your reservation on mother's day.

Tony C.

Yelp
Oktoberfest was good except for the Bienenstich which tasted like your mouth does after you've had dental work done. No wonder they give so much whipped cream.

Chris M.

Yelp
Yes! We were there. The food was sooooooo plentiful had to take half of it home and that looked like another order!. The festival was not as we thought it to be. Cover charge to walk pass EMPTY Halls with no people and three outdoor walkups for food. Sm hotdog size paper basket used for two little pc of fish, a katchup size For dipping container filled with a tablespoon i Of coleslaw, and of course a few cold dry fries.....Why did I Pork Schnitzel discribe all that...you may ask..well..$19.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nope never again. Inside service was great! Food flavor was the best!.So go for lunch or dinner but not a German October fest.

Joe C.

Yelp
It's this huge beer hall, but on a Saturday night, they were closing up by 9am. This place should be packed till 1am with a live German band. I thought my hef was tasty, as well as the schnitzel chicken sandwich, but the potato pancake was tough and rubbery. The female bartender was friendly.

Julie H.

Yelp
We just had the worst Easter buffet. Server was hard to find. Ran out of desserts. Coffee was cold and old. Then all 13 of us were all at a long table which was extremely difficult when someone wanted to get up and go get more food. Going to a German place, I assumed they would have some German dishes! Then to add 18% tip! I wouldn't have cared if it was worth it. Our bill for 2 people was $109.15. I paid 109 cash and server wanted the extra .15cents. This was my first time here and traveled 30 min to get there. What a huge disappointment!

Linda B.

Yelp
When you're craving a German pretzel and beer cheese, this is my go to! Bonus was it was Thursday buy one get one rack of ribs. Oh mylanta! This is not for the faint of heart. What a deal of enormous tender deliciousness. The German potato salad can be heated up if you like it that way. And that's just how I got it. The beer cheese soup was the perfect accompaniment to the pretzel which was A large size. There was a smaller and a jumbo which you would need a few extra people for. Coffee was freshly brewed in a nice large mug to keep it warm on a cool fall evening. Service was friendly with a smile and prompt. Love the teamwork at this place.

Amy C.

Yelp
Ambiance is amazing inside and out. The servers and hostess were very friendly. The beer was VERY tasty. The food was good/average and the portion sizes were average. The pork schnitzel was thin, made with Panko and a little tough. The ruben rolls didn't have much flavor. My husband enjoyed the sausages. We are coming back for the beer garden & music!!

Warren D.

Yelp
We wanted to take our Moms out for Mother's Day, but due to schedules, the traditional Mothers Day Brunch was not an option. I also didn't want to go somewhere that I couldn't make a reservation and have to wait an hour to get a table. Luckily Bavarian Bierhaus is on OpenTable and we were able to secure a large table to also include another family member and her kids to celebrate her birthday. But in hindsight, Bavarian really should not have allowed me to make a reservation as they were just not staffed sufficiently for the day and the meal took a very long time, it took almost 20 minutes from ordering the drinks to their delivery and then another 20 minutes for straws as they were out of cups with lids for the kids. The saving grace was that we weren't in a hurry and the food--when it finally arrived, was very good. I went slightly out of my comfort zone and got the pretzel sandwich (I'm the only one that eats salami at home, so I rarely have it). It was very good, though the pretzel should be made a bit wider to work appropriately as a sandwich.

Carie F.

Yelp
a must go for Oktoberfest!! this place has a giant outdoor area that you can best describe as it's own little fairgrounds. fri & Saturdays in September are filled with good beer, German food, live music, and patrons dressed in German gear. on Saturday nights especially, highly recommend purchasing a table if you want to sit down because spots fill up fast.

Billy W.

Yelp
Awesome place. Great food and cool environment. Reminded me so much of being in Munich!

Marie U.

Yelp
Really nice inside with plenty of seating, a little slower with service, and the food was good.

Landry A.

Yelp
Took 30 minutes to get a lemonade. The waiter had to have kids ask parents for something after the parents said it was okay. Skipped over my mom when she asked to order multiple to get his attention and order. Ice cream sandwich gave me food poisoning throwing up for 20 minutes at a McDonald's in Brookfield. When my friend tried to order took half her order then walked away. Also tables way too big if you had a group of five they would seat another group at the same table. And seating was so uncomfortable. Not a good place would not recommend. DO NOT GO!

Kristin Y.

Yelp
Came her with my husband and toddler. They had live polka music going (apparently every Friday and Saturday starting around 6pm). My toddler was really into the music, so cute! Our beers were good, they have a decent kids menu, hubs got the prime rib which he really liked, and I got the doner kebab (sort of like a gyro, but with cabbage and a slightly different meat). I thought my meal was alright, but I've also never had doner kebab before so I was trying something new! Lots of different food that we want to try on the menu, kid friendly, and nice servers. We will be back!

The I.

Yelp
Tables were uncomfortably Long. Get stuck in the middle you best wear depends son..... Beer was great. Food was not bad. A sausage combo that was good. Substituted spatzle as a side (which I love) but unfortunately it came out lacking in all things spatzle.... Venue was cool, food was meh, beer was not bad. Cut the tables in half. I don't like yelling at the staff to place an order...

Lori L.

Yelp
Shame on me for finally getting here for the first time on Valentine's Day for a family member's 80th birthday. This place is HUGE - not Munich Oktoberfest HUGE but that isn't a fair comparison either. Speaking of Germany think shared benches, amazing liters of hand-crafted beer and large portions of German/Polish food. I was excited to see Frickendall on the menu which is a German and also a Dutch treat! I highly recommend the Friday fish fry because you can get spaetzle, potato pancakes or fries. We opted for the skate wing "schnitzel" ($20) which was a lightly floured piece of skate pan seared to perfection surrounded by just the right amount of capers. This deliciousness was put on top a bed of salted and buttered spaetzle. Why cod when you can skate? We had a group of 9 people and almost every person had a different entree so it was great to see the mix of items. Perogies were served with the obligatory sausage with rave reviews. The three piece traditional fish fry ($16) also was served hot and flaky with a very light batter. Only critique was the style of the potato pancake. It was more of seasoned mashed potatoes served up vs. a shredded cake. Probably more of a preference issue. Walleye dinner = solid plus the mashed potatoes with gravy looked like little hills - bonus! Two people opted for the "large" beer not realizing that was a liter serving in a proper German beer glass. We also were treated to a "little" dessert for each person for the birthday celebration. It was a twist on a black forest cake with more of a molten center - yummy! Did I mention there is a duo that plays polka music during your dining experience? It can get a little louder upfront so if possible sit to the back. They serenaded the birthday boy for his 80th birthday and really made this such a special occasion for him. I know there is another place in town that has a similar vibe - not mentioning the name. Bavarian Bierhaus has better food, is quieter, lacks children polkaing on your face, and you don't need to wait forever for a seat. I saw earlier reviews complaining about pricing so beware it is probably a buck or two more than comparable places but I felt that the service and food quality was worth every penny. Where else can you feel like you are in Germany without the 8+ hour plane ride?

Richard K.

Yelp
Have not been here for a number of years. It did not disappoint. We, my in-town family and me, went there for my birthday dinner. I had the Helles Bier and it did not disappoint. I like a full-bodied beer but am not a fan of the really dark stuff. This hit the spot and I had 2 half liters. This was followed by the trio-wurst platter about two-thirds of which I took home. Topped it all of with a slice of Schwartzwalde Kirschtorte that was absolutely fantastic. I'll, hopefully, not wait another year before returning. By the way, all of the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful.

Deb D.

Yelp
Tried out Bavarian Bierhaus for early dinner on NYE. Had reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival. The place was a blast with live music in two rooms. We toasted the new year at 5 PM with Munich. Had a fun time watching the bunch sing many of their traditional German songs. The food was good and the wait staff was very friendly. Look forward to coming back again to try out some more great food!

Linda B.

Yelp
Went early on Friday evening. Hostesses and waitress were all great, very friendly and provided good service. Unfortunately the food was not good. One of us ordered a fish fry and another ordered the reuben rolls. The food came out about 5 minutes after we ordered, so it was obviously pre-prepared. The fish fry was not at all hot, the rye bread was thick and dry. But most disappointing was the reuben rolls! They were also not hot, were filled with mostly sauerkraut with a gross creamy sauce and very little corned beef, and a doughy (not crisp) crust. I could only eat a half of 1 of the 3. We were compensated with a free piece of key lime pie that was amazing - the best part of our meal. It's unfortunate because it is such a an awesome atmosphere and great staff, but the food left much to be desired.

Cindy B.

Yelp
First let me say that we were excited to find a place where my husband (beer drinker, fried fish eater) and me (non-drinker, vegetarian) could eat together. Usually I have to get a salad but they had a vegetarian menu so I was thrilled. Ok now the reality of the experience...sadly we were both very disappointed. My husband chose the fried walleye with French fries, he couldn't even cut through the walleye, it was dry and barely warm. Definitely left over from lunchtime and his fries were cold, the tarter sauce had a dried film on top like it was also old, the coleslaw was flavorless- But his beer was good:) I chose the hummus wrap, I'm always careful about what I order because although I'm vegetarian I don't like mushrooms at all! I read the ingredients and it sounded yummy, wrong. I noticed right before my first bite what looked like a mushroom so I unwrapped my wrap and there were a bunch of huge mushrooms in the center, I would have been very unhappy if I would have taken a bite! I'm always embarrassed to have to pick apart my food but I couldn't eat it the way it was. The wrap didn't match the description at all and was very bland, kinda tasteless:( for my side I chose the cucumber salad, it was slices of cucumbers in a watery liquid, also bland With the cost of our meals we were extremely disappointed. Only 2 good things, the beer and the waiter. We do not recommend this restaurant at all. So sad

Nell B.

Yelp
Everything about this place is incredible - from the decor, to the waitstaff, to the food, and not least importantly THE BEER! I have been to their Oktoberfest out in the back area and it's the best one around. Recently I dined inside and was shocked - this place is HUGE! The servers all wear dirndls/lederhosen that are provided by the restaurant. I have never had anything but incredible service, inside and out! The events committee are incredible at setting up great live music, facilitating delicious and authentic food options, and curating a beautiful venue. Whether it's a stop in the restaurant or attending a live event outside - you do NOT want to skip on this one!

Jacy B.

Yelp
I'd you like German food this is your place to go! Friendly service and staff! The food was good! We had the hot ham and cheese meal with a pretzel and it was great! Huge place with lots of room!

Viv P.

Yelp
Came back for Schnitzels a few times since the first time. Yes, the Schnitzels are definitely better than the ribeye or fish fries. But they are $20. The food itself really is not worth that much. But go for the vibe. Live music, German outfits, fun with friends, great beer. And their beer is great. They also give you free 1/2 liters of beer, per person, not per table. But you'd have to know it and ask for it.

Michael S.

Yelp
The atmosphere was very good. The patio area was nice and there was a great selection of biers. Negatives: the food was bland. We had a sausage plate, red cabbage, pretzel and sparsely. These were 2 star for flavor and quality. Our server was very good and the food prep/wait time was very fast.

Jason R.

Yelp
We were highly disappointed. - Children running around, parents not caring but drinking, staff saying nothing. You could tell they wanted too though because the brats kept running into them as they were delivering food or clearing dishes. - The Obatzda was runny. It should be a whipped cream cheese consistency. Gross. - My dish came cold. I asked for another warm entree. It came back microwaved, hot in the middle only. I sent it back again. I won't accept that for a $20+ entree. I haven't been to other german restaurants in Milwaukee, but I can assure you there must be places better than this. Please seek them out.

Faith S.

Yelp
Great Goulash! Nice flight of beer for tasting! Apple strudel was excellent! Spaetzl noodles were just ok. Friendly waitstaff! German bierhaus ambiance and there was an excellent accordionist/singer who featured Bavarian favorites.

Raquelle S.

Yelp
Come for the drinks, stay for the drinks. Service was great, it saved the review. If it was categorized: service 5 stars, drinks 4 stars, food 0-1 star. Seating is H.A.R.D! they definitely don't want you dawdiling. Food was mostly reheated frozen food. Their oil wasn't hot enough, so pierogies and fries were saturated, undercooked, and not good. Cakes had to be frozen as dry and tasteless as they were. The pork hock roasted on the bone was good but barely any gravy for the very dry dumpling. Go for the drinks, and expect nothing from the food.

Cheryl P.

Yelp
The waiter took a coffee order for one half of table and after he brings coffee to three men at table, asks me if I want anything to drink. I asked if coffee and tea were included in the price and he said, "No". Our waiter refilled the coffee once in 80 minutes. We were the third table seated and we were up next to polka band. Most of the tables were empty 90 minutes later and we were seated closest. How were we to have a nice family conversation? No spoon for the gravy for roast beef. No spoon for rice. Heavy Amy of onions were sprinkled on top of bier cheese soup; could you not have had a bowl of onions for people to add quantity they want? No tongs for desserts (guests should not use hands to grab food). No small plates for desserts. Without exaggeration, we piled our own plates and the waiter never took notice -at least three piles of 4-6 plates and we kept looking for waiter and he is waking around smiling. Waiter should be checking at least every 15 minutes....other employees helped clear table. Buffett staff would refill top of serving platters and it was the bottom of each container that was receiving heat (food was cold) As we got up for dessert, bier cheese soup was filled and no onions covering the top. Waiter is not in sight and we have been ready for 20 minutes for check. I finally went to hostess stand and asked how we pay for our meal. I had heard good things about the regular meal but as a buffet, it was easy to see why that dining room was at less than 50% capacity on a holiday.

Olivia T.

Yelp
Awesome environment! Long tables so you sit right next to people. But definitely feels like a German beer hall and awesome food!

Karley C.

Yelp
This is a kitschy slice of Bayern! We have been meaning to stop by here for a while on our drive from Indy to Northern Wisconsin, and we finally did it--and it was happy hour! We had two giant half pints of beer for $3.50 each (sehr billig). The staff was friendly and we enjoyed sitting outside on the patio watching the regular mug club come in. You can tell there is some solid community here. We also loved being able to take a look through their Oktoberfest grounds and are excited to come back when it is in full swing (with COVID precautions, of course). I also need to go back because I have my eyes on that gigantic pretzel. I'll be sure to add the last star after I am able to confirm the pretzel is a Wunderbar as it looks.

This place is so fun looking. I haven't been to a Bierhaus. The onion soup was good but not amazing. It wasn't super intense which is a good thing but also didn't stand out. The schnitzel with Black Forest was ok but I was expecting a sauce. It wasn't bad food just not amazing. I have had amazing German food.

Yelp
Slow steady decline over the last 3 years. Besides Octoberfest there is not much to write about. Their beer is always Great, service is always slow. No one seems to be in charge? They give you menu and then list off everything that is no longer on menu. Wings are no longer available etc. Fun stein club. Sadly ownership and management don't seem to care about quality and taking care of their guests. Lots of better places to go for German food.

Yelp
Get good bratwurst and wiener schnitzel here. Good sauerkraut and red cabbage. I love the sweet mustard that is served with soft pretzels. The Baked Bavarian Onion Soup is excellent. I have visited twice and both times were good.

Yelp
Went here for their fish fry and I wasn't disappointed. I chose the battered cod and potato cake. We added in a brat and sauerkraut to try them out too. Loved it all. The live music and atmosphere really pulled it all together and made it a nice evening out.
