This was my first apartment. I moved in after touring a model unit but got a smaller, different one. Management changed a few months in and started closing previously 24-hour amenities at 10 PM, adding ID requirements for things like pool equipment. I eventually transferred to the unit I originally toured, but had to pay a new deposit, a repeat key fob fee, and was told I’d be charged if I kept the model’s accent wall. My base rent was $1,455, but I was charged over $2,000/month with unexplained fees. I didn’t even own a car but was still charged for parking. I always paid rent early and utilities separately. Maintenance was great, but pest control rarely showed despite being in the lease. Some amenities never worked (like the golf simulator), and now I’m being charged $21K after breaking my lease. Nice complex, but be cautious—get everything in writing.
