The rooms were fine but the food at the restaurant was outstanding...both dinner and breakfast ! Really great place to stop, eat, stay. In lovely location too, we did the walk round the mountain and it was just great. Highly recommend.

The Bay Tree is an institution in Carlingford for great food. Recently they began music sessions in the garden and on a recent Sunday afternoon visit @Heavenlymydear was singing our favourite, moody, classics. It was a memorable aftrnoon. ps the good was terrific too.

Living in Carlingford and eating in this wonderful restaurant quite a bit, I never thought to leave a review. After another stunning meal, with the warmest, nicest staff and beautiful dining room, I feel the need. This is a super restaurant and the food is truly excellent. It is well priced, it is friendly and it is worth coming to Carlingford just to eat here.

Restaurant Review: supposedly a Michelin star restaurant but they definitely did not meet expectation. I’m not quite sure how they get their Michelin rating with the quality of food? Maybe they had changed their chef? I’m not very sure. The pork belly was bland and mussels tasted sad. Cod was so so. Everything was average. Price was reasonable for all the food that we ordered. Their service was good hence the 3 stars.
