Food looked amazing and tasted how it looked. I don’t know why this place isn’t more highly rated but it should be. If you have a problem with your wait order online and it is ready to go once you get there.

I bought the catfish plate and it was so good! Im from out of state but this dish brought back so many happy memories it felt like I was back home. Staff was kind and patient. Its a small space but I was able to sit and eat my meal inside with out any issues. The wait is worth it! Your food is made to order so it comes to you hot and fresh. I will definitely be eating here again.

I give it 5 stars because my family loved their food and stated it was seasoned very well!!! I went with the half rack of lamb chops knowing I don't care for the musty smell of lamb chops (I've just accept that lamb chops is an acquired taste that I will never have) so I won't state that they weren't good because the lady eating next to us was KILLING HER LAMB CHOPS 🤣 We waited a little over an hour (that's from placing the order to receiving our food). The staff was very friendly and upbeat even though their A/C is clearly broken. The thermostat was set on 72 but reading 84 and went up to 85 by the time we left. Since we live 45 minutes away, I don't see myself going out the way to come back. However, my teens are stating they can't wait to use their allowances to order from here and have it delivered via doordash! To the owners, keep up the good work as far as quality of staff and for extremely large portion sizes even in an economy where everything is increasing and quantity is decreasing 👏👏

This place if amazing! Service is good and food is 10/10 hands down!! This one of those plates where if you put it in the fridge and someone eat it yall have to fight !!!!! Baby they season them lamb chops like somebody life was on the line!!! The creole pasta 10/10 amazingly creamy and flavorful!!! The Mac & cheese is different from back home in NC but still 10/10!!! Everything was absolutely delicious! We certainly will be back. I appreciate the cleanliness of the establishment as well. Just makes the guest experience even more enjoyable. To the owner and chef we absolutely appreciate the love you put into this food I wish your company much success and prosperity!!!!

I wanted to like the food so bad since it was my first time visiting and the presentation was so well put together, but I was unfortunately disappointed. I went for restaurant week and got the Bayou shrimp burger with 4 wings, fried pound cake, and Bayou eggroll. For $38.50, I was highly upset that half of my food was inedible. The burger patty was tough dry and overcooked, the shrimp on the burger were so heavily salted, and the bottom bun felt stale. Fried pound cake was like a sponge that soaked up all of the oil, and soon as I bit into it my taste buds were engulfed in oil. The wings were ok, fried hard like I like them, but tossed way too heavily in the sauce. Maybe I should have chosen a different sauce. The only things that were pleasant to eat on the plate was the the fries that came with the burger, and the bayou eggroll (a seafood eggroll) that was seasoned well and very flavorful.

This restaurant gets a 10 out of 10 hands-down the food is amazing. Today I tried the lamb chops for the first time. I am in love the loaded potato and the mac & cheese spot on delicious. The customer service wonderful they’re very nice and polite and check on their customers they make you feel comfortable. So if you’re looking for Good Louisiana Creole dishes stop by. It is very good. I recommend it. I love it.❤️ My first visit I had the shrimp burger and fries so I’m posting a picture of that as well. The food is amazing.❤️❤️

The customer service was 10 out of 10. The food was 10 out of 10. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and the fried catfish with mac & cheese and fries. Everything was so hot to the point I had to bring the spit from the back of my mouth up exactly how I love my food, hot and ready. I would recommend anyone to stop through if you’re looking for some good egg rolls and great catfish with excellent customer service. The best part about it is they have a drive-through, but I decided to sit in which I don’t regret the place. Was very clean And it was such a vibe because they were playing all the R&B hits Don’t walk run!!! yes, I will be back

The wings tasted grilled and had amazing flavor. Best garlic parmesan wings I've ever had. The Mac and cheese were the creamiest ever as well. I can't say enough good things about the loaded mashed potatoes and of course the fried fish was on point. The shrimp also tasted grilled and were truly plump and delicious. The only thing lacking was not having a dessert menu. Amazing place surprised this is the first I have heard of it considering it is almost a year old.

Employees not exactly present. It felt like I interrupted a Pow Wow in the back.Food is just "ok". The fries were definitely frozen. Nice enough staff. Very expensive. Won't be back.

Visited on a Sunday. Very friendly staff! The two young ladies at the counter were friendly and personable. The food was delicious. Try the mango lemonade! Very small dining area. So-be prepared to take your meal to go.

The girls at the front were incredibly helpful and sweet! They made a few recommendations and they were good! Food took a while to come out but was really tasty when it arrived! The Bayou Eggrolls were delicious! The shrimp platter was tasty without any additional sauce (although a bit salty) but next time we may ask for some cocktail sauce? The restaurant only has 3 tables for 4, so it seems most took their food to go. Overall we would go again and will likely make it a regular in our rotation! Asparagus was spectacular and our favorite part of the meal!

Came in for restaurant week to give this place a try. Got there during the lunch rush and waited 45 min for our order, so definitely phone your order in if it's during the lunch rush. The place is small with only about 4 tables so we took ours to go. The food was pretty great. We had the crawfish pasta with lamb chops. The chops were pretty good but the sweet sauce made them much better. The pasta was a hit. It came with standard boudin balls and the fried pound cake dessert was a great finish. This was plenty of food for two people. It's a bit out of the way but worth a trip.

Wednesday Special. Seafood Potato and Mango Habanero wings. The food was delicious and the service was great. The ambiance is a good place and clean.

The shrimp platter was great. The Philly egg rolls & fried catfish were amazing. The pasta was really good but it needed a little salt. The wings were also good and made up for the lack of salt, but the bigger the wing the longer it takes to cook. The biggest wing in my batch was raw when I bit into it. The restaurant also had really good service and a nice dining area if you wanted to sit inside.

This place was recommended by (2) different people and it was delicious!! Well seasoned and quick service.

Visit BR for the first time! Was looking forward to some good creole cajun food. Following some social media influencers and there were some good reviews on this spot. Took that chance. As yall know, Influencers like to blow things up and hype it up. This is coming from a real foodie... I ordered the Pasta with ck wings, crawfish egg roll and beignets. My pasta was trash... no flavor what so ever. I added salt, hoping to make it better: NOPE... The ck wings felt like it was just tossed in sauce, no flavor. The egg roll was bland, no flavor. The creole seasoning effect I was looking for, was not there. Now, I have to say the beignets were actually pretty good. Out of the 3 items, beignets were the only thing I recommend. I was disappointed, did not get the Bayou Affect I was hoping for.

We waited inside for our food. The wait wasn't horrible , but wasn't short either. Tbh, it was a uncomfortably, warm inside the place so we chose to eat in the car... (not sure what's going on with the air, but my boyfriend had visited before & said it was the same then.) The service was ok, just a simple order & wait while music was playing. Most of the food was straight and I'd try it again. My boyfriend ordered the lamb chops with Mac & cheese. I ordered salmon & seafood eggrolls. My biggest complaint was that they charred my salmon too much as you can see in the photos. It definitely ruined the taste.

I waited over an hour for my order, inside the restaurant, expecting at the very least that the food would be fresh and hot. Instead, it was barely warm essentially cold. I have to ask: why was my food cold if I had been waiting in person the entire time? That is simply unacceptable. The staff seemed disengaged and disorganized. Three employees stood near the register, which was chaotic and uncoordinated. No one offered an update or showed any sense of urgency. Frankly, I felt like I was inconveniencing them by simply being there. The food only made things worse. The egg rolls were tough and inedible, and the wings were underwhelming and lacked flavor. I spent $45 on just two items, plus a tip, and left with food I could barely eat. While waiting, I watched at least three other customers express frustration over delays and order issues. Clearly, this is not a one-time problem. I really wanted to support a local business, but this visit was a complete letdown. Do not waste your time or your money. I will not be returning.

Food was AMAZING!! A real hole in the wall but really tasty food! the lamb chops were seasoned to perfection and generous portion! this is why i support small local businesses! would recommend calling in and placing your order as it takes 30-45 mins and their restaurant is small with few chairs and tables. 10/10 a rare find for sure

Visiting from California this place had great reviews so we tried it. Food was freshly made, This place definitely exceeded our expectations. Nalaya most pleasant and helpful with making our decisions on what to order. The food was amazing so many flavors and spices, then my mouth was having a party! Thank you for some great food. Will be back again before we leave.!!

This place is HIGHLY recommended. Everything was very good. Service was excellent and our food came in less than 20 minutes. The staff were very friendly. The music they played in the restaurant was a nice R&B touch. I will definitely be coming back.

Mom and I went today. She actually liked the lamb and she is extremely picky. She has never eaten lamb before! I liked everything except the crescent roll so that's a thumbs up from me. Will be back.

Unlike popular food critic Keith Lee, my experience was amazing. I ordered the lamb chops and they were seasoned perfectly. They were slightly overcooked (this is probably my fault because they sat in a to go container for about 20min) yet still very tender and juicy. I got yams and mac and cheese as my sides and the mac and cheese was pretty standard nothing special but the yams were out of this world! These were the best yams I have ever had the pleasure of eating. As for the service, it was ok, there were 2 employees who appeared to be working their first shift ever, so I didn't mind. Overall, for me, my experience at The Bayou Affect was great and I will be coming back for those lamb chops and yams.

Best sea food/ soul food I've had owner is so nice the food is great and the tropical lemonade is phenomenal. Service is very nice and its a very cute place

serve was slow and my order was all wrong. I wanted a burger with no cheese but dressed. Yet I was given a cheese burger with salty shrimp

First, the hospitality is great. The guy taking order was very nice. The taste was awesome. The location was something I would normally drive right past. But after seeing good reviews I decided to try it. I was very pleased. The staff really made it for me. These ppl were really fun to be around for the short time I was there.

Everything I have eaten here has been delicious. The fried Catfish topped with crawfish pasta is my favorite

Came here with my family and let me just say this place having only 4.0 stars is crazy. Food is absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. I got the hot wings and they were some of the best i've had, everything is seasoned to perfection. 100% recommend

My wife been craving this place for a while so I finally made it so she can get a taste of these lamb chops. She was satisfied they were small but filling along with the sides. I will definitely return to try the other entree's on the menu. We enjoyed our lamb chop dinner.

I tried to order ahead on the clover app but the Friday Daily special was not an option. Specials for Monday - Wednesday were the only ones Iisted. So i then tried calling and no one answered after a very long time. I arrived and one customer was walking to car empty handed (presumably just ordered), i could see one inside waiting and one entering ahead of me. She wasnt ready to order so i went ahead. The cashier hit the buttons so quickly i didnt get to register my phone number to my purchase. I then asked to go back so i could get a receipt. She printed one and i noticed the special listed at 21.50 on there but $20 online. She said the prices have changed. I would advise not to promote it currently at one rate if it's not current. She told me 2 mins wait time. I went to the car to wait 15 minutes and then placed a second order. This time she allowed me to enter my phone number then i noticed this "special" was also being sold at a different price from what was advertised. The food never disappoints. We did one seafood pasta with fried fish & one with chicken wings ($23.50). - Update they reached out via social media and fixed the situation. I appreciate them for doing so. The fish was fried nice and soft not too crunchy. Very large portions. The wings were good flavor. They honey butter croissant is always so soft. The pasta was a great portion size and flavors were AWESOME!

The first time going there, the food was delicious. So I tried again about 2 weeks later and it tasted different. Wasn't bad but I was looking forward for that first time hit again. Or maybe it's because the second time I ordered online for pickup versus going straight in and waiting 30 minutes. Idk. But worth the wait.

I have the biggest place in my heart for good soul food, so I was super excited to try The Bayou Affect. I was expecting a dine in option, but it's only takeout. It was only about a 20-25 minute wait and you can order ahead, but if you don't, there's space to sit and really good music to vibe to the while you wait. The food smells way to good to make the drive home so be prepared to grub out in your car. I ended up getting the Saturday deal, 1/2 rack lamb chops (4) and 2 sides - mac & cheese and loaded potatoes and also added yams because I just had to. There lamb chops were absolutely AMAZING, so juicy and tender just... chef's kiss.. The only thing to really disappointment me was the Mac and cheese, it really needed more flavor, I couldn't taste anything. The loaded potatoes and yams were very nice for sides. My friends also got the Creole pasta and the 2 piece catfish plate with 2 sides. Both of them enjoyed their food. I can't wait to come back!

I finally tried this place. My husband picked up a to go order of Thursday special- Lamb Chops. The food was good but I know I would've enjoyed it better had I eaten it right when it was done. Traffic was bad so it took him about 45 minutes to get home. The chops were seasoned well and the sweet sauce to go on top was very good. The chops were kind of small. It came with 4 but I probably can eat 8. For my sides I had the broccoli and loaded mash. I could tell the broccoli was seasoned well but it was too soft, probably due to the time it took for me to get it. Now the loaded potatoes were delicious! Also the croissant bread roll was good as well. I will definitely return!

I just retufrom Georgia and was looking for a place that served lamb. it was delicious. Picked up my order from the drive thru. Pasta was quite tasty. I'll try it again

The food was BOMB!!! Definitely rating it a 10/10 on that part. The decorations were cute, the music was on point, just overall a vibe tbh! The server was super nice, my only complaint is that we waited almost an hour for our food, so definitely call ahead if you're in a rush. But overall I'd definitely return!

New place in the neighborhood I was recommended by someone so I decided to try them out. Menu has a lot of seafood stuff if you're into that it looks good but I'm not a fan of seafood. This is a take out only at the moment and appears pretty busy.I ordered the Philly steak egg rolls $14 kind of pricey but since everything has went up recently it's to be expected. Egg rolls were well seasoned crispy and hot. Great customer service. The wait was a little long but worth it. I also had a side of red beans and rice really good also.

Where should I begin?? I heard of this restaurant on a trip to Baton Rouge in September 2022. It just so happens I had to return there in March 2023 and heard about their Soft Opening near LSU. I'm so happy I had an opportunity to experience this food and I'm sure this review will not accurately describe the quality and portions of the food at this restaurant. You'll have to experience food this good to believe it. Absolutely delicious creole pasta, lamb chops, seafood platters, bayou egg rolls, and their specialty martini. I've only eaten pasta once (in Costa Rica) since eating here as nothing in Houston remotely compares to their Creole Pasta....and we loved the outdoor seating.

They have specials everyday and so far everything I've had is amazing. Everything seasoned so good. Food comes out so quick, once had an order of 5 plates and was brought out after 15-30 minutes. There is a drive through pick up or you can pick up inside, you can order ahead and pay over the phone, order online, or go in and order.

So I went to this place on Thursday (June 30th) with a craving for some red beans and rice. I already checked them out on yelp and reviewed the menu before coming and when I get there the cashier told me "We out of red beans, we only have it on Mondays". Okay that's odd seeing as though you have it on the menu as a regular option to order other than on the day of the specials. So I ordered something else (Two piece fish with Mac and cheese and yams) which was really good! The fish was seasoned well and crispy the Mac and cheese was bomb and the yams were sweet but they were mushy like baby food for some reason. So I went back again today Monday (July 4th) to try again with the red beans. I get there around the opening time and ready to order and the cashier (Lala) tells me that the red beans won't be ready until 1:30pm. Mind you the place opens at 11:30am and I'm wondering why the food wasn't already prepped and ready to be served. Like what if you had a company ordering from you for lunch and you tell them that? So okay whatever I ordered my food willing to wait because I really have a taste for some red beans. As I continue with my order getting ready to order my side the Lala rudely tells me. "The specials don't come with sides" and I'm like "Well can I add a side?" and she responded "yes". 2 hours later and I get my food, get home ready to enjoy and I was soo disappointed and disgusted actually. The red beans were not savory they were sweet as if they put sugar in the pot when making it. Sad to say I will not be returning again.

I really wanted to support this black owned business but unfortunately I could not. My weekend plans consisted of stopping here to try out their delicious food I saw on the menu. When I walked in I was not greeted at all. The two young ladies in there were very dry with every question I asked. At first I wanted the oxtails. They tell me no they don't have it. Ok moving on. I asked if they had the stuffed bell peppers. They tell me no they don't have it. Ok Let me see what else I might want. I asked if they had the lobster pasta because it sounded really good. She says no. At that point I almost lost my cool. I could not understand for the life of me why the options I chose were not scratched off the menu. They could have at least let us know what they had before hand instead of me wasting my breath. So I politely exited the building. I am sorry but I will not be supporting this business. I did not appreciate their customer service skills.

My favorite place to grab something that I know won't ever disappoint. The food is always fresh and the owners are beyond sweet. My favorite menu item is the seafood nachos. I love that they do daily specials as well. 5 stars always!!

if you like loud rap music , customers waiting with their pants pulled down past their underwear and holding their private parts . this is your place . No cocktail or tarter sauce to go with your order .

the food I've had has been good. what I don't like is that to go orders are 15-20 minutes behind when not a soul is in the restaurant. Also why have the option to PAY and order ahead, but when I get there you're out of the food I ordered SPECIFICALLY and then try to substitute it with something else I have no desire for without asking me first? instead of calling me ahead of time to tell me you were out. Could have 1. saved me a trip, 2. saved 20 extra minutes waiting on HALF my order that was suppose to be ready at 7:30. This is the second time this has happened. ridiculous. Tuesday. I ordered both specials. you were out of Philly egg rolls and put bayou rolls on my plate. it was disgusting.

The Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls are ridiculously good. I want to try something different from the menu but I can't get past these.

Overpriced.... This place is a scam. I placed an order over the phone and was told it would take 35 minutes. It ended up taking an hour. I got the 1/2 rack of lamb chops with Mac n cheese and yams. The Mac and cheese was stiff and tasteless and the yams were mush. The lamb could've been seasoned more in my opinion. Didn't taste any flavor only tasted the sear on it. The quality of the lamb was good i can say that. You can get 2 rack of lamb at Sam's or Costco for $30-$40. It ended up being $41 for the plate with a strawberry lemonade. They only had 4 options to drink which was also upsetting. I

Foos is always cold, they always have a bad attitude and always take more than 50 minutes to prepare the food and always forget something when you order it. They choose and favoritize customers. Terrible service

I tried this place last Saturday for lunch. The guy working the counter was great. Sorry didn't catch his name. And the food was good. Will go back

Third strike. My experience with this restaurant has been horrible. The lamb chops is the only redeeming factor about this place. 1st attempt to try this place I was left on hold for 30 minutes until I finally hung up. 2nd attempt, phone rang but no answer. Finally I stopped by to pickup food I ordered from them, when we got there we had to wait another 45 minutes for food w nowhere to sit. It became clear the workers had no experience running a restaurant. After months went by we tried again by ordering through Waitr. The driver only had my appetizer, he said the restaurant "lost" the rest of my order which was over $120 worth. I had to drive to pickup the order myself. I DO NOT recommend based on service and unprofessional atmosphere

The heavy set lady at the front counter is very unprofessional, goofy, and not very knowledgeable of the entire business/menu. Seems as if she purposely pronounces names wrong and just laugh as she said AND I QUOTE "I remember guys names not female names well". Umm ok. Next, they forgot my sides so I had to turn around and go back in and she blatantly laughed then took my order to the back. A young man did give me a free lemonade for the wait, thanks to him and he also grabbed me ranch when I asked her due to her telling me "no we don't have ranch just mayonnaise" as she laughed away. Now to the food, I had red beans and rice with mac & cheese and loaded potatoes and 5 chicken wings. The red beans were spicy and had no meat just BONES...no taste just spice and also the portion was insane for the price. The macaroni and the loaded potato was clearly slapped in a container with sprinkled cheese on top then melted in the microwave. Absolutely NO TASTE just the taste of cheddar cheese. The wings were good as well as the corn bread. Will I come back? NO! Do I recommend this place? HECK NO.
