The Beach House Kitchen and Cocktails

Highly Recommend this restaurant, the food was delicious. We went during Happy Hour and was pleasantly surprised. We had fresh Margaritas made from scratch. All Appetizers $6 I had the Fried Flounder w/ff and Pineapple coleslaw for $10.95 the atmosphere was great we sat on the patio. The customer service is excellent everyone was very kind. Our waitress was Jasmin she was excellent. Definitely recommend this place when visiting Gulf Shores.

Spinach and artichoke dip was amazing with the pita chips. Chicken strip dinner was amazing. It was tender, juicy, and had the best crumb. Hands down best! Crawfish Mac and cheese was seasoned just right with just enough spice mixed with the cheese was phenomenal. Bayley was our waiter and he was the best.

We ate and had frozen cocktails. It was delicious! A local recommended this place to try the Bushwacker (the famous local cocktai). Wow! It was quite the drink! We ate the blackened fish, coconut shrimp, and bama rolls. We came during happy hour. Appetizers were $6. Cocktails were $1 off. We'd go back!

This place has been a staple in my family's trips! They have seen my babies grow as grand as their appetite. They have always left us happy, encouraged (a wonderful server gave encouraging words of advice to my daughter a few years ago,) and given full bellies every visit. We always look to this place as a must-visit and can't thank the owner and staff for everything they do! Wish I could truly put how valuable this place is and hope it becomes a generational tradition. Love this place!

Everything was delicious!! Much better than the touristy places we went to! I wish we would’ve skipped them and had this place all the other times instead! Everything seemed like they cooked it all not frozen food. Very good and great prices! Definitely would come again!

The burger was great, the bartender was excellent... its one of those local hangouts where the staff knows everyone e by name. Overall great experience!

Great place. We come here for lunch whenever we visit the area. Their margaritas are amazing. Tacos and burgers are also awesome

We ordered to go and I was the one to pick it up. I ordered before the dinner rush and that was the perfect time to come. Inside has a perfect beach vibe and there is also outdoor seating. The bar was fully stocked and the staff was friendly! The food was great (I had the shrimp skewer) with the shoestring fries and vegetable of the day which was zucchini. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a quick, good tasting meal!

We ate here while on a beach trip to Gulf Shores. If you're fine with eating early, they have a great happy hour for drinks and appetizers. The appetizers are all $6 (for a smaller serving) during happy hour. There is indoor and outdoor seating to choose from (we chose indoor). My son said he wasn't very hungry, so he ordered the wings appetizer (plain) as his meal. My husband also ordered the wings appetizer (buffalo sauce), which he found were rather small. Both enjoyed the wings (my son ended up ordering a second wing appetizer). Our youngest daughter wanted a burger, but they didn't have one on the kids' menu, so my husband ordered the 1/2 lb burger and gave her half of it (she's 5, so it was plenty for her). It came with their shoestring fries, which were delicious! Our older daughter ordered the Mac-n-cheese off the kids menu. She didn't care for the Mac. I tried it and thought it was delicious, but I could see how a kid might not like it (it tasted like a smoked Gouda cheese - very flavorful). Both of the girls ordered a "mocktail" because they were listed on the kids menu. My older daughter ordered the Berry Blast, and my youngest daughter ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri. They loved that the drinks came out in "fancy cups." My husband ordered the Beach House Amber and I ordered the Beach House IPA. Both were great! I ordered the Beach House Cobb salad. It was amazing! There were more toppings than greens. It had a fried egg, which was new for me - I'm used to boiled eggs with a Cobb salad. Mushrooms were another surprise addition. It also had avocado, cucumber, onion slices, cheese, grilled chicken and bacon (I asked for no tomatoes). I ended up bringing half of it home with me. We ended the meal with a slice of key lime pie and a slice of chocolate cake (the two dessert options) for us to share at the table. I didn't try the key lime pie, but my husband enjoyed it. The chocolate cake was rich and delicious. Overall, this was a great place for a family meal here in Gulf Shores!

We came here for an early dinner and it was good! My sister wasn't the biggest fan of her chili lime wrap, but we all loved the coconut shrimp! They have lunch specials from 2-5 making all the appetizers $6 (aka the coconut shrimp for us) The atmosphere is like a bar with tv's playing. Good music playing and the staff is all njce. We've been here twice and our waiters each time have been fantastic! Relatively quick service as well. My aunt and sister also got a pina colada's and they were not a fan. They gave it a 2/10. Overall we all thought our food was either 9/10 or 10/10. We've been here twice and will probably come again soon!

Went for dinner because family was in town and wanted to try something that wasn't a chain. I ordered the grouper that was a little over $20 and it was MAYBE a 4oz filet. The taste was ok but I was very disappointed in the serving size. When I mentioned it to the server he said that "grouper is very expensive" well it's actually not anywhere else I have ever been. The salad I ordered with it came out warm and so many shredded carrots that I filled up a saucer with them. Our drinks were constantly empty and we had to ask other servers to get our server 3 different times for refills. Other than that he never came to check once. The inside was cool and it was fairly quiet even though there were several tables eating. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Once again another great meal and SUPER service. Shot out to Bryant for going above and beyond - he is an example of what a good server is and deserves a raise and promotion!!!

So... as a local - we love The Beach House shrimp tacos! And in the winter - love the taco specials!!! Good amount of seating inside and out. We enjoy sitting at the bar to have a couple drinks and meal. The staff overall has been great-only thing I could say "negatively" is the host/hostess position needs to be someone lively and who smiles...friendly and acknowledging of the customer. There is one female that has been there for years and she always seems to appear to hate her job, not friendly, never smiles or welcomes the guest. So great food and atmosphere... but don't judge your first experience based on the hostess.

Just needed somewhere to grab a quick bite on a late night and we stumbled upon The Beach House! The egg rolls were ok, I didn't really have much chicken in them. The pulled pork sandwich was very good and the wrap was tasty as well. Nice vibe and quick eats!

Cute restaurant with an outdoor deck too. Super friendly service. All of the food is homemade and fresh, not the typical frozen fried food you get in the area. The coconut shrimp were huge and cooked just right, yummy! The BLT was amazing. The bacon was delicious along with the tomato relish. The burger was huge, cooked perfectly and flavorful. Instead of fries, we got side salads. The side salads are huge with homemade dressings. I had a lime vinaigrette, tasty. The shrimp wrap was full of shrimp and fresh veggies with a delicious dressing. It was so nice to eat fresh, flavorful food!

Highly disappointed. Service was slow. Food was disappointing. And prices were high (this piece was to be expected due to the location). We were very hopeful that this would be a gem as it was close to our condo. Unfortunately, none of the food ordered was worth returning for. Fish tacos & shrimp tacos were mediocre at best. Fries were over cooked. Chips and queso came with stale chips covered in paprika (why??). Fish sandwich was over cooked. Best thing we had was some sides: black beans and veggies. So sad we don't have a place to walk to to grab dinner. $96 + tip later (for 3 adults and a kiddo) we left with a lot to be desired.

Nice location right across from the beach. They have a decent menu with a concise selection of local seafood and American foods. The service was slow and underwhelming on my first visit as they seemed to be very understaffed. On my next visit the service was great. They have the best burger by far in this section of Gulf Shores. Overall this spot is a bit off the main drag so it tends to not get as crazy crowded as some other spots during peak tourist times. Waited 1hr 20 for an inside table and it was in the corner and hotter than outside. Food was good and staff was friendly. Just not a repeat experience

The friends of ours that we go to Gulf Shores with every year love this restaurant. My wife and I thought it was just ok. It took them entirely too long to get us our refills, and when we had a couple of issue with our food, we had to wait for forever (in my sand lot voice) to even get the attention of our waitor. Overall, we just weren't that impressed with the overall experience.

We enjoyed our food the service was great as well! We'd definitely go back! Highly recommend the bacon wrapped shrimp!

So after reading the reviews I decided to order according to recommendations. My #1 favorite of the recommendations was the cheese curds, and yes they are the best I've ever had. Second was the bushwhacked drink, which did not disappoint. Third was the bacon wrapped shrimp, another hit. And 4th was the craw dad mac&cheese, another home run. Glad to have drove 2 hours out of our way home for this little surprising gem;)

Located away from the main drag and in what I consider more of a residential area, the Beach House is a nice little restaurant in Gulf Shores. Like most places near the water, BH is "raised" off the ground so there's a good flight of stairs that you'll need to climb. Their main dining room is rather small because their "outside" seating area is about the same size. Even though it was a brisk and chilling evening in late November, we were still pretty comfortable because they had nice wall mounted heaters. We didn't want to wait the 30 minutes to dine inside and afterwards didn't regret didn't dining outside at all. Since we opted to dine outside, we were seated in about 5 minutes. Our server Hannah was quick to take our drink orders. Their double-sided laminated menu has a good variety of items including Appertizers, Salads, Tacos, Burgers, Sandwiches, Wraps, Entrees, Sides and Drinks. They also have a separate Specials menu which outlined very specific Daily specials. Matthew tried their Bushwacker. It was quite good I thought. Tammy got their Margarita which was a special this Tuesday night. Our spinach & artichoke dip arrived promptly with a plateful of house fried pita chips. We were off to a great start because this dip really hit the spot. The dip itself was on par, but I was impressed by the chips. They were fried just right, warm, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yom Yom Yom. Tonight was also their $2.50 tacos special night. Matthew got a shrimp, pulled pork and chicken taco. Matthew's favorite out of the three was the pulled pork. I tried the shrimp taco and it was very tasty with the the cotija cheese, slaw and chili-lime aioli. Tammy's blackened crawfish mac & cheese was the real deal. The crawfish were large, seasoned just right, and served hot with toasted garlic bread. Yom Yom Yom. Rachel ordered the chicken caesar wrap. It was a nice sized wrap with blackened chicken, romaine, caesar dressing, and parmesan cheese. She said it was pretty good. I opted for the Gulf Fish entree with black beans, slaw and house salad. All our entrees took a little longer, but worth the wait. I did have to remind them of my forgotten house salad which they brought out after my main course, but that's ok because the salad was huge with lots of shredded carrots and cucumber. The black beans were on par and delicious. The pineapple slaw however was top notched! I enjoyed biting into the sweet pieces of pineapple. My fish which I believe was a redfish filet was a little on the small side, but I was really impressed with the way they seasoned it. The lemon pepper wasn't overwhelming and spot on. Hannah was attentive all night. The restaurant has a very comfortable "home" feel. We received our food relatively quickly for a party of four and it was served warm which was nice on a brisk cool evening sitting outside. I would definitely return. There are many other items I would love to sample like their shrimp poboy or much talked about burgers. Thanks for a nice evening BH.

Food and drinks are good but the owner doesn't believe in Air Conditioning. Very hot dining experience. Also very loud

We found this place from a yelp review and it didn't disappoint!! The food, service and atmosphere was great. Highly recommend. Also, appetizers are $6 during their happy hour, 2-6 so it's a great opportunity to try them all out instead of one big entree. Our waiter was exceptional and even offered a hot towel when we asked for wet wipes since they don't have those available.

We arrived just after 6pm to a 45-50 minute wait, but were offered an immediate option to dine at the full-service bar which we accepted. The bartender was incredibly friendly and had a wonderful attitude. He went out of his way to take care of us despite being super busy. The fish was fresh and the shoe-string fries were crispy and tasted great. Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was casual dining

Best Margarita I have ever had! Everything was freshly squeezed & made in house. Service was also awesome & friendly!!

Great service. We were here for lunch right at noon. High season seems to be coming to a close as we were seated right away and he patio wasn't full the whole time we were here. Hubs had the burger (yum) and I had the southwest wrap. Large portions - and both were fantastic. They have the good ranch (made in house) if you are into that. $3 high life and red stripe for the win. Took a pic half way through my wrap.

This place is truly a hidden gem! We are vacationing again in gulf shores from Michigan and we are so happy we stumbled upon this place! The atmosphere is just so relaxed and comfortable! The food is just beyond amazing. We were a table of 6 and all the food was gone so fast. Our waitress Maya was exceptional!! She was so kind and helpful with our table. I would highly recommend this place to anybody coming in for vacation!

The food is always prepared fresh. The drinks are creative. Service is top notch. Out of 10 visits, we could have a perfect experience 8 times.

This place isn't fancy, but the food is superb. I had a southwestern salad that was absolutely delicious. I added grilled Gulf shrimp and it rates as the best meal I had at the beach. It was fresh, and perfectly seasoned. Our servers name is Kathy (my apologies if it "C") and she was awesome. They were slammed busy (spring break) but she was kind, fun and efficient. We returned later in the week again, for a night cap because she was so good and the food was so good. Sat at the bar & the bartenders were great too- Mike & staff do a great job behind the bar.

Incredibly it's been over 3 years since I first reviewed this place and most incredible of all is that I've been back here nearly 15O times!! I know, who goes to the same restaurant/bar 150 times in 3 years? Well, I do and probably will be here another 150 times in the next 3 because our friends and neighbors come here for our weekly get-together. :-) I was introduced to Beach House Kitchen & Grill shortly after moving into our forever home by dear sweet neighbor, Ann. It was apparent that neighbors knew one another here and actually hang out together, what a novel concept :-) We go to this terrific establishment every single Friday and not just because the food is good or because the service is outstanding but the drink a d food specials are awesome. $2.50 beers, $3 wines, and $5 well drinks. So let's talk about the place, it's a couple miles west on Beach Road where 59 dead ends at the beach (look for the big sign in the sky on the right) and behind Waves. It's a large building on stilts that has plenty of parking with several handicap spots with a long ramp. There's plenty comfy outdoor seating (pups are welcome outside) with lots of seating indoors and a big full bar and TV's around the entire space. It's comfy, but can be a little loud at times, but we like it here, and I love my weekly visit we call Friends & Neighbors Friday! I think I've had every item on the menu but stand iuts, for me, is the excellent coconut shrimp, the spnach & artichoke dip with crispy pita pints, the triggerfish sandwich a shrimp tacos. BTW the cheeseburgers are pretty darn good and the $13.99 steak specials, on Friday, at a great deal too. Bottom line: This is a fine locally owned and operated business with friendly and thoughtful staff and good food. I especially appreciate their nod to locals with year-round and seasonal specials. Highly recommended!!

From the outside in it looks like a nice restaurant. Plenty of seating outside and inside. Appetizers- we went around 3 which was happy hour for the appetizers. $5 bucks on all apps but a smaller portion. We ordered the wings & coconut shrimp Wings- the sauce was very good ( honey hot) but unfortunately the wings were extremely small, and one of the wings was cold. (Didn't cook long enough or were frozen and didn't thaw completely) Coconut shrimp - you could taste the grease Entree- I ordered the shrimp tacos but instead of blackened I went with grilled. Rating it a zero out of five. The shrimp had an awful taste with a combination of the pineapple slaw & Chile-like aioli. The service was actually quick, but the food was not worth it.

Our go to place when we're in gulf shores. Great burger and a Cobb salad citrus dressing is spectacular

This would have been 5 stars from our recent visit, with the exception of the appetizers. We arrived mid afternoon and our waitress (who was great BTW) told us it was 1/2 off appetizers, so we decided to order the spring rolls. They tasted good, but were not at all warm and were very greasy. This was the only drawback. Our other food was fantastic and it was fresh. I would still recommend them and will visit again when we are in Gulf Shores next time!

Stellar service and delicious food in walking distance of our condo? Yes please! My husband had the Sunday fish special and I had the shrimp po boy... and both plates were licked clean (not literally ok lol). Same goes for our littles' meals. It was a win win for the whole family!

I ordered the fresh fried fish with fries and crawfish Mac and cheese. The fish was really fresh and so were the fries. The Mac and cheese was really unique and I'm pretty sure anyone would like that too. The girl who waited on us was very nice and friendly. We sat in the patio area- there was nice music and a lively ambiance

First time here on 1/8/2024 & lived the music atmosphere. Lots of snowbirds dancing & having fun. The chicken sliders were fantastic, lightly breaded & juicy chicken. Service was excellent! We will be back

Delicious bacon wrapped shrimp, coconut shrimp, happy hour. Great food, casual, nice outdoor patio with heaters work pretty well but we ate inside.

We came on a busy afternoon during dinner time on spring break and were seated immediately with 2 in our party. They sat us quickly and had our drinks out even quicker. The kindness and attentiveness of the staff made the experience very pleasant. But this review does not just cover the service... but the FOOD! Wow. We are new here to Gulf Shores but if we do return, this will be one of our stops. My boyfriend and I got the Chicken Cesar Wrap and the Cesar Salad with Blackened Gulf Fish. My boyfriend is not one to give out 5 star reviews, but he wanted me to post about beach house!! Delicious food, great service and cozy environment.

Beach House Kitchen and Cocktails is absolutely the best restaurant in west beach of Gulf Shores. Food is delicious and prices are VERY reasonable. In my opinion, the best aspect of this beach restaurant is the service. Everyone is friendly and eager to please. Hats off to Jovi & Savannah!!

The wait time was very long I had to wait 1hr for the food. the fries I got were so thin it wasn't even funny. the fried chicken sandwich chicken barely had any flavor. the the waiter were nice. even thought the fries were thin they still were decent. it was not to loud or quiet.

The $5 Happy hour appetizers are delicious and I had the Cobb and Hubby had the BBLT. We had the spinach dip - awesome. Also the Bushwacker is yummy! My salad was huge (take home) and Hubby said he will have the BBLT with tomato and Mayo rather than tomato relish and black pepper aioli. We'll be back to try their burger!

We had a fried seafood platter and a cheeseburger. Enjoyed both. Nothing life changing but good food

Tonight was the first time in 8 years that we were disappointed in the food and service at The Beach House. We took family here for the first time bragging up the taco special and service. There were 6 of us and only two got what they ordered correctly. When we explained to our server that the orders were incorrect he sent the manager to our table and we expressed our disappointment. He apologized for the orders being messed up, but no adjustments in our bills was offered. We all paid our tabs, but will not be returning. Very sad because we have enjoyed all of our past visits Rick K.

Great service super friendly and they have awesome daily specials. Modelo draft 2.75 tacos 2.50, chips and queso 7. Large screen tv. Full bar. Margarita was small but other than that super fantastic. Our party of 8 was seated quickly.

Okay, let's get down to it, this is a hidden gem!! The food was incredible. We had 5 people go. The wait was short & the service was great! They had plenty of staff which was refreshing to see compared to other restaurants in the area. This is a great place for families with kids and even a great spot just for a date night! The salads were fantastic! We especially loved the cilantro lime dressing! Would definitely go back!!

Got to Gulf Shores for our weekend trip. Decided to grab an early supper just down the road from from our VRBO. The Beach House had a listed menu with something for everyone. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Appetizer came out promptly. Cheese curds were hot and fried crisp. Nice crispy outside with chewy center. Ranch dressing topped it off with a nice zing. Main coarse took longer than expected with such a small afternoon crowd. Coconut shrimp was overcooked and not flavorful and dip was runny. Cheeseburger had a large, 1/2 lb patty with a brioche bun. Bun was not toasted. Meat tasted slightly freezer burnt. Shoe string fries were cold and unsalted. Three star was pushing it but the staff knocked it out of the park. It appeared to be more of a drinking atmosphere, as many locals were bellied up to the bar. There was a large cocktail menu. Outside dining on a covered porch was available. If you looking for a nice drink and some super nice staff and service. Give them a try. But the bar food is lacking a touch.

We liked it. The shrimp tacos were fire. We also had the chicken tacos and the queso. There were a lot of locals there, which is a good sign. The place was cute. The menu was a little sparse. We still liked it.

Our party of 6 dined here last night. The place was packed but we were seated immediately. The place was filled with conversations but not so loud that you couldn't maintain one at your own table, Our server was friendly and quick. We started with a few appetizers. The Wisconsin cheese curds were deliciously perfect. Many commented they were the best curds ever. The spinach artichoke was wonderful but the pita chips were amazing!!! The wings were flavorful but a bit on the puny side. I failed to get a pic of everyone's entrees. 4 ordered burgers. 3 complained that the burgers were disappointing and had no flavor to them. Many commented that the shoestring fries felt like they had been sitting too long and did not taste fresh. One had a taco dish and black beans. She said hers was really good and that the black beans were amazing!! My husband said we would return for appetizers and cocktails (which the mixed drinks were reasonably priced) but probably not eating burgers here again.

We go there frequently and it is always a pleasure. Service and food are excellent and they have one of the best happy hours in the region. I recommend the bacon wrapped shrimp and spring rolls. We love Jillian!

The fish tacos were great! The grilled fish was also excellent. The cocktails were quite yummy. Food took a long time to arrive, though. Mac & cheese came out cold so had to send back. Burger was very undercooked. Sat on the porch which was quite nice but hard to get our waitress's attention. I'd say your chances here are 50/50.

Stopped in for happy hour. Drinks were decent. Service was good. I'm hoping the appetizers for $6 for happy hour are smaller portions than they normally serve. Pretty clean. Able to eat outdoors which is a bonus when visiting from a much colder state. We would go back. Kids loved their Mac and cheese. My husband enjoyed his fish sandwich.
