Grant Park Cocktail Bar Cardinal and Third Street Goods Neighborhood Market Are Closing at the Beacon in August 2020 | Eater Atlanta

"An intimate cocktail bar that opened in April 2019 at the Beacon complex, it closed in mid‑March because of the pandemic and never reopened; statewide rules kept bars closed through May 31, and the owner judged the small, poorly ventilated space unsuited to operate safely under pandemic conditions. The bar had been on an upward trajectory—one of its best months occurred the month before closure, it was about to be featured in Imbibe, and a new investor was close to finalizing details—yet months of lost revenue, owed rent, and a steep drop in the neighboring market’s sales made continuing untenable. Staff were redeployed to the market, a patio aperitivo idea was considered but abandoned as cases spiked, and the owner said she is grieving the loss but proud of what was built and hopeful about reopening another bar when conditions allow." - Beth McKibben

Beware before you MOVE here. If I had a chance I would provide negative rating for living in this apartment community. I lived here for 12 months and it was a nightmare. Office staff are rude, unhelpful and negligent especially the office Manager. Problems include 1. Post move out charges are a scam here - do not expect to receive any portion of your deposits back even when you return the home in pristine condition and no defects on the wall. The community and office staff does not consider the concept of normal Wear and Tear they would blindly charge you prorated painting, full cleaning charges and carpet charges. This is despite providing full in depth video and photo evidence. A sample is attached with this review of how the house looked at the time of the move out. 2. Poor soundproof - its impossible to have peaceful living unless you are on the top floor. 3. Most expensive electric charging rates in the bay area. 4. Recurring emails from office staff on new rules adding to the community every other month, feels like a harassment to read the emails. In my decade of renting I have not seen an apartment community this bad in every step of living there.

I have lived in different apartments for over 10 years now and this is the worst management I've seen. We have frequent door break-ins, homeless people entering (security patrol is hardly visible), the gates don't work half the time and they don't even have security to monitor that and on top of that, Mariana (the manager) is extremely rude and arrogant. Even as a resident I feel scared to talk to her. I don't know what do I do and whom do I reach out to for that.

Have lived here for over four months. Very new and well maintained building and facility. Very polite and welcoming office manager and maintenance staff! They say hello and smile to us every time. Not to mention the extremely convenient location. I personally have not experienced any circumstances that make me feel unsafe as some other reviews noted. Yes this is California, there are crazy and homeless people sometimes nearby and some instances might be inevitable. But I feel very safe and walk my dog in the neighborhood every late night. I also see security patrol vehicles in the garage in the night. Never lost a package. Update: now living a couple of more months. Garbage truck comes every morning at 5am, literally. Don't remember since when. Making huge noise like thunder. Impossible to not be awaken by it. Really annoying. Getting more homeless people around recently. Can see tents everyday and psychopaths sometimes. My car license plate got stolen, either in the garage or in a road nearby.

I had an excellent experience with Celina during my apartment search. From the start, they were incredibly helpful, professional, and responsive. They listened to what I was looking for, answered all my questions patiently, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Their knowledge of the property and the leasing process was impressive, and they went above and beyond to ensure everything was clear and handled efficiently. I truly appreciated their friendly attitude and willingness to help every step of the way. Highly recommend their assistance to anyone looking for a new place!

I resided here for 10 months, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Despite the steep price tag, the service fell below average standards. One of the most concerning issues was the lack of safety measures, with minimal action taken by the management group. Firstly, car break-ins were alarmingly frequent. Not only did I experience it once, but numerous neighbors also faced similar incidents. Despite reporting to the police and obtaining records, there was no significant follow-up. It's perplexing how such incidents could occur so frequently within a gated garage, especially when surrounded by numerous cameras. Ironically, my vehicle was parked directly in front of one of these seemingly non-functional cameras. Secondly, package theft was rampant. I personally lost three packages within the span of 10 months. The leasing office offered minimal assistance and displayed a concerning lack of concern. Given the exorbitant monthly rent of $3000+, one would expect a higher level of security. In conclusion, if you don't own a car and aren't expecting regular deliveries, this place might earn a 4-star rating for you. However, if these issues concern you, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere, as my experience would warrant a 0-star rating.

I had an unpleasant experience with the leasing office. I showed up for a tour on a Saturday at 1 PM, but they said they were short on staff and don’t allow self-guided tours, so I was told to come back another day, which was fair since not every apartment complex has self-guided tours. A few weeks later, I booked a tour on their website for Saturday at 12 PM—an available slot they showed. A few hours later, they canceled it without even asking, saying they were already booked. I told them I was coming from the West Bay and had planned my whole day around apartment tours, so I couldn’t change the time, but they never replied. Honestly, just from this experience, you can tell a lot about how the management works here. If they’re this unresponsive before move-in, I can’t imagine how they’d be after. I’m glad I ended up not going with this place.

I’ve been living at The Beacon Luxury Apartments since December, and I’ve had a great experience so far. I want to recognize Alaia Salinas, one of the leasing consultants. She’s always professional, helpful, and does her best to provide clear and accurate answers to any questions I have. I really enjoy speaking with her she makes communication easy and pleasant. I also want to highlight the maintenance service. Jorge, the maintenance technician, is excellent. He responds to requests very quickly and keeps me updated throughout the process until everything is resolved. His work is efficient and reliable, which I truly appreciate. Overall, I really enjoy living at The Beacon. The staff maintenance, and overall experience have been outstanding.

The apartments are beautiful. I’m hoping that AMC starts to hold true to their values and start providing a “high-level of resident satisfaction & wellbeing”. The care from the leasing agent (Sunday 6/1/25 around 5pm) was far below what I would expect from such a reputable management company. I’ve been told that units weren’t available, and when I mentioned the offerings on the site, she backtracked and acknowledged the unit(s). The door was completely locked with no notes during regular business hours, and even after an alleged restroom break, she didn’t seem eager to provide the services she was hired to provide. I’ve booked a tour on the site and received a call that the booking was canceled. As I considered my brief experience with the leasing agent, I can’t imagine providing her with any of my personal information. If the leasing agents aren’t properly doing their jobs I can imagine that the owners won’t be pleased. I’ve encountered other management companies like Prometheus, where our family was welcomed and our experience encouraged us to consider going beyond our original budget. I live in a sister property, but it is evident that AMC is disjointed in the services they provide. As a property owner myself, I wouldn’t want AMC, particularly anyone associated with The Beacon, handling my tenants. I suggest AMC consider a different site to use for booking appointments. No other complex in the bay had a faulty process like this. I was able to fully book a real appointment or I was able to email their AI or human agent to finalize the details of my tour. At this point they may want to consider self-guided options so that they can train or hire better humans. (As a note, I drove in from LA to tour several properties and Beacon was previously at the top of my list. I almost applied for a unit before coming in person.) ** I apologize for mentioning Aleah in the initial review. I spoke with my cousin who had a tour and she assured me that Aleah, I apologize if the spelling is incorrect, was an incredible agent**
