A New 'Pirates of the Caribbean'-themed Bar Is Opening at Disney World's Magic Kingdom—and We Got a First Look Inside

"I got a sneak peek inside the brand-new tavern opening Aug. 29 and found an immersive, interactive bar tucked in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park that leans heavily into both the classic Pirates of the Caribbean attraction and the film franchise—Easter eggs, original artwork and props from the movies, pirate flags, candles, and a skull-shaped ship-hull bar all help sell the world, and you’ll even spot a pirate’s foot dangling from a hammock as a nod to the bridge-dwelling pirate. Rummy the parrot makes appearances above the bar during lively interactive moments, and always-in-character cast members keep the mood playful with pirate jokes and tavern lore. The menu matches the theme with tropical beverages (including three rum-based cocktails out of seven total drinks, such as the Plunderer's Punch served in a souvenir pirate cup), wine, beer, select rums, two signature mocktails including the Treasure Trove paired with sweet treats, and light bites like Island Provisions (four savory dips with plantain chips, tortilla chips, and flatbread), an octopus ceviche-style dish topped with a curly tentacle, and corn griddle cakes filled with chicken or corn and peppers. Visits are 45 minutes, limited to two alcoholic drinks per guest, and reservations are strongly recommended via the Disney World website or My Disney Experience app." - Elizabeth Rhodes Elizabeth Rhodes Elizabeth Rhodes is a senior editor at Travel + Leisure, covering everything from luxury hotels to theme parks to must-pack travel products. During our recent trip to Orlando this past October, we had the pleasure of dining at The Beak and Barrel inside Disney World's Magic Kingdom —not once, but twice! Both visits, one late at night and the other midday, were absolutely fantastic. From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the vibrant atmosphere. The décor is a feast for the eyes, with lots to look at and even a few little shows that add to the fun experience. The crew, as they call their staff, were phenomenal, providing exceptional service with a friendly flair. While the menu isn't large, each item is crafted with care. I absolutely loved the Cook’s Corn Cake with Chipotle Braised Chicken, a delightful blend of flavors that left me craving more. The Port of Call was another standout drink that I highly recommend. My husband couldn't get enough of the Siren’s Whisperer cocktail, and of course, he had to take home the tiki mug that came with the Plunderer's Punch—a fun souvenir from a memorable meal. Though there's a 45-minute time limit similar to Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars, it only adds to the lively, bustling atmosphere. The Beak and Barrel is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique dining experience in Magic Kingdom Park. We can’t wait to go back!

This is the best new bar on Disney property. Based on Pirates of the Caribbean, and right outside of the ride, this place takes themed bars to a whole new level. As soon as you walk in, you’re transported into a pirate lair, complete with model ships, looted treasure, great chairs, a fireplace, and an absolutely massive bar. There’s an animatronic parrot doing bits, along with great scenes happening every 15 minutes or so where the whole place comes to life. There are a bunch of incredibly themed and tasty drinks, along with a few food items. Everything was delicious and strong. The staff gets in on the pirate fun, staying in character, playing up the atmosphere, and offering their recommendations. Do yourself a favor and check out this spiritual successor to Trader Sam’s!

Make a reservation this place is pretty awesome. Rummy the parrot runs this place :) This is the Magic Kingdoms first actual bar, interesting they get away with letting kids in, but that’s the part of this review. You aren’t going to come able to get in by walking up unless the planets align perfectly, so keep trying to get a reservation. The drink I had was very good and had plenty of rum. We tried a dessert plate that included a non alcoholic drink too. It was very good. Our table mates got the chicken pita kinda thing. They enjoyed that. My only complaint is the menu is it’s very small. Also needs more traditional fair mixed with some of the unique choices they have. Other than that it’s a fun place and I didn’t see anyone not enjoying themselves. Rummy!!!

We ordered the Plunderer's punch (pirate head cup), the Hibiscus Rum Punch Royale and 2 of the Cursed Treasure (in metal mug). The first 2 drinks are adult only alcohol drinks. The Cursed Treasure is alcohol free, kiddo friendly. My son absolutely loved them! I loved the alcohol drinks as well. They were well made and worth the money. Not full of just ice or syrup, actual quality drinks. The ambiance was super fun! Every 20 min or so, the parrot would come out and talk, get the crowd involved in a song, or something would happen in the pub to make it an immersive experience. The whole thing was very well done and really neat for pirate fans! Family friendly and gluten free menu available!

Honestly, I felt kind of underwhelmed coming here. It’s definitely overhyped for what it is. The decor is cute and kind of looks like the inside of a boat, but that alone wasn’t enough to make the experience feel special. I ordered a hibiscus drink, which was extremely sweet and hard to get down. The staff member outside was pretty rude when we were checking in, and overall the experience felt very rigid and overly streamlined. We were given a strict spiel about having to leave exactly at 45 minutes, with an emphasis that 46 minutes was not acceptable. I understand time limits, but the way it was stressed took away from the enjoyment. Our waiter was nice, but we were expecting a more interactive experience. Aside from an automated parrot that dances around, there really was not much engagement. Maybe it is just me, but if something is this hard to get into and so structured, I expect it to be a lot more impressive. I honestly expected more from Disney with an experience like this. Also the seat we got faced a walla me you couldn’t even see the bar which is dumb!

P i r a t e s 🏴‍☠️ We recently visited The Beak and Barrel, and it’s definitely a fun addition to the park! The pirate theme is super cute and well-executed. The staff were great and totally on point with the service and theme, which added to the experience. That said, even with a booking, we ended up waiting quite a while to be seated, and the drinks were just okay... nothing special. Overall, it’s a charming spot with a great atmosphere, but I left feeling a little underwhelmed given the wait and the hype.

Google
Place is fantastic. Such a cool new place to hang out and grab a drink while chillin at the Magic Kingdom. Lots of fun just hanging out and enjoying some time with the Pirates. The atmosphere is truly special and unique and totally immersive. Will definitely come by every time I visit Disney World.

I almost cancelled our reservations after reading reviews but I’m glad I didn’t. We lucked out with an area in the main room so we could see the bar action but we did not get chairs. Had we been in the other room it would not have been a good experience. We were told a few times we only had a strict 45 minutes to enjoy but our drinks didn’t come for a full 20 minutes. Took 30 min to get food. We were rushing to finish. The corn cake with braised chicken (arepa) was absolutely delicious. The island provisions (chips and dips) were decent as were the drinks. The server was fun. I would go back but I think they should just take walk-in’s with a wait like Trader Sam’s does. And they need seats everywhere. They could still have a 2 drink limit but there was no way we could have had 2 drinks in those 45 minutes.

Yelp
TikTok videos had me hyped up for this one. Overall was about as fun as Olga's cantina but the star wars add-ons stand out much more than the pirates movie decor. The staff is just about the best part - reciting parts, interacting along with the sounds, cheesy jokes along the way, all good stuff. The snacks (3 in total to pick from) were limited and just not my jam. The beverages that we ordered appeared to be premixed and were just okay. Not the same wow factor as Olga's. Will probably book it as a fun option to have at Magic Kingdom.

Yelp
Was looking forward to trying this as we love the pirate theme and the ambience. The service was wonderful and that's the reasons we give it 3 stars, but the quality of the drinks were just not there. I would still recommend if you love Disney to go and check it out. It's one of those one and done Locations. My biggest Takeaway is, it's not Oga Cantina. The quality of the drinks were way too sweet and not really good. The highlight of our experience was the staff was very nice and in character and just a lot of fun to interact with. The ambience was good, but they could've done much better job with this area. We will definitely go to Oga Cantina every time we visit Disneyland or Magic Kingdom, but I don't see us ever wanting to visit Beacon barrel unless they get their drinks together. The margarita we ordered was extremely too sweet and just not good . My suggestion have some traditional drinks like an old-fashioned, traditional margarita, maybe throw in a sidecar. Don't go crazy and try to make it something It's not just have a couple simple, traditional drinks. Also, the 45 minute time limit is absolutely ridiculous.

Yelp
Skip it -- it feels like a money grab. The atmosphere is cool and very well done, but that's about where the positives end. The drinks were genuinely awful for the price, and the food wasn't worth it either. We had to stand the entire time, which really sucked after walking around the park all day. The bartenders were fun at first, but once our time was up, their energy completely shifted. To be clear, we were finished with our food, paid our tab and were literally taking the last sips of our drinks -- it's not like we were lingering or refusing to go. Still, they were borderline rude about pushing us out, including literally singing at us, "Yo ho yo ho you gotta go." We spent way too much money on two bad drinks and only two food options to be treated like that. Disney is already expensive enough, and this experience just wasn't worth it. Definitely a one-and-done for us.

Yelp
I saw this all over my TikTok and saw the craze over this. My boyfriend and I were planning our annual florida trip and I felt like I needed to try this out. My boyfriend and I love Pirates of the Caribbean and love cocktails, so the moment we were able to get reservations we were so stoked! This is a great bar for those who are kids inside cause the inside was amazingly decorated and had great effects! Unfortunately every group only had 45 minutes inside and limited to 2 drinks. 2 drinks is perfect because of how strong the drinks are! First I was safe and tried the Salty Margarita, your average margarita. Secondly, I tried the Hibiscus Rum Punch Royale. LOVED IT. I will get 2 next time. Off the menu, I got Island Provisions and a griddle cake. It was good to munch on. This place isn't a good place for dinner, just a place to snack on! I felt like the menu is perfect

Yelp
Service was incredible, drinks were strong, our seats weren't in the best spot and no chairs for us but the vibes were great. Will be back here it was a great time! Didn't eat any food but the drinks were well done and strong!

Yelp
It was ok. The whole thing with getting a reservation to only having 45 mins, which they do time and you will be ushered out to only 2 drinks was not very fun. We also got sat in a corner where you had to get up to see anything going on. It is a fun atmosphere where there is something happening every few minutes. The taking parrot is fun. The drinks were tasty and our server was friendly but this is a one and done for us.

Yelp
Ok, it's really a 4.5, but Yelp doesn't offer half stars, and does not quite hit the 5 star mark. 2 drinks max & strict time limit. (Hopefully it won't stay this way forever) Liked drinks, and the grub was better than most galley's would serve. Not a one and done. I would go again if I was able to score another reservation. Yelp
A bar at Magic Kingdom? Yelp! The concept is cool and it looks nice inside but you don't get to choose where you are placed and we were placed in the room near the bar, so we weren't able to see anything that was going on and also had to stand with multiple other groups. Almost everywhere else had a better view and also seats. They are very strict about the 45minute rule as well, they basically forced a couple out at one point. Drinks- didn't get any alcohol that day, tried the nonalcoholic drink that came with a cake pop, truffle, and caramel corn. Honestly this was really good if you like ube. Although, I wish it was offered without all the treats. We also ordered the griddled cake with chicken, which is basically an arepa and was VERY good! The chips and dips honestly just looked ok and someone next to us got both and recommended the arepa.

Yelp
This spot is amazing!!! It has been so challenging to try and get a reservation for this spot. I'm so glad we were able to score one during Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kongdom! I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere, decor, & the wait staff are phenomenal!!! The drinks are strong and SO tasty! Of course it's Disney, so know it will be a little pricey. The reason it did not get 5 stars is because despite being 1/3 empty, when 35 minutes hit, were told we needed to wrap it up. We actually had the bill already in the bill folder and were waiting for change. Because we were aware of the time line and were already prepping to leave it felt a little aggressive to be told to "wrap it up". Despite the rude urge to depart, we really did have a great time and I look forward to heading back ASAP!! All in all, I highly recommend!!

Yelp
The staff made the entire experience! They did a great job keeping us laughing and entertained throughout the whole visit. We were disappointed they limit you to only two drinks per person although the drinks were good! The food options were lacking, not many choices at all. There are several surprises throughout the experience too that we really enjoyed but I won't spoil it!

Yelp
Huge Disney fan here so I had to try out MK's FIRST bar. I snagged reservations for 2 on a weeknight for 6:30 pm. I made to sure to arrive 15 minutes before my reservation time. The bar is next to the Pirates of Carriage ride, there was a cast member checking people in. I was told things were running behind about 30 minutes. She took my cell number and told me to wait close by but to come wait by the doors at 6:50 to be called in. At 6:50 a bunch of people were called in for seating and it reminded me sort of like the process at Olga's Cantina. The inside is spacious and so nicely decorated that I couldn't take it all in. I had two drinks and appetizer and I don't think the prices were out of line. The drink was actually good and not watered down like so many of the drinks you get at the other parks. While I enjoyed my experience, I wouldn't say it is my favorite Disney bar. I would prefer Space 220 or Trader Sam's over Beak and Barrel.

Yelp
I was so excited to visit for the first time, but was definitely a bit let down. Firstly, I was really disappointed in how unfriendly almost all of the staff was. I totally get how stressful it must be to work at the brand new, packed location in WDW, but two of the hosts and our server were genuinely so rude to my group that I was so surprised. (Two of the other hosts were really lovely, so we definitely made a point to give them cast compliments!). When we were finally sat, our table was legitimately in a corner, and was a booth with walls that pretty much blocked us from the entire restaurant. We could not enjoy any of the fun moments that people love here. They all seemed to be really fun and liven up the experience. Aside from that, the decor and interior space itself was really nice. Great theming! The 45 min limit was not surprising to me, as I am a huge Oga's fan, but we saw our server for all of 10 minutes and he did not even come to check how our first round of drinks were before he appeared at the 45 minute mark with the check. The drinks were tasty but nothing special. There was a huge lack of variety on the menu and if you couldn't find something on the small menu that you enjoyed, you were out of luck. We only tried on of the food options, the chips with dips, and they were delicious, but not enough chips for the dips. You can't order more chips. You also can't order the one drink, which sounded the most appealing to be, without being required to buy the souvenir mug. I will return and I will definitely hope to do an updated review when I do so, but probably when the initial opening hype has died down a bit and the staff and weird policies ease up a bit. I frequent Oga's and wanted a new Oga's experience, but I did not quite get that. Oga's continues to reign supreme!

Yelp
The beak and barrel nailed it with atmosphere and taste was excellent. Everything else leading up to the experience was not great. We got lucky and got a reservation but it wasn't easy. At the time of this review they are enforcing a strict 45 minute limit on your time there and it goes by quick! You pretty much have to be ready to order as soon as you get there. I wish they had a little more food options but I guess the bar drinks at least are great and given this is a bar first I will take it. Surely the kinks will work themselves out as they get more data on how this place operates.
google avatar

Yelp
OMG I love this place. I was so excited to get a reservation during my last trip to WDW. It was well worth getting up at the crack of dawn to get the reservation. The theming is spot on, there are a huge amount of details and it's just so much fun. Tried both kid drinks along with a marrrrgarita and the special cup rum drink (love that cup, worth the price). We had the provisions plate too and the sauces were so, so good. It's definitely busy in there, very much like Oga's. So sometimes you'll be sitting, but more likely standing. The cast members there are fantastic. It's all interactive and you get to respond to the parrot that lives up above the bar. You will frequently be yelling "yo ho!" while you're in there. I would LOVE to go back! So much fun!
google avatar

Yelp
Lucked out grabbing a canceled "day of" reservation for two at the newest Pirates of the Caribbean "Beak and Barrel". We were given two plush chairs by the fireplace, I can only believe were also allowed to be occupied by non other than Capt. Jack Sparrow and guest. The menu has swashbuckling items in themed fashion. Walls adorned with swords, nets and cracks. The one eyed parrot leads some songs and talks to characters around the bar and seating area, but our seats allowed for front row views of the ships in a bottle battling it out until one sinks. Sit back and hear the cannons booms, watch the lights dim and enjoy!

Yelp
Okay! Ambience is closer to the 4, and very random things happen throughout your 45 minute experience. We got the plunders punch, the salty margarita, the corn cake with chipotle chicken and the chips platter. The dips are so many that you need more chips, but you will have to order a whole new set if you want more. You can request rooms to sit in, so ask as soon as you check in so you're not disappointed. We sat in the captains area, awesome seats BUT we waited an extra 15 minutes past our reservation. Kids are also allowed but bring snacks for them because there are only 3 food items on the menu. There's also standing room only that they consider a space. I don't know about you, but I want to sit for 45 minutes! The corn cakes were a little stiff and you can tell was already prepped and ready to go!! Our waitress brought our drinks but she didn't bring us water and she was very short but she always had a huge smile on. Perhaps she was really under a pirate spell, I don't know haha The salty margarita should've had more ube in it, it just tasted like a regular margarita to me. The plunders punch, it was very strong and you better chug because they came and told us, your 45 minutes is up! The pirate skull mug is very cool though and they'll bring you a fresh new one to take home. I'm glad I went, but I wouldn't go back. Would prefer Geo Lounge instead. There are no restrooms inside, so go before.

Yelp
We were really excited to try B&B when we scored a last minute reservation. The servers and staff do a great job of being in pirate character. The ambiance resembles a spot pirates would actually hang out in- dark, full of pirate booty, and loud. Food was good (just a selection of 4 items) and drinks were underwhelming. For 4 drinks and 1 appetizer, it was $120 before tip. The VERY STRICT 45 minute time limit went too fast and we literally were told at the 45 minute mark to drink up & get out. By the time we ordered, got our drinks and food, and started eating/drinking, our time was close to up. The experience is fun for a one time thing, but the 45 minute limit made it stressful and somewhat unenjoyable.

Yelp
I was really excited to give this place a try! I would say overall, I'd give it a 3 to a 3.5 for now. I was alone for my reservation so I was unfortunately sat at a table in a separate room essentially. Every time a fun event would happen in the main room, we (me and the rest of the room) either missed it or all ran out to see what was happening but then we were getting in the way of servers. Because of that, the ambiance for my party of one is knocked down a few pegs. I loved the Sirens Whisper! It was my kind of drink! I heard someone across the table say they liked their Salty Seas Margarita as well. I ordered the corn cake with Chipotle chicken. It was really delicious, but the corn cake was dry... and not an enjoyable cornbread kind of way. It was kinda funky. Our server was amazing though! I am bad with keeping track of names but she was so nice, checked up on us often and was willing to answer any questions!

Yelp
The Beak and Barrel is the hottest ticket item right now at Magic Kingdom. It is the first lounge that has been opened in the park. Magic Kingdom only allows alcohol if you are dining at one of their table service restaurants. So when this opened, people went crazy! It is also pirate themed so double the fun! This is located next to the entrance of Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. As of November 2025, this is reservation only, they are not accepting walk up's including during the extra party events. You MUST have a reservation. These are also extremely hard to get! I had to use a outside app to search for a reservation and was able to finally grab one, but only for myself and my husband. The other thing to note is that this is a timed experience, you have 45-minutes from when you are seated. This includes the time you wait for your server and you wait for your drinks or food. Because of our experience and this limited time, this is just a 3 for me. I am hoping once the hype calms down and the time limit is lifted or relaxed, we can go back and I will feel better about it. To start, the atmosphere is top notch. You literally feel as though you are in a pirate lounge surrounded by pirates and artifacts. It is incredibly immersive with special music, sounds, lights, winds and more. They get an A+ in my book for that! Their menu is very limited. There are a handful of cocktails, a couple of mocktails and then about 4 food items, that's it. They do have a bar but everything is batch made so you can only order from their menu. If you do not like a drink, there is no option to make your own mix. There is a couple of beer and wine options as well. You are allowed to order 2 drinks per person maximum, regardless of whether they are mocktails or cocktails. For seating, there are tables, booths, standing room and standing at the bar. If you prefer a seat, please make sure to ask at the check in desk. Also note that you might be seated with other people. My husband and I went in knowing exactly what we wanted, however, we were seated with 3 other couples at a long table and they did not know what they wanted. When the server did come over, we mentioned we knew our order but he wanted to wait for everyone to order at the same time. This was our first issue as we had to wait which ticked into our time. We ordered everything at once. We each choose 2 cocktails and then 2 food items. Everything took about 5 minutes to get there. Our other issue is that once our food and drinks arrived (about 15-20 minutes into our 45-minutes) and at that time, the server put our bill down. He came back a few minutes later and asked if we were ready to pay. I did politely say no, but I felt it was extremely pushy when we had about half our time left and they wanted us to pay already. Our food and drinks had just been placed at the table. It was rude. For drinks we order the Salty Seas mARRRgarita: Lalo Blanco Tequila, Cointreau Liqueur, Ube, and Lime for $20.00. This was absolutely delicious! I think it might be one of the best margaritas I have had on Disney property. The Ube flavor was not strong but just created a nice overall semi sweet flavor. We also went for the most expensive drink on the menu: Plunderer's Punch: Kraken Black Spiced Rum, Blackberry, Lime, and Vanilla served in a keepsake Souvenir Pirate Skull Mug for $46.00. I was not going to get this but decided we needed the first edition pirate skull. This was also the strongest drink we had of the 4. I am hoping that eventually you can order this without the pirate skull. My husband ordered the Lit Fuse which is Los Siete Misterios Doba-Yej Mezcal, Tempus Fugit Crème de Banane Liqueur, Coconut Water, Lime Juice, and Hella Cocktail Co. Smoked Chili Bitters. He really enjoyed this and said it was very strong. It was no too sweet but just a great overall flavor. He also ordered the Barrels Ablaze which was Jack Daniel's Bonded Bourbon, Honey, Lemon, and Chile. He loved this. I did not personally like it but I also do not enjoy bourbon. For food we ordered two options. First we chose the Island Provisions which was Plantain Chips, Blue Corn Tortillas, and Toasted Flatbread served with Mango Chutney, Garlic Chimichurri, Spiced Guava, and Zesty Cilantro Cream Dips. This was $16.00 and very well worth the cost. It was a great portion and the dips were very tasty. We did have more dips than the chips but overall this was a great thing to snack on. I would recommend this! I personally enjoyed chimichurri and cilantro dip the best. We also went for the Cook's Corn Griddle Cakes with Chipotle-braised Chicken which is Warm Corn Cakes stuffed with Melted Cheese, Lime Sour Cream, Chili Peppers, and Cotija. This was fantastic. I really enjoyed the flavor and the portion size. My husband and I shared both but they were perfect for us to share. The corn cake was warm and the chicken was very flavorful with a hint of spice. I would get this every time.

Yelp
If you are a Disney fan or more specifically a Disney Pirates fan, this is a must visit, at least once. Reservations are still difficult to get, but the trick is to look a couple days out when people who have snagged a reservation early cancel last minute to avoid the penalties. The menu is limited as the experience is limited to 45 minutes. The drinks are a bit sweet (and not super unique), but the corn griddle cakes with chicken were surprisingly dood. In any case, the reason to come is to immerse yourself the Disney Pirate experience. The ambiance is a pirate bar. My husband equated it to an old pub/tavern with pirate decor.

Yelp
We made a last minute reservation and were lucky to get a table for 2 and we promptly arrived after searching for the entrance a bit. We were helped right away and seated shortly after. The atmosphere is very dark, moody and pirate-y which is what they are going for. We were seated at the same table as two other couples, so we had 6 of us sharing one large table. At first, this was slightly uncomfortable because we did not know each other but our table captain did some ice breakers with us so we could feel more relaxed. The menu is very small which is understandable because it's basically a speakeasy. The drinks were very good, and you are limited to two per person the entire time. The food was actually delicious and I was surprised! I would definitely come back with friends and family, but I would not go out of our way to come back just us two I think.

Yelp
Difficult getting reservation. This is a hot restaurant. Ambiance Parrot with pirate hat appears above bar and entertains, I believe his name is Rummy and says 'drink up me hearties' the crowd goes onto a frenzy. Music, pirates singing and lightening sound effects makes it a unique and fun experience. Sammy our pirate was fun. Food and Drink Cursed Treasure mocktail Coconut milk, cookie crumbs, vanilla foam and pirates gold. This could be good with a shot of rum Salty Sea Marrrgarita The ube gives it a nice twist. Very Good Cook's Corn Griddle Cakes Melted cheese, lime sour cream, chile peppers, cotija. Ordered with chicken. Delicious, this is a must. Kraken's Catch Octopus tentacles. Will order this next time. Island Provision Chips Various chips and dip. It is ok. Punch Plunder Kraken black spiced rum, blackberry, lime and vanilla. If u order this counts as two drink max. Get cool pirate mug. This is a must.

Yelp
If you like Oga's, you'll also enjoy Beak and Barrel. From the attentive service, yummy food and drinks, and ambiance, this is a Disney must do. I cannot wait to come back here with friends. The ube cocktail and mocktail are both delicious. We also ordered the dips and the chicken corn cake. Finally, some decent and delicious smaller eats at Magic Kingdom. I loved this so much. The only thing that could make this better is cocktails made to order, but I can't complain about this, as the drinks were good. This is a current hard to get reservation, but we got one same day for a few hours ahead. Keep checking the app for cancelations.

Yelp
The vibe here is pretty cool! I thought it'd be way more interactive, but it's still fun. Heads up if you're planning to eat--they only have like three food options, so don't come starving. You'll be seated with other people, which is fun if you're into that. Drinks are really good, and the staff are super quick and friendly! I wasn't super impressed but would come back for a quick visit.

Yelp
We recently visited the park and I snagged this reservation on opening night. It is a very immersive experience over all. From the moment you check in all the cast members are in role. We came just for drinks. It is a 2 drink limit per person, as well as there is a time limit of 45 mins for your group. The service is very quick and you aren't rushed! So no need to worry, 45 mins is enough time. They only have drinks, and non-alcoholic drinks, and little plates. You can access the menu on the My Disney Experience App. Our server was really fun and we were laughing and had a great time. It's Disney! It's magical. The bar itself is very detailed. We just kept looking around and spotting new things and the immersive events that happen throughout your experience are fun! Reminds me of Trader Sam's if you have ever been. My favorite drink was the Salty Sea Marrrregarita and the Lit Fuse. My husband favorite was the Lit Fuse and Hibiscus Rum Punch Royale. Overall it was a 10/10 experience. You can bring kiddos, there's some fun non alcoholic drinks for kids or anyone who does not drink. We are going to come back in December! The cast members were AMAZING and contributed to an amazing ambiance. Can't wait to come back! Maybe they will switch up the menus from time to time? Hope everyone enjoys their time!

Yelp
My wife was able to snag a last minute reservation here so we changed our plans to accommodate the reservation. It was totally worth it as the vibe was very cool and the drinks were tasty. We also enjoyed the island provisions appetizer which included tortilla chips, pita slices and plantain chips with 4 delicious dips. Definitely worth a stop if you can get a reservation!

Yelp
It was nice to be able to have a drink at Magic Kingdom. Cool vibes. Not a lot of stuff going on, I'd read different stuff happens when certain drinks are ordered but apart from the staff yelling occasionally and the parrot coming out - not much was going on. I'm tired of having to pay $20 for a cocktail, it's ridiculous especially for one that is pre-batched. Would only go back if I got a seat. They were very over the top about the 45min time limit - was annoying.

Yelp
I loved the pirate theming of The Beak and Barrel...our server really was the best and I think she took a good experience and made it great. She was super funny and interactive, and helped guide us towards tasty drink options. I especially loved the Hibiscus Rum Punch....delicious. I was going to try two different drinks (there's a 2 drink max during your 45 minute stay), but I ended up getting the same because it was just so tasty! There is a rotation of fun "show-like" things happening every 5-10 minutes, so while you're drinking and snacking you're fully entertained. We lucked out with a sit down table, though some spots were at the bar or at standing-only tables. We were very comfortable and I will definitely be back.

Yelp
The decor and theming of this place is great! I got the griddled corn cake with chicken that was also really tasty. However, the drinks I felt were lacking. We were a party of 2 people and the restaurant is VERY strict on their 45 min time limit so it was a bit disappointing that we didn't get seated until almost an hour after our reservation time.

Yelp
What a great addition to the Magic Kingdom next to the Pirates ride entrance. The place feels like a cross between Trader Sam's and Ogas Cantina with a Pirate theme. I love how the cast members stay in character and make for a fun visit. The parrot above the bar pops out to entertain the crowd and encourages more drinking . The menu has some fun themed cocktails, mocktails and a few beer selections. The food menu is small but good for a snack. We enjoyed the corn cakes which are sort of like pancake tamales in my opinion. Enjoy your time and watch out for stormy weather. I would come back

Yelp
We had an absolutely fantastic time at Beak and Barrel. The drinks are delicious, the food was very yummy and filling, and the best part of the whole experience was the service. This is a top notch Disney bar and will give you the same immersive Disney experience that you would expect anywhere else on property. The theming is very well done and makes you feel like you are in the heart of a pirates movie. We loved all 45 minutes of our time here and recommend you snag a reservation if you can.

Yelp
Very strict 2 drink maximum rule. I didn't know if this place was more Oga's Cantina at Hollywood Studios where it's more order as many drinks as you can in 45 minutes, but not this spot is 2 drinks and you're kicked out. First up, I tried an $18.50 Lit Fuse. I loved the smokey mezcal taste. It reminded me of a bunch of mezcal drinks at La CAVA del Tequila at EPCOT. I thought this was a legit good drink and a lot better than my 2nd drink. Up 2nd, I tried a $20 Siren's Whisper. It was alright. Kind of tasted like an AMF. Not a very big portion. Wouldn't get this one again. Like every ~10 minutes the parrot comes out and starts talking. Sometimes he leads a "Yo-Ho" chant, other times he just talks. I was seated way in a corner room so I couldn't really see. Bartenders are fun and talk as if they're pirates. Finally a place to drink at the Magic Kingdom.

Yelp
Disney's Pirate version of Oga's Cantina is close with big holes. Like Oga's there is a 45-minute time limit and 2 drink maximum. Our reservation was at 6:15. We were called at 6:30 and then it took until 7:00 to get our first drink. Drinks are small and overpriced but tasted great. Make SURE you get a chair. About 80% of the guests get a seat. The unlucky get to stand at a bar, shelf, or high top. The real problem is the food. There isn't really any. There is a chips and dips choice which is basic. The cornbread fritters were heavy (like literally heavy). The inside flavoring (chicken or poblano) was great, but completely over powered by the heavy, rich cornbread. So, will not be ordering them again. For such a place to have such limited options is odd. As the fritters are out - it is chips or octopus. If you get a seat - could be a great 45 minutes.

Yelp
It's super cute with the theming. The drinks are well themed and delicious. I would not come hungry. Limited food options and not great choices for kids.

Yelp
The hype of this place is off the charts. But I was as bought in as anyone who grew up loving Pirates of the Caribbean. I was prepared for the time & drink limit. I wasn't aware of the chance you may not get a seat. One thing can count on at Disney: a lot of walking and I love that. There's no exhaustion. like Disney exhaustion. But when it's time for a drink or food, you better believe that I want to sit down. The one and only time I went to Oga's I had this "luck" too and between the acoustics and being crammed into a hot space right on top of strangers, I almost passed out. The good thing about B & B is that it's much more spacious. I later heard that you can tell the hostess when you arrive for your reservation that you are willing to wait for seating. So that's my pro-tip. And if I ever return, I'll do the same. Theming is on point. Servers are all actors and really into it, which is so cool. As others mention, if they're going to enforce a time limit, then the servers need to be on the spot and ask you if you want that second drink midway through, not five minutes before your time is up. Our server was so nice, but pretty slammed. I didn't want a second drink but if I had, I would have had to flag him down. I wasn't in the mood for a cocktail, so I had a glass of decent bubbly. My husband enjoyed his cocktail. We didn't eat as I am a slow eater and I don't love rushing through a meal (not to mention, the plant based option here is not that appealing, just a couple dips for those chips everyone says that they don't bring enough of). Honestly, after watching the really cute animatronics, we just wanted to leave. Given the popularity of this place, Disney should realize that people want bars at Magic Kingdom. The days of Walt's idealism are a thing of the past and even if he wanted MK to be alcohol-free, that hasn't been the case in ages. Let the adults have their drinks if they want a couple!

Yelp
My daughter and I were finally able to snag a reservation, so we visited this afternoon. Our intention was just to get a drink or two because the ambiance and characters working there intrigued us. The food on the menu did not appeal to us, so we ate prior to getting there. We did have to wait about 15 minutes past our reservation to get sat. The service was great, the decor was amazing. Each guest is limited to 2 drinks and you can only be there for 45 minutes. I got the Hibiscus Rum Punch Royale and the Pirate's Paradise Blonde Ale. I was very happy with my drinks! My daughter got the Lit Fuse and we were both very disappointed with that drink. All we could taste was the smoke...nothing else. We could not drink even half of it. I do not recommend this drink. I was disappointed with the entertainment aspect of the place. Rummy would do his thing periodically. And that was nice. But none of the servers really did anything. I had seen previous videos of chanting, etc. Our Hosts did more than they did. Our server told a joke, but only because we sat next to a family with kids. She (Jamie) was good, but busy. The bartenders yelled out a couple of times. We were seated at a table with other people. 10 people total and we were 2. It was fine...no issues. It was nice to see a gentleman, I believe his name tag said Pill, was dressed in a suit, but he was bussing tables. That was nice to see. Not sure we'll be back, but it was a great experience. It's worth it to see it.

Yelp
Making reservations for this "experience" should only be done if you want to say you tried it--because that's about all you'll get out of it. And for the price, it's a hard pill to swallow. The entertainment is all crammed around the main bar. If your reservation sticks you in another room, you might as well have booked a steerage cabin on the Titanic--you'll miss everything. The whole thing falls far short of being entertaining or high-quality on any level. You get 45 minutes to eat, drink, or take in whatever's happening before they basically march you off the plank. Honestly, it felt like Disney took a chunk of the Pirates of the Caribbean queue, tossed a bar in the middle, slapped up some walls, and called it an attraction. I love Disney, but this one's a one out of ten. Don't waste your money.

Yelp
The Beak and Barrel delivers an experience thats like no other. The atmosphere including the servers is incredibly immersive. We lucked out with standing room in the center of the bar, giving us a perfect view of the entire lounge and all the action. The Cook's Corn Griddle Cakes with Chipotle-braised Chicken were flavorful and satisfying, but the drinks absolutely stole the show. Can't wait to come back and try more from their cocktail menu!

Yelp
I am ranking this high because we had a good time and decided that we wanted a 'money is no object' night out in the Magic Kingdom. Here is a tip to get a reservation here ... In the Disney app, at midnight, tables start to open the night before and will keep popping up at random times throughout the day. There were mostly icky times (during fireworks ... or right at opening) for 2 or 4 p.m. There were more options for one person. If you can't find 2 as a couple, try searching for 1 person and then grab a time. Keep checking for for one on the other person's Disney app and you may get 2 of the same reservation times. If not, you can cancel 2 hours before and not be charged $10. Once inside they literally time your 45 minutes inside once you enter the doors. It's weird, they give you a speech about not leaving your seat and walking around and tell you not to steal anything. At 45 minutes and 1 second our server basically told us 'it's time for you to leave'. We had an almost full drink ($20 worth) and he said 'you can chug it'. The bill for 4 drinks (one came in a souvineer mug and cost $46!) an appetizer and tip came to almost $170. An expensive 45 minutes! Pro tip ... there are two hosts with iPads who check you in. Ask them to give you a good table. You can't request this in the app but they can put in a request for you. You likely want to sit in the main 'mess hall' ... even better if you can get a table near the bar. In the mess hall, many of the tables are communal beer hall style tables ... so you,'ll be elbow to elbow with strangers. We would have been happy to stand at the bar ... but the host outside scored us a small table for two next to the bar. There are side rooms which are nice but at the bar or near the bar is the most fun. They do have little books and crannies for groups. They have an anamateonic parrot who comes out above the bar and tells a few jokes, etc. and like Trader Sam's people chant and sing Yo Ho Yo Ho It's a Pirates Life for me. There is also a lightening storm. We got the souvineer skull drink (each person can only order one) for $46. The mug is cool ... given that mixed drinks are $19 - $20, the mug itself would equal about $26, which is fine. The drink itself is rum mixed with vanilla. It was good if you like sweet things. I also had the Jack Daniels drink, which had some pepper syrup in it that made it spicy. It was good but I liked the signature drink better. You can also get beer for $12.75. I thought the $12 corn cake with chicken was delicious. My wife did not think so and only had a few bites. The corn cake was a bit stiff and chewy but the chicken and cheese inside was delicious. There are only 3 menu items ... so this is more of a bar than a restaurant. The vibe inside is fun. The lighting is cool and makes you feel like you are drinking in one of the passageways that brings you through the line in the Pirates ride. Flickering candles and yellow/orange dim lights. Everyone inside (mostly adults) seem happy and there is a nice buzz in the air. 45 minutes didn't seem like enough time. Overall, we thought this was a cool spot ... and honestly, booze is hard to get in the Magic Kingdom and we felt that being buzzed on thebrides after made them better. We found the drinks strong enough that two put us in a good buzzy state ... and we're fine with a 2 drink limit each. Drinking them so fast (we were barely 1/4 through before he told us to order a refill to stay within the time limit) also probably added to the buzz. Bottom line is we felt it was totally worth it as a fun experience but it won't be everyone's cup of tea.

Yelp
Finding a reservation during Halloween season was a little tricky. Walt Disney has many party nights where the park closes early, so I needed to work around that, but ultimately there were spots that would open up the morning of, night before, and hours before on the same day we went. Just keep checking for reservations in the app, likely one will open up. The check-in process was quite chaotic, you check-in on the app, then you must also check-in with a person standing near the entrance. You have to wait outside the entrance door and hope you hear your name. We waited ~25 minutes from our reservation time/check-in. Location is well themed and amazing details inside, but where you are seated will really determine your experience. We were placed in the very back corner and couldn't see the bar or initial room at all, so this was very disappointing, as we really missed out on much of the "happenings." The Treasure trove mocktail was a great deal with cake pops side items, highly recommend. They should sell additional cake pops, as I would've bought some. My husband had the fruity punch drink in the souvenir pirate mug, and it was tasty and quite strong. They warn you about the 2 drink per person max and 45-minute time window multiple times, given prices they should increase that some for a better overall experience, when the newness wears some. This would likely be a rare, special experience for us in the future, prefer Trader Sams.

Yelp
Such a fun bar from the atmosphere to the servers talking in a pirate accent, I got the nonalcoholic mocktail drink which came with caramel popcorn, a chocolate cannonball, and a vanilla white chocolate cake pop I didn't like the vanilla white chocolate cake pop but the cannonball in the popcorn are really good. the mocktail was very interesting flavor with Ube and coconut water. I also got the corn cake which was amazing is very similar to an Arepa. The atmosphere was very immersive with elements of surprise happening throughout the bar different interactions with the servers and with the bartenders I really enjoyed the experience here and will be back again with friends to check out more drinks and food items

Yelp
Wow! A bar at MK? Who would've thought! Everything about this place was great. The theming, the service, the drinks, everything was A+. Hoping we can get reservations every time we go to MK. This spot is a must do!
google avatar

Coni B.

Yelp
My hope may have been toooo high here. It's about time that MK gets a bar. I was excited about the theme with close proximity to Pirates anyways. Grant it's only been open little bit- the kinks reallllly need to be worked out. And there are a lot. I assumed it would be like Oga's at HS. In a way it is. Everything is premade, food and drinks. You'll most likely be placed next to someone else. Other than that the vibe is very different. It's spread out and a lot to see. However the real action is centrally located at the bar, which isn't in view at most parts inside. So you'd have to leave where you're located, crowd around everyone else just to see what's going on. Both food and drinks are mid. The margarita was great. The others shared weren't good or worth it. The octopus is amazing! But it needs to come with some chips/plantains. I order the dip spread and the dips are ok but again you'd prob get nearly enough chips. When I asked for some more I was told no, that I'd have to make another order entirely. What? No. The time is limited and they aren't joking. I placed my drink order and was told what I wanted next. Yes told, because if I didn't order it then I wouldn't have time to order another..... I'm sure I'll give it another shot but it is def not a need to visit. Which is a bummer as it's such a great idea for MK. A nice place to break away. It's also all ages, so expect crying kids. I'm sure with time it will all calm down. Until then- going know it's the experience and it's not the most magical of experiences.

Yelp
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, let's see... we are season pass holders, and not the lowest tier. I mention this not to be haughty, but do to the following (if one can understand where I will be going with this review). We make reservations a week in advance to this new Disney restaurant, which is promoted as being immersive. They limit you to 45 minutes to have snack and a drink or two, and to presumably enjoy the immersion and cast members role playing. Upon entry we were escorted through the main bar/restaurant area, the same area where we had learned is where the interaction / immersion takes place, around the corner and completely out of view of this "interaction/ immersion" area and seated on hard ass bar stools against a wall, opposite the main area and unable to see a damn thing over there. This location was about 20+ feet around the corner, with a wall that was from floor to ceiling. Sure, this side of the wall was "decorated" with pirate themed items - NOT our immediate wall, but across from us where other unable-to-view diners were seated (in booths and tables that at least had padded seats!). Although we were tempted to leave we did not want to get hit up on Disney's "no show" policy by having our credit card dinged and opted to spend what money we would have been charged on something to drink, of the alcoholic variety (a new and novel idea at MK). I ordered the Pirate's Paradise Blonde Ale (Victory Brewing Co.) that was on the minimal menu and the wife orders a cocktail, both of which are overpriced which is Disney's modus operandi. The wife decides to order their "Island Provisions" (Plantain Chips, Blue Corn Tortillas, and Toasted Flatbread served with Mango Chutney, Garlic Chimichurri, Spiced Guava, and Zesty Culantro Cream Dips). The ale was cold and tasty enough that I ordered a second one. The wife enjoyed her cocktail and stated it was not watered down. The "Island Provisions" was okay, with the better half enjoying it more than I did. As we were eating and drinking something took place (twice) around the corner, at the main bar/restaurant area, but because of all us serfs that were sequestered out of direct view we could not see what was going on, even upon leaving our spot to go see because EVERYONE else seated on our side sprinted over to see the "show" whatever it was. Anyway you slice it this definitely could've been better (2 stars) and we definitely will not return to this venue. TLDR: Seated out of view of the action, on hard ass bar stools. Snack and drinks were okay. Was unable to partake/see/enjoy any "immersive" activity. Not going back. P.S. if you read some of these 3 star reviews these people write them as if they are a 2, like this one, but must be afraid of "disrespecting" Disney. If there ain't no magic, there ain't no magic! Sheeeeshhh...

Yelp
This immersive themed restaurant inside of Disney, could never disappoint. The staff is constantly 'on', creating an experience in a restaurant, not just delicious cocktails. From singing, and yelling, and haunted surprises around the corner, it's hard to not love your time inside. I would definitely call this an interactive experience rather than a place for a quick drink. Reservations are a little challenging to get right now, but worth the hassle. Every detail of this shop was built with intention and it's hard not to love every one of them.

Yelp
We were lucky to score reservations for Beak and Barrel twice during the first opening round of reservation's. Unfortunately, Rummy the animatronic parrot who runs the bar was not working during our second visit. You heard his voice but didn't get to see him moving above the bar so it wasn't the same experience. The experience is 45 min long and they are strict on letting you know when your time to leave is coming up. It's Disney so drinks are not cheap but you are paying for the experience and it is a unique one. For the two of those, it came to $58 for two drinks and the island provisions chip appetizer and that is before gratuity.

Yelp
Very comparable to the thought process that went into Oga's in Hollywood. Nice spot to get out of the heat, small plate snacks, 45 minute max with max of two drinks per person. Would suggest you do your homework on what drinks you want ahead of time. Our server asked us what two we wanted when he took our order. They were spaced out but I would prefer to try one before I order it again incase I didn't like it. Would say it's much better than Oga's if you're trying to pick between the two.

Yelp
Value for money: 4.5 Cleanliness: 5 Food Quality: 5 Customer Service: 5 (hilarious casts) Look and Feel (Ambiance): 5 Thank you, Come Again?: 5 Beak & Barrell is a swashbuckling gem tucked inside Magic Kingdom--a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed pub that goes all-in on immersive atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, you're surrounded by rum bottles, pirate treasure, and cheeky nautical decor that makes you feel like you've stumbled into a tavern straight out of Tortuga. The staff is fully committed to the theme, interacting with guests as if they're part of the crew, which adds a playful and theatrical touch to the experience. Every so often, the bar "comes to life" with sound effects like rainfall and a talking parrot perched nearby--such a fun surprise that keeps the energy high. We tried ordering the Kraken Catch (marinated octopus ceviche), but unfortunately they couldn't modify it to remove the almond foam due to my food allergy, so we skipped it. For drinks, we went with the Plunderer's Punch, which comes in a signature skull mug ($46)--definitely pricey, but you're paying for the limited edition souvenir. The Cursed Treasure was a coconut milk and cookie crumb drink ($7.75) that was kid-friendly. Overall, Beak & Barrell is more about the experience than the food, and it delivers a memorable escape for Pirates fans. If you love themed environments and playful interactions, this pub is worth a stop on your Magic Kingdom adventure.
